Chapters: 1/24 Fandom: Good Omens - Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett, Good Omens (TV) Rating: Mature Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings Relationships: Aziraphale/Crowley (Good Omens) Characters: Aziraphale (Good Omens), Crowley (Good Omens), Warlock Dowling, Hastur (Good Omens), Ligur (Good Omens), Beelzebub (Good Omens), Gabriel (Good Omens), Michael (Good Omens), Anathema Device Additional Tags: webcomic, Fanart, Bad Drawings, but with all my heart, Adaptation, Alternate Universe - Royalty, Femme Aziraphale (Good Omens), Angst, Crowley is So Done (Good Omens), it's the fic but in drawings Summary:
The palace has gathered the young women of noble families to find the emperor a suitable empress, queens and perhaps a few concubines as well. Aziraphale, the youngest daughter of Count Herald at the age of 19, is amongst these women, having just been introduced in high society a year prior. She's told by her father to keep her head down and do her best to bring honour to her house, alongside the wealth her family is paid for sending her as a tribute. Her brother, Gabriel, gives her a farewell gift and makes her promise to do her best to take of herself.
Aziraphale has no illusions of what will happen to her. She is a counts daughter, and not even beautiful in the way noblewomen are supposed to be. Opinionated, shy, with too plump a body and cheeks, alongside a head of unruly curls, she expects to be introduced then forgotten quite easily.
Things do NOT go according to plan
The Story is not mine, but I got the permission to adapt it into a comic

Fanfic Friday 27 in 2022
I'm on time this week!
Today I'm giving you a real fluffy gem that's my favourite coffee shop AU and keeps on popping up in my thoughts every now and then a good couple of years later. (This is really making me want to do a re-read)
Soft comforts is a G rated series by @servantofmischief that's as soft as it sounds. It starts out with Aziraphale needing a wee break from work so goes across the road to his local coffee shop to relax and maybe draw. Then a gorgeous red head walks in that he just HAS to draw, and maybe fall for.

I'm very happy you enjoyed it so much!
Fanfic Friday 17
I've been reading a wonderful Regency fic that I posted about earlier in the week and don't quite want to leave that world yet, so here's a fantastic Regency fic
His Affections Be Her Salvation by @servantofmischief is the first fic in a wonderful human AU series that follows Aziraphale and Crowley's life.
Aziraphale has been sent to her cousin Gabriel by her awful father so he can find her a "suitable" husband, but she and Gabriel have other ideas (who wants a boring, self centred, only wants a trophy wife/ advantageous marriage husband.?)
But that all changes when she meets her cousin's friend Crowley..........
This is M rated and doesn't have anything too nasty but you might want to read through a the tags just in case 😊

We’re All Disasters But That’s Okay, Innit - 11
“Uncle AJ! What took you so long?” And then Adam’s there too, along with Babylon and Bada and the very much overfilled shopping cart. Apparently they’re already done, and the two men excuse themselves from the conversation. Babylon’s tone with Anathema is chillingly polite, but at the very least she’s not outright aggressive. That is more than Crowley could have hoped for when she had stormed into his flat one day, asking what the hell the ‘bloody american’ had done to him that warranted the other woman apologize to Babylon. The American accepts it with great humility.

We’re All Disasters But That’s Okay, Innit - 10
He’s an adult, and perfectly capable of taking care of himself and make his own decisions. What worries him is the anger he had felt boil his blood when Crowley, so miserable and vulnerable and self-sacrificing, told him what Anathema had insinuated. She doesn’t know much about Crowley, so she shouldn’t go around assuming. But at the same time, she couldn’t have known that Crowley would react the way he did. She couldn’t have known that her words would send him into a spiral of self-doubt and thinking he’s not worth that companionship he had within his grasp.
But that is no excuse for what she has done.

We’re All Disasters But That’s Okay, Innit - 8
“Going back and forth like you are, cancelling dates for no good reason and then suddenly coming back to it like you believe he’s waiting at your every beck and call. He deserves better.” And that’s something that strikes a chord in Crowley’s chest. Aziraphale deserves better. And Crowley agrees. Aziraphale is amazing, kind, loving, warm, charming and like the bloody sun. He is everything Crowley could ever want, anything Crowley could ever need and hope and wish for. He deserves everything he can have, and more than that, even. He deserves the best.
Better than broken, anxiety riddled Crowley.

We’re All Disasters But That’s Okay, Innit - 9
“May I come in?” Crowley hesitates for a moment before bracing himself and stepping aside. Once the door is closed, Aziraphale moves towards Crowley, and feels the harsh sting of rejection when Crowley shrinks away. The redhead likes touch more than words, so to be denied giving that comforting touch when he so visibly needs it is painful.
“Crowley, darling, what’s wrong?” There’s a long silence before Crowley speaks in a very quiet voice.
“We should stop seeing each other.” Aziraphale feels like he’s been punched in the gut

We’re All Disasters But That’s Okay, Innit - 7
“And I pushed you, and I triggered you.” The blonde says, causing Crowley to shrug.
“You didn’t know. Very few do… it’s not exactly a conversation opener.” Aziraphale nods. He can understand that. But he’s also so glad Crowley felt like he could tell him, he feels honoured to be given this much trust.
“I’m very sorry our evening ended so badly. I enjoyed myself.” He admits.
“I did too.” Crowley says, chancing a glance at Aziraphale, finally, and this time keeping up the eye-contact. “We could… We could give it another go, if you want that?” And he looks so hopeful, so endearing, that Aziraphale cannot do much else than say yes. Not that he’d ever want to refuse.
“I’d very much want that.” He says quietly and Crowley gives a small smile, vulnerable in its way of showing how relieved he is. Probably as relieved as Aziraphale feels right now.

We’re All Disasters But That’s Okay, Innit - 6
“Everything alright here?” Both women look up to see the man who had helped Babylon on her first day back. Him coming over is a stroke of luck, Babylon thinks, as she has been very close to losing her temper completely and give this nosy American something to really worry about. It’s a way out of this conversation with an entitled stranger who made Babylon’s day go from pleasant to shitty.
“Hi, yeah, sorry I’m late.” Babylon says as she grabs his hand and begins pulling him along after giving Anathema one last withering glare, as if daring her to try and stop them from leaving. The nerve of some people.
“I just got here myself?” The man says as he lets himself be dragged along. Once they round a corner and can no longer be seen, Babylon drops his hand quickly, putting some distance between them.
“I’m sorry.” She says, running a hand across her face in frustration, wanting to scream, but also not wanting to cause a scene, or in any way give the other woman an incentive to come check on them.
“Not quite sure what you’re apologizing for here.” The man says, adjusting the strap of his bag over his shoulder. She gestures to the space between them.
“Using you as an excuse, when I don’t even know you. Don’t even know your name.” She mumbles, embarrassed as that fact catches up to her.

The redhead takes a sip of his beverage before removing his sunglasses. Aziraphale doesn’t even notice that he has grabbed his sketchbook before he finds himself dragging his pencil across the surface of the paper, but he already wishes he had brought with him colours, and not just a charcoal pencil, because the colour of the man’s eyes is spectacular. He’s never seen that kind of yellow before, but they’re breath-taking.
And so sad.

Lucid Dream, chp 17 & 18
It’s so hot. It’s too hot, the air dry, the sunlight just shy of too bright. It’s too hot to concentrate, Rosie thinks from her perch on her chair, right knee pressing with enough force against the desk to make the chair balance on its hind legs. She’s probably tempting fate too much, she thinks as she drops her leg and the chair falls forward with a loud ‘thump’ sound. She groans as she drops forward, arms as cushions beneath her head as she stares out the window. Like this, the bright sky reminds her of a desert’s sky. Far, far too bright, she thinks again as she closes her eyes.
She’s at the mall with her grandmother, mother and sister. They agree to split up, because Rosie and her grandmother has an agenda the other two are unaware of. It won’t be much of a surprise if they figure it out, so Rosie and her grandmother move to the right and her mother and sister goes left. It’s all going according to plan, her grandmother just has to go exchange some money first. So Rosie waits, sitting on a rounded bench. The light is so bright, but the mall is located in a desert after all. It’s to be expected, she thinks as she watches the shadows stretch around them. At least the mall isn’t so hot. She leans back to people-watch as she waits, before looking down at her feet again. Even the floor is made of glass, and that is a bit weird. Then a huge shadow falls over her, and people stop moving around her. Rosie jumps to her feet and turns around, freezing in place. There’s water, lots of water, a giant wave rising above the glass mall.
‘That makes no sense.’ Rosie thinks. They’re in the desert, how can there be such a giant wave? Time starts up again, people begin to stumble back and run, to get away, though there is nowhere to go. Rosie slowly turns her body away, but she can’t seem to look away from the threat.
‘It’s not possible.’ She thinks again, as the water completely encompasses the dome, the glass creaking loudly from the pressure.
“We’re in the desert.” She whimpers. The glass gives, water floods in, and the force of it knocks her out. When she comes to, she’s cold and it’s dark. She’s drifting on a piece of wood, and she’s all alone.
“Grandma?” She calls out, her voice echoing in the dark. “Where are you?” There is no answer and she clings a bit tighter to the driftwood.
“Is there anybody here?” She whimpers. She’s out there alone for a long time before she lets go of the plank.
“This has to be a dream.” She mumbles as she sinks into the water.
It has to be.
When Rosie next becomes aware of anything, the first thing she notices is that it is cold. She hears something, not quite sure what, and she forces her eyes open, only to shoot up on her- her balance fails her and she slams a hand down on a stair steps as she gapes at her surroundings. She is in the ruins of a house, underwater. Schools of fish swim around her and when she turns quickly to follow, she gets lots of hair in her face. Rosie moves it away, notices that her hair is longer than it was moments ago, and-
“I have a tail.” She marvels, her finger tracing the scales.
This must be a dream, she thinks. But it might be a good one. Suddenly the fish that had been swimming lazily around darts away and she turns, freezing at the sight of a huge shark. Rosie likes sharks, she has a dream of one day diving with sharks. Somehow, this was not how she imagined it to be.
This… This can be dangerous.
The shark swims towards her slowly, and Rosie sits completely still as it comes upon her and-
Floats past her. She blinks, some of the anxiety leaving her as she reaches out to lay a hand on its flank. The shark jolts and turns towards her, swimming forward to bump her shoulders with its snout.
“Hey you.” She giggles. She needn’t have worried over anything. This shark is very friendly as it swims around her to keep moving. Even the fish who have dared come back think so as they circle the large predator in some sort of dance. The shark swims around her a few more times before it nudges her and turns towards the stairs. It does not look back at her before it begins its ascension.
“Wait!” Rosie calls out and follows. The shark is quick, she worries that she’ll lose sight of him, but her own tail is strong, and she cuts cleanly through the water as she follows. The further the up they go, the clearer and brighter the water grows, as if they’re nearing the surface, and maybe they are. Rosie hadn’t been able to properly orient herself down in the dark, but she can now. The staircase they’re following seems endless, the only change is that it grows thinner and frailer, but suddenly as she can see the end of the staircase, the shark veers to the side and Rosie sees the surface.
And a boat.
Even if the shark has begun to circle the area, along with others, Rosie swims closer. A boat means a person, a boat means she isn’t alone, the boat can mean she’ll find a friend. She sees a hand hanging out of the side of the boat, fingertips barely disturbing the water and she grabs hold of it. The owner jerks to life, and sits up in the boat, and Rosie can’t help but beam.
“Rosie?!” It’s a near gasp, breathless and wondrous.
“I knew I’d find you somewhere.” Rosie tells Raven, and tugs on him with enough gentle force that he follows her into the water. The dream had been scary, it had been lonely and frightening, but it’s going to end on a happy note, Rosie thinks as they both dance with the sharks.

So I tried to write how I read the 17th and 18th chapters of @pinkpiggy93 comic Lucid Dreams. If you haven’t read it, I sincerely recommend that you check it out. It is absolutely breathtaking and amazing, both the art and the story itself.
