the 100 having both the most atrocious case of bury your gays trope in tv history and the biggest case of straightbaiting in tv history is so funny like they really said no-one is gonna win this you're all gonna lose

Why I believe it would’ve made more sense for Bellarke to happen in the S3 finale
Ok so obvious personal agenda aside (i’m bellarke trash) I think narratively it would have made sense for Bellarke to happen in the S3 finale. The only point I can really think of against it is that Lexa obviously died quite recently and I don’t want to discredit Clarke’s relationship with Lexa. Also I don’t want to invalidate deep friendships people have with each other either. For myself, my friends are my family and I value them over pretty much everyone else in the world so I get that an emotional connection isn’t inherently romantic, and that we should normalise male/female friendships in the media rather than constantly pushing for romance. With Bellarke though, I don’t read their relationship and purely platonic and other characters with in the show, the cast, writers, and even JRoth himself (in the early days) have acknowledged this.
However... moving into my analysis... a draft script of the finale it literally had Bellamy and Clarke get together so it’s not that far from the realm of possibility. S3 was probably the hardest season for Bellamy and Clarke’s relationship, nearly the entire time they’re on opposite sides of a major conflict while both dealing with major conflict in their personal lives. Most of these are resolved or have some kind of closure by the finale and it would have been the perfect way to properly reunite them, and establish a romantic relationship after the amount of personal growth they went through that season.
I think them being in a romantic relationship would build upon the depth of their friendship and loyalty to each other, which would play well in S4. One of the main conflicts of S4 is who will get to survive the second apocalypse. And Bellamy and Clarke are constantly being challenged on whether or not they’re biased towards protecting each other (by Skaikru) and and their people (by the Grounders/Octavia/Roan). I feel this would’ve of heightened those suspicions towards them as well as their own questioning of their priorities and dealing with each others self-sacrificial bullshit. Also Bellamy have to leave Clarke behind (presuming that she died but not giving up hope for years) is so much more heartbreaking when you consider it in the context of them finally finding peace with each other after what feels like a lifetime of war.
Ok so I am a hoe for drama I’ll admit that but Bellarke in S5 would have been so messy and I love it. Bellamy thinking Clarke’s dead and finally moving on with Echo. Clarke never giving up on Bellamy and adopting them another child. Bellamy coming down to the ground in a relationship with Echo (which we’d hopefully get to see some better development of because this is my magic what if the 100 was good and Echo deserves better) and then finding out Clarke’s alive and feeling conflicted because he never really stopped loving Clarke but his whole schtick is loyalty. Clarke giving Bellamy permission to be with Echo and be happy because she thinks that no-one could ever truly love her. Octavia still doing the whole blodreina thing but her unfounded hatred of Echo now makes sense because she sees Echo as a symbol of Bellamy rejecting the delinquents and their life on the ground pre-apocalypse and therefore her. Echo understanding what’s going on and wanting better for herself and Bellamy and ending it with her head held high.
And then in S6 it would be about them relearning each other and who they are now, feeling like they could maybe live a normal life in Sanctum. And just as they once again believe they could be safe Clarke gets taken over by Josephine and Bellamy goes apeshit (which he kind of already did but ya know). Personally, I didn’t really like the ‘head’ Bellamy we got in S6 and this could’ve been a good opportunity for he and Clarke to release their rage and anger at the world while battling with Josephine on two fronts (the parallels).
And in S7... I’m sorry what season? I don’t know her.

I made a post about last episode because I was infuriated at the way JRoth treated Bellamy and Bob. And after this episode I am horrified. This man made Eliza act out a scene where she potentially killed her character’s child after she suffered through a miscarriage. This is worse than his pettiness with killing off characters because of personal issues. This is genuinely cruel and I am shocked that someone could be heartless. There were numerous ways he could have changed the script but no. I hope that Eliza and Bob are ok and I have nothing but love and support for them.

Shipping Bellarke is such a weird fucking experience. Like the amount of baiting, and the treatment of it by the shows creators, despite massive support in the fandom is exactly like what happens with lgbtq+ ships. Except their m/f? so getting into it I was like oh it’ll be a wait but probs happen because why wouldn’t they? Like it perfectly fits the narrative of the show and wouldn’t make them lose viewers, if anything it would increase views. so what was this? honestly I don’t acknowledge seasons 6 and 7.

Ok so I haven’t been actively keeping up with the new season of the 100 other than what I’ve seen online. But I just wanted to make a post to discuss how upset I am what has been done to Bellamy. Bellamy was not only always my favourite character and deserves better, but it was a petty decision made by Jason to get back at Bob. I’m so sick of this man killing of characters and destroying this show because of personal issues.
