Now back on the surface, Penn asked what I had found down the well and I explained what I found and how there was a person singing down there and that the distortion of the well made the music sound threatening. He was glad that was all it was and mystery solved. He gave me my reward of a silver rupee then took off to go write his story. Side Adventures – An Eerie Voice (complete).

I dropped down the well and inside was a woman singing and it wasn’t Zelda. The woman was surprised to see me and when I told her what was going on, she said that wasn’t what she was singing, the lyrics were completely different and not creepy at all. She was down here because the acoustics were better but she did understand that the echo made the lyrics seem different above ground, and it also now made sense why people were throwing weapons down here. She said I could take what ever I wanted. Penn then hollered down at me and asked what happened, and I was taken back up to the surface.

Sunset Bay Job #3: Hundred-Year-Old Memories

The next job was an old house that had a limited budget that a family wanted to renovate. I had to clean the outside and found out the house was blue and not brown. Same for the inside, I had to clean the walls inside too then replace a lot of the furniture. The first decision I had to make was how to do the kitchen. I chose the elegant way and replaced the tile and cabinets with white. I then went into one of the bedrooms and found a safe in the closet that had money in it. So I could spend a little more. The second decision was on the bathroom, I just added to what was there and didn’t make many changes. I finished the job and made $6,311.18.

It was nighttime, so I went to talk to Penn and he told me about the voice again out on Fural Plain to the northwest and wondered if it was really Princess Zelda. He was going to head out there and will meet me there. I made it out to the plain and Penn and I heard a voice and he got scared and couldn’t move, so I went on and followed the voice until I got to the Haran Lakefront Well. It sounded like singing coming from down there asking to ‘leave their arms, or they’ll do you harm.’ Creepy.

I headed out of the cave to the seashore and found a korok that needed to be reunited with his friend. The camp wasn’t too far, so I picked it up and carried it to his friend where he gave me two korok seeds as thanks. I now have 157 seeds. I continued to explore around and on a cliff I found a stump with a cork that I had to take out. I just attached a rocked to it and it popped right out to reveal a korok. It gave me my 158th seed (232 total).

I went around the side of the stable and found the Highland Stable Well and dropped down into it. It was blocked by rocks, so I bombed them to open it up and had to fight some monsters and found some treasure. It eventually opened up to the Komo Shoreline Cave and to the outside where the sea was. I went back in and looked around for the glow frog and ended up finding it behind breakable rocks in the ceiling. I then got my 37th Bubbul Gem (83 total).

Sunset Bay Job #2: Man’s Job

I continued with the HGTV DLC jobs in the Sunset Bay area and the next one was someone named Ed who needed help renovating the house. I first picked up all the trash in the yard and cleaned up the inside, then I could make decisions on the first room. I decided to go with a stylish living room and kitchen. I even had to decorate one of the bedrooms. The second decision was a back room that I decided to make an office. I also noticed that there was another room and I destroyed a wall and found some stairs to a secret basement. I decorated that too with the recommended items. I then completed the job and made $8,484.91.

I talked to the Highland Stable owner after checking out the empty frame and he said he would like to paint a picture of the Giant White Stallion that was really rare and was supposed to have been seen nearby. But it was only a rumor, so he didn’t know if it was real or not and didn’t want to go out and waste time away from the stable if it wasn’t. If he had a picture, he could paint it no problem. Side Quests – A Picture for Highland Stable. It was now raining and when I turned to leave the stable there was a girl near the door that said that her friend Pyper had lit a fire outside and burned part of the field. He had been trying to get her to laugh, but it hadn’t been funny. He just said he wanted to show her a glowing tree, but instead tried to light a fire and burned everything. Then he just disappeared, probably to go play his flute. Mmmm. That may be one of the music players.

There was an old buy inside the stable that had information on two different things. One was of a strange animal with horns and tusks that ran off to the forest to the east. Others at the Lakeside Stable claimed to have seen it too. He’s probably talking about the Dondons. The other piece of information was that he heard a flute nearby on the northeast side of the stable. I’ll have to go check it out.

I found Penn again and he had another scoop for me. There was a rumor that a vice could be heard every day on the plains nearby that spooked everyone who passed by. They’ve also been throwing their weapons down the well out there. Side Adventures – An Eerie Voice. Penn said that we should investigate together and to come back at night. Sure thing.

I followed another light coming from a cave and t was the Floria River Upstream Excavation, similar to the others. I had to solve a puzzle to get the gate open. I had to get the electricity over to the door by using metal cubes and the hoover device to hold them up. Once it was opened I got a Topaz from the chest. Then I dropped down the hole in the floor and found the glow frog and got my 36th Bubbul Gem (82 total). I was wandering around and I found a skeleton horse on the surface. Cool. I took it back to Highland Stable and got a pony point with the owner since it was the first time I was there. I couldn’t register it since it was technically not a horse. Oh well.

House Renovation #31: Alone Home

It has been a while since I’ve played House Flipper, but I was in the mood to decorate. I also found out about the Steam Workshop that had items that people had created, so I downloaded a couple of stuff…or a lot. I then started decorating the next house, Alone Home, which was a model of the house from Home Alone with the remnants of the traps. There were a lot of small rooms and I had no idea how to decorate, so I looked up a video on YT and I used it as inspiration while throwing in my own ideas. Since it was decorated for Christmas, I kept with the theme and it came out so nice. I sold it to Jack Tarinton for $357,867.35.

Following the lights from the Cherry Tree, I found the Pagos Woods Excavation Site and it was a small cave that had lazers on a track with some zonai devices. I had to hit the lazers one after the other to get the gate to open, so I attached a fan to a cart and went through so I could get through the gate to the chest with a Large Zonai Charge. Then through the grate, I could see the glow frog, but I couldn’t get to it. I had to search around until I found a hole in the floor that I could drop down into and go up to the other side. I then hit the grog and got it’s Bubbul Gem, bringing my total to 34. I left the cave and wandered around and found the Finra Woods Excavation Site. It was kind of the same as the previous one and I had to find a way to get the door open. I ended up attaching a rocket to the spinning wheel so it would turn and open it, then I could go in and get the chest with the Large Zonai Charge. This time the hole to get to the other side of the grate was above me so I climbed up and dropped to the other side and found the glow frog. It gave me my 35th Bubbul Gem (81 total).

I traveled on and made it to the Guchini Plain Barrows and started to explore around. In a broken stump, I found a glitter spot where a Korok was hiding and it gave me my 155th seed (229 total). I then found a Cherry Tree and activated it to find the caves in the area. While heading to a cave, I found the Utsushok Shrine: Long or Wide and this one was fun. I had to use the hanging paddles to hit a ball down a track to a target, each puzzle I had to swing the paddle higher to hit the target and ultimately had it hit a cart so I could get to the other side to the altar. I then could grab my 21st Light of Blessing.

I was exploring on my way back I found a cliff with a windmill and it revealed some balloons that I had to pop. I did so to make the Korok appear and it gave me my 153rd seed. Nearby I found a small pond that had a hidden alcove of rock and I found some statues with empty baskets in front of them. I put some apples in and another Korok appeared and gave me my 154th seed (228 total). I made it back to the Lakeside Stable and found Kampo, the guy who had given me the quest for the Hinox Brothers. When I told him he said he could tell I wasn’t lying and thanked me by giving me some Mighty Fried Bananas. He then said that now that the giants were gone, guests will start coming back. Side Quests – Ousting the Giants (complete).

The Wolf Among Us part 3

This is a continuation of the last part, the rest of Chapter 5 where I went to inspect Prince Lawrence's apartment where he lived with Faith. I headed inside and did not expect what I found. Then I went through the last chapter of the episode and still didn't get a whole lot of answers and yet another murder. Here is what happened.

Episode 1: Chapter 5 part 2 - Consequences

I started the new chapter talking to Snow as we headed to Prince Lawrence's apartment. She wanted to do things quickly so they should pick a way to do things and stick with it, but Bigsby said that murder investigations don't work that way, it was rarely simple. Snow just didn't want anything to fall through the cracks.

We made it to Lawrence's apartment and went inside and found him on the floor nearly dead from a gunshot to the head. I had to go get him some water and headed to the kitchen. On the fridge was a note from Faith that said to not look for her.

I went back to the living room with the water, gave it to Lawrence, and asked him who did it, but all he said was "Faith" after that he died. I started looking around and found the gun, but it hadn't been fired recently and the bullet casting matched the gun. With a hole in the wall, it looked like Lawrence shot himself...but that didn't make sense. If he shot himself in the head and he just died, but the gun was last used a week ago...that means he would have been lying here dying for a week? But there was also a knife with blood on it, was he stabbed too? So many questions.

I was looking around the apartment again and started to open the closet doors when someone suddenly burst out and ran out the door. I don't know who he was, but he had blood on him and I continued to chase him through another apartment building. The chase was fast and I couldn't take many pictures, but I was able to follow him out a window and into a dumpster outside.

The man said he was a private investigator and said he had nothing to do with what happened to Lawrence, but Bigby didn't believe it since he was covered in blood. He had just come to ask about the girl, Faith, and didn't know that Lawrence didn't know she was dead. He then shot himself before he could do anything. The man then said that he knew Bigby was looking for the Woodsman and had heard from his employer that he was at a place called the Trip Trap and that they could go together.

Bigby said no and he wanted to know who had hired him, but the man said it was confidential. So instead Bigby wanted to take him back to the office, but the man said Dum. Bigby got confused and repeated it, but the man said, no, he was Dee, that was Dum. Before Bigby could turn around, someone hit him from behind and knocked him out. I then understood that they were the twins Tweddle Dee and Tweddle Dum from Alice in Wonderland.

After a minute or so, Bigby woke up to Snow hovering over him. She said that she found him lying there and after asking where they went, she said that the twins, after kicking him a bit, got into a car and took off. Bigby said that Dee had mentioned the Trip Trap, so that was where they had to go next.

While in the cab, Snow voiced how uneasy she was about everything. Bigby said that they had to talk to the Woodsman since he was the last person who had been with Faith and the only lead they have. Snow then asked who I thought did it. I had to give an answer and I didn't know what to chose, but based on the information I had, I chose the Woodsman. I wasn't completely sure, but he did have a motive. We won't know for sure unless we talk to him and get answers.

Snow then made a comment that seeing all this, it made her see that the Fables were struggling a lot more than she thought. She just wished she could do more. The system was broken and she wasn't helping the ones that really need it. I then had a choice of what to say and told her that she will figure it out and trusts that she will do the right thing. We then made it to the Trip Trap and it was a shady place, so Bigby was going to go in alone while Snow went back to the office.

Episode 1 : Chapter 6 - Trip Trap

Bigby went into the bar and there were only two people inside, the bartender and a guy at the end of the bar, neither of them was the Woodsman. When Bigbsy asked if the Woodsman was here the woman behind the bar was rude and said he wasn't here so he could leave. Of course, Bigby didn't listen and came in to ask again if they had seen him but the woman said he hadn't been in here for a while and it was just the two of them as she kept glancing at the man at the bar. Obviously taking cues from him.

Bigby went to go sit next to the guy at the bar and he wasn't too happy about it. Bigby just said that he didn't want to be here either but the sooner that he answered his questions, the sooner he would leave. But was they were talking there was a flush from a side door, so obviously someone was here and who was it? The Woodsman. But he didn't run, he just sat down at the other end of the bar saying he was done fighting.

Bigy got up to go and talk to him but the man at the bar, Gren, stopped him but he just said that it's been a long day and he wasn't going to leave without answers. Gren said that maybe he didn't want to talk to him, but the Woodsman said it was okay. So Bigby went to sit next to the Woodsman and he started talking about how the tables had turned, he was the bad guy while the Big Bad Wolf was the Sheriff. I then got to ask my questions.

I told him that he knew why I was here and the Woodsman started talking about something entirely different. I thought in the beginning he was talking about casing Faith's house to rob her, but the Woodsman said that she had money, he was sure of it...but Faith and Lawrence were broke, that's why she had resorted to prostitution. And he was going to do it, but then Bigby was there.

All of it didn't make any sense but when he said "Grandma" I realized he was talking about Red Riding Hood and her grandmother. He had been planning on robbing the grandmother, but the Big Bad Wolf was already there, so he had saved her thinking he would get a reward, but he didn't get anything. Everyone was thinking he was something he wasn't and he didn't even get anything out of it. I had another choice but missed it since the timeline was too fast so I didn't get to ask him if he killed Faith.

Instead Gren, the other guy at the bar started speaking up and got angry how Bigby was a lap dog for the rich people in the Woodlands and don't care about the poor. I tried to say that it wasn't like that, he knew that there were problems with the way things worked, but that didn't have anything to do with what was happening.

Gren continued on his run on how Holly, the barmaid's sister had gone missing but no one seemed to care, not even the bitch Snow White who just pushed him out of the office. I was given some new choices and chose to stick up for Snow and BIgby got up and in Gren's face telling him to not call Snow names or it will end badly.

Gren called Bigby Snow White's bitch and Bigby hit him knocking him to the floor. But it wasn't over. Instead Gren shifted into his Fable form, some sort of monster that looked wrapped in cloth, as did Holly who was a troll. A fight then insured.

I found it was easier to fight with mouse instead of controller since i kept missing all the prompts, but the fight turned nasty and Bigby started to get his ass kicked, but then he shifted too and became some sort of hybrid of his wolf form and started to kick Gren's ass. Soon the fight was over after Bigby stabbed Gren in the shoulder with a pool pole.

I was then given the option to keep going or stop and I chose to stop. He then walked over to the bar, ordered a drink and drank it down while he calmed down. The Woodsman asked if he was going to be treated like that if he let Bigby take him in, but Bigby said that if he came quietly, he'd be treated with respect. But if he had killed the girl, then...well he knew what that meant.

I thought everything was settled but then the door to the bar opened and Dee stepped in, still wearing his bloody shirt, saying that he would give anyone $100 if they had information on a girl. But he stopped and saw that Bigby was there. It was then pandemonium and everything went very fast. Dee started to run back through the door and the Woodsman started to turn to the back door to take off. I had to choose who to go after.

After talking to the Woodsman, he didn't seem like he was completely there, but for some reason, I didn't think he killed Faith. But Dee on the other hand, had been there when Lawrence was killed and he had his twin knock me out. So I went after Dee and Bigby put him under arrest and led him out the door.

I guess the Woodlands weren't too far because they just walked there, but there were blue flashing lights up ahead. So Bigby handcuffed Dee to a pole so he could go check it out. The scene then played out with the Woodland apartments being blocked off by police and yellow tape. Beast ran up and was stopped by a police officer, so something had happened.

Bigby just walked under the police tape and went to the steps of the apartments where a bunch of police were huddled and on the steps where Faith's head had been found just days before was a new head...Snow White's. Oh Damn.

The chapter ended and I was shown various scenes on what would be happening in Episode 2 and looks like more is going to happen including the questioning of Dee, the Woodsman being loose, confrontation with Beast and Belle, and something to do with Scrooge.

What a wild ride, this was only the first episode and a lot has happened especially in the last few chapters. So I'll state the facts. Faith was the prostitute who had died whose head had turned up on the steps of the Woodland Apartments. She had an altercation with the Woodsman right before that and doesn't know where he went after, so he doesn't have an alibi. Faith's husband died in his apartment, but whether he did it himself is unclear, Dee had been hiding in his closet and had run off, so that is suspicious. Then with Snow, I had just left her and she was alive and the Woodsman had been in the restroom, though if he got out from that way that meant there was a back door...I may be looking too deep into it though. Dee is also suspicious since he walked in after, don't know where he was before that. Not sure if it was enough time for either of them to kill Snow. I'll have to see what else I I find out in Episode 2. Until then, Happy Gaming!

It took some looking around, but I found the last cave, Rodai Lakefront Tunnel that was pretty deep and I dropped down a hole and found the glow frog and it gave me my 33rd Bubbul Gem (79 total). I went further in and it was really dark, so I threw around some brightblooms and revealed the Youngest Brother, the Red Hinox. He didn’t take too long to beat, now I just have to head back to the stable to tell the guy I beat them all.
