Just found out something awful that happened to one of my best friends from childhood and i can't stop sobbing. Shes the sweetest person and i wish i could help her somehow. She called me crying and told me her moms bf assaulted her last month and now shes worried because shes late and been feeling sick.

what are the side effects of the vaccine?
Just a big note that this has just been my personal experience, and I am sure everyone’s experience is different ! I’m also going to put this under a cut and try to throw as much out as I can because I know I tried looking into other people’s experiences before I called to make my appointment.
After the first shot:
I was pretty sore all over and not just my arm for a good 3+ days. Like, my whole body felt like I was kicked down three flights of stairs ( not an exageration tbh ).
I also had an absolutely terrible on-and-off migraine for a good week.
Sidenote: I am prone to migraines and do have to take medication for it daily, so that probably didn’t help and probably made it far worse than it would have been, I’m assuming.
I had a lot of trouble focusing for extended periods of time? More than usual? And it wasn’t real obvious that I was having trouble. Like, I would zone out and then it would hit me that I wasn’t even actually focused on what I was trying to do. Made working the next day incredibly difficult.
After the second shot:
Whole body aches. Change ‘flights of stairs’ to - “I felt like I was hit by a bus, then hit by a train, and then thrown off of a mountain”, at least, that’s how I described it to my co-worker. Sitting, standing, everything just... hurt. And at the same time, I felt incredibly heavy? Like, just moving, in general, was a chore. And that lasted a good... 3 or 4 days. I’m still kind of ache-y still, but definitely nothing compared to how it was the day after the shot.
On-and-off migraine. Though, surprisingly, it wasn’t as bad as the first. Even though the nurse as the clinic warned us that the second one was the one that could possibly give me the bad migraine (go figure?). It’s possible I was just more mentally prepared to feel like my head was exploding.
I was incredibly nauseous (still kind of am). Constantly felt on the verge of vomitting kind of nauseous (but never actually did).
Mixed with the nausea, I had an awful stomach ache for two - three days. Imagine cramps but, probably doubled. And they kind of sparked - I’d be fine for hours then all of a sudden, it felt like someone was kicking me for an hour.
Focusing was an issue this time as well, but I slept most of the time and didn’t try to focus on anything much and took a day off/my co-worker managed to pick up the ‘heavy focus’ things the other day to help me out. So I’m not entirely sure if it was as bad as the first one or better, can’t measure.
I had temp that hit up to 100.3 - though I didn’t take my temp when I felt my absolute worst, I didn’t think about it. Though it never went over that for me.
My mother’s temp also hit 100-something at one point.
Current state:
I’m still on-and-off nauseous but I can actually eat solid food now and it’s not as bad.
I’m not in as much pain, more just ache-y.
No migraine, just a slight headache, but that’s probably from a lot of factors.
Other notes:
My mother and I got our vaccines at the same time and she had just about all the same side effects the second time around (nothing but a sore arm the first time). Only difference is, she started to feel better about a day or so sooner and didn’t feel side effects until a few hours after I did.

Work and classes have just been kicking my ass tbh. And I got the second shot for the vaccine a few days ago due to my job and the side effects for me are still absolutely ruining me right now.
