The only good thing that came out of Eternals was the confirmation that Thanos was, indeed, a Prince of Titan. Like bitch we been knew, but it is hilarious to me that Thanos is finally canonically a Disney Prince.

Spoiler me, tell me everything wrong with the Eternals movie

I don't really feel like going on another full rant right now because I'm trying to stay relaxed today, but I will say one thing: it, especially a certain scene, thoroughly destroys Thanos's whole purpose in being traumatized as the last of his kind, his connection to the Eternals, and his character history in Infinity War and the novel Thanos: Titan Consumed (which was SUPPOSED to be canon before they retconned it).

I see a lot of sources trashing the film for other things, but I couldn't really give a rat's ass about the pacing issues with the film, I only ever get salty about characterization and continuity. And all the wasted potential. It has the lowest rating of any MCU film on Rotten Tomatoes though (including the most hated ones) so that should tell you something lol

It may sound arrogant to say, but I truly do think I am better at characterization than the actual Marvel writers and the films would be better if they hired me to write them all because I would be focused on the characters, not box office popularity. But instead we are stuck in the worst possible timeline where canon means nothing to even the studio anymore.

It's okay though because I long ago made the switch to headcanon anyway so it doesn't ruin anything for me. I had to separate from adhering to canon for my own sanity, and for the sake of my writing (I haven't been using my RP blog as much lately because of hectic life circumstances and also other projects such as fics I am writing, but I definitely do still privately RP with friends so my Thanos is still out here evolving.)

marvel’s what if is actually so fun. like yeah it’s goofy as shit sometimes and the plot of each episode has to be very simple and “villain of the week” style but it’s so fun. the first two episodes so far have made me grin like an idiot (apart from the sad parts sigh but those are rare luckily)

Oh hell here we go again

Now good-Thanos is a real thing AND I’M TOTALLY IN THAT TRAIN NO MATTER THE CONTEXT. Tbh I didn’t like how they used it in What if…? 1x02 but I’m very grateful for the development of such concept with that wonderful facial animation. Thanos being nice and joyful is my new favourite thing (keep in mind the last thing we got from him was the I’m-going-to-destroy-your-little-planet-while-I’m-enjoy-it-Thanos from Endgame which still depress me a lot T.T), and even if the plot of the episode wasn’t for me, watching him and Nebula actually getting a step forward in their relationship is almost therapeutic T.T
