I've just realised that this was READY and I just forgot to post it... My head is getting worse every day... lol
So sorry for the delay, but here it is the preview I promised all the way in December *hides*.
I hope you enjoy it.
***
Bell laid her head on Thorin’s shoulder, breathing in his scent. Her body relaxed as the sweat cooled down on her skin. The dwarf pulled her tighter against his body, so he could hold her properly.
Silly, soft old dwarf.
There was something about him that also made Bell silly and soft. She couldn’t deny that this scared her a bit, not only because of the strength and speed of her feelings, but also because their future was complicated.
As Thorin had reminded her earlier, she might become a Queen -of a dwarven kingdom, no less. She had no idea how that would work. Would the dwarves respect her? Would they resent the fact she wasn’t one of them? Were dwarven Queens expected to do something? Would she be just an extension of Thorin?
Would they even succeed in this quest? What if they didn’t?
There were so many questions and not enough answers, and this scared her a lot. Bell was steady and careful -sudden quests a part, of course. She wasn’t used to doing things without thinking carefully about them. Besides, life in the Shire wasn’t exactly full of unexpected adventures, so her life was boring and quite predictable.
There was nothing predictable about their future now.
“I can hear you thinking.” Thorin said, his voice a low grumble.
“Yes?” She grinned against his shoulder. “What am I thinking about?”
“You are thinking about the future.” He rubbed circles on her back. “I should not have said anything about you being a Queen.”
That made her sigh. “Yes, you should. It is a possibility, and I cannot ignore it.” Thorin became quiet, and Bell had to ask, “What will you do if… If you fail?”
His body tensed slightly, and the silence became heavy, a living thing between them. She thought he’d never answer.
“I do not know.” He said, his voice heavy with so much emotion and doubt. “I do not know who I am besides a King with no crown and no kingdom.”
Bell pushed herself up, so she could look directly into his face. She cupped her cheek. “You are Thorin Oakenshield: a good dwarf, a great uncle, and a fearless leader. You are so much more than a prince or a king, Thorin.” She dropped her forehead against his. “If I am to become a Queen I will need you to guide me. However, if the Fates have something else in store for us, then I need to know that I will get to keep you.”
He exhaled slowly against her mouth, his eyes closing. “Will you take me to your house in the Shire? Bake me an apple pie and make me walk barefoot?”
She sighed in relief. “Yes, to all of that, my love.”
Maybe the future was uncertain, but maybe Bell didn’t need to feel so afraid anymore.

Okay. So last night I had a a dream about reading a The Hobbit fanfic that doesn't exist. It was really good so I wrote it down. Here is my summary/dream diary entry of the fic.
---
Okay, so a Female Bilbo Baggins (Bella) finds Fili and Kili after a storm or something. And invites them into her home even tho she has been trying to avoid dwarves. Because they look young and so miserable.
She sits them down, gets them dry clothes and hot chocolate. Bag End looks a bit different here, might not even be Bag End actually. It has a second floor. Actually, I'm not sure if the lady is a hobbit or not. Or Bilbo. But her name is Bella.
Anyways, Fili and Kili are quite young, not of age yet. Well. Kili isn't of age yet. Bella takes care of them and then there's kinda a time skip thing and she reads them a bedtime story. Idk what the story was about. Except for the fact that fili and kill we're able to 'sense' per say, that Erebor was in the story and it was lighter feeling than when everything about the Blue Mountains and Thorin's stories.
Anyways, so there's some kind of magic. Cause she asks the two "you can sense it?" or something like that. So she brings out a book and tells them the story.
I'm not sure if the story is the flashback or it's just a flashback but there is a flashback/vision that happens. It's Bella and Thorin in a field with Erebor in the background clasping each other's hands and looking at each other adoringly. Bella is wearing a flowy green dress and barefoot in it. And from before Smaug came.
So, after she tells the story. She sends the boys to bed. There's a time skip and the boys are awake and downstairs sitting in the couch again. And then there is some sort of time skip/narration thing that happens. Idk really. It talks about how Bella could not go find Thorin for fear if the Darkness finding her and her child(?) who is in fact Thorin's kid. Then it does a flashback/narration thing that shows Thorin, Dwalin, and Dís in the Eru Luin and how they're mourning Bella in different ways. Cause they think she's dead. Can't really remember what Dwalin does but it involves weapons. Thorin seems to build and stare at the ceiling a lot. And Dís cries when she's alone.
Then it goes back to the present and Bella telling Fili and Kili to be quiet while she goes gets her daughter to show them. While this is happening Fili and Kili discuss her and the magic vibes she has and how sad she seems.
Then I woke up. The end.

would you believe me if I told you this post is like a year old by now 💀
so okay listen. I meant to post this, yeah? but I wanted to redraw two more frames and make it into a short comic redraw thing. but life caught up to me and I ended up making only the first frame. at this point, I’ve accepted I’ll probably never get to the other two so I decided to just post this one since I spent so much time working on it and I’d hate for it to just sit in the drafts forever :’)
so yeah here’s some art I did back in April 2023 :)

Chapter 20
Misty Mountains, July 14th, 2941
Things were -quite obviously -not very good at the moment. And Kíli and Fíli weren’t even thinking about the fact that Thorin had somehow managed to find the biggest, thickest stick possible in Middle Earth and shoved it right up his arse.
His mood had been foul since they left Rivendell and the brothers had no idea why.
The more they tracked through the mountains, the worse it got.
But it wasn’t just that.
Something had happened between Miss Baggins and Balin, because now she avoided him as much as she avoided Thorin. The halfling was constantly near Dwalin, which was kind of strange, because Kíli and Fíli couldn’t think of anyone less comforting than the big dwarf.
Therefore, something was afoot, and they wanted to fix it.
Someone would have to be way stupider than they were to not have noticed how often Thorin came out of Bluebell’s bedroom while they were in Rivendell. Obviously, whatever intimate relationship they had from before, they were rekindling it.
Master Dori and Master Glóin told them to not open their mouths, because it wasn’t any of their business and Miss Baggins deserved their respect.
But obviously, they all knew about that.
However, now… Thorin and Bell weren’t talking to each other, and that wouldn’t do. They liked the hobbit, and they thought she could make their uncle really happy.
They wanted her to be their aunt.
For Thorin’s happiness, of course. It had nothing to do with her cooking.
Nobody had even mentioned it.
Decision made, they needed to corner their uncle as soon as possible.
It took them a while, but once they finally got Thorin alone, they wasted no time.
The two brothers had lost their father a long time ago; so long ago that his memory was faint to them. Fíli sometimes pretended he remembered more of him, just to give his mother some comfort and Kíli some inspiration. The truth was not so simple.
Fíli didn’t know if he had real memories of his father, or if all that he remembered were things he’d been told by others. The colour of his father’s hair, his hands carrying him, his voice singing him lullabies… Kíli barely remembered any of it.
The oldest brother remembered his mother crying, mostly because she spent years trying to recover from the loss of her great love. He never told anyone that, but Thorin just knew it.
His uncle was the first one to offer him comfort in a way that had nothing to do with his father or his mother. When Thorin put a hand on his shoulder and said, “I know this is hard for you. It is alright if you do not remember him. The only thing you need to remember is that he loved you”, Fíli finally found someone who saw his own pain and loss.
Thorin understood better than anyone else what it was like to be the one left to take on the responsibilities. One day, that would be Fíli, since he was also his uncle’s heir.
Thorin would never claim to be a father to them, but to Fíli and Kíli he was the only one they actually knew.
So if they could help their uncle to be happy -even just a bit -they would.
They’d be really careful and tactful about it as well.
“When are you going to marry Miss Baggins?” Or Kíli could just ask what they both wanted to know.
Thorin looked from one of his nephews to the other, and sighed. The two lads had sat on each of his sides, and they clearly wanted answers.
Answers that Thorin couldn’t give because he didn’t know them. “Lads…”
“What Kíli meant to say…” Fíli cut in, glaring at his brother, “Is that we like Miss Baggins and we think you do too.”
Thorin almost snorted. Liked her. Right. Yes… He liked her.
“It is not that simple.” He finally said.
“Why?” Kíli pressed.
“Because…” Thorin didn’t want to have this conversation with the lads. They meant well -he was sure of it -but they were young and green. How could they even understand what he was going through?
It was simply a case of loving someone or not. It wasn’t just because Bell was avoiding him and he was avoiding her. It had little to do with the looks Balin and Dwalin kept throwing his way.
Mahal’s sake, it didn’t even have to do with his kingdom and that fucking dragon. And the fact that it took him this long to even consider that part of this journey when it came to her was shameful.
He claimed to love her and yet here he was, putting her at risk.
He was greedier than he thought before.
“It is hard to explain.” He finally told them. “I know why you ask me what you do. Unfortunately, there are many things to be considered, and what I want is just one of them.”
Fíli frowned. “You do not think Miss Baggins would want to marry you? Because she said she would never marry?”
“Maybe she has changed her mind!” Kíli pressed before he could even say anything else.
“I wish it was so, Kíli.” He put a hand on his nephew’s shoulder. “I truly do. And, most of all, I wish it was just a matter of her changing her mind.”
***
When the rain started falling, Thorin’s nerves were already frayed. The passage through the mountains was narrow and the way could hardly be called a path. The rain certainly didn’t help, but they were having problems even before that.
The thoughts he’d been fighting against -the doubts, questions and the fear -had been piling up for days -since he’d heard Elrond questioning his ability to deal with his family’s sickeness. He often felt as if he was left completely alone with these thoughts and without a way to do anythgin about them.
He was a King, even if he didn’t have a crown or a kingdom. He was resposnible for his people, he couldn’t just let doubts and fears take over him, but at the same time, he couldn’t just discuss those things with anyone.
Those were his burdens to carry and no one else’s. He should be strong enough to find the answers on his own, he couldn’t make others take in his worries.
Not his nephews, not Balin.
Not Bluebell.
The farther they got from Rivendell, the more he regreted not leaving her behind. This would only get more and more dangerous, and he’d dragged her into this.
He’d dragged them all.
And when the stone giants appeared… He thought he’d lost them all: Fíli, Balin, Dwalin…
Bluebell.
His heart turned into ice when he saw that she’d stayed on the moving giant. When it crashed…
Mahal, he hadn’t felt fear like that since he’d seen his grandfather’s head on the ground.
It was driving him mad. She had almost died! He could have lost her, and then… What would he do?
He’d had to pull her back from the edge, because she’d almost fallen down the side of the mountain! It was not safe, she was not made for this. “She has been lost ever since she left her home”, he yelled when Dwalin said something about losing their burglar. He’d dragged her along because he was selfish and greedy. “She should have never come!” Bluebell deserved to be in her sage home, surrounded by the books and flowers she loved.
“She has no place amongst us.” He said as dark realisation settled on his chest.
Bluebell was better off far away from him. This time, he needed to let her go.

The Hobbit x baby elf reader (both male and female versions.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Age: newborn after the eagles saved them from Azog the Company meets one of the greatest treasures in Middle Earth who happens to be the prince/princess of a rare species of elves.
These are fanfics from my old wattpad account I had trouble with the verification process it won’t let me comment, post or reply so I had to delete it but I managed to start a new with tumblr I saved my fanfics from my old wattpad on the notes app.
Male version:
No one's POV:
The company of Thorin Oakenshield had continued their Journey to Erebor after Thorin had recovered from his injuries. As they are in an open field they are shocked to find what appeared to be a battle field, dead orcs, wargs and elves with normal and unusual hair colors. From the looks of it there were no survivors that is to the eyes of men.
They began picking up the bodies to bury the elves so they can be put to rest but doing so the sound of crying is heard, Bilbo walks over to the dead couple a she elf with silver hair and a fair complexion, holding her protectively was a male elf he assumes is her husband with midnight blue hair and a tan complexion. the crying seems to be coming from them, when he got closer he saw something moving through the she elf's arms "Ohh my." He said gently moving her arms to reveal a bundle of white blanket.
Bilbo managed to remove the bundle from the corpse but when he did so the crying got louder. He moved the blanket reveling to his, the dwarves and Gandalf's surprise a baby elf! A male elf to be precise he looked just like the male they assume was his father but his hair faded to pastel blue at the tips. When Bilbo held him the little boy opened his eyes to reveal that he had two different eye colors, one eye was the color of starlight while the other was the color of amethyst. Thorin was enhanced by those eyes that held so much innocence and curiosity within them. He was a sucker for children and he had heard that elves couldn't reproduce very often like dwarves and that they are very protective of their young like dwarves "By my beard! Your a pretty thing aren't you little one?." Gandalf asked picking up the child who was looking around in curiosity "We should take him with us." Thorin said "Even thought he's an elf he's just a child who just lost he's family." Dwalin said placing a hand on the elflings head earning a squeal from him "What's that on his wee neck?" Ori asked. Gandalf saw a gorgeous silver crescent moon necklace with a sapphire around the boys neck and gasped "A pendant of power. You are the prince of the moonlight elves my boy." Gandalf said holding the boy protectively making the dwarves gasp "I thought they disappeared centuries ago after the war in the first age." Balin said eyeing the necklace around the child's neck "The boy is more special then I thought." Dori said "I think the boy has a name though. Look at his blanket." Oin said pointing to the blanket. Thorin took the corner of the blanket to see a name Y/N engraved in F/C threading "Y/N I like it." Bilbo said smiling fondly at the elfling.
Tumblr media
Not wanting to waist anymore time the company continue their journey to Erebor with their newest addition in Gandalf's arms. The boy was a true angel, he slept the whole night, he was only fussy if he was hungry, needed a change or a nap but he seems to have a severe trauma with orcs after they killed his parents and the guards with them when they saw Orcs on the cliff side.
After they arrived at Beorn's home Y/N seemed to be fond of the skin changer dual to his size "Hello little fawn." Beorn said gently holding Y/N who was squealing from the butterfly on his little nose "Your very energetic Y/N." Beorn said letting out a deep chuckle. The company arrived to Mirkwood in order to get to Erebor but they had to stay on the path. Fili, Kili and Ori were watching Y/N with Fili holding him while the two brothers and youngest dwarf made you laugh.
All was peaceful until the spiders attacked.
Thorin held you protectively after Bilbo cut them all free but Bilbo was no where in sight anymore like he just disappeared and all Morgoth fell lose when the woodland elves came and killed the rest of the spiders and take them in for questioning "My prince they have a child!" one of the elves said taking you from Thorin "What are you doing with a child filth?" The blond asked taking you into his arms! When he did he removed the blanket to see to his surprise that your an elfling "DID YOU KIDNAPPED THIS CHILD?" He shouted to the dwarves upsetting you "Legolas please." A she elf with red hair said "I'm sorry little one." Legolas said gently cradling you thus calming you down "We shall move out." Legolas said carrying you "You have beautiful eyes little one." Legolas said "Look at his hair." A black haired elf said pointing to your midnight blue fading to pastel blue hair making Legolas look at it as well "So unusual." He said running his fingers through your hair while you just poked his cheek in curiosity like the innocent little bean you are "HE'S SO CUTE." A she elf gushed at you making you giggle at the attention you where receiving earning chuckles from the adult elves.
When you reached Mirkwood palace
you received more attention although you didn't like to many eyes on you so you whimpered "What's wrong little one?" Legolas asked hearing and seeing your discomfort "Oh it's ok little brother." He said with a smile 'I hope Ada will be gentle with him.' Legolas thinks to himself walking to the throne room after his father finished interrogating Thorin Oakenshield. Legolas stops in front of massive double doors with two guards blocking them, upon seeing him the guards bowed and opened the door for him. Once he was inside the Throne room Legolas sees his father. King Thranduil sitting on his throne with his signature bored expression until he saw you in his sons arms "That child." Thranduil said in awe getting up from his throne and slowly walking towards you and Legolas. He gently placed his hand on your head making you giggle from how big his hand is compared to your little head earning a small smile from the king as he gently took you from the prince "Where did you come from little one." He asked looking into your starlight silver and amethyst purple eyes until his eyes landed on your necklace "You are of the moonlight elves." He said holding it in his palm as you cooed at him until a growl came from your stomach making you whimper once again "Ohh don't cry little brother." Legolas said while a maid came in with a glass bottle of elks Milk in hand.
Thranduil takes the bottle and begins feeding you then burps you.
With your stomach full you fell asleep in the kings warm arms making him smile warmly at how tiny you are in his arms "Good night little star." He said gently kissing your head as he watches you close your eyes with a little squeak.
The next morning Bilbo managed to free the dwarves and grab you without the elves seeing him with help from his lucky (cursed) ring of course.
Long story short in Laketown Bard and his children love you, When Smaug attacked Sigrid held you the whole time, during the battle of the Five Armies you stayed with the Bardlings, after the battle everyone survives and makes peace, Thranduil adopts you as his new son after Legolas heads out to find Strider, Thorin and Thranduil mended the alliance between Elves and dwarves and as for you. You became the new prince of Mirkwood after Thranduil adopted you and everyone is wrapped around you chubby little finger.

the part where i talk about fanfics...
okay, this is, not difficult for me to talk about, but i know people are touchy about this subject - so i'm just going to say it:
If a fanfiction is not your cup of tea, then don't read it!
it is quite a simple thing to do for most people, however, there is a lot of readers/fandom explorers who go in to read a piece of fanfiction and then hate on it because:
"i headcanon X as gay, so shipping them with Y reader is a no"
"you can only ship X with Y, no other ships or reader inserts or self inserts are valid
"he doesn't like women or she doesn't like men" and vice versa
this is very apparent in most fandoms, dead or thriving, where a character is, in the majority, is headcanoned as something, but there is a minority that doesn't agree.
for example, in the mcu fandom, a lot of people headcanon Steve Rogers aka Captain America, as bisexual. personally, i do not, but i don't go out of my way to hate on people who read the male reader fanfics or the Stucky (Steve Rogers x Bucky Barnes) fics - i've read some and a lot of them are great, tbh.
personally, i like to read and/or write gender neutral reader fics and that is honestly the comfort zone for me - but i know people will disagree and enjoy more gender aligned fics (male or female)
but i digress - in short, let people read what they want to read, if you disagree or do not support a headcanon/ship/trope, please don't ruin the day of enjoyers.
let's not ban certain takes on characters - the world has other worries

Everyone talks about the fact that some Baggins male family names are Largo, Mungo, and Bungo while the female ones are flowers like Lily, Daisy, and Peony, but I feel like no one talks about the fact that Rosie Cotton’s brothers names are Tolman, Wilcome, Bowman, and CARL
