A baby arrived today, a cute little white cat by @walloyamorring
And I did the unthinkable and... I customised him 🫣
I'm not gonna lie, halfway through I thought: "This was a bad idea. You're ruining it. You're ruining this perfectly good cat baby just because you had this stupid idea. Why did you do this?? Just for a stupid joke?!"
But then I looked at the cute mustache cat and... yes, it is a stupid joke, but man, it's a stupid joke that made me giggle all the way while painting this cutie 🥹😅

Cats and big dolls
I expected the "Holy crap that doll is HUGE!" responses. What I did not expect was how my cats would react.
Traitor.
THEY DON'T EVEN FEED YOU.
I don't care how many times you head-butt her. She's never going to pet you.
Cats are dicks.

Commission 2/2
This cute little Luts ZuZu Delf Corni on the Zuzu Delf Minimi body in Zuzu white skin is one of two I painted, along with their little resin pedestals. I'm really loving these new white eyelashes I got in that have white instead of black bases/strips.
Want to see more of my work or commission me? Then please check out my website at www[dot]IzasFaceUps[dot]com!

BJD Maintenance - you can wash them
Big caveat here: if you use a water-soluble sealant (like Army Painter), or if your blushing isn't sealed, you may wash off your sealant or blushing.
But yeah - these dolls can be washed. BJDs are made of resin, and resin is porous. Over time, from handling the dolls, or from just sitting around, they collect dust, or oils from your hands will stick to the resin.
There's no need to dump the whole doll into a bucket of soapy water (unless you want to), and if you do - please remove the elastic and s-hooks first. Otherwise, you're going to have a mess.
A microfiber cloth or a soft, old T-shirt works just fine. Get it wet with warm (or cold if you hate your hands) water, a tiny drop of plain liquid soap (hand or dish soap), and give that body a good, gentle wipe down. Rinse out the soap, or get a second cloth wet, to wipe off the soap, and then either let air dry or use a soft towel to dry. If the doll is blushed with something like MSC, don't use pressure, and don't scrub, or you may remove the sealant and blushing. Use an old, soft toothbrush to remove dirt between crevices, like the toes.
I don't mind washing used dolls. I do get a chuckle when the seller takes a figurative bath on the price, when a literal bath would have probably made the doll worth more.
Your dolls need a light wipe down at least once a year. If not, the dirt can become embedded in the pores of the resin, which will result in staining.
Wash your dolls, y'all!
