AWA Studios announces a new thriller from J. Michael Stracynski, The Madness #comics #comicbooks
What happens when a young woman gifted with great powers breaks bad after her family is wiped out on orders from the government because she has become too “inconvenient?” Artists, Writers, and Artisans (AWA) answers that question with The Madness, an original, complex, psychological revenge thriller, launching on Wednesday, August 9. Teaming up with superstar artist, ACO, legendary comics creator…
I don't even know what to say. I think we can all agree that Lando deserved so much better than this. This whole race has been so stupid from the start, but I never thought we'd see anything like this. I can't put into words how scared I was watching him spin out and crash, but I am so, so happy that he got out of the car okay.
It was a nightmare race from the start, to be honest. There was a controversial interaction with Verstappen and Leclerc right at the first corner, with the former pushing the latter off the track to take the lead, as well as contact being made between Hamilton and Alonso in front of Lando, which forced him wide to avoid the debris.
But it was in lap 3 where everything went wrong. It looks like he tried to brake, but the rear axel became locked, and due to the lack of grip on the track, he spun out and crashed into the wall. It was terrifying watching his car spark so much and crash so aggressively. It took a long time for my heart to calm down, I still feel a bit on edge now.
I don't really know what to say. At this point, the last update I heard was that Lando had been transferred to the hospital after visiting the medical centre just as a "precautionary" measure, although they think he is okay. I really hope he will be okay after that crash.
(Edit: We now know that Lando is okay and was discharged from the hospital and returned to the team to attend a debrief. I'm so glad that he is okay 🧡)
This is not at all the result Lando deserved, and it doesn't represent his racing ability at all. But to be honest, everything about this track is just ridiculous, and with the terrible conditions and terrible organisation, it's more down to luck than skill to perform well here. This race is one to forget in my eyes. I have full faith in Lando that he will come back stronger in the final race of the year.

"Cullen and Mike have both worked on some of the biggest series in modern comics but Red Zone is unlike anything readers have seen from them before. Together they have brought to life a spy thriller that is guaranteed to get readers’ pulses racing and we can’t wait to see how the fans react," adds chief creative officer Axel Alonso. Red Zone by me and @cullenbunn will be on sale on March 1 https://www.instagram.com/p/CmUE3KXOIzo/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Market Research Says 46.67% of Comic Fans are Female
"WHILE WE DON’T HAVE ANY MARKET RESEARCH, THE EYES DON’T LIE. IF YOU GO TO CONVENTIONS AND COMIC BOOK STORES, MORE AND MORE FEMALE READERS ARE EMERGING. THEY ARE STARVED FOR CONTENT AND LOOKING FOR CONTENT THEY CAN RELATE TO."
– AXEL ALONSO, MARVEL’S EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
"...Every month, I release new numbers looking at data readily available to anyone through Facebook. While it’s not necessarily everyone who shops up to comic shops, every Wednesday, regularly, irregularly, once in a blue moon, etc., these are people who have said they like “comics,” “graphic novels,” “manga,” and specific publishers. So, I’d have to disagree with Alonso, there is market research, and there potentially is a lot more market research using data available to Marvel, they just overlook it, or don’t admit they use it (Marvel, give me a call, I can hook you up).
In February, the Facebook universe of self-identified comic fans grew to a new high of over 24 million fans in the United States. Of that 24 million, women account for 46.67% of that population. Since I’ve been tracking these stats, that’s the highest percentage of women recorded. With some changes on Facebook’s end, I can now see what terms have grown from the previous month, and in this case it wasn’t any single term, it was many of the over 100 used to compile the statistics...."
