those posts criticizing common writing patterns in fanfiction are so fucking harmful and they ruined me

so like yknow what??? People tell you to avoid “smirk” and “chuckle” as descriptors because no one does those things (???) but then when I need to use those words I have a ten minute crisis about how I’m a shitty writer. So heres my unwarranted writing advice: If you want your characters to smirk and chuckle fucking let them and don’t let anyone tell you that no one smirks or chuckles because I do both on a daily basis whenever I tell a shitty pun, bye

Blackwidow and Hawkeye

I will always be annoyed that MCU did not explore the very non platonic love that Hawkeye has for Blackwidow.

Laura is great and all but why did they have to make Hawkeye a dad of three? MCU Civil war made no sense that way. I guess they just wanted to throw Nat and Bruce together. Bobbi Morse had an amazing comic arc and was sidelined. If you don't know who Mockingbird was and what happened to her in the comics you're missing out on her arc. There's a whole go back in time and refuse to save a guy who raped her storyline. Mockingbird and Hawkeye were married, divorced, back together, broke up, back together again and then just recently slept together. It was always a I love you but I can't be with you relationship.

Did they even read the comics?

Anyway, he wanted to fuck Natasha the minute he met her.

Comics Hawkeye is way more of a himbo than anyone else.

I didn't get the skycycle thing in Avengers 1 until much later but I still think it's hilarious that he got on one.
