I really wanted to give depth to the Batman Beyond universe, which I missed so much. For example (God forgive me), the cover of the track features Dana Tan and she works for Powers Tech Corporation. I understand that this is not canon, you have the right to throw stones at me, but I think that this gives depth to this character. In any case, such creativity gives life to the community and I really hope that someday there will be a restart of the series or a feature film will be made. The rest of the album will come later.

Russia is desperate for cannon fodder for its disastrous invasion of Ukraine. So it is apparently recruiting prison inmates to fight as mercenaries for the infamous Wagner Group (AKA: Vagner Group).

In another but related story, a father volunteered to serve in Ukraine after his son was killed there in the early stages of the invasion. What he discovered there was that soldiers had substandard equipment, they weren’t properly trained, and the commanders were shit – when they were actually around. That is almost EXACTLY what Ukraine has been saying about the Russian invaders.

Sadly, Mr. Sadykov’s assessment of the Russian Army will not make it into the Putin-controlled media in Russia. Outside of a small number of Russians with VPNs and those who access Telegram, most people get news exclusively from state TV which glorifies Putin’s war and says nothing about the huge number of Russian war casualties. 

At the current rate, Russian fatalities by the end of 2022 will likely exceed American fatalities in the 20 years of US involvement in Vietnam. Because of a free press, US citizens were able to pressure the government into winding down and ending the Vietnam War. In a dictatorship with a stranglehold on the media, Russians have limited options regarding government policy.
