WEEK 13

Last week, we spent our weekends revising our paper from Chapters 1 to 5 and planned everything for the upcoming Oral Defense. Our Oral Defense is fast approaching, day by day we tend to overthink everything. If we happened to fail the Capstone Project Proposal, all the efforts and sleepless nights spent making our paper will be worthless.

This week was filled with fear as we contemplated the worst-case scenario. The multitude of "what-ifs" in our minds led to stress and overthinking. All of us sacrificed sleep in the remaining days, preparing rigorously for the fast-approaching Oral Defense. As a group, we meticulously planned to ensure thorough readiness and, of course, committed ourselves to doing our best in addressing all questions raised by the panels.

Today is Day 1 of our Oral Defense for the Capstone Project Proposal. It's a nerve-racking experience, and all of us are experiencing mixed emotions. Each group coming out of the room after delivering the verdict among the panels makes us feel nervous. However, after the verdict is announced, we tend to relax, knowing that none of the morning shift presenters failed, and hopefully, this trend continues until the last presenter of the day.

Before our scheduled time, we gather as a group to pray to God and seek His guidance. During the presentation, we ensure to keep ourselves relaxed for a smooth flow and to prevent mental blocks while enjoying the entire experience. After presenting our project, questions and clarifications are raised by the panels, and we are grateful for that because they provide us with ideas about how our system especially the diagrams should be.

After the Q and A session, we exited the room for feedback from the panels. We overthought too much due to the clarifications that we believed might be the reason for the project proposal to fail. Following the panels' feedback, Sir Gulfan called us in for the verdict. We were extremely anxious about the results, and when we heard the phrase "I regret to inform you," we thought we had failed the project proposal.

Thankfully, it was for a clout, and YES! We made it, and we are very grateful. Our era of overthinking has come to an end. All the efforts and sleepless nights we spent revising our papers have become fruitful. Above all, we thank God for everything and for the early Christmas gift we prayed for a long time ago. We are now going to welcome Christmas with happiness because our nerve-racking week for the Oral Defense has come to an end. Lastly, we are also grateful that all the Day 1 presenters passed the Capstone Project Proposal and are rooting for the Day 2 presenters tomorrow to pass as well.

In our class discussions, Sir Gulfan emphasized the significance of a well-prepared presentation. Understanding how to effectively communicate our capstone project is crucial for its success. He walked us through the key points to include in our presentation and provided tips on how to convey our ideas clearly. Moreover, Sir Gulfan has been actively involved in improving our manuscripts. Last week, he dedicated time to correct and guide us on areas that needed revision. This hands-on approach helps us learn and refine our writing skills. With his feedback, we are better equipped to enhance the quality of our papers and meet the academic standards. This engagement with Sir Gulfan not only helps us navigate the capstone proposal process but also provides a unique opportunity for personalized learning. We appreciate the guidance and correction, knowing it contributes to our overall growth as students. As we move forward, we are determined to apply these lessons, ensuring a polished capstone proposal and a successful presentation. As we reflect on the week's activities, the knowledge gained from Sir Gulfan's teachings and corrections has instilled a sense of confidence in us. We understand the importance of clear communication in our presentations and recognize the value of continuous improvement in our writing. Week 12: The Development Progress

Final Topic: Student Palakasan Information System for Supreme Student Council of Mindanao State University at Naawan

Target Client: Supreme Student Council (SSC)

On the 1st of December, the Endeavor group already made a huge progress in building the system dashboard. We are currently working hard in order to meet the expectations of our stakeholder before it will be officially deployed. Kent Cunado, the back-end developer, is collaborating consistently with our front-end developer, James Bryan Balambao.

Jolander Guiral, the project manager of the group, is finalizing and revising the papers as it will become our basis to defend our capstone project on December 15. We are in the middle of completing our tasks as developers.

The Endeavor group remains positive and efficient as much as possible to achieve the desired goal at the end of the day. We are very much thankful to Sir Gulfan who serves as our guardian and supervisor in our capstone project.

Back to the topic, the Endeavor group is one step closer in making the project possible. We are performing our responsibilities one at a time. On the 2nd of December, the Endeavor group conducted an urgent meeting to finalize our Chapter 5.

During the meeting, we are sharing our collective ideas and knowledge to illustrate the design of our system. Before the meeting adjourned, we prayed and hoped that all of our efforts would pay off one day. This is all the things that we can share on Week 12. Stay tuned and God Bless!

Yotaka disguised as dromos on his way to rescue the dragons but Kija attacked him thinking he's enemy. Kija heard bout intruder's execution, Yotaka said it's Yona and Kika was so shock! Yotaka assures him that Vold Argila gonna rescue them, maybe Hak's there too.

Kija can't sense the dragons anymore, the signs disappeared. Jaeha's injured and he thinks it's too dangerous to move further away. They decided to look for Argila's team but instead saw Val VS Gen Hittan. Kija hit Hittan and made him passed out lol

Chagol losing lots of blood but still standing. Hak tells Yona to take Mei and run towards Kouka army and leave the enemies to him.

Yona: Hak let me stay with you. please let me fight.

Hak: when we get back, lemme hear it in more Sexy way/place(?)

Hak/Yona (inner mono): (unsure with my translation here 🫣) 'im gonna live a little longer, ive come this far, im not gonna let you die.'

Gulfan soaring in the sky. they arrive just in time. Infiltration is both Yona and Suwon's plan

Yona asked Suwon to move the troops and light bunch of torches to cover them while infiltrating the camp.

Suwon told Yona that she should also cover Kouka troops. she'll distract them with her torchlight army outside to make them think she'll infiltrate, then quietly send the real annihilation force, wind and fire tribe army behind the encampment.

Suwon told Yona the completion of enclosuring the surrounding is prolly by the dawn, and she should take back Mei by then. Suwon arrives along with Kouka army. Yotaka, Kija and Val also there just in time.

Mei finally saw Val alive and cry. Val said he's so mad and she should never say again that she'll return to his highness (Chagol). Mei answer she'll never say it again and she'll marry Val. lol

Chagol: You came.

Suwon: It's the first time we've met. im sorry I wasn't at Hiryuu Castle when you visited. You asked me to come to Princess Yona's execution, so I did, but... is this... your execution site?

Chagol inner mono: before i knew it, most of the army in the camp had been killed and Princess Yona was the bait that lured me out. this place is my execution ground.

Chagol: how foolish, Kouka resisting against Kai is like an ant against an elephant. You can't control it, a kid like you... in a country this big...

Chagol tried to attack Suwon but Hak slashed him wit his glaive. Gen Ran coming in a horse saves Chagol and run away.

Keishuk: can't believe he escape.

Suwon: with that wound, he shouldn't last long.

Kija said they taken the dragons to the Phoenix palace, they need to go after them asap! Gen Kaji said it's ok bcoz him and Yona took care of all the carriages so that Mei won't be taken away. kaji said most likely the dragons been transported by a carriage too and broken down on the way, so they will never make it to the Phoenix Palace.

Week 9: Moving Forward with Our Campus Clinic System

As we enter Week 9 of our capstone project, we're excited to share our latest updates. Our goal is to create a helpful Campus Clinic Information System for Xavier Academy at Initao, and we're making steady progress.

In Week 8, we simplified our project name to "Campus Clinic Information System for Xavier Academy at Initao." This change makes our mission clear – we aim to build a system that helps the campus clinic run smoothly.

We're grateful for the feedback we've received, especially from Sir Gulfan, which has helped us improve our project's initial chapter. We've also improved our project documentation to make it more reader-friendly.

To make things clearer, we've started working on a flowchart to show how our system will work. This visual tool helps us understand the step-by-step process within our information system.

We've also been using Unified Modeling Language (UML) to create a simple diagram that explains how the system will work for nurses and patients.

Our project documentation continues to grow, showing our dedication to keeping track of our progress and sharing it with others.

We've created a web-based prototype using Canva, which visually demonstrates the main features of our system, like the dashboard, student profiles, inventory management, consultations, registration, analysis tools, and an "about us" section.

Our team, including Hacker Posadas, Hipster Caironisa, and Hustler Bajao, is focused on making our project successful. We're determined to create a useful system for Xavier Academy at Initao, and we're excited about the progress we're making. Week by week, we're building momentum and refining our vision for the project.

Week 7:

This week has continued to be focused on our research papers, and we're relieved that we've managed to complete the quizzes and exams for our other subjects. However, it seems like there are many more upcoming activities to tackle in our next meeting.

During our last meeting on Tuesday, Sir Gulfan provided us with a lesson on diagrams. He mentioned that in our next meeting, which is scheduled for Friday, he will discuss the contents of the upcoming chapters, specifically chapters 4 and 5. To add to our workload, he also returned our Chapter 1 submissions, highlighting the need for several revisions.

As students, we recognize the importance of staying on top of our academic tasks, even when it feels like we have a lot on our plates. With the guidance of our professor, we are determined to navigate these challenging weeks with dedication and a commitment to delivering high-quality research papers.

This week, it's been all about maintaining a laser focus on our research papers. We were delighted to put behind us the quizzes and exams for our other subjects, but it's clear that more academic challenges lie ahead in our next meeting. In our previous class, Sir Gulfan provided us with valuable insights into creating diagrams, setting the stage for our forthcoming discussions about the content of chapters 4 and 5.

WEEK 7: PAPER REVISIONS

Last week, we were assigned to complete Chapter 3: CONCEPTS, THEORIES, AND TECHNICAL BACKGROUND. We collaborated and assigned tasks to finish Chapter 3 successfully. Suggesting, providing ideas, and following instructions helped us comply with the data needed in the chapter. But thankfully, we finished it before the deadline.

This week, we just need to follow and comply with the revisions made by our instructor for this subject. Our instructor read and checked our work in Chapter 1 so that we knew what was missing and needed to be added. Chapter 1 is "Write-up," which is the introduction, background and context of the project, narrative listing, issues and problems, statement of the problem, objective, significance, scope, and limitation of the project, as well as the methodology and summary.

Chapter 1 was returned to us last Tuesday, October 10. During the class, Mr. Gulfan helped us explain most of our mistakes in Chapter 1. Me and my co-member initially started to read all the corrections before we planned again regarding the changes. Also, one of our mistakes is 1.3, which is the narrative listing. We just need to add and complete all the work processes for our client. 

Today, we decided to check all the mistakes in our papers. We had a lot of realizations, especially for constructing the sentence and the choice of words. Since our narrative listing has a lot of mistakes, the issues and problems were affected, and we need to improve the papers so we can easily proceed with the possible revisions in Chapter 2 as well as in Chapter 3.

As of now, we are working again on our narrative listing, including the activity diagram. And also the use-case diagram, which was explained to us by Mr. Gulfan during our class. I hope the revisons of this chapter helped us improve the project even more so that we did not have any problems during the development. Also, we are looking forward to our instructors, who always guide and express more words for us to motivate and continue this work.

Week 7 System Design and Chapter 1 Revision

As of the first week of October 2023, our hacker started to create the partial interface for our proposed system using Figma. At first he was still hesitant to create the interface since according to him, he is not good in designing, but luckily, in the end he did agree to partially design the login interface but warned us to not expect more about the design.

The pictures above shows the log in interface for the Pupil, Parents, Teachers, and Admin. The design of our system is still not finalize since we still have to figure out the processes needed such as the admission process, enrollment process, and others. However, this partial design will be our stepping stone to identify the functions needed for our system.

In Addition to this weekly update, last October 11, 2023, our capstone adviser Mr. Cris Neil Anthonny Gulfan had return our papers on Chapter 1 consisting his feedback for our Introduction to summary.

The photos above shows the returned chapter 1 consisting of our capstone advisers comments and suggestions. Although the papers were not return as early as we expected still we are thankful that Sir Gulfan examined our papers carefully and leave such comments and suggestions. By that we can use his suggestions to improve the writings of our papers. We will also take not the words that we should not use to avoid rejection of our project proposal. Additionally, Sir Gulfan suggested to change our proposed title from Students Information System to Pupils Information System.

Generally, our group is eager to finish the prototype of this proposed system so that we can start building the front-end and include those to our weekly update.
