37/100 days of productivity + TUE 07.12.16 // 1:41 pm
theme of the day: Practice, practice, practice! ▰˘◡˘▰  took a practice test this morning before starting any review, just to sort of gauge where im at! This preliminary score was pretty ok but my goal is to try to improve at least 1 point a day after reviewing every day!
also since I’m done with this note-taking at this point, i did a huge spread of all my notes on the living room floor just to see ‘em all in action… ;)

Hey everyone! Natalie here :) I asked my followers to submit some of their favourite study tips for a masterpost, and here they are! But first, here is my favourite study tip: Break it down! If you use an agenda or a planner, break every task you need to complete down into smaller, more manageable bits, and schedule some for each day. If you prefer to-do lists, make a list for each task with the smaller, broken down sections of the tasks! Completing a few of the smaller pieces is really satisfying, and motivates me to keep working hard!
And without further ado, here are the submitted tips! Happy studying, xx
My number one study tip is to set realistic goals. If I do not do that I do not yield productive results. :) - @go-studyblrr
My number one study tip is to always eat, drink water and go to the bathroom before you study so you won’t be interrupted .I also turn off any electronics I have around and I try to only touch my phone if I need to look something up on google. - @meesfit
create a playlist of songs that can help you focus on your studies. songs shouldnt be distracting, or you wouldnt be able to study as effective as you hoped to. - @proudnerdinsenioryear
Walk around while reciting things you need to memorize and you’ll remember them better. - @spork-of-humanity
A lot depends on your preferred learning style, but I find actually sitting down to study (and not just thinking about it) pretty much works 100% of the time. - @hufflestnerd
Maybe it’s just me, but my tip is that don’t take a break every half an hour unless you need it. Just keep going as long as you can until you feel yourself loosing focus and then take your break. - @bci-need2study
When you’re trying to study for exams, TURN OFF YOUR PHONE HIDE YOUR LAPTOP (unless you need it to study) As someone who has ADHD and has trouble staying focused already, Trust me when I say that you don’t need that distraction - @abstractedthinking
My number one is def find a pandora/Spotify/YouTube playlist of instrumental classical music or just calming music in general, or some ASMR YouTube videos to have playing in the background while you study. It helps me focus so much more than listening to music I would normally listen to does, and it keeps my stress levels down during the process :) - @geometricstars
My number one study tip would be to find a well-lit, organized place that you can find your own to study at. A nice study spot makes all the difference! - @omnesviae
My number one study tip is to have someone quiz you on the material. This works especially well for vocabulary that you need to memorize; however, if it is math, I normally redo some of the problems that I’ve had in past assignments and I’ll be fine! - @stargazedaspirations
Teach someone! Even if you are just babbling it to you brother wearing headphones or the kid you are babysitting,I find that having to explain something actually makes me learn it a lot better. And for subjects like physics and maths, practice questions until you drop. - @zazastudies
“See one, do one, teach one” works well specifically for math, but can pretty much apply to anything (i.e. For cellular respiration watch/listen to the lecture, write the steps yourself, teach it to your cat) - @saltwillneverheal
I personally find revising with blue ink really helpful! Blue ink studying is something I picked up in junior year and have been practicing since. - @jennstudies
For me, I like studying to music with lyrics because then the songs are stuck in my head and I relate the study material to the songs. Music - lyrics or not - is a great way to study because it keeps you focus and helps you to remember material easier. - @kaya-studies
don’t put off anything you can do right now - @rebekahh-jaynee
i also like to study in unconventional spots when im a little worn out at the end of the day. laying on the floor, sprawled awkwardly on the couch, even reading with my head dangling from the bed. this helps me think better and makes me feel less stressed or restrained. - @n1hao

july 6th, 2016. - mini stationery haul with @officiallystudying
i think we spent hours circling the tiny store, deciding on what to give up and what was worth it, and looking at the ever so glorious!!! stationery.
the panda stickies are for my best friend ellyssa, and the string is to attempt making friendship bracelets while i still have time :)
also!! the limited edition pilot juice pen not only smells nice, ive realised that the ink flows way more smoothly and is easier to write with than the regular ones. ^^ hope you all are having a good day!

Currently loving ▪ Pilot G-2 0.38 pens, Frixion highlighters and bullet journalling ▪ @rhomany’s uncolourcoding has worked very well for me over the last few weeks and I have enjoyed a couple of functional and productive weeks in my Retrowslim. Mabel (Malden) is earning her keep in the background for future dates. Next month, I am considering a return to a Moleskine/Leuchtturm for wee bit more room. If you bullet journal in a TN, have pictures on IG or have a video on YouTube - I would love to look at them. Link me up below 😊 by thecursivebird
