I over analysed the Carol/Daryl promo vids
I'm back again with another over-analysis that no one asked for, but I'm really excited about this one, and I think you guys will love it, too.
Grab yourself a cup of tea because this might be a long one.

These are the two vids I'll be breaking down and discussing:
Daryl's version on the right came out in August, but I didn't think much of his until I saw Carol's version on the left that came out this week. The puzzle pieces started to come together and a trend emerged.
Firstly, for context, below are the paintings at the start of each of their promo vids respectively:
Both these Paintings are by Gustave Dore. Carol's painting (left) is called The Angel Appearing to Balaam, and Daryl's (right) is called After the Shipwreck.

Let's start with Daryl's After the Shipwreck.
This painting was made as an illustration of a poem called The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, published in 1875, specifically a scene set at the end of the poem where the Mariner loses his entire crew and is stranded and forced to navigate the seas alone for seven days and nights.
Parallel with Daryl, being taken away from his family/home, getting lost at sea, and being forced to navigate through France on his own, trying to find a way home.
The painting is of the moment the masts of the Mariner's ship disappear underwater, which can be seen in the water to the left.
Parallel with Daryl having to watch that boat that would take him home leave without him.
A pilot and his son see the Mariner in his lifeboat, but they assume he's dead. When the Mariner gets up and grabs the oars, the men think he must be a devil, because they don't believe any man could have survived that.
Parallel with Carol thinking Daryl is dead when she runs into a walker that looks just like him during a scene in 02x01 (according to a leaked script), and later finds out that he's alive and not being able to believe her eyes.
A dark figure is seen at the helm of the lifeboat, presumed to be the Holy Hermit, symbolising the misery awaiting the Mariner on shore.
Parallel with the struggles Daryl experiences in France and his desperation to return home.

Now, for Carol's The Angel Appearing to Balaam.
This painting is an illustration of a story told in the Bible (Book of Numbers, ch: 22-24), which, to summarise, is about a man named Balaam, who, against God's wishes, goes on a mission given to him by the King of Moab, so God sends him an Angel, who meets him on his route and sets him back on the right path that God wanted him on all along. After his encounter with the Angel, Balaam remains faithful to God, ignoring the constant pressures from the King.
There are so many parallels here, and some can have multiple meanings, but I'll point out the ones that seem most evident to me: who the people in this story represent.
God: I think it represents God/Fate/Destiny/[insert whichever divine power you can think of], and God's plan here represents the story that Daryl & Caryl were meant to be on if Daryl wasn't misled, and they hadn't been separated.
King of Moab: This person to me is Maggie; she didn't intend to separate Daryl/Caryl, but she was the one who ultimately sent Daryl on that mission, and Carol couldn't follow, therefore separating them.
Balaam: This one is clearly Daryl; he accepts the mission from Maggie, leaving Carol behind, thinking he'd be back in no time, which, unbeknownst to him, would end up being a mistake he'd regret greatly.
The Angel: It's clear as day in the actual promo video that Carol is the angel. As the image of the angel fades, Carol appears in its place. She will be the one to go out, find Daryl on his lost path, save him, and help him return to where he was always meant to be, with her, with his Home.

I feel strongly that jikookers must be really young or adults who are really lacking in the common sense and observational department because there's no way there's no way 😭
Imagine fighting tooth and nails and even going as far as visiting cc's anonymously of ppl who don't think the same as you to try to convince them ( more like convince yourself ) that two dudes in the kpop industry who have content after content of very common and usual fanservice, I mean almost kisses with cameras on every angel and on their faces, lots of narratives that come straight out of a company, they even be expecting eagerly their annual compilation of fanservice, the memories ( any rational adult with any idea of how the world works knows that that isn't the way a closeted gay couple would be treated when there's millions of investment in a group), also the body language (jikookers really can't read the most basic body language or they are pretending), the honest clear attraction between two other members etc, are in a relationship
They also be acting like reality is dependant on what ppl's opinion a private relationship is.....it doesn't matter what any of us think, who you try to convince or how much you try to convince yourself, reality won't change, facts won't change, our opinions don't have any influence in these people's feelings and lives, I need ppl to stop thinking with their desires and wishes and really start using their brains.....and I'm not saying this for the need to win any ship war, but bc i see how these delusions serve to harm real queer people and make their lives harder ( kpop and in this case their company has everything to do with this)

Yes, absolutely! Going to rant a bit on your ask here.
What I have learned from the Jkkrs visiting my blog and from what I encounter when I look through tags... Jkkrs have a very strong focus on the 'romantic' parts of life. They allow for very little aside that. Everything Jk and Jimin do has a double meaning or they do it with the other in mind. You could so clearly see that when Jk released Seven... his clothes, his pictures, his jewelry, his lives... everything was connected to Jimin. That is not how real lives work. Jkkrs rarely think about reasons for Jk and Jimin's behavior outside the realm of romance. Jimin was unsure about his appearance so he sent Jk a selfie to show why... Jkkrs make it a naked selfie. JImin went to NY... Jkk date. Jimin doesn't talk about Jk on his lives... Jimin isn't ready/holds the ropes/whatever it was. The way they see Jk and Jimin is entirely built around the idea of them together. You can even see huge discrepansies in that, because at the moment they dont know whether to stick with the "Jkk is bold" or the "Jkk is laying low".
When thinking about the members, there's so much to take into account. They do not live normal lives for instance. I had this Jkk go on about Tae not knowing Jk's hotelroom number and how that meant they couldn't possibly be boyfriends. They do not take into account that those guys go from hotelroom to hotelroom at times, with only time to sleep at some days. It's nothing like schoolcamp or going on holiday. We as fans, cannot compare their situation to ours in the practical way. They have jobs that none of us experience, they have more money than us, they always have to be aware of 'image', they are 'being lived' at times... it's just.. we cannot relate. That doesn't mean we cannot incorporate those things when we think about how their lives might be though, and I feel Jkkrs absolutely lack in that regard.
That anon came back and showed me many tiktoks and tweets about how I am wrong and how Jkk is real (though stating they do not mean to try and convince me, they just like pointing out that I am wrong). But those vids, where all either fanservice or plain friendship. And you are right, they do not understand the subtlety of reading bodylanguage at all.
and I'm not saying this for the need to win any ship war, but bc i see how these delusions serve to harm real queer people and make their lives harder ( kpop and in this case their company has everything to do with this)

What made you ship it?
ironically it was an au thing that was like. fairly separate from canon.. pause was meant to be a side-ish character but ended up being my favourite and his relationship with etho was really fucked and it got me thinking about them in canon HARD. that au is long gone now but i still hold my love for them. also pause is bisexual and etho is a tall weird pale autistic guy that looks sort of like a girl so it's like a match made in heaven
What are your favorite things about the ship?
that they're besties.. a real good ship have to be besties to me. this is more a cc thing but i feel like whenever they're interacting in tc vids you can just. hear them both smiling through the screen :) pause is one of the most common people that manages to make etho Big Laugh whether that's at his expense or at beef's and it just makes me so warm.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
idont know umm does saying i don't fuck with it in a team canada polycule count. nothing against it i just don't see it 🤷♀️ again on the Really bad at multishipping front. Unpopular opinion I think it's really fucked up that it only has like 3 ao3 fics and one of them is a cod zombies au or something

A bit of a personal commentary of the recent stuff involving a dude that payed about $50,000 for what appears to be a Self shipping video
I've heard many things of this whole stuff, but I'm gonna add i don't know all of the sides on here but I just really wanna say something about the whole situation, even if I'm just someone who is barely known on the internet and world...
Why all the criticism and hate?
Yeah, I know the dude is known from the animated rap battles, and it may be a bit "bizzare" to now know he likes a fictional character so much he paid almost (exactly or even more, not 100% sure about this info) for a music video with him and this character, And....
I say good for him honestly
I just, I don't understand all the criticism and hate he's been getting?
Yeah sure, he was someone that maybe we wouldn't think he would like this character on specific, or anyone to pay "so much money" for a vid, but at the end of the day he's still a human
And the most important thing here, he's not harming no one
which I want to clarify I'm only "defending" him because I have not heard any information of any harm towards anyone being done in this situation so far, and I'm pretty sure he hasn't
He just likes a character, AND it's his money at the end of the day
He didn't do it because he wanted to cause cringe or attack the creator of the character
He did it because, he simply likes a lot the character, probably liked the song to, and wanted to see these two thing together, which is good! The song ain't attacking anyone, the animation ain't hurting no one, not even him is like "HEY LOOOK, I PAYED FOR THIS!1!1!!1!"
It's a personal thing, that was filtered accidentally, and I think y'all should leave him alone

I don't think he knew or was like "ah yesss, trace the original animationnnn", so you keep him out of that
And tbh, if it was a personal animation, like, there's no profit taken from that, it may have been more helpful to trace that rather than have a Charlie that just looks wonky, plus, again, it wasn't meant to be something public

Yeah, as a semi animator myself, Animation takes time, it's work
And seeing the whole animation, even just a few seconds, the animation does have his effort put into it, it has characters, colored, a background which also moves, and overall it's goodly cleaned!
The dude also said it! It was made by a whole team, not just one person
Look at it like this, you are part of the team, maybe there are like.... 8 on the team, you do the backgrounds, and all of that takes your time, maybe you even sleep late for it, and all you get payed after all that effort and nights of working is 20$ dollars
You barely can buy something with that, maybe a carton of milk, the prices and economy aren't really friendly these days
Yeah, that doesn't really sound fair does it?
If anything I would praise the guy for paying all the amount that was asked for what he wanted, because some people on comparison.... Oh boy
And third, many say that this is out of character for Charlie, that she has a girlfriend and stuff like that
Yeah, says the same person that sexualizes alastor even despite the fact that he's canonically aroace, and yeah, I'm personally a whole fanatic of Charlie and Vaggie, but if someone likes Charlie and wants to ship himself with it I'm okay with that, he ain't doing it because he wants to make me mad or harm me, he just liked the character a lot
Also, when you like someone, yeah, you may accidentally make them differently than what they are in your head, and that applies even on real life relationships
So yeah, that was my personal humble opinion on the situation
Just.... Leave the guy alone

He wanted and ice cream, maybe cheese ice cream (yeah, that exists and it's fucking delicious), but he did it on private exactly because he knew people don't exactly think and just start attacking and mocking anything that may be unusual, and he just didn't want to deal with all that
But then someone saw it, took a picture of him eating his ice cream happily, and showed it to everyone, and that's how all the fire started
I think all of this situation is silly really
It just reminds me that there are many people that just do that for laughs or because on their head it's a whole war if someone thinks different than them, and then they are all worried and confused why the person they bullied is now either mad, or became bad
Just let him be
I can't believe even today we are still dealing with shit like this

First fic: On AO3, that would be my drabble collection for Pet Shop of Horrors. Far from baby's first fic(s), but the first that I published where other people could see from way back in the hazy yesteryear of Livejournal. First fic ever was a Mary Sue self-insert Dracula fic. It was terrible beyond words.
Last fic: Last fic FOR NOW is When a Good Plan Comes Together. And frankly? I can't recommend it. I've been fighting myself about maybe taking it down for a week now, because it kind of makes me cringe to think that might be the first thing of mine someone reads. It's not that it's BAD, per se, but it is v. LAZY. I saw a prompt and wanted to knock out a response to it, and a quick one, because I'm currently working on three other fics that require a lot more mental energy. But that meant handwaving the titular plan and "fade to black"-ing on the sex scene, and that's not really up to my normal standards.
Only once: I tend to be fandom-monogamous, and, within my hyperfocus, OTP-centric, so the closest I've got fic-wise is Unbelievable, which is kinda Geoffrey Fettering/the allure of Stede Bonnet's escape to piracy, if you squint at it. Vid-wise, my first vid ever was for my wifey, featuring her favorite character from The Umbrella Academy, Klaus, and I've got a Stede/Hornberry set to "I've Got A Crush On You."
Favorite fic from the fandom I've written in most: Technically, I think I've written more individual drabbles for Pet Shop, but since they're all grouped together, I'll go with OFMD, in which case, it's Like I Want to be Awake. It's prolly what I would consider my best writing to date - funny but still earnest, the first sex scene I've actually found hot while writing it, and, I flatter myself, a solid Ed-voice with some v. creative cursing.
Fic I wish more people read: I mean, the answer is also "Like I Want to be Awake" because I love it so much, and I want other people to love it too. But other than that, my Stede Sonnets. I know, sweetie, I know. You had a bad English teacher who didn't know how to teach poetry, and prolly didn't really know how to teach Shakespeare, so now you hate all poetry, and ESPECIALLY a stuffy, restrictive format like sonnets. But I'm urging you to find it in your heart to give it another go. I think you might find that, because the subject matter is fandom-centered, you might be predisposed to give the slightest damn about what it's about, and able to relax into the format. And you might even find that sonnets don't have to be stuffy - they can be funny, or dare I say, even flirty and sexy.
Fic I agonized over: The answer is also also "Like I Want to be Awake". I'm SOOOO unendingly lucky to have a marvelous group of Discord friends that let me endlessly whinge on at them. It was supposed to be a silly one-shot companion piece to Footsteps in the Dark (just over 1K). Over the course of 3 weeks, it grew into a 16K monster. Mostly because the boys wouldn't shut the fuck up about matchbooks. I agonized whether including a Maori folk story was appropriative or a respectful allusion to the culture from which Ed's mother came. I found a story I loved that was thematically relevant to the rest of the story and wrote up my own version, and then decided to double-check for alternative versions, only to find it was labeled "Maori," but was actually written by a London-born white woman who was a teacher in Ateoroa in the late 1800s. So now that only lives on the Discord server because there was no way I could use it, but the writing was good. Then, after I'd found a different story, researched it, and THEN wrote it up, I agonized over whether just glossing over Stede telling the story of Snow White with Ed's reactions thereunto, since it would doubtlessly be more familiar to my readers, would be othering to the Maori story (that they might not be familiar with, and would therefore necessitate a full telling), or if I DID do a full retelling if that would be obnoxious. I agonized over whether it cut off too abruptly. About whether it counted as a downer ending when really it just dovetails back into canon. About whether the title too like that of a fandom juggernaut, or if maybe I should choose a different lyric from the Petshop Boys song from which I took the original story in order to link them that way? Like I said - I am SO lucky my buddies are so patient with me.
Fic that sprang fully formed: Definitely Your Achilles. I was about half-way through Beautiful and Useless when Ed's voice interrupted Loud and Clear and Insistent that his version be told. From then on, I was basically writing the two stories simultaneously.
Work(s) I'm proud of: Almost all of the above (not you, "When a Good Plan Comes Together" - you sit there and think about what you've done!), but also Advanced Maneuvers , because it was has the first sex scene I'd ever written, and, even though my brain fought me tooth and nail the entire way through, it's not half bad, Time Enough because it was my first time trying to write action, and I'm pretty pleased with how it came out, Under Par because it was my first attempt at a modern AU and I think it's pretty cute, and Dearly Beloved because it's a lot of fun.

After paying more attention to Yuta I can now agree with the author, his crush on WinWin was real, same with Woo (although this new one is less serious). And he is probably bi, he just wants to love and to be loved (the words he said about Doyoung, but in truth are about him). And the real shift in his dynamic with Do actually happened after the 2nd anniversary (remember how he took a glass with vine away, preventing Do knocking it with his arm? the care he didn’t show before. also during one of recent vids (was it guessing k-pop songs by emoji?) he stroked Do’s back, consoling, which I’d never seen before).
This is from your blog and sorry for for bringing out the past but I have a doubt here..you said yt shifted his dynamic toward dy happend at second anniversary I.e after jaedo comeout right? You meant he started to care for dy right? Then how was it before? Does he hate or ignore dy? I knw they were like tom and jerry before not dislike though...I dont understand can you explain? And if yt is bi like you said does it mean he ever had a crush on dy? Did you felt like that? And what about now ? Do you think he have a crush on mark or ty or woo? We dont knw unless he tell us but did you felt it? That's it for my doubt can you clear it?? And thank you in advance....
When I just came to the fandom, YuWin was super popular, much more than YuMark. Many said Yuta had a real crush. As a newbie I thought it was the normal shipper's talk and YuWin was just fanservice. It's after I saw Yuta with Woo I went back and reevaluated YuWin (that, and NCT Life in Seoul). I think it was a Yuta and Hansol moment that persuaded me Yuta is bi. He was young and couldn't control himself yet (same goes for JaeDo, they were much more obvious with their flirting and crushes, as well as reactions to other men, during trainee times).
I know there are rumours about Yuta dating a man nowadays, he was seen with him in cafes and such, but I don't know how grounded the rumours are as I don't specifically look for more info on the topic.
I had a post on DoYu, the shift. Yuta started to change his attitude earlier than the anniversary. During Chain era, if I remember correctly.
Yuta always liked Do, he was just jealous of him. Yuta wanted to be a singer in the group, he didn't want the dancer position he was basically pushed into. Remember how he said he once bought a ticket to Japan without telling anyone, it was Rino who stopped him and made him believe that he also has a spot, a role in the group, that everyone is important.
We don't talk about the elephant in the room, but Yuta did several cosmetic surgeries, he had (and still has) problems with self image. Do's nosejob just lifted up the tip of the nose, Yuta really changed his face. And 2017-early 2018 was his lowest time, I think. He became a changed person with Regular (he accepted his dancer position, started dancing properly, started taking singing lessons and actually consulted Do on vocals, seeked his help).
I think DoYu getting closer was the result of Yuta himself changing for the better (he stopped being envious and petty) and JaeDo being an example of following their feelings (getting together instead of supressing), coming out to the group and being accepted.
I'm positive Yuta has no crush when it comes to Mark, he is just comfortable with him. I don't know about Tae, however, I doubt it (I don't remember any sus moments). The crush on Woo is probably over, but I need to watch something and re-evaluate.
I've never considered Yuta having a crush on Do, to be honest... I do think it's plausible looking at Yuta's behaviour (he is Do's secret fanboy, actually listens to his non-NCT songs). Not a developed crush, just "ah, what a nice person, I get these fuzzy feelings when he cares about me". A possibility that never was explored because Jaehyun claimed Do first. A crush on a dear friend. DoYu wouldn't have happened in any case though, I always struggle with this ship in fanfics, it's just hard to imagine. Yuta noticeably goes soft when someone shows him love, he craves love.

Do they insist to be just friends though? They just don't say they're a couple and they say they're friends which is true, but they don't say they're JUST friends, not anymore at least
ok yeah this is true, my wording could've been clearer. i was more trying to joke about the fact that they're in this weird era of very overtly trying to have their cake and eat it too. because yeah, everyone who actually knows anything about them knows, and they know we know, and we know they know we know. its. ridiculously obvious.
but on the other hand, apart from dan's coming out video, they've never actually said anything you can point to. and even in the coming out video, in the section where he talks about his relationship with phil, what dan actually says is "and obviously, we were more than friends, but it was more than just romantic" and "we are real best friends, companions through life, like, actual soulmates." on paper, he's still not admitting anything there because everything is couched in the past tense and the vaguest terms possible, and he has full deniability that he meant platonic soulmates. and meanwhile, they're having SO much fun teasing their audience, with obvious clickbait titles, blatantly referencing fan theories, etc. (and personally i think they're so valid for that lmfao like they 100% deserve to have fun with it at this point)
they've created this limbo, like i said, where they're being so overt, and yet insisting that they want their privacy, and i think to understand that one has to understand that they've always been like that. they wrote fanfiction about themselves in 2015, despite being living examples of how rpf can severely impact people's lives. in their fics, their relationship was platonic. they put their writing in their book which they then sold to tens of thousands of people, and they recorded dramatic readings of the stories for their channels and raked in the ad money. in no way do i think the fact that they've been capitalizing on the shipping for a decade makes it okay, but i do think it's important to consider. as someone very cool and well-spoken described it to me, "their whole bit is the elephant in the room." so i think it's a very strategic decision to keep their relationship status private, even though they are going to have absolutely no problem getting views for like. couples content etc lmfao.
(and im not going to go too deep into this bc its speculation and i respect their privacy so much more than i used to at 15, but i think it's also worth mentioning how much emotion must be tied into the concept of outing their relationship. there's the reckoning with the fandom that's going to have to happen, there's the really annoying and embarrassing part of having to admit that everyone was right all along, there's the massive amounts of scrutiny - and probably mainstream attention as well - that are going to be laser focused at their relationship, and also like... in the section of his coming out vid where he talks about phil, the only time dan refers to him in the 3rd person (as opposed to "we"), he says "them" and not "him."** this was years ago, but it speaks volumes to me about how uncomfortable and scared he still is about speaking openly about his attraction to men in more than in general terms or at a remove (talking about celebs or characters), which is also shown by the weird lil dance he does when saying "actual soulmates." there's such a difference between being open about how you think dudes are hot, and admitting to everyone that you are emotionally vulnerable about a same-sex partner. again, this is speculation based on my own feelings, but i do think it's at least part of the bigger picture. there's a difference between being gay as an individual and being gay in relation to someone else in terms of how society views and treats you, and i think they're hyperaware of that, because how could they not be.)
overall, they've genuinely been through the kind of hell regarding their relationship that very few people have ever experienced. in some ways, their situation is unique. mostly, that post i made was commenting on the semi-annoying, sometimes almost insulting, but fully understandable way that they're acting about their relationship. the entire situation is so deeply fucked that i do genuinely believe they've earned the right to have a little fun at their audiences expense (while the audience is even also in on the joke). because tbh its VERY funny that they haven't gone public yet.

Have you seen the videos of JK on the Calvin Klein's recent event, the one Jennie attended too? They're all over TikTok... Two videos have been going around, one of them in the same room and JK glances sideways, and it looks like he's looking at her. The second video he has his back to her and they're separated by a glass wall, but she's right behind JK. He turns around to look back and looks at her for a couple of seconds, and then she leaves right after and he turns around to look at her go. I don't know what he meant by it, but people are already talking and some are starting to ship them and say that JK found her hot...
In my opinion he looked at her for a couple of seconds because everybody else also looked at her (if you see the video, the security guys around him turn around at the same time that he does to stare at her, so it looks like something happened or there was a noise). So I'm only ever on YT or Tumblr, but I tried to find a video that sounded like one of the TTs you saw. I watched this one where they are on either side of the glass.
I agree with you that it looks like something drew not only JK's attention but the people around him to where Jennie was. There's a YT video that I will link shortly that they captioned Jennie was greeting him but JK doesn't even nod his head or say anything back so I feel like it was just a coincidence due to what was happening around them.
The creator of this YT video said what they made isn't a shipping video. There’s a small clip of them being together in the same room & JK is literally just talking to people on the other side of the room, there are a lot of people in the room, and to me, it doesn't look like they are standing parallel to each other for him to be looking at her even from a side glance. Are people trying to say he kept looking at Jennie from across the room?
Okayyyyyy. And? Even if he does look at her, so what. What is he supposed to do with his eyes? Can't even look in her direction in a room full of people? && What about Jennie? Do these clips from a CK event now cancel out the Tae Jennie fiasco that's been going on for a while that points to them being involved? Like, actually involved.

It's also interesting that a lot of the clips about JK & Jennie for that event, title the vids or talk about JK "supporting" Jennie which I find to be funny. Even if it was mainly her event, JK is a CK Ambassador and so is Jennie, at CK event. There were other idols there as well. Plain & simple to me.

Hey 🧡 Thank you for the love, I have fun making them! Lowkey bummed my posts aren’t posting to tags anymore but alas. With the recent "what ships piss you off + what ships do you love" trend going around Twitter, I was just thinking about mine the other day and realized most of them have some sort of angst to them 😅 Outside of NAMOR X SHURI, here are some of my other fave ships over the years [in no particular order] Let’s get into it *cracks knuckles*

A. SAM X BUCKY: "Can you move your seat up?" "No."
I have to say that this ^ line reeled me in but what sealed my fate was the offscreen friendship between Antony Mackie and Sebastian Stan. Those damn compilation vids on yt killed me; they are too funny together. I genuinely feel like they aren't even acting when they work together. You can see their friendship shine through, and I think that's why Marvel realized they needed to do something with this goldmine. In regards of the characters Sam and Bucky tho, I enjoy both a romantic or platonic love between them. There's a strong connection there either way full of support, transparency, shared pain etc and these two losers have my heart. Also, I will never get over that scene in Endgame when Steve speaks with Sam and before accepting the shield, Sam looks over at Bucky and Bucky nods in support *ugly cries*
Show: The Falcon & The Winter Soldier
B. FLEABAG X PRIEST: "I love you." "It will pass."
This ship is definitely one of those ships that devastated me 🥴 Their awkward and yet endearing connection was everything. Fleabag’s dry humor and wit just jelled so well with the Priest in such an unassuming and comforting way. She truly found her match, which made the whole thing that much more tragic. The parts where he broke the fourth wall with the audience and questioned who she was talking to took me out lmao. I was heartbroken with how the show ended but in the midst of everything, it felt fitting. I don’t think they should have done it any different. I also find it funny that we never learn Fleabag or the Priest’s actual names.
Show: Fleabag
C. INUYASHA X KAGOME: "Sit boy!"
These two are one of my first ships when I was young so the nostalgia hits hard with them. As an adult looking back tho, Inuyasha and Kagome’s relationship pissed me off the majority of the show rofl. His back and forth with Kikyo was SO unnecessary. They were so aggravating at times that at one point it was a toss up between Inuyasha and Koga for me. Koga was looking like the better man for Kagome. He meant business and knew where his priorities were. But in the midst of it all, Inuyasha and Kagome’s bond just did something for me. I remember younger me freaking out every time Inuyasha lost his shit and went full demon mode when Kagome was in any eminent danger. I was like “that’s love right there” lmao smh. Also the fact that they kissed like one time [twice??] during the entire show was so *screams into void*
Show: Inuyasha
D. LO'AK X TSIREYA: "Outcast - that's all they see!" "I see you."
Shout out to my fellow Avatar fans out there ✌🏾 I remember when the first movie came out, I freaked out and wanted a banshee SO BAD bruh lol. With the second installment and it’s new batch of dope characters, there’s so much to talk about [especially with these two]. They are basically a mirror of Jake × Neytiri, but in a different font? I love how attentive Tsireya is with Lo’ak and how much she looks out for him and his siblings. She was the first person to truly embrace and see him for him. Their love lanquage is clearly physical contact and it's too adorable. I look forward to seeing how their dynamic/ relationship evolves over future films to come. My blue babes 💙
Movie: Avatar - The Way of Water
E. STEVEN / MARC X LAYLA: "I don't need protection. What I need is honesty."
First of all, this show was sick on so many levels! You’re telling me we got to have a Guatemalan-American actor and Egyptian-Palestinian actress play mcu characters in a show revolving around Egyptian gods and legends sprinkling in themes of mental health and family?? To say I can’t wait for the second season is an understatement, but I digress. I loved Oscar and May together on screen. It was funny seeing Steven and Marc go back and forth over their dynamic with Layla and then Layla grappling with the multifaceted differences of the man [men?] she loved. I enjoyed all of the action sequences but I hope we get to see more of their complicated relationship explored in the future. It’s just so fascinating to me. I will never get over Steven kissing Layla for the first time and Marc absolutely losing it lmao.
Show: Moon Knight
F. AMY X DANNY: "Why is it so hard for us to be happy?"
Now before y’all hop on my dick for posting about this show [in the midst of recent controversy w/ David Choe, which f*ck that guy btw🖕🏾] I watched this BEFORE Choe’s shit came to light. I can’t tell you what to do. You have to personally make that judgment call of whether or not you want to support/watch the show yourself. Anywho *fixes clothes* This show is insane. It's hilarious, tragic, relatable, the whole nines. There’s so much to it but these two specifically take the cake for me. Amy and Danny's relationship take a minute to come into fruition but by the time I got to the end, I was hooked. I also just need Ali and Steven to do another project together because their a quirky pair, but their a pair I didn't know I needed until now. It was beautiful to see how despite all of their strife, Amy and Danny truly saw one another’s souls. They were reflections of one another. That entire tripping sequence in the desert the last ep was funny af but beyond deep.
Show: Beef
G. DRUIG X MAKKARI: "My beautiful, beautiful Makkari. Did you miss me?"
I'm going to be real with y’all, Druig and Makkari were the one good thing that came out of Eternals for me [aside from Kingo and Phastos' roles]. I don’t know what it was but I couldn't get into the movie for some reason and what threw me was the fact that I thought I would. They only had like 2 seconds on screen but they were the only thing I could think of walking out that theater. I swear I couldn't get over their charming dynamic. That scene where Makarri thought Druig was killed and starts going ape shit on Ikarus was peak cinema. No one harms her man! It was also such a dope moment to learn later on that the actress who plays Makarri, Lauren Ridloff, is deaf in real life. I bow down to that Queen. These two characters are just *chefs kiss* and I really hope Marvel doesn't mess up a good thing and we get to see their relationship blossom over time in a beautiful way. This Druig ^ line KILLED me. Me and who when?
Movie: Eternals
H. ZUKO X KATARA: "You rise with the moon. I rise with the sun."
Yes Aang x Katara are cute but Zutara? ZUTARA?? *violently bangs credit card on table* It was full of angst, grief, healing, sexual tension, the list goes on. They could relate to one another’s pain with losing a parent and so on. Zuko helping her find and confront her mother’s killer was everything too. Of course she had every right to be pissed at him and the fire nation but it was nice seeing Zuko work to gain Katara’s trust over time. He caused so much pain and damage to the avatar crew so for him to come back and try and rectify things was monumental. This is also one of those shows growing up that had me in a chokehold. I couldn’t decide what element I wanted to bend because all benders were so badass to me [my girl Toph was the mvp tho. Hands down the coolest].
Show: Avatar - The Last Airbender
I. RAGNAR X LAGERTHA: "We shall meet again and fight, and drink, and love one another."
Where are my fellow Viking fans? ⚔️ This show was INCREDIBLE and their love story specifically was so layered and complicated. Lagertha was the epitome of loyal but I love that outside of her dynamic with Ragnar, she was just such a dope character overall. She really held her own and took no shit from anyone, man or woman. Her hands were rated E for everyone. Their love had its huge ups and downs but you could tell after everything, there was still a deep affection there. They would do anything for one another and that was apparent every step of the way. Even after Ragnar’s death, Lagertha still kept the love she held for him in her heart. His dynamic with each character on the show was intriguing but nothing beats their powerful connection. She was one of the few people who got to see all of the real and raw sides of him and that was beautiful. The show was never the same once Ragnar’s character died [which I still don’t understand this monumental writing decision??] but it was amazing nonetheless.
Show: Vikings
J. LOUIS X LESTAT: "I wanted to forget him, and yet it seemed I thought of him always."
I didn’t watch the first iteration of this novel so I was completely new going into the show. I heard about it way after it came out but it did not disappoint. It lived up to the hype 100%. Louis, Lestat and Claudia were such a disastrous trio but I loved the little family they created [before things went south rofl]. Louis and Lestat’s story was intriguing and I was engaged from start to finish. I swear that moment when the reporter Daniel put two and two together that Louis gave Lestat an out, I yelled at my screen lol. Their love was intense to say the least and although certain moments were hard to watch, these two were electric. With that, it was so suspenseful watching Louis and Claudia ban together towards the end and scheme against Lestat to gain their freedom. The whole thing was just so *sighs* *refrains from writing a novel*
Show: Interview with the Vampire
K. BRAEDEN X DEREK: "I’m protecting my investment."
I know a lot of people shipped him and Stiles together [I mostly enjoyed their entertaining dynamic in a platonic way] but Derek and Braeden did something for me. They fought bad guys while being domestic together and younger me ate that shit up lol. Also seeing a black woman be in a type of role and show like this was also 1000/10. More black women in fantastical roles please 🙏🏾 I feel like this was the first healthy romantic relationship Derek was in too and it just had good vibes all around. He truly learned to trust a lover again. The beginning of their relationship was also hot af and that initial “anything you can do, I can do better” cat and mouse back and forth was *chefs kiss* That scene where she was teaching him how to use a gun >>>>> The reboot of Teen Wolf was not my cup of tea + I was bummed we didn’t get to see future Draeden [or their future kids??] but alas. We always have S3-S5 to look back on.
Show: Teen Wolf
L. WOO X JUN-HO: "What if you think of it as dancing the waltz?"
They are for sure one of my favorite ships. Woo and Jun-Ho need to be protected at all costs 🫶🏾 I don’t even know where to start with these two or this show. If you haven’t watched it yet, please go watch it. It’s on my top kdrama list for sure. Being close to people in my life with Autism, it was heartwarming to see how Jun-ho treated Woo. He treated her like a human being. He was loving, empathetic, patient, kind. All of the ways you should be with others in general, no matter how different or similar they are to you. It was fascinating seeing how the show tackled the subject of relationships that involve differing mental conditions and capabilities. The show was such a slow burn with them that when they had their first kiss I LOST it. I was giggling, screaming and kicking my feet in real time lmao. I’m conflicted bc I want to see a S2 but I also want it to stay the way it is. I don’t know how they would continue everyone’s story but if they resume it, I will be SAT.
Show: Extraordinary Attorney Woo

Hey, sorry if this is a bit out of the blue, but can I ask what programs/brushes you use? I've been trying to learn how to paint digitally, but it often feels so sterile, and I really struggle with it. I envy how well you are able to achieve a traditional look with digital tools, and would love to learn your secret.
I'd love to see a tutorial/process video by you too honestly, but that's more just wishful thinking - I know you probably have a lot going on.

oh my god. I went and did all that organizing and almost forgot to let you know! I put together a tag containing all of my resources/materials/art process stuff. It also has every timelapse video I've done. Each video has process rambling + lists of brushes / materials used in their YT descriptions.
I have a hard time talking about my process like I'm any kind of authority, but I tried to think about it a little and share whatever i've found helpful, answer questions I've been asked in the past or struggled with myself, etc.
Re: emulating traditional media specifically:
ok, first of all. Disclaimer: it's not all about the tools.
but if you're a hack like me it sure feels that way!!!!
When I moved from Photoshop to Clip Studio Paint, a big growing pain for me was finding real media tools that felt good to use. It's pretty obvious in the art I made during that time. Both the tools that ship with the program and the tools made by the community felt like they for completely different styles/workflows than mine. It was a struggle to adjust, and I'm still feeling it-- I don't feel like I have *my* sketch brush, or *my* workhorse painting brush. I miss my brick shithouse lineart every day ):
BUT. but. I've found some keepers along the way. Even the ones that aren't perfect analogs are still pretty great at what they're meant to do. If you're thinking about using Photoshop or Clip Studio Paint, then I can share those toolsets-- I list a few of them in my 'about', and I talk about them in more detail on those timelapse vids. I'm very picky about how my tools handle so they're probably not for everyone, but maybe you'll find something that makes digital art a little more bearable in there.
There's also a lot to be said for the little things, like slapping a paper texture on that bad boy and calling it a day. Even just applying textures to the canvas before you draw does a lot to make the drawing experience feel like it has... idk... warmth, dynamism. Tooth. It's cozier in there when I can see the paper. Admittedly it's been so long since I last looked at my sketchbook that the harsh fluorescent lights of the blank canvas no longer faze me, but it's still good for the eyes and the soul.
Other tools/programs:
Apart from the stuff I use(d) in my main workflow, I've also played with some other programs that are specifically geared towards emulating traditional media.
Realistic Paint Studio - Reasonably priced real media art program that has a decently beginner-friendly interface. This is probably the one program that came with brushes I genuinely liked, right out of the box. They feel good to use + the engine does a pretty nice job of emulating wet media in particular.
Some draws:
^^^ This was a style emulation of the wonderful Fiachmara's art, and also a gift to her, featuring her character Gealach. Didn't originally intend on sharing this publicly, but I think it illustrates this program's knack for inks.
It can also do most of the digital art cheats that I need to do in Clip-- it has analogs for the selection tool, layers, clipping masks, etc. It does not have a brush editor, so you need to be sure that you like the brushes it ships with. I also find that none of the brushes scale up large enough to accommodate absurdly large canvases (5000x5000px+ ) so you'll be stuck working at... well... normal canvas sizes. (Gealach above was about 2000 px wide before resizing-- pretty reasonable LOL)
My only real complaint is you can't export your art without the canvas texture applied to it. One time the textures bugged out on me, and I couldn't get them to fix themselves (you can see the carnage here, RIP.) I've been scared that it'll do that again to me someday, but it's been completely stable apart from this one random flub.
And hey, it's got an Actually Good Pencil Brush, so. There's that.
Rebelle 5 - hoo boy this is big $$$$$, but the brush engine in this one is just. bonkers yonkers cool for emulating real media, especially oil, acrylic, and watercolor. (I'm admittedly lukewarm on its charcoal and pencil brushes. You can create your own brushes, but there's not a huge community that's into making custom brushes yet.)
It's a mighty little art program as far as I can tell. Has most of the bells and whistles Clip does, which is a lot of things that programs like Realistic generally won't have, but are kinda necessary if you want to get into the weeds with like... Advanced Digital Art Skullduggery. (things like gradient maps and tools for ripping lineart from scanned drawings. I think that's honestly it, as far as things I do in clip that are clip-exclusive.)
Doodles:
Rebelle asks you to think like a traditional artist when you're using its tools, particularly its watercolors. Ironically, I Do Not Like This! I want to have my cake (real media tools) and eat it too (dont want to use my brain). But I think it might appeal to you for bringing some of the process into the digital space. If nothing else, it's novel to watch the paint dry.

if you play with the demo and find that it scratches that real media itch for you, might be worth reaching out for a student discount or something like that. They have educator licenses and student licenses and generally seem like a pretty accommodating lot.
Another disclaimer: these are just the tools that I've played with recently and have used enough times to talk about. There's lots of other stuff out there that I've tried but didn't like, and it could very well be that I didn't like them for the same reasons that you'll love them. There's a ton of really good free/open source programs in particular that I feel like I would be using if I didn't already have my workspace carved out. Krita and MyPaint stick out in my mind. (MyPaint was my main program for a Long time in highschool. come remember my baby art with me. )

I'm tapping my other disclaimer again. Tools are not the end-all-be-all of making digital art that emulates traditional media. Pieces like No Dominion and this pic of Dia and co. required some actual neurons to fire when I was figuring out how to tackle them. But for me, finding the right tools and creating the right workspace for myself was a stupidly big part of getting comfortable with digital art. I have to take care of the little QOL things like that before I can even begin to worry about the big things OTL

Does loustat from the iwtv series fall into that category of ships that you don’t think have that much chemistry but you still enjoy? I ask because I’ve seen you mention you thought their chemistry was just fine, nothing particularly special, but you’ve made edits for them(which are amazing btw!)
Thank you! Um, they're not exactly that category because I don't exactly enjoy them but I think they're good fodder for vidding and in my vids, it's almost like I make them as dramatic as I actually wanted them to be in the show.
One of my main problems with Loustat was that so much of it was telling, so much of it was in the interview, in Louis' dialougue than in scene/in action (and this is why my vids are mostly around a minute and a minute and thirty seconds).
and I know part of it is supposed to be that Louis isn't exactly truthful and/or memory can change/can be warped so we're supposed to kind of interpret when he's lying and when he's telling the truth but I don't even think we could do that with the scenes were given
so in my edits, I do things like pair the voiceover with certain scenes to maximize the dialogue even though the scenes themselves are still lackluster for me. So the edits were more just like this is something new to vid which is exciting because there are a lot of songs that can go with what they're meant to portray and it's fun doing something new and also kind of this is the drama I wanted.

Hi, I came across your blog in the tags. I'm queer myself and my ask is truly genuine: If you don't believe Jikook are necessarily a couple, why do you have a blog named after them, and based on a 50-50 chance they are? If you don't think a celebrity couple are dating, why not simply keep it moving? Judging from the last few posts that came up in the tag, you seem to put a lot of effort into discounting certain exchanges between Jungkook and Jimin (thirst trap vid, etc), and even their consistent dynamics over the years as -not- meaning they're a couple. It's just strange to me that someone who's -not- queer chooses to blog about a perceived lack of coupledom between two men, whether they're actually together or queer or not. Of course in theory, it's your blog and you can do whatever you want with it. I'm just taken aback by a cishet person providing their opinion on people (most likely) within a community (LGBT+) they don't belong to.
I'm not sure when shipping (in regards to RPS) became synonymous with believing two people are dating. Shipping, as I have long understood it (at least from a fictional standpoint), was always meant to be a show of support for two individuals who you would think would look and/or be good together for whatever reasons deemed. Now, maybe in the RPS space this is completely different, but I'm not going to mold my participation into whatever anyone says it should be. Shipping should be maintained as a hobby. That people take it so seriously as to question anyone else's motives that don't align with the majority is utterly ridiculous.
I named it after Jikook because, in my mind, I am a Jkkr. I like them and the way they interact with one another. I don't have to think they're dating to consider myself someone who enjoys their dynamic and who wouldn't mind if they became official. But because this involves real life people, there are obvious boundaries I refuse to cross that many others probably clearly don't care too much about. To each their own.
Thanks for assuming my sexuality, which I find incredibly rude and almost hypocritical, considering I've encountered many like you in the Jkkr space who act quite defensive about assuming sexualities but will clearly do so with others (namely, perceived cishets). This whole thing is laughable, really. Honestly, maybe I would've been kinder in response, but this is so insulting and, quite frankly, disgusting of you. I've had people question me on this before, of which I've stated that I personally identify as bisexual but that it might be more accurate to state that I'm pan. To a far lesser degree, I think it's odd that RPS can be gatekept from others solely based on their sexuality. People like you are the reason why the hypocrisy of shipping communities makes me sick.
Screw being nice. Don't drop into my asks with fake goodwill, just don't. I respect other people who are just aggressively confrontational because at least they're showing who they are. Not this bullshit of being "genuine" but then acting like it's an affront to your fandom activities that a perceived cishet is interested in the same thing as you are–and then being entirely wrong about it.

Hi there!! Sorry for taking so long to answer! Life's been really busy lately, and unfortunately not always in a good way, but such is the way of life :'D And omg, thank you for your kind words, I really melted here, it means so much to hear it, now more than ever ;; Cheers to you too, my friend!
As to my thoughts on frostiron and cherik - honestly, it's a little overwhelming, I feel like there's so much I could say about either of the ships that I can hardly say anything at all, if that makes sense? Like I don't even know WHERE TO START. Also I’m not sure if you meant like, share headcanons or meta on the relationships themselves, or what I feel about the ships in general, but I realized that I should’ve clarified that already after a small rant, so... sorry :’D
Frostiron is probably the dearest, most precious ship for me, one that I have never stopped loving ever since discovering it, one that gained me a lot of amazing friends and even, dare I say, affected some of important life choices for me (well, not really, it was mostly Tony Stark's fault, but I'm not kidding when I say he played a major role in my University choice). I'm not really big on changing fandoms, only ever joined a few, so it may not be much, but still, there are fandoms and ships that you enjoy, and then there are fandoms and ships that stick with you, you know? So while I can enjoy new peices of media I discover just fine and will really get to it, I know for sure that I will still eventually come back to frostiron, even if it will be another short break :’D
Cherik is... a bit complicated for me right now, I guess, because while I was very much there when XMFC came out and was really into it, it didn’t feel like something I could really get into... then again, it happened at a time where I had a lot going on in my life, and not a year later I got sucked into frostiron, actually, so. :D But the force with which it hit me this time around, I feel like it has the potential to become another ship and fandom that sticks with me (I think by now it’s safe to say that I tend to cycle between three fandoms, and now it might very well become four). So what I mean to say is, cherik is both an old flame for me and a newest obsession, and I’m cautious to evaluate my involvement yet (I have yet to provide any content, ten year old drabbles and vids aside), but it’s been... a really long time since I fell for a (kinda) new ship quite this hard, and it couldn’t have come at a better time - with the amount of shit I have to deal presently, it became my saving grace to the point where I exist on no sleep, just coffee, alcohol and cherik, and it’s enough to keep me going and not break down completely :’D

I'm Jimin biased and think Jikook are just close friends and I don't think I'm wrong in that or I don't understand their dynamic or Jimin as a person or even care about him or Jungkook and their bond just because I don't see them as anything more than best friends.
I understand that. I was more talking about how it is hard for me, personally, to relate to other Armys when I feel like there's a fundamental difference in how we see the boys and their dynamics.
Before I was Army I stumbled upon Jikook videos. I remember having seen the words Jungkook, Jimin, and Jikook before, but didn't know who they were until I started watching BTS videos. I was not a kpop fan. The words fanservice and skinship meant nothing to me. I was unfamiliar with the world of shipping. I genuinely thought Jikook were a real life couple. I told my friend I envied how they seemed to be in love when I found out they weren't.
Of course, since then, I know how fanvids distort reality, how opinions turn to facts, how things are taken out of context, how easy it is to make any pair of people seem closer than they are. Still, in the early days, I didn't know Jimin or Jungkook, and wasn't personally invested in them. I watched videos of them and of BTS, and thought they were in love, without having any preconceived notion of them, without knowing anything else about BTS. I observed their behavior and came to that conclusion. I even watched a Taekook vid and thought it wasn't even close to being the same thing.
You may think I'm biased because I watched Jikook videos before becoming Army and that shaped how I see them now. Maybe it's confirmation bias. But you may be biased as well, because by the time you were introduced to Jikook, you probably had already been told Jikookers were delusional, that shipping was toxic, that skinship was a thing, etc. You probably never opened your mind up to that possibility. I imagine that to older Armys who just saw Jungkook and Jimin as brothers, it would be hard to see them as more than that, even if as witnessed the development of their relationship.
I got into BTS thinking Jikook were a possibility, and most fans get into BTS thinking shipping is only fanservice and entertainment. I think it's important to understand how fanvideos and shipping analyses work, that skinship is different in Korea, that fanservice exists. However (and I'm not saying this applies to you), dismissing everything as fanservice is disrespectful to BTS.
Army absolutely hate it when the Western media calls BTS products or robots, and imply they don't have creative input or freedom. But Army often treats BTS as if they are slaves. They're idols so they can't do or say this or that. They're idols so they do fanservice. How is that any different from how the Western media treats them? BTS are idols, and that comes with many restrictions, true. But to ignore the effort BTS make to be honest with Army and to portray themselves as faithfully as they feel comfortable with (and are allowed to)? How many times hasn't Jungkook shared song lyrics that have meaning to him? He told Weverse he wished to be loved for who he was, not just as Jungkook from BTS. And actions matter too. Jimin just recently said he didn't like fanservice, and he's a very honest person. Not telling Army everything is different from being deceitful. And "fanservice" doesn't mean any interaction meant to make fans happy isn't genuine.
This isn't just about Jikook. It really bothers me how BTS's agency and integrity is questioned time and time again. BTS are genuine and love us only when it's convenient. Other times, it's "BTS are idols so you can't trust what they say. It's PR", especially when it comes to shipping - but, really, that excuse is used for anything the fans aren't happy with. If you respect BTS, why would you assume everything they say is a lie or meant to trick us? BTS, for the most part, are very transparent when they are promoting brands, for example. They don't owe us the absolute truth, they are entitled to lie, just like any human being, and they have to lie for the sake of their job. Regardless, I would rather trust their words, because they haven't given me a real reason not to (for the most part). The stuff BTS says that you don't like to hear is often what they think. And if BTS only give us half-assed responses or plays certain things off as a joke, that's their right too - it doesn't mean they aren't allowed to share certain things, maybe they just don't want to. I too have moments where I wished BTS were more honest, but I think the times they actually lie are rare, and when they are doing PR stuff they make it very clear. And this isn't meant for you, anon. It's just a general observation.

OKAY SO- this is really random and VERY cringe but screw it, it's funny to me in retrospect so let's get cringe.
I just watched one of those reddit answer compilation vids with the topic being "Your First Writing Mistake". Whiiiich got me thinking about my first writing mistake as well as my first fanfics.
So, thinking it over, I'm pretty sure that my first 'mistake' of sorts (outside the typical grammar and pacing mistakes of a writing newbie) was trying to insert angst into a series where it didn't really work or fit. And yeah, I get that's fairly common (especially for young writers) but I think I did it in a pretty 'unique' way, lol.
I was either in 8th or 9th grade (so in other words, prime teenage angst/edginess phase) when the CN show "Chowder" came out. I loved its silliness and the bond that the characters had with each other, but I also wished that it could be more "serious" and "dramatic" given how often the characters were in danger. (Because even back then, lil' Andrea's favorite genres were hurt/comfort and family fluff)
I had also started reading the "One Last Wish" series at that time (which, for those who don't know, is a series about kids with serious and/or terminal illnesses who get sent $100,000 checks by some unknown person). You guys can see where this is going.
My first fanfic was about Chowder getting some sort of disease (I think it was Malaria, I remember hearing about it on one of the shows my mom watched at the time) and getting treatment for it (based on VERY surface level research) plus dealing with the previous mentioned $100,000 check. I also ended up writing an EEnE/One Last Wish fic with Double D getting lung cancer. (I really did like those books, and I had also been inspired by another fanfic writer who was doing the same thing with early/mid 2000s Disney Channel cartoons).
Later on, I wrote fics about Chowder and the gang being on their world's version of the Titanic (was briefly obsessed with that movie as a kid) as well as a hurt/comfort aftermath fic based on that one episode where Chowder gets possessed by a ghost turkey. You know, that ep that was specifically meant to be a silly Exorcist parody? Yeah, I looked at that and was all "but what if it was taken seriously?"
Super cringe to look back on now, but I'm pretty sure a lot of kids shared similar feelings about the show given that (from what I remember, given those fics are looooong gone) they were fairly popular on FF.net. One person even made a book cover of sorts for the Chowder/One Last Wish fic, which I remember being incredibly touched by.
Also for what it's worth, not ALL my old Chowder fics were angsty or involved death/characters nearly dying - I had tons of Chowder/Panini fics (which, oof, that ship aged poorly) as well as a Pokemon AU and a Chowder/Total Drama crossover fic, among others.
But yeah, as much as I laugh and wonder what younger me was thinking, I guess there are worse ways to express yourself during your angst phase than taking a silly cartoon and writing it to be more drama than comedy.
