Pulling a Fantasy marbled paper from the marbling size surface. The Fantasy pattern requires a very low viscosity size so its organic aqueous appearance can be achieved. The paint is applied to the size surface and moved around with a thick wooden stylus until the desired effect is formed. The paper then, previously treated with a solution of Aluminum Sulfate, is carefully laid down to the marbling surface. The liquid paint that floats in the size surface, when in contact with the paper, chemically reacts with the Aluminum Sulfate, instantly jellifies and binds to the paper surface. After the paper is rinsed to eliminate any size remain and set aside to dry.
