Woohoo! I’ve managed to get my Wayward Queen webcomic back up! I broke the whole site back in August and lost all my posts, finally figured out how to restore everything.

The site looks like a total mess and I’m missing some links and interface, but all the pages are back up in a readable format, and that’s the important part! Thumbnails are wonky and the design is “basic default,” but I’m working on that.

I have sat through WAY too many lectures and classes with instructors harping on about this particular Hollywood Three Act Hero's Journey Formula, and at this point I feel like I'd rather tell any story BUT that.

I was in one workshop where an instructor insisted that this particular Hollywood three-act formula was the ONLY story structure that has ever existed in the whole world. When the class bombarded them with examples of myriad stories that do NOT fit this formula, the instructor got defensive, started simplifying their definition of "three act structure," and by the end of the class was reduced to saying that what they really MEANT by “three act structure” was that all stories have a beginning, middle, and end.

Which is not exactly something one needs to learn from an expert. Most people figure that out in kindergarten.

"But the main character needs to be CHANGED at the end!!" "Yo, have you never read a murder mystery..."

Honor student Jonas Wagner and school bully Mitch Mueller have to work on a class science project together when they discover a mysterious building behind a fence in the woods. They develop strange new powers after trespassing and are forced to face their childhood trauma and abusive parents while being followed by unknown pursuers. Together, they slowly grow closer until they realize they like each other a lot more than just friends.
