Kirishima fucks up and Bakugou and Kaminari are there to sweep up the mess and fix you out of your feels.
Cw; fluff, Café worker au, light hurt/comfort.
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺
You and Kirishima had been friends throughout middle school, and it stayed that way. The light and happy feeling of being with your best friend. The soft smiles and the silly laughs, it felt great. Heavenly even. That was how it was.
Until you introduced them.
"Hey, I'm Mina Ashido! I've seen you around before, haven't I?" She said with a bright smile before sticking her hand out to the blank spikey haired boy.
Kirishima froze before clearing his throat and rubbing the back of his neck with a smile, "O–Oh, yeah! Nice to meet you, I'm Eijiro Kirishima." He replied with a sheepish grin.
You watched silently at the greeting, smiling at the smooth greeting, it seemed pretty nice. You were somewhat excited, you were thinking of being the awesome trio at Mustafa Private Middle School.
But that wasn't the case. Not at all. You never expected to be the one left out on hangouts let alone left behind. You never thought you'd be the one to feel that prickling pang of jealousy and pain as you watched your bestfriend and your other friend laugh and share a popcorn bucket at the movies. You were stuck on the end side as both of them sat by eachother, laughing and giggling at the movie loud enough for several people to give them dirty looks.
It wasn't as fun when you were on the butt end of it, was it?
This went on and on, and each time, you felt little bits and pieces of your enjoyment that was there before, shatter and fly away. It hurt, so bad, more than anyone could imagine. And it didn't help that you liked your bestfriend too.
You sighed before getting up off of the round, metal Café chair and grabbing your belongings. You had been mulling and thinking too much. People had offered you several little snacks when they caught you shedding a couple tears, which made you feign a smile. But the thankfulness and prick of gratefulness didn't last forever, which is why you decided it was better to just sulk at home and not embarass yourself.
You were about to ditch the Café before you heard someone yell. You whipped your head back at the voice, which was apparently the Café counter.
"Hey, you." A blonde guy called out with both palms on the counter as he looked at you. You glanced around before pointing at yourself and slightly tilting your head.
The worker nodded and grinned, "Yeah, you, c'mere." He motioned for you to come closer before dipping behind the small glass panel that slightly hid the drink he pulled out from behind it.
You slowly walked closer, clearly confused on why you were called out. Maybe it was because you stayed too long. You really didn't hope so, you were definitely in no mood to get an earful.
"On the house, hate seein' pretty people like you sob in here." The blonde said before sliding a [Favorite drink] to you with thin caramel lining that made up a small happy face.
You stared at him for a brief minute before pursing your lips, trying to decide if this was worth your smile right now or not. If you could even muster up one.
But, after a couple seconds, your body decided for your as a warm smile tugged at your lips causing an instant reaction from the blonde boy as his grin got wider.
"I– T.. Thank you." You said softly, taking the drink and pulling it closer before taking a sip and immediately feeling a tad better than you had before.
He tipped his little worker visor before flashing his amber eyes down at you with a soft smirk. "The names Kaminari. Denki Kaminari." He said softly.
You chuckled quietly, "[L/N], [F/N] [L/N]." Kaminari perked up before snatching an order paper and grabbing a pen from the table and writing down his number.
He slid it against the table towards you with a soft grin, "Use it however you please." He mumbled softly before making soft eye contact with you.
"Dunce face, God damn it! You better not be flirting with another customer again." A voice boomed from the back before a loud slam was heard. Everyone, including you and Kaminari whipped their heads over to whatever made that noise.
Another worker came from behind the wall before his eyes instinctively met the front of the counter, soon finding their way up to your slightly flushed, puffy face and just as puffy eyes.
He sucked his teeth before dipping back behind the wall and coming out with a duck themed sugar cookie and sliding it across the counter before stopping right in front of you.
"Damn Bakugou, didn't expect you to be the–" The darker blonde was quickly cut off with a cough as the other worker shoved an elbow into his abdomen, effectively shutting him up.
"Don't be goin' to a Café just to mope around n' not buy anything. That's just bs." The ash-blonde mumbled the last part before going back behind the wall with his hands shoved in his Café designed apron.
Your eyes followed him until he was no longer in sight, you were clearly slightly baffled with the mixed signals. Your attention was quickly snagged away from the ash-blonde to the Darker blonde that was clutching onto his stomach.
"Don't mind him, he's always like that." He wheezed out, giving his best attempt at a grin as he stared at you for a moment.
You chuckled for a moment before clearing your throat and straightening up as your expression took one of worry and concern, "Are– Are you.. alright?"
"Don't worry, 'm fine– He always does this." He spoke before coughing and straightening up. He cleared his throat before smiling warmly. "What I think Bakugou over there was tryna say is, don't be upset, everything's gonna turn out fine. Well, whatever youre goin' through will be." He shrugged with a hum sounding like the words 'I don't know.'
You smiled softly before nodding, "If that's the case, send him my thanks." You gave a farewell nod before turning around and making your way towards the Café doors.
"Will do." Was the last thing you heard before the small bell at the top of the double glass doors rang. You felt lighter than before, a little out of the dumps. You glanced down at the drink and little snack with a soft smile before taking a sip.
Maybe today wasn't going to be as bad.
And from that day on, you became a regular, always going back to that same Café to see those very blondes. At one point, they began to memorize your favorite drinks almost by heart just by simple glance at your expression.
You'd always pick the table closest to the counter so they'd always have the chance to start up small talk at times, and Kaminari took all the chances he could get.
Bakugou on the other hand, acted as if he didn't want you there which would normally hurt– if he didn't occasionally sneak you a couple cookies and small cups of whip cream.
"So how is our lovely regular doing today?" Kaminari asked with a soft grin as his chin resting in the palm of his hand for support atop the soft beige marble counter.
"I'm doing okay." You replied, making your way to the blonde as your other favorite blonde walked around behind Kaminari while making drinks for the other stray customers.
"Glad to hear." He beamed you a closed eye grin before spinning on his heel and making his way over to the drink station. Presumably to make your drink.
"Whaddya think you're doing, idiot. Go talk to them, I'm making the damn drink already." A harsh whisper was heard from Bakugou as his hands quickly worked at what looked to be a latte.
Kaminari silently mocked him before rolling his eyes and walking back to you. His expression shifted to one of softness as he saw you glancing up at their temporary sanrio menu.
"Thinkin' of buying one of those chibbi thingies from our menu today?" He asked, placing both of his palms on the edges of the counter as he leaned forward ever so slightly.
You pursed your lips in thoughts before smiling softly and nodding, "Yeah, can I get a... [Favorite sanrio character] themed bubble tea? Along with a [F/S/C] sugar cookie?"
"Coming right up beautiful." He responded with a wink before dipping in slightly behind the wall and shouting your order to Bakugou. Whom responded with a very vocal, "Don't yell at me, damn extra!"
You chuckled before glancing behind you at the sound of the little bell ringing as people entered. You were always a nosey one.
And then, your heart dropped.
You watched in slight horror and both Kirishima and Mina walked inside the Café arm in arm with cheerful smiles. You practically froze in place as you slowly turned your head towards the counter, praying to every deity there was that they wouldn't recognize the back of your head.
"Woah, what's wrong with you?" Kaminari questioned, cocking a brow as he stared at you with your sugar cookie in hand. His expression started to lace with concern as you remained silent and frozen.
"[L/N]–" You quickly shut him up before he could finish calling out your name by sending him a death glare that could send a small shiver down Bakugou's spine.
Kaminari quickly stayed silent before hesitantly glancing behind you to welcome the new customers before he too, froze in place.
He laughed nervously before pursing his lips, "Oh– Uh, hey! Your shift started 5 minutes ago [False name], come on." He ushered you over to the little gate stiffly, and you quickly complied.
You quickly, yet semi cautiously made your way over to the gate before pushing your body into it as it allowed you inside. You booked it behind the wall that always hid the rest of the small storage area only to be met face first into a thick pole.
"What the hell?! The fuck're you doin' back here? And watch where you're going!"
You glanced up at said pole that had two drinks up in the air as he beamed you a confused scowl. You quickly backed up before placing a hand over his mouth and glancing behind you where Kaminari stiffly took the pair's order.
Bakugou stayed still for a moment before placing both drinks on a nearby counter and grabbing your wrist. "What the fuck is going on." He said in a harsh whisper.
"The– Youknowthosepeopleitoldyouaboutthatleftmeforeachotherafteriintroducedthem?yeahwelltheyrehereandkaminarihel–"
"God damn it– Slow down idiot!" Bakugou said as he covered your mouth with his hand. He sucked his teeth before slowly retracting his hand from your mouth.
You remained silent for a moment before taking a calming breath and looking up at him, "Remember when I came in here crying?"
"Yeah, you looked like a fuckin' pimple with all that puffiness." He teased with a grin before clearing his throat and allowing you to continue.
You gave him a sharp look before huffing and continuing, "Well that reason why I was crying is here and talking to Kaminari."
Bakugou thought for a moment before pursing his lips in hesitancy. His expression of thought quickly turned into a narrow one as he shoved you out of the way and left from behind the wall.
You watched in terror as Kaminari tried to hold Bakugou back from blowing the whole counter along with Kirishima and Mina away. If this was a clean show, all you'd be hearing was that annoying beep.
"Bakugou– C'mon bro, fuck! Calm down!" Kaminari shouted, holding Bakugou by his the crooks of his neck as the ash-blonde's hands started sparking and popping. All you could hear was loud, violent I'll kill yous and Bastards along with streams of something that sounded like it could come out of Satan's mouth himself.
"Bakugou.." You said under your breath, walking slightly towards the chaos behind the counter. Both blonde's heads whipped towards your direction and froze.
What you didn't know, was that you walked a bit too far and you were now in view for both Mina and Kirishima to spot you and also freeze.
By now, all customers either began recording or scrambled away as far as they could from the very lively Café. But that was the least of your worries the moment you heard his voice.
"[Name]..?"
Your head whipped towards the voice with an expression that could break a man's pride. And well, it did. Throughout all Bakugou's stream of curses, all you could hear was Kirishima's small curses about how crazy your blondes were.
You stared at him as if he were crazy, insane, an outcast, like he didn't belong, like you didn't know who he was, like you disgusted by him, like you hated him. At this point, you could care less about the terrified Mina behind him, the only thing that went through your mind was the betrayal and the fact Bakugou lashed out on someone on his shift. For you.
"Get out."
"What?"
"Get out."
"[Nam]–"
"Get. OUT."
All eyes and phone cameras were on you now, your shout having gained the attention from everyone. You pointed towards the double glass doors and sent him a glare of despair and hatred.
Kirishima recoiled at your sudden volume before Mina stepped in front of him and looked at you with confusion and sorrow. "[Nickname], what's going on with you..?"
You ground your teeth within your mouth briefly before turning away from her and walking behind the wall again. All you could hear afterwards was Kirishima beginning to call your name before getting stopped by a loud slam on the counter and a loud "Get the fuck out."
You sat quietly on a chair in the corner as you stared blankly at the wall infront of you. You counted atleast 104 cracks in the wall and about 3 faded ash marks on that very same chunk of wall.
"[Name]."
You flinched at the sound of your name before instantly calming down at the sight of Kaminari and Bakugou standing by you.
"Are you– Are you okay?" Kaminari said softly, coming closer to you and placing a warm hand on your shoulder as his eyebrows furrowed with concern.
Bakugou came closer before shoving his hands in his pocket and leaning against the wall in front of you with a soft scowl. "If you're worried about those bastards, I scared 'em off 5 minutes ago. Damn extras are so damn persistent."
You chuckled softly for a second at his last remark before clearing your throat and glancing up at both Kaminari and Bakugou. You slowly nodded before sighing, "Yeah.. Yeah, I'm okay. But, I just– I just wanna thank you both for what you did back there.. Helping me and stuff.. Just– Thank you. I really appreciated it."
"Don't be getting all sappy on me now, [Name]." Kaminari teased before ruffling your hair and grinning softly at you. "Plus, it was the least we could do for our favorite customer. Don't tell Amari I said that, she always tips me an extra five bucks whenever she comes here."
You laughed for a moment before smiling softly at both of them, "Noted." You let out another content sigh, feeling lighter than you did during the scenes of drama.
"Tch. Whatever, they deserved it. Wasn't like I was doin' it for you anyway, I got a lotta pent up rage dealing with those damn complaintent customers." Bakugou scoffed before turning his head away to look off to the side. "N' don't worry bout the Café cause I know damn well you will. Our manager will deal with the shit that comes with our mishap."
You couldn't help your smile as it widened at Bakugou's choice of words. After becoming a regular and always speaking with the two, you've come to learn what Bakugou truly means with his words. And this one meant, you're welcome and it's okay.
You stood up slowly before turning towards Kaminari and standing in front of him, just keeping eye contact before wrapping him up in a tight hug.
He grunted quietly in shock before grinning and instantly wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you closer. "God, I thought I'd never be able to do this." He whispered.
After a couple moments of content, you slowly pulled away and grinned at Bakugou, who was scowling harder than he was earlier.
You laughed before leaping forward and wrapping your arms around Bakugou's neck in a warm, happy hug. Bakugou grunted as well, a little louder than Kaminari before scoffing and hugging you back tighter with his arms around your waist.
"You're welcome nerd." He whispered in your ear as he leaned his head towards the crook in your neck.
Kaminari stood there with his hands on his hips, giving Bakugou an I-know-you-feel-it-too look before straightening up and clearing his throat as Bakugou glared at him.
You and Bakugou had a little bit of a longer moment as you both hugged in silence before you pulled away. He took the chance to ruffle your hair before shoving his hands in his pocket and leaning back against the wall.
"So.. whose up for a festival night?" You ask with a soft grin.

Whispers of Rain
Chapter 11: Up like the moon and out like the hounds

Thank you to @papaslittlesunshine for betaing and @midnight-moth for listening to my depraved raindrop thoughts, as always!
Story can be read below the cut or on Ao3
If you like it, I'd love a reblog or likes. Always appreciated!
Dew quickly vacated Eidolon’s lap, his lips still wet with their kiss and stood on shaky legs to turn around. He felt Eidolon reach out to steady him as he too stood, placing his hand on the small of his back. Dew relished the feeling of his calm nature as he looked at Rain.
Rain.
Rain with his little smile on his face, his eyebrows pinched together, tears in his eyes.
Rain.
Rain was trying to ignore the fact that Dew was just on someone else’s lap, kissing someone else. His heart broke at the sight of them. It was his job to reach out and steady Dew, his job to bring him comfort. He swallowed those feelings down as he took a step towards Dew. His hands reaching out in front of him asking, needing to feel him close.
Dew could feel the tremor run through Eidolon’s hand on his back, the small growl in his throat at seeing Rain approaching. He reached behind him and grabbed his hand in a small squeeze, before letting go and putting his feet in motion to bring him closer to Rain.
When they met in the middle of the room, they didn’t immediately touch, instead taking a moment to look at the other as tears streamed down their faces. Dew reached out first, putting his arms around Rain, bringing him flush to his body. Rain’s arms quickly went around his back with the intention of never letting him go again. Rain’s body was racked with sobs as held onto Dewdrop, his tears wet on Dew’s shoulders.
“I am so sorry,” Rain whispered quietly into his ear, a statement just for the two of them.
When Dew choked out and asked why, he continued, “I tried to be here sooner, I tried so hard, but they wouldn't let me, I thought about you everyday, everyday.”
Dew pulled back and looked into Rain’s eyes, the torture these months had wroth, evident on his face. He wondered what Rain had faced topside.
“I missed you so much, Otter.”
They collapsed against each other again, just breathing in the other's scent, listening to their heartbeats sync together once more.
Eidolon watched Rain and Dew, trying to not let his face show the disappointment of being interrupted and be happy for Dew, he knew how much he missed Rain. He could see why he loved him, not just his looks, he was beautiful like Dewdrop, but also he could see how much Rain loved Dew. His emotions were written all over his face. He wondered how they hid their feelings from Ifrit, anyone with eyes could see they were meant for eachother. Eidolon quietly grieved what he knew he wouldn’t have with Dew.
So invested in his thoughts on Rain and Dew he missed when the other ghoul made his way to his side, and was looking him up and down. He turned to address him, introducing himself, when the other ghoul quickly pulled him into a giant bear hug, crushing him to his chest.
“He-Hello?” He tried to squeak out between breaths he was able to take.
“Phantom, he told me he let you go back to our village, why are you still here?” Aether pulled away from the hug, grabbing Eidolon’s face in his hands, turning it every which way, looking for what? He didn’t know.
“You may have me confused with someone else.”
“Phantom, stop joking around.”
Eidolon pushed himself back from the ghoul, his hands on his chest, pushing him away from his body. “I don’t know who Phantom is, my name is Eidolon.”
Aether tried to grab his arm again to pull him closer to his body, but Eidolon was having none of that. He quickly moved to the other side of the tent, his fleeing body grabbing Dew’s attention as he moved.
“Eidolon?” Dew inquired as he moved out of Rain’s arms, but not letting his hand go, their fingers intertwined, smiling to himself when he felt the ring he gave Rain still on his fingers.
Aether moved to approach Eidolon once again, but was quickly shut off in his pursuit by Dew, who placed his hand not attached to Rain up to ward him off, before he moved to stand closer to Eidolon, dragging Rain along with him.
“What’s wrong?”
“He keeps calling me Phantom, I don’t know who he is, Dew.”
Dew quickly turned his head to look at Aether, and mouthed, Phantom, while Aether quickly nodded his head.
“How?” Dew knew Aether had a brother, knew his name was Phantom, but nothing beyond that. The way Aether talked about him he was a lot younger, Dew thought he was still a kit from how he was described.
“I haven’t seen him in so long, but it is him for sure. The fact that Ifrit is calling him Eidolon makes sense too, that is his given name, Phantom was just a nickname I called him.”
“Why don’t I remember you?” Eidolon asked from behind Dewdrop.
“I don’t know, love, but I promise you are him, you are my baby brother.”
Brother? Was this person the embodiment of the family he couldn’t remember? He looked nothing like himself, but that didn’t necessarily mean anything.
Dew saw that Eidolon was reeling from this information, he wanted to reach out and hold him close to tell him it would all be ok. Shower him in the same comfort he always provided for Dewdrop, but the grasp on his hand pulled him back from those feelings before he acted on them. He was torn between not wanting to hurt either of the ghouls next to him. He cared, loved them both. How did this get so messed up?
Rain spoke up from his side pressed up against Dew, “Maybe we should all introduce ourselves?”
“Yes! Eidolon, this is Rain,” motioning to his side, “And this is Aether, Aether, Rain, this is Eidolon.”
Rain offered his hand not attached to Dew to Eidolon, “Eidolon, nice to meet you.”
Eidolon took the offered hand, looking up into Rain’s eyes, the kind smile he offered, Eidolon couldn’t stop himself from smiling back at him. He could feel the warmth in Rain’s hand spread up his arm, taking the chill of the last few moments away. He wondered if it would be weird if he held his hand for awhile. Probably.
He silently turned from Rain to look back at Aether. So this was Aether, the one he was drawn to the story of with his quintessence, was it because he was family, was it because he had the same magic. Like he stated they looked nothing alike, Aether was taller, with a stocky build, his broad shoulders, leading to muscled arms and strong hands that were now gripping his. His hand encompassed Eidolon’s, it was so large, his hand disappeared inside of his much larger one. When he looked at his face, he could see he had similar eyes, if not Aether’s a little darker purple. His hair was lighter, almost more of a brown, as opposed to his own dark tresses. He had a small pensive smile on his lips, and Eidolon knew he just wanted to pull him back into his arms again. He offered a nod of his head and a smile back, which had to be enough for right now.
“How did you even get here?” Dew asked quietly, trying not to add more tension to this already tense moment.
“It is a very long story, which we probably should hold off on for right now and get you two out of here.”
Now that they had their initial meeting they all could recognize the dangerous situation they were in. Rain wouldn’t be able to stop the pounding “thump, thump” of his heart again until he had Dew away from Ifrit, he could see the toll these months had on him. Dew was terrified now that Rain was back in his arms, that Ifrit would finish the job he started and as much as he cherished having Rain there with him again, he wouldn’t be the one to cause his death. If Ifrit touched him, he’d have to go through Dew and they would depart this land together, when he looked at Eidolon, he had the same urge to protect him as well. This was going to get messy if he didn’t figure this out soon.
Aether handed them both cloaks to pull over their clothes, they were in a stark white to show they were part of the attendant staff. He had failed to see the ones that both Rain and Aether had on and pulled back off of their heads. They all quickly donned their cloaks and covered their heads, keeping their heads down, ready to move before Rain whispered to him.
“I am not letting you go again, stay close to me.”
Dew could hear the tremble in his words, he reached out one last time before they stepped out of the tent to grab his hand before pulling it up to his mouth and placing a kiss on his palm. He could hear Rain’s small sigh of happiness before he quieted it back down and left the tent first, Dew right on his heels with Eidolon right behind him and Aether bringing up the rear, surrounding the weaker two from months (or in Eidolon’s case, years) of torture.
As they made their way swiftly between the tents, Dew could hear the moaning from within, the cracks of whips as they sliced through the air, the grunts of pain that followed the snap as it hit flesh, over and over again. He had to remind himself that Rain was in front of him and that he had to stay strong and focused, not get distracted by the inflections of pain going on around him. He knew there were probably so many people in the same situation he was in, but his only job today was to make sure Rain and Eidolon made it out of this compound. Aether could handle himself, he was sure and Dew, himself, didn’t matter, they could kill him to make sure the other two got free. They would always sacrifice themselves for the other, if they could stop trying to not inflect unhappiness on the other, maybe they could then be truly happy and free.
For the most part everyone ignored the four figures moving silently through the grounds, as they got closer to the exit, security picked up a little though and they had to carefully plan their moves. The first checkpoint to exit had Rain offering papers to the guard, mumbling quietly that they were tasked with getting more wine from the local warehouse. Dew waited with baited breath as the guard checked the paperwork and looked them over before waving them through the gate. Dew let out his breath in a huge rush, as Rain chanced a quick look back at him from the front making sure he was ok. He just nodded and they continued.
The next two gates went much the same, they had one more gate to get through and get to the vehicle Rain and Aether had secreted away nearby. This gate would be the hardest. Rain and Aether were prepared for it, they knew from friends that the guards were all tasked with making sure both Dewdrop and Eidolon stayed on the grounds since they were out of Ifrit’s sight for most of the day. Anyone who was found to have let them past, would be dealt with. Swiftly and deadly, so it behooved them to do their job well, paying attention to the smallest detail.
When they approached the last guard, Rain again handed him the papers. The guard asking more indpeth questions than the prior three before asking Rain to remove his hood, which he did without hesitation. When he moved down the line to ask Dew to remove his hood and ask him some question, Rain quickly spoke up and said both him and the next person were mute and unable to answer, but he nodded at Dew and Eidolon to remove their hoods. Hesitantly Dew pulled his back, ready for the alarm to sound, but all the guard did was take a quick look before telling them they could pull their hoods back up. When he got to Aether, he saw he handed him back the papers and took a small envelope back from him at the exchange. He waved them through the gate, making eye contact with Rain and Aether once more before turning back to his task and nodding for the next group to approach.
As they moved through the fields in a light jog, rushing to get to the car, Rain took Dew’s hand in his pulling him along, telling him it wasn’t much further. When he stumbled, he put his arm around Dew’s waist to help him along. The further they ran, the more Dew could feel his energy depleting, it had been so long since he was able to move like this, it was to be expected. The third time he stumbled, Rain looked back at Aether, who came forward quickly, crouching in front of the duo and telling Dew to climb on. Dew looked at him increndulously, he was not going to let him carry him. When Aether asked if he would rather they get caught, then accept help, he shut his mouth and climbed on. Rain fell in step behind them, making sure Eidolon was ok as they continued their trek.
In about another mile they made it to the car, Aether letting Dew down and putting him in the back seat, Rain quickly took the seat beside him after helping Eidolon in the passenger seat as Aether took the wheel. The silence in the car was thick as the car was put in motion. After many minutes of tense quiet Dew could visibly see Rain and Aether calm down and relax. They must have been far enough away from immediate danger.
“Where are we going?” Dew asked from the backseat.
“Somewhere safe until we can secure passage back to the surface.”
Somewhere safe turned out to be a few hours away at a friends house, someone Rain knew from his village. Somewhere Ifrit wouldn’t think to look. The friend had many acres of land around a large lake, thick forrest surrounding them. Dew learned the friend wasn’t there and wasn’t expected back for a few days, giving them the privacy to regroup and reconnect. When Rain asked him where he wanted to sleep, Dew knew Rain was asking if he wanted him in the same room to sleep in. Eidolon was a room down, with Aether across the hall, Dew told Rain the first room was fine for them.
He could feel the bone deep tiredness that was rapidly making his way across his body, he knew that him and Rain had to talk, but they both knew that tonight was not the time for a conversation. Rain watched Dew as he pulled back the covers on his side of the bed before getting in. Dew had gone to the bathroom connected to the room to change out of his other clothes into an offered sleep pants and t-shirt. Opting not to let Rain see the bruises and bites on his body, he didn’t miss Rain’s eyes tracking him across the room. Rain followed his lead, changing in the bathroom before crawling under the covers next to Dew’s warm body, he didn’t know if he should reach out and hold him, if Dew would want that or not. He laid facing Dew watching his chest rise and fall, rather than looking at him in the face.
Timidly, he whispered out, “Can I hold you?”
He saw the flash of pain pass across Dew’s eyes before he nodded. Rain put his arm out along the pillow, showing Dew it was up to him what he allowed. Dew rolled over, his back facing Rain as he pushed his body into his side. Rain could feel his rapid heartbeat through his back, he ran his hand along his hair. He watched as Dew’s breathing got shallower and shallower, his heartbeat never slowing down though. Rain couldn’t sleep at first, he had the constant thought of, how much did Ifrit hurt him? How much did he break him? Will he ever be the same? Rain cried silent tears for what he knew him and Dew had already lost.

Look at you. sitting in a bar on a
saturday night drinking alone. you thought it was pathetic, but you had one hell of a day and a drink is just what you needed.
You sip on your beer as you play with a piece of paper that came from a straw.
"is this seat taken?." a gruff voice asked from behind you.
You turn to look at where the voice came from and once you did your eyes roam over his features.
Black hair, ice blue eyes, but what really caught your attention was his skin.
Patched together by...staples?.
You thought it was weird but you being you, you didn't question it.
"no, go ahead" you tell him and he takes a seat next you. You take a long swig of your beer as you finish the bottle after you finished you set it aside and flag down the bartender motioning him to your empty bottle hinting you want another. Your eyes follow his movements as he sets another one in front of you, popping off the top.
you give him a nod as you take a sip from it.
"tough day?."
the man besides you asked and you nod to him "yeah it wasn't the best" you respond back a sigh leaving your mouth as you tear up the little piece of paper you've been playing with.
"mind if i buy you a shot?." he asks and you look at him
"why do you want to do that?" you ask, curious. You watch his mouth pull into a small smirk as he looks at you.
"you just..seem like you had a rough day, figured i could help by getting you a shot, on me." he tells you but in all honesty he's just looking for someone to bring home to his bed for the night.
it's been a while since he felt that type of relief and he was hoping you'd fall into it.
You look at him for a bit before responding.
"i could use a shot." you respond your own smirk dancing onto your lips. You know what he's doing, and to be honest you were looking forward to it. He was a really good looking guy and you hoped he was wasn't terrible in bed, but by the looks of it he seems to know what he's doing.
his smirk widens as he orders the two of you shots.
You watch him grab the little glass as he brings it up to his lips, throwing his head back and downing the shot his expression not changing in the slightest bit from the alcohol.
"your turn." he motions towards your glass.
you grab it and just as he did you throw your head back and take the shot a little bit off the alcohol spilling from the glass and down your chin to your neck, but the blue eyed man never took his eyes off of you. In fact watching you down that shot and not make a face at the strong liquor just so happened to turn him on.
It was a stupid thing to get turned on by but he couldn't help it.
"so..were are we doing this?" you ask him getting straight to the point.
"uh..what?" he asked, he was thinking you'd be the type to make him butter you up all night before he took you home.
"are we having sex in your car or at your place?" you ask your bluntness making his dick twitch in his pants. Most the girls he did things with took him half the night to convince them to come back home with him, but you.. you must really want it just as bad as he did.
"we're going back to my place, doll." the nickname made you shiver as you stand, pulling your dress down in the process.
"well..guess we better get going then yeah?" you tell him a smile on your face as you lay some money on the bar, he does the same before he grabs your hands and takes you to his car.
it's been a while since you've done anything intimate, but you preferred doing these things with someone you didn't know. It kept things neutral making things less complicated between you and the person, that is until they start calling you after the night you had together previously, but you solve that problem with the block button and go on about your day. and as you get into this random mans car the fact that he could kill you right now never crossed your mind. the alcohol in your veins wouldn't let you. You just kept your eyes on him as you watch his arms flex slightly whenever he turns the wheel, you didn't even notice when you arrived to his house until  the car stopped and he was opening the car door for you, and leading you inside his place.
"nice place.." you tell him and he laughs a little.
"thanks..my sister helped me with it." he tells you as he grabs your hand and leads you down the hall to his room.
You two stand infront of each other before he decided to make the first move.

Summary: It's as if Eijirou gives off pheromones, and his friends are bloodhounds for it. Denki sits up a little straighter on the floor. Hanta, his head resting on one of Eijirou’s thighs, stiffens his back just a bit, almost bringing his head off that thigh so as not to spook Eijirou into thinking he can’t touch himself if someone’s head is too close. They all have to be strategic with their big guy. They have to be patient, and make sure he’s feeling good, before they can pounce.

I haven’t had the chance to write because school has been beating my ass, so here’s some shippy nonsense for y’all, I’ve said before that I’ll probably not put Azula in a relationship, just because I’m not sold on any of these ships and also shipping her with anyone would narrow my already niche audience, but here’s some art anyway! :))

1 | Thoughts from the Hardening Hero
Pairing: Various MHA x Fem!Reader
Dear Departure
"Seriously, I can't believe this is our last night before graduation," Kirishima sighs as he walks with his hands crossed casually behind his head, one of his best friends beside him.
"I can," Sero scoffs. "We've all been waiting for this, but it feels like we just got back from winter break! I'm gonna miss UA, though," he adds a little more seriously, turning his attention to the dorm building where the two can already hear loud music booming from.
It's a bittersweet feeling, knowing that the school year is almost over. Tomorrow the graduating class of 3-A will officially be leaving the high school, and going their separate ways.
"Are you, uh, going to tell her how you feel?" Sero then asks softly, noticing how Kirishima almost instantly stiffens up at the question.
"I mean, I...I want to, yeah. I don't know, it might ruin our friendship, y'know?"
Sero gives a soft snort. "If anything, I think Y/N will be the one more upset. You know how she feels about you, and yet, you haven't said anything. Don't you think that's kinda rude?"
"Well, I, no! Of course not, I just—I'm just scared, y'know? God, this is more complicated than I could have ever imagined," Kirishima mutters as they approach the building, the music growing louder.
"Maybe this party will help clear your mind, eh?" Sero gives him a nudge in the ribs, a playful grin on his face. "Just make sure you talk to Mina. And maybe Y/N."
"Y/N, too?"
"Why not?"
Kirishima doesn't answer, not quite sure what to say. The two head inside, the bass thumping so loudly that Kirishima can feel it in his chest.
Actually, that's not true. He knows exactly what to say, he just doesn't know how to phrase it. He knows how hard Y/N's breakup was for her. He had heard all about it from both Mina and Bakugou. But if he did blurt everything out to Sero, he'd probably mention Y/N's new feelings for Todoroki which for sure would ruin Sero's night. He has, after all, tried to win her over since day one at U.A..
It's too complicated, he ends up telling himself as he allows Sero to lead him over to the kitchen where Momo has laid out only the finest of liquor for the occasion.
"You look like you could use a drink," Kaminari says with a smirk, sliding a shot of vodka across the counter towards him. "You've got this weird look on your face. Wait, you're not already drunk, are you?"
"He's not," Sero assures him, patting him on the shoulder as he passes right by. "We just came back from talking with Mr. Aizawa."
"Aizawa?" Kaminari repeats. "About what?"
"None of your business," Kirishima says with a laugh, downing his drink quickly and shuddering. "Ugh. I need to work my way up to this stuff, man. How much have you had?"
"Wait, why is it none of my business? Are you planning a surprise for me because you didn't think I'd actually graduate?" Kaminari grins a bit too widely.
"Geez, you seriously do too much," Sero shakes his head, laughing as he takes the bottle of vodka from him. "So, how are things going with you and Jirou?"
"Hey, give that back!" Kaminari calls, ignoring the question.
"Look, we only went to Mr. Aizawa to talk to him about our futures, okay? Not everything is a conspiracy against you," Kirishima laughs. "I can't wait to see where we end up. It's kind of scary, though."
"Oh, I know! I heard some of us already have jobs lined up but, shit, I've got nothing right now," Kaminari grumbles as he finally grabs the bottle back.
"Then maybe you do really need to be drunk tonight," Sero laughs.
"Oh fuck off, Sero."
Kirishima shakes his head. "I can't believe this is actually happening," he muses, mostly to himself, as he looks around the room.
"You'll be fine," Kaminari assures him, leaning on the counter and staring into the cup in his hand. "Fat Gum and Suneater love you. He's probably just waiting for the right moment to propose."
"You're such an idiot," Kirishima rolls his eyes, holding out the small shot glass and waiting for Kaminari to pour him another round. Meanwhile, Sero grabs his own and joins in.
"I'll be right back," Kaminari grins as he places the bottle back down. "I've got to use the bathroom."
"Hey, if you see Bakugou, let him know I'll be here, okay?" Kirishima calls after him.
Kaminari flashes him a thumbs-up as he disappears.
Sero leans against the counter, his lips twisted into a smirk as he glances towards the stairs. "So, you're going to talk to him first, huh?"
"You know, Kaminari may be an idiot but you're an even bigger one," Kirishima chuckles, shaking his head. "But, yeah, I'd like to talk to him before anything else. Besides, I wouldn't want him getting the wrong idea about anything."
"Mmm, smart," Sero grins as he spots someone across the room that catches his eye. Kirishima turns around to confirm his hunch about who it is, but it's too late. "I'll catch you later, bro."
"Yeah, have fun," Kirishima chuckles as his friend leaves him to walk over and disappears into the crowd.
The redhead sighs softly as he watches him go. He wonders if Sero is going to find the guts to talk to Y/N tonight. He hopes he does.
"Ah, Kirishima," a voice suddenly calls.
Kirishima glances up just in time to see Aoyama walking over gleefully. "Bonjour! You look dazzling tonight."
"Really?" Kirishima chuckles. "Cause that's honestly not how I'm feeling."
"Oh, but mon cher, you are always shining bright! It is what we admire about you," Aoyama insists with a grin.
"Thanks, but I think you're giving me a bit too much credit," Kirishima smiles sheepishly. Suddenly, he doesn't feel all that well. He's only taken two shots so it most likely isn't the alcohol, but his stomach is telling him otherwise.
"Hey, uh," Kirishima mutters as he slaps his hand over his mouth. "Think you could clear a path to the bathroom?"
Aoyama nods, looking a bit concerned. "But of course!"
And as he pushes his way through the crowd, Kirishima can't help but feel relieved. His stomach churns as he makes his way to the stairs, feeling dizzy as he practically runs down the hallway.
As soon as he opens the door and sees the toilet, he falls to his knees, gripping the sides of the bowl. His body shivers as thoughts begin to overwhelm him. Why is everything so messy? Kirishima of all people shouldn't be the one struggling to decide what he wants.
His whole life, he's made it a goal to stay true to his convictions. So why can't he bring himself to confess? He knows who he has strong feelings for. He's had these feelings for years, and they never faded away.
Maybe that's why he's so hesitant. He doesn't want to hurt the others involved.
Bakugou.
Mina.
Y/N.
Sero.
By making one of them potentially happy, he'll have to crush the others' feelings.
But, he figures, he can't just keep it a secret forever. He's already waited until the literal last night.
Kirishima stands back up, taking a deep breath before walking back to the sink to wash his hands. This is a stupid game he's been playing, and he knows it. He's the only one left to blame.
