NCW still flip-flopping in 2023 about the finale is so disingenuous. He was HAPPY with the "tragically romantic [twincest] death" insofar as he wrote Benioff & Weiss a letter THANKING them. He only began flip-flopping after the ending aired and the backlash swelled up; his desire for Jaime to be seen as a hero for returning to die with Cersei didn't take into account how much the audience loves Brienne and that they wouldn't let that shit slide. His dumb ass got booed at SDCC for good reason.

Nikolaj is a weird one and not in a good way lol. Before S8 he mentioned many times how he'd get into arguments with Dumb and Dumber over Jaime's storyline because he wanted Jaime to leave Cersei sooner, and was very much Team J/B but then all of a sudden with S8 he's pro-Twincest.🤨 So for him to think people would be okay with Dumb and Dumber's flop ending is just plain delusional especially when he was just as anti-twincest as everyone else before S8. Not only did the audience love Brienne but they loved the J/B relationship too! So no duh of course people were gonna hate D&D's version. Nik's role offers were probably drying up and he wanted to stay on good terms with D&D + HBO so they can hire him in the future which would explain the S8 asskissing but so far it hasn't worked out for him.

Him getting booed at SDCC was hilarious! Who tf gets booed at Comic Con?! That's how universally hated the Twincest ending was. I know The Rock got booed too when he went like a year ago and then shortly after Black Adam flopped in the theaters but actors getting booed at SDCC is very very very rare! I'm glad it happened though. 😏 Dumb and Dumber cancelled their appearance that year. Only smart thing they did LMAO. They saw the writing on the wall. That last GoT SDCC panel was so incredibly awkward and embarrassing. They shouldn't of have bothered.

not to give points to GoT or coster-waldeau, but I'm going to give them this one, waldaus voice is sooo cunty, like especially in those asoiaf lore animatics he did voice-overs for. how did he get the cunt and slay for jaime 100% correct and drop the ball on literally everything else that bad.

In theory I respect the move of splitting ASOS into two seasons and I can respect the move on the Jaime-Brienne roadtrip only needing to take one season but I do think it was the downfall of Jaime’s character in that show because putting Jaime in KL for the entire later half of Storm SHOULD mean that the second half of storm plays out differently bc Jaime is there and he just had a whole entire character arc. In the book Jaime finally arriving back in KL means action is being taken that wouldn’t have been without him — changes are being made to the Kingsguard, he starts playing a role in the aftermath of Joffery’s death even though he arrived too late to influence any of the earlier events. This is bc a major part of his character arc was about realizing that it’s not too late to set his own path and move things to a better outcome! But obviously the show does not want to majorly upend the second half of Storm the way it would be by adding back in one of the major players so instead we just have Jaime standing like🧍‍♂️while his family is getting regicided and put on trial and murdering each other. And unfortunately this then established one of show Jaime’s key traits as being the guy who is like 🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️ while people around him do things

Have you seen the Nikolaj Coster-Waldau wedding date Wikipedia drama yet. The date listed on his article was 1997 for a long time so someone corrected it to 1998 but a prolific Wikipedia editor changed it back and then someone put it back at 1998. For what it's worth his wedding took place in 1998 based off Instagram posts from him and his wife.
