Days 6 + 7: Villain + Alternative Universe! Villain Volo and his henchmen!

Ingo and Emmet are really bad at being evil, and tend to help the protagonists because they’re too nice. Volo is aware, but finds them so endearing, not to mention he’s accidentally fallen in love with Emmet, so he isn’t planning to replace them. The only time Volo really goes full villain is if Emmet gets hurt.

Ok but I’m OBSESSED with the parallels between Emmet and Ingo and Truth and Ideals!

The twin dragons theory with Ingo and Emmet supposedly representing them (and this whole PLA time travel business which might connect the twins to the myths even further) has always been such a fascination of mine! No matter which dragon you contribute to each of the twins since I’ve seen people make arguments for either, there’s no denying that there is a connection when they are both twins and represent/match the dragons colors!

In the possession au’s case, Emmet’s Ideals are so strong that he will make them into the Truth. The Ideal that he can stop fate, the Ideal that he can salvage his relationship with his brother, the Ideal that he will not fail.

Latest song: Ancestors by FIA, anything by Aurora or Sleeping At Last.

Favourite color: ice blue and pastel pink. But almost every dhaelde is nice. I love the colors of nature dark greens and soothing blues. Silvers and whites. I can't pick I love colors so much.

Last tv show/movie: uhhhhh hunter x hunter I guess? I am really more of a book reader, in that case I read the newest chapter of my hero this morning and am rereading the riordenverse right now in preparation to watch the pjato TV show.

Sweet/Savoury/Spicy: I want my treats to be sweet AND savory! Like candied pretzels! Or pepermint bark with flakes salt yuuummmm. I can't really do spiciness though.

Relationship status: married to my absolutly beautiful wife!

Last search: how to repair your busted water pipes on your own (lol. My water pipe did not survive the freeze up here in the north western area of Texas. If anyone has any advice let me know lol)

Current obsession: Surviving is a good answer. I am between hyperfixations at the moment, though.

✨ A fic you wish you could read again for the first time

Without a doubt, I'm going with Virtuoso by RainTemple. It's a serial-killer Midoriya AU, where he discovers a wicked Quirk lying dormant inside him. The descriptions and writing are terrific, and it's so cool to see just how cold and calculating Midoriya is. Everything is done so well, I highly recommend it.

😂 A fic that made you laugh out loud

There are three fics/series that come to mind, two only a step above crackfics.

The first is called Crossed Wires by therapizedbakugou. A coffee shop/doctor AU, where Dr. Bakugou is deaf (with hearing aids) and occasionally flirts with barista Kirishima in sign language. The issue is, Bakugou doesn't know that Kirishima knows sign language and knows every lewd thing he's saying.

The series Here Lies Shouta's Hopes And Dreams by drifting_manatee (or really anything by manatee; their stuff is FABULOUS). The first fic in the series involves Aizawa giving The Talk™ to 1A, and the second is where the teenagers pair up and have to keep a baby doll 'alive'. Unsurprisingly, some are horrendous 'parents'.

Finally, the Personality Swap AU series by BelleAmant. I have not read all the fics in this series, but the ones I have read had me howling with laughter! Aizawa issues an assignment where everyone in 1A is assigned to dress and act like another classmate at random, to the best of their ability. Naturally, Midoriya's borderline-neurotic note-taking comes in handy and helps him excel at this assignment and future opportunities.

😭 A fic that ripped your heart out (but it hurt so good)

Aw fuckkkkkk, this story was so heartbreaking. Every time I read it, I always start crying. It's The Way I Behaved by ForTheWoolfy. So much heartbreaking Erasermic! It's a great cross between a Villain Mic AU and a Coffee Shop AU. Aizawa is a tired barista by day and a tired hero by night. Mic is a technical genius villain who both falls for and wants to defeat Aizawa. I can't help crying whenever I read it.

Aizawa has come a long way since he first tracked Hizashi down to that cave, looking to slay a dragon to protect people. 

This has been an amazing journey, not only for our EraserMic boys, but for Woolfy and myself as well! All of the comments and encouragement have left me totally speechless, and even as they’re coming in for the epilogue on AO3 I really don’t feel like I have enough words to thank you all.

AU! I’m a sucker for a good AU and the vast majority of all the fics I’ve ever written or read have been AUs of some kind.

🎤fave line in a fic you wrote?

Bold of you to assume I remember a line from any fanfiction I’ve written.

But the one that jumps to mind is

Jon bit his lip. “It’s not that I don’t...” he trailed off. “It just...never really occurred to me.” 

From my TMA one shot “A Difficult Conversation”. Not because I think it’s well written but because that fic as a whole means a lot to me. In fact it’s probably my favourite thing I’ve written. I wrote it as a way to vent about my experiences with asexuality and this line just *condenses* how I experience attraction. Which is to say, I don’t.

💡what inspires your fic ideas?

MUSIC! If a fic of mine is named after a song, it’s probably because I have a scene meticulously planned out like an anime OP in my head to it.
