Stenbrough concept:
Stanley brings home a pigeon that happened to be on the side of the road and doesn't tell Bill.
So like one night, Bills in the shower and the pigeon just casually slips in the shower with him.
All Stanley can hear in the distance is a high pitch scream and a weak "STANNNNNNN!"
Of course Stanley gets up from his chair--closing his favourite book and wonders over to the bathroom, which to where he sees Bill in the corner with a shower cap on--along with his arm outstretched holding on for dear life a backscrubber with a terrified, confused expression and the pigeon titling his head, cooing up at him.
Stanley stands there, fiddling with his fingers with a shy grin on his features, looking at them both and he goes " so, this is our son--Benjamin."

I’ve not posted on this account in forever, but I just saw an edit of this scene:
Tumblr media
and half the comments were people saying Richie only loved Eddie like a brother… After three years, are we still having this debate in the fandom??

remember how when eddie kaspbrak was dying he could feel everything negative leave his body & it left him with only a clarity that shed a dawning light onto himself. & then he looks at richie and he finally makes peace with himself because suddenly everything had become so clear.. and this realization made the actual act of dying not feel so bad.. and immediately upon this realization he NEEDED to hold onto life because there was Something He Had To Say First.. to richie. who is already on his knees crying over eddie. and eddie says his name & raises his hand to touch richies cheek while telling him not to call him eds because "you know i..." and while eddie is thinking over how to finish the sentence, he dies. and then they all have to abandon eddie's body in the sewer and richie yells & kicks the door and when he's asked why he did that he says he doesn't know, but his internal monologue says "but he knew well enough." this is my villain origin story. if i ever see stephen king it's on sight

I’m flipping out because I’ve just found out that this post I made in 2019 became one of those chats that people adapted to different fandoms and it’s been used for some of my favourite ships like Wolfstar and I didn’t even know I had started a trend until now, but it makes me so happy
Richie: Why does the whole school think I’m gay?
Eddie, sitting in his lap while Richie runs his fingers through his hair: It’s probably those shirts you wear
The Losers, watching: ...
Stan: Yeah, that’s probably it. Your shirts...

Reddie - The Realisation
Eddie realised he was gay before Richie did
Because, well, Richie was an idiot
Eddie was about 11 when he fully realised he liked boys the way he was “supposed” to like girls
He didn’t immediately fall for Richie, though, it was gradual
It started off with little things like catching himself smiling at Richie across the classroom
Then he found himself arguing with Richie on purpose so that Richie would throw his arms around Eddie to “annoy” him
When the group hung out, he’d hope the others would leave so he could spend time alone with him - just a few minutes
It had started as a small crush, but it slowly turned into love over some time
Richie was different.
Okay, so maybe he’d kind of known already, but not really known
It wasn’t until he was a teenager that he figured it out
Beverly was lying there in her underwear
The guys were all drooling over her and he just thought:
“meh”
And his realisation about his feelings for Eddie came a little later
After they “defeated” Pennywise and Eddie came to Richie’s house to shower
They had sat and held each other for what felt like forever in the sweetest way
He fell in love with Eddie, not gradually like Eddie had him, but instantly and all at once
Love hit Richie like a ton of bricks
Love came over Eddie like a light mist
But Eddie never told Richie and Richie never told Eddie
And now they never could

The Losers’ Parents
Movie vs. Book
In the movie, Beverly’s mother has died and it is implied that she killed herself because she was “sick”. Her father wrongfully blames Beverly for this and takes out his grief on her physically and (strongly implied) sexually
In the books, Beverly’s mother is alive. She’s aware that Beverly’s father is abusive but does nothing about it as long as it’s not sexual (she asks Beverly if he had ever touched her at which Beverly was confused)
Movie!Bill’s parents are distraught become socially reclusive towards him following Georgie’s death, but eventually (in a deleted scene) they decide it’s time to appreciate Bill and make new memories
Bill’s parents in the book appear a lot more than they do in the films. Zack is an electrician and Sharon is a talented Julliard-graduate pianist. They shut Bill out like in the film, but there is no happy ending
Sonia is the most accurate in the movie to her book counterpart. Eddie’s mother has MSbP (this is a “condition where a caregiver creates the appearance of health problems in another person, typically their child”) and is a hypochondriac
Eddie’s father in the book is said to have died of cancer when Eddie was five and Eddie suffered from pneumonia shortly after - it is hypothesised that this triggered his mother’s hypochondria. Like the movie, she makes up illnesses for Eddie and uses them to control him. Additionally, she is homophobic as shown by her attitude regarding the gay couple that lives in town - this makes Eddie uncomfortable
Mike’s parents aren’t shown in the 2017 film as they were burnt alive in the house of Harris Avenue. Instead, he lives with his grandfather on his farm - we don’t see him for long, but he definitely doesn’t give the impression of being a kind and caring guardian
In the book, Mike’s parents are alive and he is especially close with his father, Will, who is arguably the most caring parent in the book (or any Stephen King novel). He is to Henry Bowers’ father what Mike is to Henry; their children mirror them. Sadly, Mike’s father dies when he is 16 and his mother changes his birth certificate so that it says he is older in order to sign on so that he can help to provide for the family
Ben’s parents are not shown in the films
Honestly, my memory isn’t so great, but from what I remember, Ben’s father is dead and Ben lives with his mother and aunt
Richie’s parents also aren’t shown, but they’re often perceived in fanwork as neglectful/abusive towards Richie
In the novel, on the other hand, Richie’s parents are actually some of the nicest in Derry, but they find him difficult to understand. Though they love Richie, they don’t know how to connect to him and his mother sometimes wishes she had a daughter. Richie’s dad thinks he is silly, but he encouraged his interest in doing voices and even uses Richie’s phrases himself
Stan’s dad in It 2017 is a Rabbi and is very firm with Stan about his religious studies
In the novel, Stan’s parents are in a very loving relationship and have been married since their early 20s. His father is attentive and worried about what Stan will do in the future but, according to Patty, Stan’s parents were never cruel

If Stan had come to Jade of the Orient
“Stan, clearly something is wrong, stop that bath running and tell me about it”
Patricia comes along - she begged to
Stan was worried about her coming to Derry, but she wanted to be there for him, so she packed her bags, anyway
When they get there, there’s a second pf awkwardness - Stan’s not exactly a social butterfly and it has been decades since he saw them
Lucky for him, Patty is a people-person and introduces herself
“Woah, Stan, you married a hugger? Opposites do attract!” “Yeah, they do - so you must be married to Victoria’s Secret model, right, Richie?”
And just like that - as if a switch got turned on in his mind - he felt like no time has passed
Why had he felt so awkward? He knews these guys! The Losers! Richie, Ben, Beverly, Mike, Eddie and Bill-
Bill!
His face went red as he remembered his first kiss - Oh, shit, did Bill remember to? How embarrassing
Patty knew he was bisexual, but he wasn’t sure she’d love to know she was sitting next to someone he had once or many times kissed as a teenager
He was relieved to find that his feelings for Bill didn’t reignite (though he did check him out once) and he was still madly in love with Patty
Ben asked Stan about work and vice versa
“I’ve actually been looking for an accountant, would you be interested?” “Really? You’ve only known I was an accountant for five minutes!” “But I’ve known you for 30 years - come work with me!” “I’ll have to talk with Patty first on such a big decision, but I think I will!”
Everyone cheers their drinks to Stan’s new job
“So, Stan, Patty, any rugrats?” asks Richie. “I can’t wait to see Stan the Man Jr. with his toy calculator”
Patty holds Stan’s hand. “Actually, we can’t have children and, well, adoption and surrogacy is so expensive”
Everyone group hugs
No one really knew Richie was gay (for sure) except Stan who had accidentally found a picture of Eddie under Richie’s pillow when they were 13 (fully-clothed, get your mind out the gutter) but he never told anyone, not even Richie, because he thought he’d come out when he was ready
But when they meet up again after TWENTY-FUCKING-SEVEN years, Stan quickly realises that Richie never came out and he feels guilty for not trying to talk to him about it as kids
“Patty, he’s lived his entire life alone, lying to everyone he knows, and I could have helped, but I was a stupid kid!” he says to his wife later that night
Eddie says he’s married, but Stan notices how he seems geared towards Richie and thinks maybe he should have tried talking to him, too
Maybe I’m imagining it, Eddie’s not— “Let’s take our shirts off and kiss!” Nope, definitely gay
When Bev avoids questions about Tom, Patty subtly points out the belt marks on her arm
Afterwards, he pulls Beverly to the side
“I know this is weird and probably not-my-place because it’s been 27 years, but it feels like I just saw you yesterday, Beverly, so if this Tom guy ever...” his voice trails as he gestures to her arm. “You can always stay with us, okay? I know you probably live in a mansion now so my house will probably seem like shit, but it’s there if you-”
Beverly hugs him. “I missed you, Stan”
He also talks to Mike.
“I’ve got to thank you, Mike.” “What for?” “You stayed so we didn’t have to. Don’t think I didn’t notice or appreciate it because I do. Patty is amazing. I love her more than anything in the world. You know how neurotic I am, right? Not only does she ‘put up with’ it, she likes it about me and she gets me to have fun. But I only got the chance to meet her because you stayed. You gave me the chance, Mike. Thank you”

Georgie Denbrough as an Adult
Georgie became a pilot
He travelled around the world
When he was in his early 20s, he met the love of his life in Spain
They eloped spontaneously within a few months
His parents were naturally not very happy about this sudden jump in the relationship, but they eventually come around to it when they see how happy he is
Bill’s very a little upset he missed his baby brother’s wedding, but he’s thrilled for them and even dedicates one of his books to them
To my baby brother, Georgie, and his lovely wife, Elena - I wish you the happiest life together
“Maybe I’ll forgive you for eloping without me if you name your first kid after me!” jokes Bill
But Georgie actually does name his son “William” after his big brother but they call him “Will” for short instead of “Bill”
Yes, Bill does cry
A lot
Georgie doesn’t die young tragically.
He lives a long, fulfilled life and dies peacefully in his sleep. Happy.

Richie, seriously: Yeah...
Bill, eagerly: Really? Wuh-what happened?
Richie: I’ve had a strange tingling sensation in my anus.
