As an autistic person, I like seeing shows about autistics. Of course we will be stereotyped and often not portrayed by autistic actors, but I enjoy seeing main characters I can relate to. Especially female autistics.
I really enjoy knowing that famous people are interested in these shows too, because then they know people like me exist.
I would love to see a show, one day, about an autistic person like me. They could be female or non binary, but "normal" in the sense of I am verbal but I am not a genius.

a chanbaek analysis from a veteran exo-l (part 2)

Writing this was a bit harder in comparison to the first part, because I wanted to organize things into a neat timeline, but I ended up not having enough patience for it lol specially because both of ChanBaek's main archive blogs seem to have deleted their pages documenting each date of EXO's early years. Therefore I apologize in advance if this part is a bit more messy. Also, please don't forget that all of this is my opinion and I don't mean for any of it to be taken as truth!
I kind of want to jump from MAMA era directly into Wolf era, since we don't really have a lot of cover regarding their debut phase besides Chanyeol's overeagerness and Baekhyun's awkwardness towards it, so to sum it up, I felt as if Chanyeol was more confident and consistent on what he thought an idol should act like, while Baekhyun (sweet, innocent Baekhyun who was a trainee for less than a year!) was still unsure on how to act on camera.
On the few early variety shows/interviews EXO appeared on, the members always pointed out how funny Baekhyun was, how good he'd be at variety and at doing imitations, but he never really lived up to all the praise on camera, although off of it, he most likely was as good as his members claimed.
He was a bit stiff on his early days in comparison to what we see today, and that's normal, I guess, since he debuted really quickly, but when you compare him to Chanyeol the contrast is so interesting, because the latter was able to latch on to a persona as soon as the public gave him one, while to me, Baekhyun was still doubtful regarding what to put on display. In the end, deep inside, Baekhyun is a private person, and was even more so when he wasn't confident enough to talk to fans like he does today.
Once again, I’m sorry for not being able to upload the gifs directly into the post, so I’ll just link them like I did on my last one.
This is another one of the moments where Baek appears to tell Chanyeol to just. Hold on for a bit.
There's another one similar to this where Chanyeol does the same thing (try to whisper on Baekhyun's ear) and Baekhyun fake laughs and stares at a fan's camera right after. Then, his expression just goes blank. It's really interesting to watch because you can just see the gears spinning on Chanyeol's brain as he stares at Baekhyun for a second and clearly thinks alright, fanservice time, and leans in to whisper something: it happens so fast you just know it wasn't genuine whispering, just a playful interaction for the fans, and Baekhyun's direct stare to the camera as soon as it happens just confirms this for me.
1: Chanyeol spots his target.
2: He’s really thinking this through.
3: Baek's in a perfect position for whispering-time, so he leans in and does his thing.
4: Baekhyun laughs.
5: And stares directly at a fan's camera.
6: Immediately regrets his life choices. Chanyeol looks pleased.
It's actually better to watch the whole thing, so I'll leave it here. (starts on 0:28!)

Now let's jump on to Wolf era, shall we?
Wolf era
I can't help but laugh when I think about how wild 2013 was for both EXO and EXO-Ls. They had their first hit song (which was Growl, not Wolf) the fandom grew considerably, shippers where just discovering the cute ISAC moments between "BaekYeol" and "HunHan"... Or at least that's how everyone remembers most of what happened during that year.
Are we forgetting the rumoured ChanBaek fight?
Considering their past interactions on airports, SMTOWN concerts, ISAC and other events, ChanBaek was now widely known to be close to each other. Baekhyun even said Chanyeol was the one who made him open up, and both of them mentioned feeling this "connection" to each other as soon as they met (although jokingly).
After Mama, the fandom was content-less for a considerable period of time, and what most people did was sharing around old performances and repeat overused memes. I think that in every fandom there is a period where fans establish their main inside jokes and basically just get together to create a collective line of thought for perceiving their idols. That being said, one of the most well established facts in the fandom was that Chanyeol and Baekhyun were close. That was a fact.But then Wolf came, and they suddenly were not.
This gif is a good example of how awkward their interactions were. Not even my delusional shipping brain in 2013 was able to come up with an explanation for it.
They simply did not acknowledge each other at all, and Chanyeol appeared to be closer to Kyungsoo (I think Baekhyun interacted a lot with Tao, but that may have been during the Growl era, not Wolf. As I said before, I'm a Chanyeol stan guys, sorry lmao).
Point is, these two boys who seemed to be best friends suddenly were clearly distant from one another.
What added fuel to the fire of the rumours was their appearance on Sukira, a radio show, where Sehun cried because the members sometimes had fights. Here's a fanacc:

I think this ask on lets-talk-baekyeol, a popular ChanBaek analysis blog from back in the day, shows how curious a lot of fans were.
What happened back then?
There's really no answer for that. On my opinion, not even Chanyeol or Baekhyun could give us a concrete answer on it, because I don't think an actual fight happened. For me, it was most likely a personality clash, a disagreement that probably wasn't even voiced out loud, just both of them noticing how uncomfortable things got, if Baekhyun's reactions to Chanyeol's fanservice is any indication. I somehow doubt there was a specific episode that created this distance between them, specially because during Growl, they went back to being friends, although not as touchy on camera as before, as if one of them had established their limits (oh, I wonder who!), but I still have this feeling that all of this was unspoken, because unspoken things seem to be a pattern on ChanBaek's relationship (something I'll touch on later, hopefully).
But it was during Growl era that I noticed something else about Baekhyun.
Wolf era
EXO'S Showtime was a such a gift. I recommend reading lets-talk-baekyeol's blog for this. I don't really agree with everything they say they do present a lot of relevant points. I may repeat them here, since I noticed them myself as well, but credits for them nonetheless.
I remember finding the lack of ChanBaek interactions during the episodes really dissappointing, but considering the Wolf Era drought, this was better than nothing.
My 13 year old self was devastated when Baekhyun appeared so quiet during Chanyeol's birthday episode, and during a recent rewatch of it, I think realized why.
Baekhyun doesn't like superficial things. It's not that Chanyeol is insincere, but he's just better than Baekhyun is at handling people pleasing, even when he doesn't really mean what's he saying/doing. The Chanyeol birthday episode was heavily centered on Chanyeol's random admiration for Kai, which I think we can all agree that it was a little bit scripted or a really spur of the moment thing that they just ran along with and oh man. Baekhyun did not want to be part of it.
During ChanKai's hug, this is what he looked like on the background, and the poor boy even refused to eat cake. He's just in the back, which is weird, because he's such a talkative person and Chanyeol is one of his closest friends. The only moment where he seems to be genuinely comfortable is when Chanyeol blows the candle and it's really cute. To me, it seems that he was kind of embarrassed to witness so much acting from everyone else and was unable to participate because he struggles with things like this, but the moment Chanyeol blows his candles to comemorate his birthday seems sincere enough for him to fondly smile.
This ties in so well with everything from Mama Era. He's just unable to keep acting/people pleasing on the same easy way that Chanyeol does, but this time he's not as nervous about it as he was on his earlier-early days, where he probably felt pressured to actually do stuff. Now he just doesn't do **it, he just doesn't do something that he dislikes doing, and that sadly creates a distance between them on camera and probably on a deeper level in their relationship as well, because both are just realizing how different their perceptions over their jobs is.
There's also this moment that the mods on lets-talk-baekyeol pointed out.
On the Christmas episode, when the members leave the couch to go get their presents, Chanyeol stays seated while Baekhyun gets up to fetch his. This is the sitting arrangement before (almost) everyone got up:
But when Baekhyun comes back, there's free space next to Chanyeol, however he's hesitant to sit by his side. He actually hesitates and doesn't sit down. Jongdae even gives him a little push right after.
Baek just seems hesitant to do things on camera, to interact with Chanyeol in front of an audience. For this moment, I feel like he's afraid to sit next to Chanyeol and end up having to over act. It's not that Chanyeol himself makes him uncomfortable, but the image of the friendship that they ended up creating for fans demands a lot from him.
And when I say hesitant to do things on camera, I really do mean it, because when Baekhyun thinks he is not being recorded/seen, here's what he does:

Their relationship clearly changed, and I think the reason for it is actually simple: both of them were under the impression that they were compatible with each other when they actually were not. Their personalities are extremely different, even if the way they present themselves is sometimes similar. Wolf and Growl era was our way, as fans, of watching them navigate around each other and finding out how their relationship was supposed to work.
And you know what's nice about that? The members watched all of it unfold. Their reactions to some of ChanBaek's interaction is a gold mine when it comes to analyzing them, because they clearly know, just as we do, that their relationship is kind of complicated. But I want to talk about it on the next part.
I am sorry for cutting this off again! I don't know if the next part is going to be the last, because after Growl there's Overdose and we all know what happened on 2014 [coughs] dating scandal [coughs] god help me I don't want to talk about it [coughs] so there's a lot to uncover and I need time to organize stuff.

Key inspired to take care of my skin and pay attention to how I'm dressing up and that it's a valid dream to grow plants and keep dogs and cook for oneself.
Sehun taught me that whatever I do today, 20 years later I should be able to thank my 28 years old self for helping me get there.
Chen and D.O. taught me how kindness can and should reach everyone you interact with.
Taemin taught me that if I want to get better, I must not be afraid to work hard.
Onew taught me that it's okay to put the needs of people you love before your own. It's not foolish, it's caring.
Baekhyun taught me that if you want to be different from others, you must be willing to give more effort than others.
EXO, SHINee encouraged me to learn a fourth language!
All 9+5 of them helped me keep my life together when I was falling apart. When I needed to recalibre.
You see, I'm learning and relearning at the 27 from these people, experiencing life differently and I hate it when people just bring me down to a fanatic/blind fan or say things like
"oh you like k-pop? That's for teenagers."
"But their language is different!"

Exodus Mall Map & Characters
I’ve been working on a map of the mall and a character chart (which was a very necessary thing as I re-read them in preparation for writing the last six parts!) and here they are!
My white out pen didn’t do the best job and I realized halfway through that I didn’t have enough page space for the food court 😂(so please imagine the space between Barada and Flanagan’s at least double what it is on the map!!!)

Chanyeol is enlisting March 29, 2021. He is to be discharged September 28, 2022. That’s a little under 2 years he’ll be gone. I know for the most part i’ll be okay during that time though. I’ve already been through it with kyuhyun, shinee, minseok and kyungsoo. But then also, chanyeol is my ult bias so this is a bit of a different feeling 😭 We’ll just have to see then 😭 Im looking forward to see chestnut/walnut yeollie though and making a new phone wallpaper and header pics 🥺

Love, Huh? - Chapter 6
Finally today arrived. The day you were meeting Yixing. After the dinner with the Oh’s, you texted him you were free the next day, but he had to be in China for a family wedding for a week. You met Yixing back when your ex was finding businesses to invest in, and his club was one of them. You didn’t instantly become friends with him, other than the fact that your ex was super jealous, Yixing was kinda scary at first. He had this intimidating aura, even your ex agreed. But you got closer. In secret though.
For the past week, the boys have barely left you alone. They would try to arrange their schedule so at least one of them would be home. You know they have many friends, especially Chanyeol. Even Kyungsoo has his routine hangouts with his group. And Sehun who likes to drink outside. But lately they’ve just been at home a lot. You overheard Chanyeol couple days ago talking to his friend, “Sorry babe, a bit busy tonight, the comeback is near. But I’ll see you next week at the show okay?” or when you unintentionally and accidentally saw a text message on Kyungsoo’s phone from ‘Kwangsoo-hyung’ that read “We miss you Soo-ya. Hope you can come next time!” when both of them (plus the youngest) were schedule-less and spent the whole night at home drinking with Sehun’s newly bought whiskey.
When all of them had to leave altogether one day, they called and texted you (or facetime at the clingy maknae’s case) all day. You wanted to tell them that you were okay, and to be alone for a couple of hours is totally manageable. But you didn’t, knowing that they still felt guilty (when they shouldn’t have) they couldn’t be there when you needed them. So you let them, do things that would ease their minds.
You told them about your plan today, since they had to finish everything up for their next week’s comeback. Like expected, when you were getting ready to meet Yixing, you checked your phone to find a lot of texts already came in the group chat, the one they already had before they added you in.

Leaving Kyungsoo and the group chat (that was just filled with Sehun’s whining at this point) on read, you finished your dishes and went back to your room to grab your bag. Picking up the phone you left on the counter, you saw the last messages on the group chat.

A laugh came out from you. Finally things were starting to be normal again. Except of course the constant nagging and worries from them. But you found yourself liking it, that they care about you. And of course, it did feel nice to bicker with Sehun after so long.
“I miss your bratty ass,” you smiled mumbling to no one.
When you were checking out the chat, someone rang the doorbell. Weird, no one was supposed to come over.
You [12:45] :
Hey anyone expecting someone today?
I thought the cleaner was supposed to come tomorrow?
After the quick texts, they didn’t answer and the bell rung again. So you took a look at the peephole, and found the person you didn’t expect standing in front of the door.
“BAEKHYUN!” you exclaimed.
“GIRLIE I MISSED YOU!” he then proceeded to hug you.
“What are you doing here?!”
Baekhyun let you go before answering, “Your boyfriends told me you needed company today!”
Ah, of course. The boys.
“They told me to come last week too, but I was busy so I couldn’t. I was so sad I couldn’t see you earlier. It’s been sooooo long!!” he explained.
You hugged once again, indeed, missing him. Before the shitshow happened, he was one of your closest friends other than the EXO, the boys’ band. You then told him you were meeting Yixing and he was more than happy to come with you.
So you walked with him to Yixing’s café. He started to talk about the things you missed out about him, like how he became the million seller with his last album, the first Korean solo artist to do so in 19 years (yes go off king), and some of the guys he dated. He also mentioned his plan to collab with Kyungsoo again and how he had high hopes about it, since the first made him got a best friend in the latter and also in you and the two others.
It took him about 10 minutes before asking, “So what happened?”
“Bad relationship, and like usual, they were there to pick up my pieces,” you answered with a sincere smile.
Baekhyun didn’t pry. And that was really what he really need to know. That you were okay.
15 minutes of walking and you finally arrived. And you didn’t even have to enter the café to find Yixing, he was standing on the entrance looking down to his watch and phone. He only looked over when you called his name, and you launched into each other’s arms.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered as he held you.
“Again, not your fault, and never will be.” You stepped back from him and introduced him to the other person. “This is Baekhyun, and this is Yixing,” you said to both and Yixing offered his hand. Baekhyun zoned out for a minute before shaking the other’s hand.
“Come in! And choose your favorite treat please!” the tallest welcomed you in.
After choosing the mouthwatering red velvet cake and rose tea for yourself, all three of you were seated in one of the tables.
“So I never knew you had a café,” you said to Yixing.
“You know I’m a sweet tooth. Once I’ve saved enough, this happened,” he gestured the café. “Have you been okay?”
“Yes, how ‘bout you?”
“Me? I’m okay. Well not really. I’m drowning in debts cause I made a leap of faith when this lot became available couple of months ago, so,” he laughed.
You laughed with him too, “Your parents are rich, Xing. You need to worry about nothing.”
“Exactly why I’m not depressed about the debts,” he paused to take a sip of his drink. “Is this one of the guys you live with?” he asked pointing at the guy sitting next to you, currently head deep in his strawberry watermelon cake.
You chuckled seeing Baekhyun’s excitement eating the treat. “No. He’s their friend though. Mine too.”
Realizing he was being talked about, he looked sheepishly to the both of you. “Sorry, this is really good,” he talked with his mouth full.
“By the way, where do you live? You said it’s not far?” Yixing asked you. When you told him the name of the building, his eyes widen. “No way.”
“What?”
“I live there too!”
“No way.”
“Do you live there too?” Yixing asked Baekhyun this time.
“Sadly, no.”
All of you ended up talking about music, with Baekhyun giving songs recommendation for Yixing to play in his café, most of them are his songs though. Not that anyone complained, his songs are bombs. Baekhyun also asked about business things, turned out he was thinking about opening up a clothes store for his brand.
“Sorry I have to take this,” Baekhyun said when his phone rang, and he walked out of the café.
“Does he know?” Yixing asked once Baekhyun left.
“A little bit.”
“The other guys?”
“They know.”
“Good. You need the support.” He paused again. “I’m really sorry though. I didn’t know it was that bad.”
“Like I’ve said over and over again, it is not your fault.”
“His mom called a couple days ago.”
Your breath hitched. “Why?”
“He’s been spiraling out of control.”
Your heart skipped a beat. “But why would she call you and not his friends?” They were friends yes, Yixing and your ex. But not that close.
“She asked my number around, knowing I know you, to ask me to tell you. She’s his mom but still a woman. She couldn’t ask you for this.”
“For what?”
“A call. To him.”
And this time you were sure you weren’t breathing. “What happened to him?” you asked him with your head hung low.
Yixing took your hand in his, “Drugs.”
Your head snapped up. “What?”
He took a deep breath before continuing to explain, “He did drug business behind my back at the club, another reason I closed it down other than the fact that all the investors left after what happened. And the police knew. That’s why they tried to push you into suing him, cause they don’t have enough proof to put him behind bars. He never used them before. But his mom told me he’s been doing it. And she begged me to let you know, to ask you to call him. Just once, to tell him to stop.”
Your head fell again, you were holding back tears. You were afraid, of him. You were afraid of what he did to you and also about what would happen to him.
“You don’t have to do it, not after what he did to you.”
“I… I’ll think about it,” you replied weakly.
“Don’t think too hard. I don’t agree with this too. I only told you because his mom literally begged me on her knees to let you know. But you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to, okay?”
You just nodded. When Baekhyun came back, you tried to fake a smile and masked your feelings. After about another hour, with promises of visiting in the future, you left. As both of you walked out of the café, you turned to your side to the guy who spent the last hour staring at your friend, “You know, he’s gay, he’s single, definitely ready to mingle, and I also noticed his interest in you” you watched his eyes twinkled, “Go get that dick,” you lightly smacked his bottom as he blushed and walked in once again to face the guy behind the cashier. You saw them pulling out their phones, clearly exchanging numbers. “Happy?” you asked as Baekhyun came out smiling wide.
“I just got myself a sugar daddy, of course I’m happy!”
“Oh don’t even try. He’s my sugar daddy.”
“Honey, you already have 3, you don’t need more.”

We moved the first time in Aug 2012 (from the Midwest to Seattle WA), then May 2014 (Seattle to Florida), then June 2019 (West Coast of FL to East Coast of FL) and we’ll be moving a FOURTH TIME sometime in Oct 2020 - not sure exactly when but we are for sure (back to the West Coast of FL).
4. Do you wear deodorant every day?
I don’t >< I don’t trust the chemicals (aluminum) in deodorant so I just wash my pits every day and they’re fine.
5. What was the last thing you bonded with someone over?
Umm, I can really only think of bonding with my husband over our shared interests
6. What are your plans for the upcoming weekend?
UGH well we had the “Cat 1 Hurricane” that thankfully turned to a Tropical Storm - so we just stayed home and played video games and watched UFC. Its actually supposed to pass through us today and so far, its just windy and rainy. Nothing too bad.
7. What TV shows are you watching?
I’m kind of between shows right now. Just finishing Jason Mesnick’s season of the Bachelor on Netflix currently but not sure what I’ll put on after that.
8. What is your favorite music genre?
I love so many - mostly Rock/Metal, Anime/Japanese songs and 80s. I was heavily into Kpop for about 5 years but I’ve recently stopped paying so close attention. I still like it but definitely don’t follow it as closely as I did before.
9. What is something you’re super into right now?
Honestly, nothing in particular. I need to find some type of hobby. I want to start journaling or a journal of games I play (with screen shots) or something. but I never have the patience to sit a do stuff like that. However, I always want to play games like Stardew Valley (its always on my mind. I just love that game so much).
10. Do you have a celebrity crush?
Ok, I have a few haha:
- Henry Cavill (Have you SEEN him build a computer? Or his role in the Witcher?? *heart eyes*)
- Tom Hardy (I really liked him in Mad Max and Venom)
- Do Kyungsoo and Park Chanyeol from EXO (Korean boy band) - I melt every time I hear their voices.
11. Do you have a goal you’re trying to accomplish?
Yes but I can never decide what I want to spend my time on so I end up just wasting time. Like this morning for instance - I get up at 8am, briefly scroll through social media/watched the Bachelor with WIP of a Stardew Valley fic open on my laptop but now its 10:30am and I added maybe 15 words to the fic...WHERE did the last 2 hours go?? I have all of these ideas but for some reason, I have the hardest time sitting down and typing it all out..and procrastinate and do this survey instead ><
12. What was your last dream? Did you tell anyone about it?
I had a dream of a Stardew Valley one-shot (which is what I was trying to write this morning) but of course, didn’t get it written out. I usually tell my husband about them
13. Do you like workouts where you count reps or by 30 seconds?
I’ll take either. I like working out
14. Whats your favorite thing to do on a Sunny day? What about a Rainy day?
On a Sunny day, I like going for walks with my Husband and playing Pokemon Go. On rainy days, I like sitting and studying something (like a language) or even playing games.
15. Do you have a "Rainy Day fund"?
No, but I just push most of my income (whatever is left over after paying bills/buying the necessities) into my savings account.
16. Do you "RBF" (resting bitch face)?
Not really? But I get told I look “angry” sometimes? I hate that I have that expression but I know I frown when I’m in deep thought ><
17. If your house was one fire, what is the first thing you would grab?
As long as my Husband was safe, my second thought would be my computers and external hard drive.
18. What is your favorite feature about yourself? Worst feature?
I like my eyes and smile, my worst feature..well I guess it’d be my social anxiety ><
19. What is your “must get” from the grocery store? (What item is always on your list?)
Lately its been watermelon, a great snack.
20. Do you have a favorite show or song you put on every time you’re sad?
Not particularly. I have a playlist of songs that I put on when I’m in that mood but no specific song or show
21. What is your favorite holiday?
I like Thanksgiving and New Years Eve/Day
22. What is your dream occupation?
UGH I wish I knew. I’m in the financial field right now and I don’t really like it but its not too bad. I know I don’t belong in this field but I don’t have experience in anything else to fall back on so I guess I’ll continue with it (plus I’m in my early 30s, I don’t want to have to start ALL OVER again since we’re finally close to getting a house and finally starting a family).
23. Do you like dressing up?
Eh, not really. I like casual, comfy clothes
24. Ever been on a cruise? Bungee jumping?
I’ve been on several cruises (they’re a lot of fun!) but I have not bungee jumped..not sure if I’m brave enough for that.
25. Have you ever been on a date? What has been your favorite date?
I have been on quite a few dates! My favorite one was going to a rock show for our 3 month anniversary (WAY back in May 2010) with my husband (well, he was just my boyfriend at the time :) )
26. Have you ever been through a Hurricane? Tornado? Earthquake?
Well, Hurricane Irma in 2017 and Hurricane Dorian in 2019...lets hope we don’t have anymore this year >< I have not been through a Tornado or Earthquake.
27. Are you the adventurous type?
I’d say so? I don’t know many people who would move as much as we have
28. Do you live close to your family?
No :/ all of my family (and in-laws) live in the Midwest. Well, aside from my Mother/Father-in-law. They are snowbirds and have a house on the West Coast of FL and we’re moving back to be closer to them in a couple months.
29. Are you creative? Is there anything creative you’re working on right now?
I WANT to be creative but I have a hard time sitting down and getting something done. I have half-written about 20 fanfiction pieces (for several fandoms) since 2017 but I haven’t completed any of them.
30. Do you have a morning routine? Nightly routine?
- Morning routine on the week day: Get up, start coffee, take a shower, scroll through social media/watch a show before getting ready for work
- Morning routine on the weekend: Get up, start coffee, wash my face, watch a show/play a video game/scroll through social media until my Husband wakes up
Nightly routine on the week day: Get my lunch ready the night before, brush/floss, read at least 10-20 min then go to sleep by 11pm to get up at 6:15am
Nightly routine on the weekend: Brush my teeth and go to bed lol

100 DAYS MY PRINCE (2018)

Cast: Do Kyungsoo (EXO member D.O., It’s Okay, That’s love; Swing Kids), Nam Jihyun (Shopping King Louie, Suspicious Partner)
Synopsis: Crown Prince Lee Yul (D.O.) is a cold and aloof man, with very little connection to his subjects. As part of his duties, he issues an edict that forces all of the throne’s subjects to marry before they turn 28. One woman struggling to stay on the right side of the new law is villager Hong Shim (Nam Ji Hyun), a woman with a secret identity even she is not fully aware of. While on his way to an official function, Lee Yul’s party is attacked in an ambush while passing through the village. When he awakes, Lee Yul finds himself in Hong Shim’s house. Unaware of who he is, she and her father treat his wounds. The attack has left him with memory loss, and – taking him for an unmarried commoner – the villagers wonder if he could possibly marry Hong Shim, to comply with the new law, unaware of his true identity. But what will happen when those who complotted against the prince find out he is still alive?
Personal opinion: I honestly did not expect this drama to be as good as it was, seeing that I really am not the biggest fan of comedy sageuks. But boy, this one blew me away! It was absolutely hilarious and at the same time also very emotional. We have the obligatory tropes like memory loss and political coups, but honestly my favourite part of the drama were the daily village shenanigans. My brain still shouts “OHO” at the most random moments and it’s been over a year since I last watched this drama, so needless to say it was quite iconic. I just wish sageuk writers would stop forcing in political story lines whenever they can because it gets really repetitive and predictable (not necessarily here because him being a prince is literally what the drama is about, but I think we can all agree we’ve seen too many *gasp* “He’s the crown prince??!!” moments for them to work).
Overall rating: 9/10
