babsxkean:
Babs felt her cheeks go warm at Pam’s initial reaction, her fingers lacing together in her lap for a moment. It had always been tough for her to ask for help, or even – as the case may be – ask about asking for help. “I thought she would like to get the chance to use her PhD,” she said, with a little smile. She had thought about asking Lee, but something held her back. She couldn’t quite put it into words what it was, except that she felt like she couldn’t explain this darkness, this cold self, inside of her, to Lee. Babs couldn’t help but snort softly. “I think certain clownish individuals infuriate a lot of us,” she said. “Although it’s difficult to avoid her – and the rest of those things around here, for that matter.”
Tumblr media
“Oh, yes, she brings it up only every day.” Pamela laughed. She studied Barbara’s face and bit her lip. She could only guess at what Babs was going through. “There are far too many clowns in this city for my taste.” Pam said with her teeth grit. When Barbara mentioned her, Pamela frowned deeper. She hated Punchline and she hated that Harley seemed to be hating the other clown less and less recently. She was worried to say the least. Perhaps even a bit jealous? No. Harley had ruined her life once by loving a clown, there was no chance she would do it again... would she? “Well, I just hope that maybe she’ll become collateral damage in one of Ivy’s rampages. That would solve so many problems.”

[ yell ] for your muse to calm mine down // @poisoned-kisses
Tumblr media
“Aw, babe, c’mon!” Harley yelled, looking at the destruction around them. She was lucky that she was still alive, considering Ivy was such a raging bitch. She guessed that it was Pam’s love for her that was keeping her alive. “Can’t we leave some people not mutilated an’ sufferin’? This street is startin’ ta look like a sea of blood. What if one of those heroes sees ya? I don’t trust ‘em not ta hurt ya.” Reaching out, she gingerly took one of Ivy’s hands in her own, squeezing it. “Please come back ta me, my lil’ petunia,” she pleaded. “Otherwise I’m throwin’ myself inta an Arkham cell fer a vacation.”
Ivy had ignored Harley’s presence for long enough as she raged down the street, running sharpened roots through the citizens that dared to get in her way. She spun on the blonde, a wicked smile curving her lips. “As long as I am connected to the Green, I am immortal. I live in these plants that surround us. No man can destroy me now.” Ivy said, drinking in the fear in the blonde’s face. When Harley’s hand touched hers, she tried to jerk it back, but something stopped her, for just a moment.
She blinked, and for a moment, she was Pamela again. Tears streamed down her face as she looked at her wife. “I’m sorry. I can’t stop her.” She managed to choke out before Ivy took over once more and pushed Harley away from her.
Ivy could tell that Pamela was awake, just below the surface, and this woman was to blame. She narrowed her ink-black eyes. “Get it through your thick, human skull. Pamela Isley is dead.” Ivy snarled, but the words came out as disingenuous. She launched a root at the blonde, hoping to end this nuisance once and for all, but she missed. Likely the work of Pamela trying to take over. She growled, becoming more enraged; then, she launched a series of roots at the blonde, beginning a deadly attack.

jeremiah-valeska:
@fallengothamstarters
“You’ve got the wrong guy! Leave me alone!” Jeremiah called back to the small group of people chasing after him. They were all dressed in a colourful fashion and yet they somehow seemed terrifying despite that. Like horrible clowns that would came after you in your worst nightmares. He assumed them to be followers of Jerome. So the moment he saw them of course he booked it. He was nearly out of breath now- something he blamed on being a hermit. He spent at least the last few months having not run at all. Turning a corner, Jeremiah somehow managed to trip on his feet and fell against the hard concrete. He could still hear the thundering footsteps coming his way but when he glanced up after him he saw someone else instead. “Where’d they go?!”
Tumblr media
Ivy had seen the clowns chasing Jeremiah and swiftly took them out, dragging them into the depths of the earth with the roots of a nearby tree. She smiled that the ginger, but all of her smiles came off as poisonous these days so she wouldn’t be shocked if the young man was terrified of her. She wouldn’t mind it, either. Pamela’s wife might be fond of this boy, but Ivy couldn’t care less about him. She’d mostly taken out the clowns for her own revenge---plus she had to defend her territory. There was no way in sweet hell Joker was taking Little Italy from her. “I handled them,” Ivy said, her voice coming out like a sickly sweet song. Her pitch black eyes studied Jeremiah’s face, but there was no recognition in it. Nothing substantial, anyways. He very likely knew who she was---she was a terror of Gotham, after all. “And where were you off to so quickly, Jeremiah?”

losing control // self para
Summary: Pamela loses control of Robinson Park to the Joker and subsequently loses control of Ivy. Date: September 15th Trigger warnings: murder! rage! mental instability! plants?! Mentions: @harleenqueenzel @ofenigma
When the Joker invaded Robinson Park with his army of clowns, Pamela had been peacefully planting a new patch of trees. She had been trying to focus on calming activities such as gardening to keep Ivy slumbering. The clowns swept into the park like a wave of cheap makeup and the hideous clash of green and purple (she would never understand why Nygma adored the horrible pair of colours) and she hardly had time to stand before they were upon her. The Joker himself had actually come to claim the park with his henchmen and he laughed maniacally as a swarm of clowns held Pamela down, making her watch as the rest of them trampled flower beds and chopped up the trees and threw their little grenades around.
She felt Ivy stir as soon as the first note of clown-laughter hit her ears, but now she was fully awake. Pamela all but shoved the reins into Ivy’s hands and allowed her more powerful half to wreak havoc on the clowns. Maybe, if she was really lucky, Joker would end up collateral damage. Wouldn’t that be the perfect gift for Harley’s birthday. Pam then transitioned into Ivy, her skin blooming moss green. She closed her eyes. When she opened them again, they were completely black, dark as obsidian.
Ivy woke up surrounded by clowns, her park---her home---in ruin, and that man standing in front of her laughing. Mocking her. Believing she was powerless. This made her want to laugh, so she did, starting with a dark chuckle that built up into a cackle. The clowns paused as she laughed, looking to their leader whose laughter had subsided when he realized the change in the woman in front of him. He looked at her for a moment, and then realization that the rumours were true must have dawned on him, because he abruptly turned and left the park, muttering to one of his higher ranking clowns (?????) before he left. Ivy was amused with his show of cowardice. Of course he would leave. Men were so predictable.
In a blur, Ivy killed at least seven clowns before she realized that the park could not be saved at this time and she fled into a part of the city that had not been claimed by neither the Defiance nor the Fellowship. Something about the best pizza in town being a sacred place not to be defiled. Ivy grinned at the idea, thinking it the perfect bait to lure victims into her new lair. The woman that was currently more plant than human stood in front of the pizza shop now, grinning manically as she dug deep into the roots beneath her and slowly bringing them up to the surface. She weaved her trees and plants and flowers into every crack of Little Italy, ignoring the screams of the civilians who ran and the screams of those crushed by buildings that she tore apart with the heavy roots that transformed into thick-trunked trees.
When Ivy was finished building her forest, she built herself a throne out of roots and flowers and sat in it. The anger boiling under her skin was fresh and hot, and she would have enough anger to keep Pamela asleep for a while---a suitable consolation prize after losing the park to the person which she despised the most.

Thorn smiled up at her mother. She liked to think that of all her siblings, she was the most like Pam, which made her happy. She wouldn’t actually admit this to anyone, but she desperately wanted Pam to be proud of her. To approve of what she did. “Yeah, I guess,” she said, with an impatient little shrug. “But this is about family. We have to stick together now.” She nodded. “I know we can,” she said firmly.
Tumblr media
Pamela knew that while Thorn appeared to be prickly on the outside, she was feeling something else underneath, so she decided not to press the matter. She smiled when her daughter emphasized the word family. It had been a very long time since their values were in the same category and Pamela wouldn’t change having Thorn by her side for anything. “Optimism is a good look on you.” She smiled. “Alright, then. Next time I see you, I want you to have conquered a park, okay?” She said with a hint of playfulness in her tone. It was good to challenge Thorn to keep her interested---and occupied.

“Thank you, I do try to be precious.” He looked down at the vine wrapping him around his legs, climbing up to his chest – he wondered if they fell under the umbrella of his limits. He could manipulate plants, but these sure as hell weren’t normal plants. He tried to push them down with a spell, and they inched downward just a bit, but not a lot. Definitely not enough. “Play with me, huh? I like Yahtzee.”
Tumblr media
“Your arrogance is not charming, child.” Ivy said as she tightened the vines around him to emphasize her point. She wanted to squeeze him until he popped, but she could feel Pamela stirring and struggling for control at the mere thought of murdering another innocent and she wanted to stay awake for a while longer. She had bigger fish to fry. “Your magic cannot overcome the strength of the Green, magician.” Ivy’s laugh was a harsh cackle. “How about a game of Life... or death. If you can name three endangered plant species, I’ll let you live.”

“I suppose we do have that in common…” Edward said with a soft sigh. “For me, it never went away. I don’t think that it ever will, either. There will always be a dark side to me no matter how much I try to push him away. I need you to understand that I can’t offer you any advice to get rid of Ivy.” He prefaced, trying to make sure she understood that. “Do you have black outs where you lose time?” He queried. “That’s how mine started. After accidentally killing… Kristen-” It still hurt to say her name. “-I remember going to sleep and when I woke up she was gone.”
Tumblr media
“Oh, that’s comforting,” Pamela mumbled. “Sorry. I know that must be hard for you. I understand, now.” She replied with a heavy sigh. “I just wish there was an easy way out. Or a way to subdue her.” Pam stirred her drink and then drained at least half of it. “Every time she wakes up, I go to sleep. So, yes. Many black outs and then waking up covered in leaves or blood or both.” The redhead’s anxiety crawled up her throat from where it had permanently curled up in her stomach. “I---I can’t even imagine. I’m terrified that Ivy will... But she loves Harley too, I can feel it.”

Babs bit her lip. She had been mulling something over for a while now, but she felt – to her utter frustration and embarrassment – shy about asking. “Well…” She cleared her throat. “Does…do you think – if I asked Harley, would…” She swallowed. Why was this so hard? “Would she be comfortable being my ther–” She paused again. “My…my therapist?” In a rush, she added, “I would pay her, of course. Whatever the standard rate is these days.” God, was she blushing? Ugh. She nodded at Pam’s question. “Yes, please,” she said. She looked up at the other woman. “What sort of thing triggers her?”
Tumblr media
Pam raised an eyebrow at the fact that Barbara was so tongue-tied. She had always thought of the other woman as very well put together. When she finally got her words out, Pamela let her mouth fall open for a moment in lieu of an answer. She promptly closed her mouth and gave Babs a reassuring smile. “I’m sure that Harley would love to be your therapist. She would be honoured that you thought of her, I’m sure.” She said. Pamela took a few ice cubes out of the portable ice maker that Harley had insisted on getting---though Pam hadn’t fought her very hard on that online purchase because it did seem to be useful---and placed them in Barbara’s drink. “Well, any mistreatment of plants, for one. Also violence. Blood. Anger.” She sighed. “Thinking about certain clownish individuals.”

Thorn rolled her eyes and sighed. “Like he was such a prize,” she said, and then paused. “Not that any man is a prize, but you know what I mean.” She pouted a little at the insinuation that she needed help, folding her arms over her chest. “I can take care of the parks myself,” she said. “Hazel doesn’t even, like, get it. She had me help her with a guy that she accidentally hurt the other day. Like it even matters!”
Tumblr media
“You’re completely right. Men aren’t worthy of your time, my dear.” She said, nodding. When Thorn said that she could handle the parks, Pamela laughed. “I know you can.” She found it funny how independent Thorn was. She shrugged when she brought up how Hazel was. “All three of you girls are different, you know. You shouldn’t expect Hazel to think like you do.” Pamela said softly. “Hopefully someday soon we can claim all of the green in Gotham and preserve it.”

of-crimson:
Lilith watched as the teenager disappeared beneath the earth. So much for snapping a picture to confirm the kill. Fantastic. “Belongs to the Green? If I’m not mistaken, this land could belong to anyone who takes it.” She didn’t mean for what she was saying to sound like a threat, but she didn’t particularly care that it did. Lilith was full of anger and hurt, so if someone wanted to fight, she wasn’t going to turn them down. Pulling a tissue out of her pocket, she wiped at some of the blood on her neck. “Well, that’s so terrifying and all,” she said, tone dripping with sarcasm. “But you’ll have a hard time killing me, darling.” She’d heard stories about Poison Ivy – about how bloodthirsty she was lately. It was… interesting.
Tumblr media
“The entire planet belongs to the Green. The planet is the Green. Humans have no claim over this land. And I intend to keep it that way.” Ivy spat. She hated these humans and their disgusting greed. And their arrogance. Ivy had half a mind to kill this woman, but she held back because she had a feeling that the brunette was more trouble than she was worth. Nevertheless, she didn’t appreciate the sarcasm. When she said that Ivy would have a hard time killing her, it made her want to try, but she held back. “Who are you?” She inquired.

abracazachra:
Zach looked around as he watched the redheaded woman stalk toward the group of teenage boys – murmuring a spell under his breath, he built up the bricks in the path until they were about knee-height, between her and the teenagers. It was more of a distraction than anything else. It was enough to draw the attention of the group away from each other, and they skittered off, startled and confused. “Oh, did you want to talk to them?” he said, pointing toward the retreating figures as the bricks shifted back into place. “Sorry about that.”
Tumblr media
Ivy paused at the magical bricks and then cackled, looking back at the magician responsible. “That was adorable.” She laughed, quickly willing a vine to wrap around the young man’s legs to keep him in place while she made sure that the teens had really gotten away. When she saw no sign of them, she hissed out a sigh. She came back to the man and made the vines wrap all the way around his chest, holding him there tightly. She got close to his face and whispered. “I suppose I’ll just play with you, then.”

hauntedknight:
The vigilante moved through the rooftops, utilizing the shadows of the city to cover his movements, stopping once his destination came into view. He’d spent a whole night reading over the document files on the batcomputer, familiarizing himself with all the changes Gotham had gone through during his absence. One of the first things that caught his attention was the formation of claimed territories, not surprised at all that it happened but certainly concerned about the limitations and challenges it would cause them. Taking such power away from the criminals and giving access to the whole city back to the citizens was one of the problems Batman decided to prioritize, how the Fellowship would approach each area depending on who was in charge of the area.
For Robison Park, the vigilante knew force couldn’t be the first option. Though they had never been in the best of terms, Batman knew Doctor Pamela Isley had the ability to be reasonable. If he could convince her the plants of Gotham would be safer on the Fellowship’s side, it was possible the botanist would consider his offer.
When the vigilante arrived however, the person he found was not the person he remembered. Noticing where her focus was, Batman threw a batarang in the direction of the teenagers, hitting one of the light posts near them to scare them off. The vigilante emerged from the shadows as the redhead turned her attention to his direction, inspecting her closely as she spoke. “Thought we were past this,” he said, his voice masked by the modulator of his cowl. “Wanted to pass by and catch up.” He took a tentative step forward. “Since when is preying on children part of your M.O.?”
Tumblr media
When the teens scurried off, Ivy whipped around to see the last person that she had expected to see. “I will never be past the defiling of the Green, Batman.” She hissed. When he brought up preying on children, she shrugged. “All human beings are the same under the eyes of the Green. Besides, this way they will learn early not to disrespect the planet that nourishes them.” She said. She knew that the Bat would not allow her to continue on her path without some lame speech on why she should stop killing humans, so she waited for him to speak again as she slowly willed the roots beneath him, readying them for action. Ivy coked her head to the side, suddenly curious. “And where have you been, Batman, while your city crumbles? That’s not really your M.O. either.”

Barbara bit her lip as she came out of her reverie, a slight frown marring her features. “I…” She trailed off, giving a little shake of her head as a brief if not remarkably genuine laugh. “I’m alright,” she said. A little smile touched her lips. “Water would be lovely, thank you,” she said. “But how are you doing with everything?” She knew it was difficult for her friend to have to deal with Ivy so strongly.
Tumblr media
Pamela knew that she wasn’t alright, but she dropped it for Barbara’s sake. She knew Babs better now that they had taken the effort to be friends over the last year. Pam picked up the decanter on the table in the sitting room and poured the other redhead a glass. “Ice?” She asked, pausing before she handed the glass to her. “I’m... alright.” She lied. “I think she might be settling down... as long as nothing sets her off, I think I could put her in a box. Mentally, I mean.”

@poisoned-kisses – from here
Thorn smiled, basking in the approval she felt coming from her mother. “He tried to grab my ass,” she said, rolling her eyes at the recollection. “And then when I grabbed his wrist and told him to get the fuck away from me, he called me a bitch and said I should be grateful.” She sighed, as if put out. “So of course I had to take care of him.” She shook her head. “Not yet,” she said. “I’ve been looking at Sheldon Park. I think the city owns it, but like…” She waved her hand. “That doesn’t mean anything, does it? Do we even still have a mayor?”
Tumblr media
Pamela let out a sigh. Would men never learn to keep their hands to themselves? “Grateful? What an absolute idiot.” She said. When Thorn said that she took care of him, Pam smirked. “Good.” was all that she said before she decided it was time to move on to the family business. “This city owns nothing. It’s ours now. I know that you’re capable of taking and maintaining the park on your own, but you could always ask Hazel to help you out. It might get her more interested in the business, too.”

Pam said that she’d experimented on herself for her and the twins, and Harley scowled at her. “Me an’ the twins were happy with ya the way ya were, Pam. You were the perfect wife an’ mom.” Her fists clenched and unclenched at her sides, and she refused to make eye contact. She loved her wife so, so much. But… things had been so strange since she’d gotten stronger. “I understand why ya did it, an’ I know that it was partly my fault.” Harley took a step forward, taking the redhead’s hands in her own, but still not allowing their eyes to meet. “I love you, an’ I’ll stick by ya no matter what, like you’ve stuck by me. But Ivy has ta calm down, baby. She scares me. The killin’… I love a good murder as much as the next clown, but she has no line anymore. Everyone is fair game.”
Tumblr media
“No one’s perfect,” Pamela mumbled---which was something that she almost never did. She was worried that Harley was really angry with her for this and she wasn’t sure what she would do if she lost her wife. She had done this to protect her wife. When Harley said that is had been her fault, Pam looked up and opened her mouth to say something, but then closed it again when she found that she had no words. She squeezed the blonde’s hands as her heart did a backflip. The relief on her face was clear when Harley said that she would stand by her. “I’m sorry, darling.” She said, her voice soft. “I am already working on a new serum that will reverse these side effects, I promise.” Pamela lied. The truth was, she liked the power and she liked how Gotham was finally scared of her again. She wasn’t just some settled down wife and mom anymore. But she would find a way to gain control over Ivy again. “I know. She scares me too. But I know that she has a line. She’ll have to kill me before she lays a hand on you or the kids.” That was half-true. She was sure that Ivy wouldn’t touch the kids because they were connected to the Green. She just had to make sure that Ivy loved Harley as much as she did.
