Book Cover Design

I'm working on a new cover design for a lovely independent authors live sorry. It's a short book of only about 50 pages that highlights her path from a troubled past of questionable choices to redemption healing that aided her in rekindling her relationship with her father.

This is a true passion project for her so it was important that the cover design included a pic of herself with her hand covering a portion of her face that supports her title "Concealed - Finding Hope While Hiding Pain".

She is a referral from a client I worked for many years ago who felt that I could create an impactful cover design, like I had done for her. In honor of her trust in me and known the back story of this particular author I agreed not only to work with her but to do so as a price deduction.

Due to the price discount I choice to design only 1 comp in hopes that the author would like it & she does. Work still needs to be done on the back cover that is currently on hold while I wait on receiving additional content.

Nu Mixed Digital Artworks

For the last several weeks I, like so many other artist, have been struggling w/ creative block - I've had the desire to creative something new and interesting but inspiration has eluded me until recently -

Playing around with a mixed medium style I've used in the past I found myself experimenting with the combination of digital mediums when suddenly something interestingly unique started evolving I am really intrigued by and feedback from the 1st of this series, that I originally posted on my personal page that generated favorable responses from those who know me best -

Impact Report Design & Layout

I've recently had the pleasure of volunteering my graphic design services to the non-profit Rising Sun to create their annual impact report. Rising Sun is a California bases organization whose mission is to educate and provide low income communities training and placement in "green" industries.

My contact Alex Sisk was awesome to work with. She clearly indicated what content needed to go where, provided clear instructions and edit requests throughout the layout development process.

America’s Warrior Partnership Annual document

I have the honor to be designing the 2019 State of the Organization multipage document for the America’s Warrior Partnership (AWP) - The AWP is the parent organization (at least that is my understanding) that oversees, supports and guides the various non-profit programs that offer benefits to our solders, their families and communities -

The cover design is a patriotic celebration of service and community - The subtile movement within the flag gives interest and focus while the community holding hands visually illustrates the power of everyone coming together -

The Octopus’s Garden - Logo Design

I rarely have the opportunity to design creatively unique logos but when I do I reveal in the creative process - The challenge to transform a clients brand name from and idea to and identity that they are as passionate about as the company/service/product they are launching can often be challenging -

With that I introduce you to "Ari the Octopus" the new brand icon/logo for my client R.A.L. Phillips who along w/ 3 other women are launching "The Octopus's Garden" - A company whose goal/purpose/objective is to aid girls in impoverished areas such as Haiti, Antigua and other international areas -

While open to the style and design options she did request a Purple to Turquoise color scheme - As the logo design was developing it occurred to me that the brand name required a tagline to better identify to consumers who/what/why of what the company is about in a single statement so I conceived the current tagline as a placement while Ruth conceptualizes a more effective permanent line -

I’m proud to state that my client R.A.L Phillips stated upon seeing, what turned out to be the final design "I love it" and I admit, so do I!

The Steinway-Designed Boston

Recently I worked on 2 - 7x5" product price tags and a 8.5x11" flyer for NJ based Steinway & Son's dealer Robert Rinaldi that highlight the 1992 born "Steinway Designed Boston" piano -

An essential aspect of the Overhead Soundboard layouts was the updating the existing piano image color scheme through Abode Photoshop editing tools to reflect the new model color combination. The final impact is flawless
