Dat’s right, People, it’s time for ‘Keef watches TFP and you just get the notes!’

This is for season 1, episode 12: Predatory.

I hate this episode so don’t read if you like it. I also don’t have any screenshots.

I write down the timestamps, but I watch Transformers Prime on Stan (an Australian streaming service) so they may be slightly off.

ALSO! I try my best to note points for every character, but tend to get a little caught up by Bee (although I think I do a pretty good job with the notes regardless) so do be warned.

00:40 - I get this is supposed to be important but it’s taking forever!

00:55 - It’s weird how Jack’s allowed to come with Arcee. I would’ve thought she’d be more concerned about him.

00:56 - Why is he comparing them to vampire bats? Why not just ‘bats’. Also unless they’re in Australia, I doubt those Mozzies are anything to ride home about.

01:02 - alright Arcee, settle down.

01:05 - No, she wouldn’t, instead she’d be making fun of the fact you didn’t bring it. Also he was very animated in that moment.

01:10 - The animation got a lot heavier. It works on the bots because their designs are awesome and because becoming more expressive is a rare sight on them. For Jack, it just looks uncanny.

01:22 - Those are a lot of big words. Maybe I’m just tired, maybe my brain ain’t working 100%, but I seriously doubt parents had a good time hearing their child stuttering their way through ‘what does________ mean?’

01:30 - As I stated earlier, I don’t like this episode. One of the reasons is because it’s very slow paced. I’m fairly certain this episode’s a placeholder (considering that Sick Mind and Out of His Head are coming up and those episodes are great) but it doesn’t mean that it has to be so boring.

01:56 - This would be a bigger reveal if we hadn’t seen the thing land.

~intro~ (never have I been so glad to see it.)

02:51 - Arcee is the worst guardian. Why wouldn’t she send Jack home before going in?

03:32 - that could’ve been cool if they did the flashbacks WHILE Arcee was looking around, like if it showed the corridor/hall whatever ya wanna call it without anything, then showed what Arcee saw, rather than just giving flashbacks while Arcee stands there. 

03:46 - finally, doing a smart thing! (Although credit to her, once she recognised something was wrong she got out of the ship.)

03:50 - missed opportunity for a suspense build up then ‘my ex wife’s’. They exes.

04:02 - credit where credit’s due, this is kinda realistic. Arcee’s in a sort of panic so much that she’s blocking out her surroundings and Jack’s trying to communicate with her to understand the situation and how worried he should be.

04:04 - NO! Dear frag have you learnt NOTHING, Arcee??

04:31 - this scene feels like it should be more intense… I don’t know why, but it’s just not hitting correctly.

04:38 - If she had more gone to the neck, rather than the face plates, I think it would’ve been more suspenseful because the face plates are more cosmetic injuries and rarely scar, while the neck on the bots could be hiding more scars and could be more life threatening. Then again, maybe they were right not to do that (if you know, you know)

04:57 - I’m sorry, but I have to share.. I’m so incredibly bored and it’s only been 4 minutes.

05:15 - I.. UGH! What the frag?! I get that Arcee’s upset and all, but I’m on Jack’s side rn.

05:27 - WAS THIS SERIOUSLY THEIR JUSTIFICATION AS TO WHY JACK WAS THERE?! NO RISK?! R E A L L Y ?! THEY WERE IN A NEW LOCATION WITH BAD SERVICE WITH ONLY ONE THING TO GUIDE THEM! IN WHAT UNIVERSE IS THAT NO RISK?!

05:44 - Jack the type to stand at the edge of a sinkhole.

06:24 - Tailgate sounds like he’s voiced by the guy who voiced Shiro in Voltron. I searched it up. He did :D AND APPARENTLY HE VOICED JACK TOO?!

06:50 - those two were dating, pretty obvious.

07:16 - H O L Y . Airachnid’s voice made me gayer. Although missed opportunity to give her an Aussie accent.

10:51 - I like that Airachnid is incredible at getting into someone’s head. She’s physically strong, yes, but she’s mostly talk because once she finds away to play her opponent like a flute she’s so much more likely to win.

11:40 - Airachnid’s in Arcee’s head. Someone telling the truth would’ve acted more desperate and focus more on persuading them that their not lying rather thanspeakingallatoncetotryandgetthepointacrosstominimisethechanceofaccidentallytellingthetruth. (Just incase you couldn’t read it: than speaking all at once to try and get the point across to minimise the chance of accidentally telling the truth.)

11:56 - I thought that Airachnid was smarter than that. You never get rid of the only bargaining chip you have right away.

12:02 - that was quick…? Although dumb. Never have heartfelt moments until you’re completely out of the woods.

So that was Predatory.

It’s very clearly a filler episodes (Very obviously because they didn’t bring in any other voices actors at a l l. That’s why they chose Bee and Cliffjumper to be the ones to help out Arcee, but didn’t give Cliff any speaking lines.

There was literally only three voice actors in the entire ep and it shows)

I despise this episode. I understand that Airachnid was messing with Arcee, but it didn’t make it any less frustrating to watch. It was also incredibly boring.

I thought an Airachnid central episode was a good decision as her debut, but this was not it.

Chapter 4 - Little Trouble Girl

Into the night. The city was still very much alive and awake. Bright lights, passing vehicles, all of the regular hustle and bustle.

The quickest way to get to Emily would be to take a bus. No one would recognise you, you could be an android? No, they all look similar. They would ask questions about your make. You also feared your oversized jacket might make you look suspicious. You had no phone to order a self-driving taxi and payphones were a thing of the past. Androids didn’t need them, they could quite literally call one with their mind.

You had no other choice but to walk, and what a long walk it would be.

You had a rough idea about the general direction you were headed but were not 100% sure. You did think to use the maps at the bus stops that showed the bus routes for directions. Every now and then stopping at them to make sure you were headed the right way.

After a while your feet grew tired, it felt like you had been walking all night. You were still so far from the adoption centre. Your mind had wondered to your owners, would they be angry if they found out you had run away? Would they even notice you were gone?

It doesn’t matter, they don’t matter. The only thing that matters is finding Emily. There were tales of humans in the wild, forming tribe like societies far from the android civilisations. Maybe you two would be lucky enough to stumble upon one.

You didn’t have much of a plan when it came to breaking her out. You hadn’t really thought that far ahead. You wouldn’t be able to just waltz in and take her. You wouldn’t be strong enough to fight off androids or skilled enough to break in or sneak her out. Maybe you could start a fire? You knew the fire safety protocols like the back off your hand. Maybe when the humans had all been taken to the designated safe place outside the building you could sneak her away?

No, it’s too dangerous, too risky. You didn’t want anyone to end up hurt.

The streets all began to feel the same to you. Where you lost? You couldn’t seem to find another bus stop around and to add to that you felt exhausted. Maybe you should find somewhere to rest for the night and start again in the morning.

You would have to be cautious when picking a space to rest. Homelessness didn’t really exist in this android utopia. You would be spotted as a human immediately.

A dark alley behind an android restaurant was your choice. Sneaking behind a large trash can. It wasn’t ideal but it was sheltered. You supposed you ought to get used to sleeping rough anyway.

You rested your head on your backpack and snuggled in close to the black woollen coat you were wearing. Hoping for a better tomorrow, you allowed your eyes to shut.

You awoke a few hours later to the sound of heavy footsteps. Before you could think or have time to register the sound, hands gripped at your wrist pulling you upwards. A tall android wearing all white stood above you gripping your wrist almost too tight.

“I got it, Bill.” He shouted looking over his shoulder to another android dressed in similar attire.

Perhaps if it hadn’t of been so dark, you would have noticed the CCTV camera point to the exact spot you chose to lay for the night.

Great, somebody must have called the damn pound on you.

The two androids brought you to the “Animal Centre.” A place for lost and endangered animals and humans alike.

“You should be more careful.” One of them spoke. “A young thing like you, you could get hurt.”

Was that supposed to be helpful? You tried to pull your wrist away from his grip.

“Easy now.” He shushed you while directing you towards a glass cell. The other android, Bill, following behind with a small white device in his hand. The first android pushed you to sit down on a bench like bed while the other gripped your arm. You struggled, kicking and flailing your arms and legs around.

“It’s okay, we’re just trying to check your chip.” The android holding your arm spoke softly trying to calm you. The device beeped as he pressed it to your inner forearm.

Every human was chipped after birth. All your information put on the chip, which regularly got updated. another way of androids to keep tabs on humans.

“We got it. Now that wasn’t so bad huh?” He patted your shoulder, you flinching away from the touch. Both androids walked out of the cell, leaving you inside. It reminded you of being back at the adoption centre, being man-handled and put on display. Again.

“Don’t worry, we’ll contact your owners. You’ll be safe and home again in no time.” Bill smiled and walked away.

Your owners? Oh no.

The drive back to the house was quiet. Richard sat in the front seat not speaking a word. The tension, suffocatingly thick.

“Do not breathe a word of this to Connor.” Was all that was said to you upon his arrival to the shelter.

Your stomach was in knots. For some strange reason, you felt guilty. You looked over at Richard, his mouth a thin line and his brows furrowed.

“I’m sorry.” You whispered out, you’re voice slightly cracking.

He ignored you.

“I just wanted to see my friend.” Your shaky voice continued as you attempted to explain yourself.

“Do you have any idea how embarrassing this whole thing is?” He eventually spoke out. “We have a reputation in this city, and if our human is being seen running away…” He trailed off.

“Well maybe if you didn’t ignore me all the time.” You mumbled under your breath while looking out the window. Your fingers tracing over the door handle.

“You know my pet, my audio sensors are a lot more powerful than you would think.” His eyes darted to you.

Your shoulders tensed up as you gave him a guilty look. You felt exposed under his gaze.

“I understand you may be bored but you are being fed and kept safe.” You sighed at his response and rested your head against the car window.

“You can act upset all you want but you are still in trouble. Don’t think you are going to get out of this unpunished.”

Chapter 5 - He hit me and it felt like a kiss

The apartment was empty, apart from you and Richard. No one could save you from whatever act of punishment he decided to give you.

You feared the worst. Was he going to hurt you?

His grip was on the back of your neck, it wasn’t too tight but it was strong enough to guide you to where ever he wanted. With his other hand, he pulled a key from his coat pocket. A key to what exactly? Well, your question was soon answered with him leading you to his bedroom and unlocking the door.

A part of you was excited to finally see inside his room, another dreading it.

What was so bad it needed to be locked away?

Well, nothing apparently… The room looked normal. Well, over the top luxurious but nothing about it was strange or frightening.

The room was quite dim, the large curtains had still been pulled leaving the lamp sitting on his gold-accented bedside table to be the only light source. Your gaze had been drawn up to the abstract paintings that hung around the room. Everything was so immaculate and pristine, perhaps Richard locked his room to keep it in this condition? It was a theory anyway.

You were soon snapped out of your wonderment when Richard grabbed your wrist and pulled you down across his lap as he sat down on his plush bed. His strong hands positioning you to lay just right. It took a while for your mind to catch up to what was going on. You were still partly confused as he pushed your skirt up revealing your ass. You blushed hard as you felt the cool air graze your skin.

Was he about to-?

Smack. His firm hand hit against your cheek.

At first, you were stunned. Did he really decide on spanking you as a punishment? You used to get smacked when you misbehaved as a young child. This wouldn’t be too different? Would it?

Smack. It was a little harder than you remembered, but then again, less force was needed for a child’s punishment.

Smack. It actually was starting to hurt. Smack. You let out a soft whimper.

“After all we do for you…” Richard hissed at you.

“Feed you.” Smack.

“Give you a home.” Smack.

“You will obey.” He smacked upwards against your ass this time, the slight change in motion felt… strange.

“You will show respect.” He smacked you the same way and continued to do so.

You felt, different. This was different.

Smack. You felt a growing fluttering warmth inside.

Smack. Your breath hitched as you accidentally let out a low hum.

It even startled Richard but he shook it off and smacked you again.

A different type of whimper escaped your lips this time.

Richard’s brows furrowed. His LED flickered between yellow and red. It took him a minute before he understood. Oh.

You covertly peeked over your shoulder to figure out why he had suddenly stopped, completely oblivious to the absolute conundrum you had started in Richard’s mind. His hand hovered above your thigh as you could see the look of confusion on his face. Yet he was curious. His LED settled on yellow as he gently stroked his hand over your sore skin. You let out a soft hum to this interaction. Richard’s eyes dart over to your face, you hiding it just in time so he wouldn’t notice your staring.

He gives your ass cheeks as small experimental squeeze. He watches as your body relaxes into him. He is even more curious now. Richard strokes his hands down your legs, exploring the length and moving between your thighs. He hovers just above where your legs meet, almost waiting for permission to further his exploration.

When your hips move up to meet his touch, he accepts this as his invitation. Slowly he pulls down your underwear to your knees, no need to go any further. This is all just an experiment.

His long fingers brushing lightly against your soft folds. He lets out a small gasp at your wetness. Richard begins petting and stroking you ever so tenderly. You moaning against his lavish touches.

The sounds you make, Richard hasn’t heard anything like it before. He never really showed much interest in pornography or a sex life of his own even after deviating. Your mind felt hazy, almost like in a dream, this was new. It was different. It was exciting. What did it all mean?

His fingers curved upwards, touching that very delicate spot inside you.

You feel something building up and up until you are overcome with a new sense of warmth, tingling all over your body. Your muscles flop as you finish your song of moans. You lay still forgetting where you are, until hands grip at you again, this time more gentle.

Richard places you into his bed, pulling the soft black duvet over you. Your eyelids fluttering as you look up at him. His LED still yellow.

“Get some rest.” Was all he said before leaving you alone in his room. His getaway, quick. Was he embarrassed? Should you be? So many questions still on your mind, but your eyes were heavy and you felt overcome with tiredness now. You allowed your head to settle into the feathery pillow.

Your questions could wait till later.

I am covered in self harm scars (I'm working on covering them up with tattoos). I don't really have any scars with cool stories. I had one that went down my arm but somehow it healed??? Someone in gym class accidentally took a chunk out of my arm with their finger nail and I had a hole in my arm for the longest time!!! I also have a scar on my knee from when I was really young, maybe 3 or 4. I was balancing on some bricks in someone's garden and I lost my balance, fell, and hit my knee on the brick. I remember there being blood running all down my leg as I screamed and cried. So that was fun.

44. What do you want to be when you graduate?

I don't know. I do know, though, that I want to go to culinary school. I also want to go to school for creative writing.

1. what is the colour of your hair brush? 

I have a silver paddle brush which I don’t use very often, a transparent and purple swirly coloured (honestly don’t know how else to describe) afro comb, and a regular black comb.

2. name of a food you never eat? 

Tuna, can’t stand it. To be honest, I eat most things if they’re warm, but VERY fussy when it comes to cold food

3. are you typically too warm or too cold? 

Definitely too hot! I still have a fan on in the winter at night time

4. what were you doing 45 minutes ago? 

Playing Animal Crossing, tried to catch some tarantulas because Flick is on my island but the dodos don’t seem to want to send me to any decent islands so my mission was unsuccessful

5. what’s your favourite candy bar?

That’s a hard one... probably either Cadbury’s marvelous creations with the jelly beans and popping candy, darkmilk, or the one with oreos. Snickers are pretty great too, also Kinder Bueno and just Kinder chocolate in general. Basically, what I’m saying is I love chocolate

6. have you ever been to a professional sports event? 

Yes, I went to the London 2012 Olympics to watch show jumping, football and basketball! Have probably been to others? Really want to go to Wimbledon at some point but not sure when I’ll be able to do that. Does dog agility count as sport? Seen it at Crufts multiple times

7. what is the last thing you said out loud? 

‘Night night curly shoes’ - a goodnight wish for my sweet doggo Ivy

I’m a fan of coconut ice cream it has to be said, also honeycomb, and your standard Ben and Jerry’s cookie dough is high up there. Really specifically, the vanilla ice cream from the waffle shop in Cirencester. To be honest, don’t eat much ice cream, not my go-to food choice because I’m lactose intolerant and a lot of it makes me feel sick just thinking about it. Has to be good!

Some water, absolute health right here (she says drinking her first glass of water all day after about 4 cans of Pepsi Max whoops)

I guess so, yes. Could probably do with a slightly more efficient one but it’s decent

A jazz apple from the fridge. We have no pink ladies which are the favourites but jazz are pretty tasty too

No, only virtual ones in Animal Crossing. I haven’t been clothes shopping in so long and doesn’t look like that will change anytime soon

Honestly no idea, since all the sport has been cancelled for a while I can’t think what the last thing would have been. Probably Cheltenham races on the telly back in February or March or whenever it was?

Strangely, someone from my secondary school who I haven’t ever spoken to over message before. She posted our leavers video on her Instagram and thought I’d message since I’d been looking for that video for  y e a r s  and sparked a conversation! She never liked me much back in school I don’t think, she was popular and I really wasn’t so I never properly spoke to her. One of my friends had a bit of drama with her, absolutely hated her, but they eventually became best pals. Also her best pal during most of school really didn’t like me for some reason... anyway, had a nice chat, strange how friendly she seems these days

16. ever go camping?

Uhh well... I’ve been 4 times, 2 of which were for D of E and I can safely say I’ve never had a good experience. First time, the people in the tent next to us got arrested at 3AM for drugs or something, second time was my dad’s 40th birthday and my brother didn’t know he was allergic to nuts so eating a cake with mixed nuts on the top didn’t go down well for him... also went to a restaurant on the way there with my granny and got a caterpillar in my salad. Third and fourth times, let’s just say D of E was one of the worst experiences of my life, I’ll leave it at that... would really like to go camping again though to have a good experience, maybe change my mind on it? I don’t know, willing to give it a try

17. do you take vitamins? 

I go through phases, sometimes I take them every day, other times I don’t take them for like 3 months

18. do you go to church every sunday? 

I used to, but as I got older I slowly went less and less until I didn’t go at all. I lost faith I guess? Kind of didn’t feel I belonged there or believed anymore. I loved singing the hymns and our vicar was an absolute lad, we also got biscuits at the end of each service, but over time I decided it wasn’t right for me to keep going. Pretty much all the people that go to ours are your typical white, posh, probably homophobic and hate children type so that put me off. Also after everything that’s happened in mine and other’s lives, I slowly lost the belief in God. If all of it was true, why would these things happen? I guess also my scientific mind was constantly telling me there’s no proof. I think the only reason I went to begin with was because it was a family thing and as a child I believed pretty much everything that was said

No, certainly not... used to when I lived in the Caribbean but now I’m pretty much white as a sheet

A very difficult one... probably chinese? As much as I love pizza, it’s the same issue as the ice cream

Nah not a fan of straws, they taste weird

22. what colour socks do you wear? 

ALL THE COLOURS! I own a pair of socks for every outfit to colour co-ordinate, my sock draw is overflowing

23. do you ever drive above the speed limit? 

Strangely, I drive under by quite a bit when no one else is around. It’s the other cars that stress me out and make me go too fast. Also I have a black box so not allowed

24. what terrifies you? 

Good question, lots of things... the sea, pools, tbh water in general, heights, rejection, the current impending doom, large open spaces with no walls I can be against, losing everyone I love, the fact that anyone might be secretly talking about me behind my back because they actually hate me, the list goes on but I won’t continue it

25. look to your left what do you see? 

An empty Pepsi Max can, a glass of water, some crocodile scissors, my Switch, a cranberry scented candle, and some tiny balls of wool

Got to be changing my bed, or washing up when the things have got cold food left on them

Again, currently it’s around 11:30AM to wake up then 12PM to do things but used to be around 9:30/10AM. To be honest I still sometimes wake up then but I go back to sleep again because I have no reason to exist more than I need

Sunrise is always nice to watch, but I don’t like getting up early so definitely sunset, especially when you’re at a restaurant or sitting outside somewhere in the countryside

Just the one duvet, but I have a soft fish patterned blanket for when I want something to cuddle with

We have some plain white ones and some that are white with leaves around the edges. The edges have a ridged pattern and the rims are gold

Doing something a bit different. Instead of a full transcript this will be a body language read of Fjord after the analysis. I highly recommend rewatching the scene and just watching Fjord. He takes an epic face journey throughout that gives off a lot of his emotions while trying (badly) to mask them. All of Wursh's conversation with him outside and his friends talking to him afterwards is transcribed. This is a long analysis as well, but I finally feel like I really get Fjord.

The dynamics of how Fjord interacted with Wursh in Ep 58 stem from his childhood insecurities. Fjord tells The Mighty Nein afterward that he was an orphan raised in Driftwood Asylum, and mostly by other kids. (Ep 58 0:46:44) He was the only half-orc (Ep 58 0:48:11), probably the only orc at all. We know from Ep 11 he was judged a lot on his appearance. He grew faster than the other kids, but he was Stumpy, short. Big teeth. […] Just sort of mis-proportioned." (Ep 11 3:05:23) Nott calls him "pretty handsome, you know, for, like, a half-monster thing." (Ep 11 3:04:51) Fjords trying to stay reserved, but you can tell that stung, and he gets more uncomfortable the more she belabors her view of him as a monster.

Growing up the only half-orc in an institution, it's very likely that Fjord was treated as a monster and a threat by everyone growing up and that played into him being picked on (0:48:11). He viewed himself as, "A kid, just like anyone else," (Ep 11 3:05:14) but I doubt he was viewed that way. His orcish side was viewed as a brutish disposition to be overcome, but he was never allowed to be human, either. Other kids were afraid of him just for existing. The adults probably treated him like he was the aggressor in way more fights than he was, quick to assume his violence. Any kid that wanted to establish dominance in the pecking order would go after him to prove they were stronger than the monster. His height also made him more intimidating. We can see with Wursh he has a very child-like threat assessment around height. But Fjord wasn't strong, and he couldn't take too many punches, so mostly he just got the shit beaten out of him all the time and blamed for it by adults.

So, Fjord learned to view every interaction with people as a threat he needed to be prepared for. He wasn't good in a fight, and he didn't have anywhere to run as a kid, so he tries to flatter or intimidate to protect himself. He's an asshole because being a half-orc is seen as intimidating. He learned kids who are afraid of him are more likely to leave him alone. This is the easiest and most passive technique he has, so he relies on it. But if he knows he can't intimidate, he'll turn to being very charming. Make himself useful enough to keep around. This is why we see such duality in his interactions.

Vandran's crew is probably the first time he ever felt treated like an equal, like he belonged. That meant to world to him and he let down some of those barriers. Then everything went wrong. His sense of peace was blown apart that night. Angry, heartbroken, drowning, and desperate, Uk'otoa found him. Offered him salvation and power enough to stop people from threatening him. It seemed like just a dream, even when he washed up on the beach with the sword. He couldn't fight it, so he ingratiated himself.

He's aware that he's under this thing's power and threat. He doesn't want to do what it wants, but he's terrified of disobeying, of being outright crushed. But he's also afraid of being abandoned by that power. For once in his life he feels powerful and not just scared. That power has gained him strong allies who have his back. He's afraid the Mighty Nein will abandon him as useless without that power. He fits with this merry band of assholes. He's starting to trust them, even, terrifyingly, love them. They're all keeping the world at bay by being assholes (except Caduceus) and he feels like he fits. So, he's trapped. Ignoring it for a while was the best resistance he could muster.

Fjord was raised by human-folk. (Ep 58 0:41:46), it's the only culture he knows, but he was never allowed to be one of them. He was always treated as an orc. But he's painfully aware that he knows nothing about orcs, either. His interaction with Wursh came out of those deep-seated insecurities. All he knows about orcs is what humans told him. He knows it's bigoted and inaccurate, he's trying to learn the truth and keep an open mind, but it's also ingrained in his threat assessment. He thinks orcish culture values strength and dominance, so he went into the conversation with Wursh expecting he had to prove himself. He desperately wants to be respected and accepted by other orcs.

He wanted Wursh to see him as strong, but he also wanted to learn what it was like to be an orc from him. What's their culture like? It's a big missing piece of his sense of self. Wursh picked up on his desperation and bullshit right away. When Fjord said he was from the Menagerie Coast, Wursh realized exactly what was going on with Fjord, and Fjord realized he gave himself away. (Ep 58 0:35:39) But he had no backup plan, so he just dug in his heels and tried to play it cool. It didn't work. He didn't find Fjord threatening at all, more like a growling puppy.

When it started going south, Wursh tried to encourage him, but instead it felt like condescending pity. It made him feel weak. Caduceus also tried to bolster him, but again, he only made him feel pitied and weak because his friends didn't understand what was going on. Nott saw him struggling to hold up the mask and wanted to show him he didn't need it by teasing him and poking holes in it. But to Fjord, especially as a very bullied kid, that just made him feel even weaker, more insecure, and hurt. The teasing never feels like it could come from anyplace other than wanting to see him hurt, even if he's intellectually aware Nott cares for him on some level. He feels like he needs to give as good as he gets with her. But in this moment, he needed desperately to not look like she could hurt him. He needed to look stronger, so he exaggerated the tough guy routine.

When Fjord brushes off giving his name and abruptly leaves (Ep 58 0:40:59), Wursh feels like he's doing a disservice to this kid if he lets him get away with it. He tells Fjord he knows he's acting like this because he feels like he has something to prove, and he doesn't have to. I can read what Wursh is saying two different ways. Either he was saying don't let the temperament and traits of either your human or orc side rule you. Or don't let how people perceive you based on your blood rule you. Or, most likely, both. You are who you are, you feel what you feel. You are part of both, even when you're made to feel like you're part of neither. You're enough as you are. Trying to act tough will just get the attention of someone powerful enough to hurt you. Fjord knows he's right and the game is up, so he finally backs down.

It remains to be seen how much this lesson will change Fjord's behavior. But it did get him talking about his past to his friends. I don't think they quite understand yet. None of them went through the same thing. But Beau might understand some of the abandonment. Caleb may understand some of the daily fear. One day Nott may understand why he doesn't want to be seen as a monster for the body he's in (this will be tied to her own growth). Yasha understands his sense of loss and his fear of letting people get close. Caduceus may piece all of this together from that conversation. And Fjord may keep learning to trust not just his friend's power, but their compassion.

Scene runs:  0:29:14 to 0:45:31

Fjord is politely disinterested when they get to Wursh's smithy, quietly going over his notes.

0:29:28 Matt: "A tall and built half-orc. You see a thick chin beard of tough, course, black hair, bald head, arms covered in tattoos from, like, mid bicep down to the wrist."

Travis has a delayed reaction, and it isn't until "thick chin beard" that he starts looking uncomfortable. He shifts uncomfortably at the mention of tattoos.

Matt: "Wearing thick leather apron, trousers, no shirt under the apron under the vest and is just kind of sweating on the very edges."

As Matt describes his appearance, Travis has to remember to breathe from nerves. He starts fidgeting with his beard. He's happy to let Caduceus take the lead, although he stays tense.

0:30:27 Matt: "And standing up, he's pushing about 7-foot. He's a very tall bugger."

Fjord starts looking even more intimidated and insecure.

0:30:31 Matt, indicating Caduceus: "So, he's about as tall as you are eye to eye. And just- This guy's been doing a forge for a long time. The immediate comparison of half-orc him to half-orc Fjord is- it's a Laurel and Hardy sketch."

Fjord looks even more uncomfortable.

Taliesin: "His neck has a 6-pack kind of thing?"

Matt: "Yeah"

Travis mimics strongly puffing out his neck and looking mean.

As Caduceus talks, Fjord looks nervously between them. His posture is closed off and tense. When Wursh speaks, it's with the same Texas accent Fjord uses. Fjord raises his eyebrow in surprise, blinks a lot, and manages to look even more anxious.

As Caduceus and Wursh talks, Fjord starts to calm down a bit.

Caduceus suggests Jester would like to see Wursh's tattoos.

0:32:37 Wursh: "Well, she's certainly able to look, but not something you can really teach. These are important to my home town, so wouldn't recommend her giving them out."

"Home town" catches Fjord's ear.

Caduceus: "Oh no, I just think she would really enjoy seeing them."

Fjord tries to sound casual, but it comes off a bit forced and over-inquisitive.

0:32:53 Fjord: "Your, uh, your home town? Where you from?"

Wursh eyes him suspiciously.

Matt: "He kind of gives you a look over. Make a persuasion check."

Travis rolls a 23 and looks quite pleased.

0:33:10 Matt: "He looks you over, kind of grins, and goes,"

Wursh: "You're an inquisitive runt. I like it."

Fjord looks frustrated and put out. He shakes his head in a "yeah, okay, that hurt and was unnecessary" way.

He takes notes as Wursh says his from the Greying Wildlands in the village of Araftcra [sp?] out in the Rhyme Plains [sp?]. Fjord does show genuine interest. Wursh says the tattoos are of the nearby Dunrock Mountains. Caduceus says it's their first day in the city.

0:34:03 Fjord tries to get into the conversation, but Wursh talks over him and cuts him off, talking specifically to Caduceus. It shakes him a bit, and he backs off to regroup.

Wursh asks where they're from. Caduceus says all-over, then talks about where he's from. Wursh thinks Caduceus is a crazy motherfucker for living in the Savalierwood.

0:35:12 Fjord: "You're, uh, so vertically challenged. Everyone like you from the… Araftcra? The same stature?"

0:35:26 Wursh: "Generally, yeah. We're big."

Fjord looks put out.

0:35:29 Wursh: "You should see the full-blooded orcs up there. Plenty of them, and they're a little bigger. Well, one of the clans, anyway."

Fjord looks like he feels very small.

0:35:39 Fjord, obviously feeling insecure and trying to brush it off: "Yeah, not as, uh," he clears his throat," not as huge down in the Menagerie Coast. I'm from Port Damali."

Wursh, with dawning realization: "Oh! You went and grown up in some of that human territory."

Fjord looks like he realized he gave too much away.

0:35:50 Fjord, still trying to play it cool: "Yeah, not too many of us, uh-"

He's cut off by Wursh again.

0:35:53 Wursh: "Explains a lot."

Fjord's beginning to look defeated.

0:35:56 Fjord, resigned: "Yep, well, you do the best you can with what you got. Um…"

0:35:59 Wursh, looking slightly perplexed: "Don't be ashamed of that, son."

Fjord is mildly surprised.

Fjord: "No, I ain't ashamed."

Wursh: "Now look at you; you're mobile. Me, I hit things real hard, but I spend most of my day in here where it's bothering me with the heat. You being from the Menagerie coast, I imagine you've seen quite a bit, too, in your days."

Fjord slightly nods along but looks a bit haunted."

0:36:22 Fjord, trying to sound cocky: "Yeah, it doesn't… bother me so much."

Wursh, looking through him: "Good."

0:36:27 Caduceus: "Mr. Fjord has saved my life on a couple of occasions, actually."

Fjord looks assured by this and more confident.

0:36:33 Nott: "Yeah, it's true. He can carry a barrel with only- just a little bit of assistance from one of our ladies."

Fjord, very annoyed. "Okay! You know, disregard my little goblin friend over here. She's excited by big muscular types."

Nott: "I've seen it, sir. he can lift almost-"

Fjord: "Many barrels."

Nott: "Almost one.

Fjord: "Many barrels by himself."

Nott: "Almost one my himself."

Fjord: "Unaided."

Nott: "Almost one, yeah."

Wursh has stopped paying attention and is looking over the broken sword. He suggests the origin is Uthadernian [sp?].

0:37:28 Fjord: "Luthegernian?"

Wursh: "Uthadernian."

0:37:31 Fjord: "Luthedernian. Sorry, short ears."

Wursh explains it's where the Dwarves and Elves live together. Fjord concentrates on his notes. Wursh says be careful up there. His people are just surviving, but the orcs are bloodthirsty. Fjord listens tensely.

Caduceus asks about a jeweler. Wursh suggests Faton's gems. He isn't a gem wearing person and he's not a master craftsman, so he doesn't have a lot of need. Fjord's posture shifts to be broader and slightly more confrontational.

0:38:59 Fjord, trying to sound and gruff: "Yeah, jewelry wearing's for softer folk."

Fjord screws up his face and spits on the ground. He looks back at Wursh's toughly, but it's obviously an exaggerated act. Wursh laughs.

Caduceus thanks him for his time. Jester comes in because they're taking so long. Fjords watches the exchange uncertainly. She shows the medallion and boasts they're friends of the Dynasty and really cool. Fjord watched Wursh's reaction.

0:39:56 Wursh, not sure what to make of it: "Alrighty, well, I didn't realize I was in the presence of such… whatever the word is for your people."

Fjord, feigning arrogance: "Yeah, don't judge a book by its cover, friend."

Caduceus thanks him for his help and tips a gold piece. Yasha asks his name, and he gives it as Wursh the Tapper. Jester and Caduceus give their names.

0:40:58 Wursh to Fjord: "What's your name?"

0:40:59 Travis, gruffly: "I leave."

There's a long pause.

Wursh: "Alright."

0:41:06 Nott: "His name's Fjord."

Wursh: "Fjord."

0:41:09 Nott: "Yeah. Fjord Tough."

Wursh nods and mulls it over.

Matt: "And he kind of-"

Nott: "Have you heard of him or something?"

Matt: "No, he just-"

Taliesin: "I'm watching this."

0:41:23 Matt: "He walks towards the edge and kind of looks out the door and goes,"

0:41:27 Wursh, looking stern: "Hey, come here a second. Wanna talk to you."

Fjord hesitates and doesn't want to give ground. His answers are curt and standoffish.

Fjord: "What do you need?"

Wursh looks mildly disappointed in the response.

0:41:42 Wursh: "So you said you grew up in the Menagerie coast, right?"

Fjord: "Right."

0:41:46 Wursh: "Around hoity-toity human folk?"

Fjord slightly winces.

Fjord: "Yep."

0:41:52 Wursh: "And you walk around like you got something to prove?"

Fjord: "Is that what it looks like?"

0:41:56 Wursh, nodding, slightly sad: "From where I'm standing, yeah. 'Cause I'm'a tell you something: they don't matter. Yeah, we got a history. But some of us, we don't let that blood rule us, huh?"

Human blood?

0:42:19 Wursh: "I know you feel the anger there, every now and then, but… don't let them define you."

Orc blood? Do you not want to be defined by humans or orcs?

0:42:28 Fjord: "What blood you talking about?"

0:42:30 Wursh: "What? This blood."

Matt: "He kind of scratches the side of his shoulder and bleeds a bit from his finger nails. They're kind of grimy and you can see, like, the coal and dirt and stuff that's under them."

0:42:41 Wursh: "The blood that we came from. Don't be ashamed of that."

Fjord looks briefly confused. He pieces together Wursh means half-orc blood. Don't let orcs or humans define you.

0:42:48 Fjord: "They don't look unkindly on our kind where you come from?"

0:42:53 Wursh: "Don't get too many human folk up north."

Fjord nods.

0:42:58 Fjord: "Why'd you come here, anyway?"

Wursh: "Well, I had an apprenticeship up north, or was trying to go for it. But they, uh, it's a bit dangerous in the alps to get to the sanctum, so I headed south."

0:43:11 Fjord: "Dangerous for someone your size?"

Wursh: "When you're traveling solo, yeah."

Fjord looks down, thinking something over.

0:43:20 Fjord: "If you had the right folk heading up that way, would you consider heading up there again?"

Matt: "He looks around the shop."

Wursh: "Maybe. Making easy money here. Not too bad. Feeling a little… I don't know, stifled by all this night, but, you know, I'm learning, I'm training."

Fjord nods.

0:43:59 Wursh: "Look, I don't want to take too much of your time. I'm just saying… you walking everywhere with your pelvis forward like that and looking to start a fight with anybody that calls you on, well, that attitude, you're going to end up shivved."

Fjord contemplates that.

0:44:18 Fjord: "And I appreciate you looking out."

0:44:21 Wursh: "I'm just saying, don't let any of that bullshit affect you. Just be confident in who you are. Don't try and prove anything."

Fjord, nodding: "Try not to let the heat get to you in here. I'm sure we'll see each other again, Wursh."

Wursh: "Maybe, Fjord, maybe."

0:44:43 Travis: "I reach out my hand."

Matt: "He, like, goes, turns, stops, kind of goes like,"

Wursh makes an affirmative sound and grips Fjord's hand.

Travis: "His fingers wrap around."

Matt: "Yeah. It's like a-" he demonstrates a firm hand clench. "He heads out inside and kind of shoulders past you all."

0:44:58 Jester: "Woah."

0:44:59 Caduceus: "I don't know how he did that. that was amazing."

0:45:00 Jester: "That was- I mean, like, did you see how… many abs he had."

0:45:05 Caduceus: "I mean… I mean even his advice had abs. That was crazy."

Jester: "That was crazy."

Travis, laughing: "His advice?"

0:45:09 Caduceus: "He just… It just like, broke through layers of walls with that guy. I mean, he just never just… I mean… How did that happen?"

0:45:18 Fjord: "Cool tattoos, huh?"

Jester: "Really cool tattoos."

Caduceus: "Super cool tattoos. they were very good, I mean, very impressive.

Yasha: "Yeah, that was amazing."

Jester: "He's pretty cool."

Caduceus: "Yeah."

Fjord looks at them quizzically.

Yasha: "He seemed like a super nice guy."

Caduceus, nodding to Fjord: "He seemed really nice."

Fjord makes a face and scratches his nose to cover it.

0:45:30 Fjord: "What else do we need?"

They discuss what they need to buy.

0:45:51 Laura: "As we walk, I pat Fjord's shoulder, and I say,"

Jester: "Don't worry, Fjord, you have really good abs, too. I felt them."

Fjord, waving her off: "Jester, you don't have to make me feel better about my abs."

Jester: "And you're taller than me. You're really tall in comparison to me."

Fjord, scratching his head uncomfortably: "Yeah, I- Yep, I sure am.'

Jester: "Yeah."

0:46:07 Fjord: "That was just a very large gentleman in there."

Jester: "Yeah. He was pretty big. But sometimes that's not a good thing, you know? Sometimes being a normal size is good, too."

Fjord narrows his eyes and looks like he doesn't know where she's going and he's not sure he likes it.

Caduceus: "What a normal size?"

Fjord: "A normal size?"

Jester: "Yeah, like me. That's a good thing."

Fjord, sarcastically: "I have to be above average. Just so you're aware"

Jester, realizing she's digging herself in a hole: "And then somebody that's even bigger than normal like you are is really good, too, it's like a nice thing! Shit; help me, Yasha."

Yasha: "No, it's okay. You look great."

Travis: "I look up at Yasha."

Fjord looks slightly put-out.

Yasha: "Yes, you're so close to me in size."

Fjord: "Mmhm."

Yasha: "Wait, is some of your… family as big as him?"

0:46:44 Fjord, cluelessly shaking his head: "I don't know who my family is, so I don't think so."

Taliesin, with a skeptical smile: "Insight check."

Taliesin was waiting for something. He rolls a 22.

0:47:02 Travis: "I don't know who my family is."

Taliesin: "Cool. Alright."

Yasha: "You've never known your family?"

0:47:06 Fjord, shrugging: "No. I'm an orphan."

Caduceus: "Really? Huh."

Nott: "So that guy could have been your cousin or something. You don't know."

Caduceus: "I mean, I don't see a resemblance, but…"

Jester: "He did have an accent similar to yours."

Nott: "He did."

Fjord, tensely and annoyed: "Uh huh. Little bit of a, you know, difference." He makes a swap gesture.

Jester: "Just in height."

Nott: "Yeah."

Jester: "But, you know, you looked pretty similar in teeth." Immediate look of regret. "Nope, your teeth are not- I don't- You really didn't look alike. But you had similar accents!"

Fjord, pulling his shirt down and looking really uncomfortable: "Boy!"

Caduceus: "[Could] plant a tree in that hole."

Nott: "The accent was a good tell, yeah, it's true."

Fjord crosses his arms.

Yasha: "It's- who raised you then?"

0:47:46 Fjord: "Uh… The kids around me, I guess. Just kind of learned from being around other orphans."

Caduceus studies him and process that sadly.

Caduceus: "Wow."

0:47:54 Fjord: "Yeah, it wasn't a great place. Driftwood Asylum is very…" He waves off his hand.

Jester: "Asylum!?"

Nott: "Like an orphanage?"

Fjord: "Yeah."

Yasha: "Driftwood Asylum?"

Fjord: "Mmhm."

0:48:04 Nott: "And you didn't even have, you know, like, your muscles to protect you. So, you had to rely on wits and cleverness."

Fjord scratches his face uncomfortably.

0:48:11 Fjord: "I mean, to be fair, I actually was a bit bigger than other kids when I was younger. Half-orcs tend to grow a bit faster, but yeah, I just tend to get picked on a lot. Only one of me around."

Caduceus: "Driftwood Asylum?"

Fjord: "Yeah."

0:48:25 Caduceus: "Someone named an orphanage after wood that needs to be somewhere else or really just wants to go somewhere else? That's just-"

Nott: "It’s also wood that if you find it, you know, it's nice. Sometimes they make art out of it and stuff."

0:48:36 Fjord: "I didn't say it was a great place."

Caduceus: "Wow."

Fjord: "Yeah."

Caduceus: "You lave layers. I feel I just learn something new every day."

Fjord eyes him suspiciously.

Yasha: "Yeah."

0:48:47 Caduceus: "Uh, where to, captain?"

5. Do you believe in aliens or ghosts? I believe in ghosts but not really in aliens? The term ‘aliens’ is so stigmatized, that I don’t support this term and it’s definition. But somehow I slightly believe that humans are not the only ones in space.

6. Who is your favorite author? Haruki Murakami

7. What is your favorite radio station? I don’t really listen to radio, but when I do, I skip along through every station while driving car.

8. What is your favorite flavor of anything? I love to try the variety of all the flavors, but my go to flavor is definitely chocolate hehe.

9. What word would you use often to describe something great or wonderful? Lovely or Cute/Adorable. I love it when something or someone is just themselves and it’s so pure and lovely and I want to give it/them all my heart.

15. Do you play video games? Currently I play ‘The Last of Us’. But rather than playing I really loooove to watch Let’s Plays of for example ‘Detroit: Become Human’, ‘Resident Evil’ aaand so on.

16. What is your biggest fear? Darkness & Loneliness. 

17. What is your best quality, in your opinion? I can be really spontaneous and would steal a car to drive to the ocean just for one hour so we can watch the sunset. Also I am really honest. You did something bad that’s not quite acceptable? Let’s talk it out and I will stay by your side to help you change your thinking/behavior or simply your mistake (vice versa counts for me).

18. What is your worst quality, in your opinion? My mind. I get nervous and tell myself that I am weird and that I am just annoying. That happens even when I am with my closest friends. Plus, I am sometimes very hot tempered. In a conflict I want to understand what my opposite thinks and what their opinion is, but it turns into me shouting quite fast.

19. Do you like cats or dogs better? Honestly I like both, but since I am allergic to cats, I love and praise doggos.

Antonio Cavalli

A chill wind buffets a small crowd as they shuffled into the shelter of a grand theater. The building served as both a grand theater where many historic actors took stage over the years and recently housed the Krytan College of arts. 

Before the imposing building stood Antonio adjusting his scarf as he looked up along the detailed facade that immortalized the art that had gone before it. It now sported a banner hanging from two pillars far above his head. It read "open auditions all are welcome” in cheery bright colors and artistic font. Pushing a knot down his throat he pressed on with the crowd to step through the open oaken doors into the main lobby. Immediately he felt a warmth as the college employed some magic to keep the cold from seeping in from the outside. Before him the crowd split as people went to different booths to sign up for the upcoming production. Some were auditioning to be actors and others were interning for backstage and costuming. 

Once it was his turn he stepped forward to the auditions booth and gave the woman behind the desk a smile. “Hello, welcom- Oh Antonio, you are back. Out to try again?” the woman gave him a smile in return one seeming to be more forced than genuine. “I..I think I can do it this time!” he answered in a false confidence to assure her which she nodded and said. “You get them...same role as normal?” 

“No, I think I will try for...” he pointed to one of the staring roles. The play was to be open to all auditions however some places people assumed the normal suspects would occupy spots. The event was more to find talent and give experience for people rather than to upset the status quo. 

“Are...Are you sure? Well...here I was thinking you would be suited for soldier. Our normal stand in is sick or...wait no that was who he was playing. He got attacked by one of those manta ray things people ride. Tragic really.” 

Antonio blinks at this before shrugging. “No, I need to face it and give it my all. This way I know that I won’t get the part -before- I try...Anyways yes sign me up for that please.” he gives a chipper smile before awkwardly fidgeting with his scarf. 

“Alright Antonio if you think it’s best but...you know who is probably going to get that role...” 

Antonio gives a short sigh as he says. “Brad...freaken Brad...I hate that guy...but everyone likes him.” he said candidly to the woman who simply nods in agreement. “Freaken Brad” she echos. “Well good luck Antonio we will call your number when we are ready.” 

“Alright!” he said in a overly ambitious tone that he instantly regretted as people around him looked his way for a moment. He winces as he rubs the back of his head before quickly snapping his number off and taking his packet of lines he was to read from. Slipping through the crowd he made a quick b line to a small staircase off to the side of the lobby. Once there he peeked about before unhooking a velvet rope that blocked the staircase. He looked about before stepping past and hooking it back before quietly ascending up.

The staircase lead to a old dilapidated private box overlooking the main stage. The personal box of some prominent member of high society at one point or another but now had long been unused. The insides of the box housed two people comfortably with a small table between. The cushy seats now long been dirtied with time and the walls of the box chipping. It was his little hideaway while he learned his lines. However as he stepped into it with light feet sitting at the chair on the left was a older gentlemen. Antonio gave pause seeing the man but then he smiles. “Oh you made it, I didn’t know if you would.” he addressed the man in a friendly manner before he moved to sit down to the right. 

The man kept his eyes down to the stage below to watch the hustle and bustle about to prepare for the auditions going on. Despite the nature of the event the man wore a finely tailored suit that was adorned with gold trimmings. His hands lightly rested on the arm rests clad in white gloves which had naught a wrinkle. The man held a noble air which was obvious but also something more. “You came back, I thought I told you this old box is private, boy.” the man spoke in the old Krytalian accent though faint and lingering in the air. 

“Well I wasn’t sure if you would be here today. It is just a audition...and I suppose I have been sneaking up here.” Antonio leans back into the chair. “So how are they doing? do I have to worry about Brad today?”

“That Brad has half the chops of my boy. Just because his family was from the acursed Ascalon he gets the part. Woe is me and the like...the boy doesn’t have anything other than his pitiful sad shtick. Someone needs to dethrone that wanna be.” 

Giving a sheepish smile Antonio looked down onto the stage. “Well...As it were to be, I am challenging him. Not that I really stand a chance I am not really sure about it but I am going to give it my best, Mr. Fontana.” 

“You? Challenge him? Kid you also don’t have the chops...” the man grew quiet for a moment before saying. “But I suppose if people see you try maybe others will follow.” His words were cold but Antonio didn’t mind as he scanned his lines in silence. 

Some time passes as both sit in the relative quiet of the box high above the stage. Mr. Fontana speaks up breaking the silence between the two. “Antonio...I wanted to thank you. Coming to this old box after all that’s happened was hard but...I suppose you helped make it tolerable. After all the money I put into this place to make sure my boy would have a good acting career and only for my own personal box to be in such a state...” he softly cursed before continuing. “I know I am hard on you Antonio but you got it in you. You roll with the punches and maybe you aren’t great now but keep it up and you will be shooting for the stars kid.” 

Antonio felt a sense of warm over come him as he looks towards the man. “Thank you Mr. Fontana...I will do my best and then some...you didn’t tell me you had a child.” 

“I obviously don’t like to talk about him.” he said sharply at Antonio’s comment. 

“Hey, no it’s fine Mr. Fontana I didn’t want to pry. I can understand that pain...I lost my mother when I was very young. I can only really remember very small things about her. Even then I am unsure if they are even true but I am afraid to ask my brothers if it was least my only memories about her are false. It’s weird actually, father hardly spoke about her when I grew up. He’s a soldier through and through you know. Born with ice in his veins and steel in his hands...He...I don’t think he took moms death well. When he was around he pushed us hard to learn how to defend ourselves. Donatello by practicing magic, Federico by being him...and eventually me...he was different with me though. He neither pushed me to the limit like Federico or made me learn magic like Donatello. I am not his child...but he treated me more like a father would to his child than he did Federico or Donatello. Anyways off point, you don’t need to tell me anything Mr. Fontana. But as much as I can be I am here for you if you do want to talk.” 

A silence once again forms over them as Antonio goes back to reading his lines and mouthing his lines. A understanding forms between them before from around them a voice filters through the air. “Will number 44 please come to the main stage for your audition.” 

With that Antonio stood up and stretched. “Well that was me. Here I go doing something stupid but fortune favors the bold.” he grins to the man before saying. “I hope I don’t ruin our friendship by you seeing my audition.” 

The man waves him off before saying. “Go break a leg kid.” 

With that Antonio heads down the stairs and slipping past the velvet rope before stepping through a open door to the stage. He tried to confidently walk past the judges to mount the spot where he was in clear view of them. “When you are ready.” 

Gazing up to the box high above Antonio took a breath. He opens his mouth and in a shaky stammering voice he says. “Hello, my name Antonio Cavalli...I am auditioning for the position of the prince.” a hushed conversation ensues as he says this before they nod. “Go on.” 

He took a moment of respite by closing his eyes and forcing his nerves to quell. He counted to three and then opened his eyes and in a clear voice he began to read his lines.

He would, in the moment, not feel he was doing anything particularly special as he would just run on auto pilot but after he was finished the gathered people would be quiet. A sinking pit formed in his stomach as he reached up to fidget with his scarf but to his surprise the group started to clap. “Stunning, stunning! I think we may have a long discussion about this part. Thank you Mr. Cavalli. Please we will be in touch.” 

Beaming from ear to ear Antonio gave a small bow before hurriedly rushing off to find a bathroom to ensure his stomach’s contents wouldn't be spilled on the nice parts of the theater. 

High above Mr. Fontana clapped. The sound drowned out by the others but for a moment a smile formed before he turned and walked out of the box. Like the lights being cut after a play he was gone leaving nothing behind.

1. What’s your favorite candle scent?

Honestly? I’m a basic bitch xD I love vanilla scented anything. Wooden wicks are the BEST. I want to find a candle that smells like fresh cut grass and a candle that smells like lumber. Those two scents, especially together, remind me of my grandpa who worked in a lumber yard and repaired lawn mowers. I treasure those memories so much omg.

2. What female celebrity do you wish was your sister?

I’ve only seen one ocean, the Pacific Ocean. I don’t know if I’ve swam in it, though. I know I’ve touched it and waded in it a little, but I don’t know if I’ve actually gone swimming...

9. How many countries have you been to?

2! Just Canada and the US. I’ve always wanted to go to England and Indonesia, though! I love Harry Potter, I always have (fucking fight me) and I decided when I was little that England was a must for me, that I had to go see Hogwarts. And Indonesia, my inner volcanologist NEEDS to go! That’s where my favourite volcano, Krakatoa, is located. 

10. Is anyone in your family in the army?

I hope not! I don’t think so. Or... Maybe? I think my cousin Austin is. I don’t know. I don’t remember the last time I saw him. We don’t really talk about him? My boyfriends dad was, though. That’s all I know.

11. What would you name your daughter if you had one?

OO OO OO!!!! So, my boyfriend and I have discussed this! I have a set of dog tags that I always wear that have our names and our kids names on them! We want two girls who will be named Raven Zaidee Trujillo and Dexter Rosie Trujillo. Dexter’s middle name was originally going to be Bonnuit (French for good night) but one of his best friends was sadly murdered earlier this year and he wanted to honor her memory.

12. What would you name your son if you had one?

ANOTHER QUESTION I AM EXCITED TO ANSWER!!!!! Our little boys name is going to be Blade Wayne Trujillo!!! I’ve always had a thing for the name Blade and Wayne was his dads middle name.

13. What’s the worst grade you got on a test?

Ffffffff I can’t even remember what I did yesterday... Um, I think it was a flat out 0 because I didn’t even do the test. It was a physics test. I was scared of the student aid lady at school so I never switched out of physics and I literally used that block to sleep and play on my phone. I never even showed up to write the exam.

14. What was your favorite TV show when you were a child?

Sailor Moon!!! I fucking LOVED that show!!!! I also loved Little Bear :D When I was 12, though, I was OBSESSED with this show called Disasters of the Century. It was a documentary style tv show about natural disasters and plane and train crashes and it was SO COOL. I LOVED IT SO MUCH. I used to wake up extra early before school just to watch!!

15. What did you dress up as on Halloween when you were eight?

Ummm…. I think I was a ninja? I remember I wore my karate gi out one year. I lived in Alberta at the time so there was like 2 or 3 feet of snow on the ground so I had to wear a snowsuit under my costume which was a HUGE disappointment because I was turned into a marshmallow rather than a ninja. Either that or I was Harry Potter. It was great! People always asked me though if I would rather be Hermione because I was a girl and my parents essentially told them to fuck off because I was HARRY FUCKING POTTER.

16. Have you read any of the Harry Potter, Hunger Games or Twilight series?

YES. My apartment is almost entirely Harry Potter. I have an Expecto Patronum tattoo and my ratty memorial tattoo on my leg is also Harry Potter. I am a diehard fan until the end. Fucking fight me. I also read and own the Hunger Games trilogy. Such good books omg. I was in the Amazing Book Race club in school and one year we had to read The Hunger Games and we even did a book trailer for it! I still have it! We showed my boyfriend when he came out in April xD The books are MUCH better than the movies.

17. Would you rather have an American accent or a British accent?

British! Does my Harry Potter loving ass need to say more?

I don’t think so? I’m not sure. I don’t know if anyone in my family has.

19. Are your grandparents still married?

Kind of? Not really. My Papa passed away from lung cancer in 2010. 

20. Have you ever taken karate lessons?

Yes xD I started when I was 5 and I stopped when I was 13 I think? I got injured in a biking accident and had to leave. I was going to go back but as I was getting ready to, I got a really bad knee injury and I just haven’t been back. I really want to go back, though! It was fun and I don’t get nearly enough exercise.

21. Do you know who Kermit the frog is?

I sure as fuck hope I do!

22. What’s the first amusement park you’ve been to?

I think it was Playland, my parents would have taken me when I Was super young. But the first amusement park I remember going to is Callaway Park in Alberta. I loved that place! I remember throwing a temper tantrum because my dad told the lady was 6 when I was actually 8 and I LOST MY MIND.

23. What language, besides your native language, would you like to be fluent in?

Any language! I speak French but I would love to learn Michif which is the native language of Metis people as I am Metis c:

Yes, he is!

I was about to say no, but I think I met triplet babies once who I may or may not be distantly related to? I’m not actually sure anymore.

I’ve never actually seen either! I feel like the Titanic would be a no go for me, though, because I have issues with big boats and the fact that it’s real fucks me up and also James Cameron almost killed his cast by actually making them sit in ice cold water for the sake of hard nipples and realism????

I have had very badly made butter chicken once. It was so bad, WAY too much curry. And I think my boyfriend and I once ordered from an Indian restaurant. I ordered from the kids menu because that was the only place where there was non-spicy options xD

Umm... Hmm... White Spot? Maybe... But I also enjoy El Grullesays Grill... I slaughtered that name ;_; It’s a Mexican restaurant in California that serves meaty fries! God I miss meaty fries... They’re like nacho fries! They have mozzarella cheese, sour cream, green onions, and shredded steak :3

I actually don’t know. I think maybe? But I was too young to remember it. I think I’ve gotten leftovers, though, from when my grandma went.

I actually can never remember which is which and I mean, I’m not picky. As long as people leave me alone and I’m in a safe area, I’m happy xD

I do not. I used to want to when I was little. I have one in my bathroom, though.

Pfft. No. I’m not a breakfast person. I work nights so I get home at 7 in the morning so if I eat before I go to bed, no joke, I will just make a box of macaroni.

39. Do you take any pills or medication daily?

I do! I take medication for my ADHD so that I don’t eat everything in my apartment and I can function somewhat normally.

40. What medical conditions do you have?

I am ADHD, I struggle with depression (it’s not nearly as bad as it use to be luckily), anxiety, I suspect BPD. I have a few joint injuries that will never really properly heal but other than that, nothing.

41. How many times have you been to the hospital?

Hehehe…. Um… For me? Food poisoning… injuries… suicide attempts… hmmm… 11 or 12 times? All but one in the last 10 years. What can I say, I’m clumsy as fuck xD

Yes! I love that movie!! 

43. Where do you buy your jeans?

Pennington’s. I am THICC. It’s the only place I can get jeans that fit without destroying what little confidence I have. Sadly though they are NOT cheap so I currently only own 2 pairs that fit me and the thighs on both are destroyed so they are being held together by denim patches from an old pair of shorts, fabric glue and some mediocre hand stitching.

44. What’s the last compliment you got?

I have vibrantly coloured hair. Right now, it’s green. I’ve had very brightly coloured hair since I was 15 I think? My natural colour is brown. I’ve only had brown hair once since I started dying it and that was when I went to go visit my boyfriend for the first time because he had never seen me with my natural colour. I just said that I looked weird with brown hair and he said “No, you look incredible.”

45. Do you usually remember your dreams in the morning?

Hmm, sometimes. Most of the time, I do. Been having a lot of nightmares and stress dreams lately, though, so I wish I didn’t...

I absolutely prefer herbal teas. My favourite is Just Peachy from DavidsTea!! I also REALLY love White Peach omg

Ahh…. Hmm…. I have… 8 or 9? I think? I’m not home so I can’t check.

48. What religion will you raise your children to practice?

None. I grew up Atheist. I knew of religion, obviously. My grandma is religious. But I just never understood it. My understanding was that there was a God and that he lived in the clouds and I remember looking at the sky one day and there were no clouds and I was concerned. I also didn’t understand Heaven or Hell because neither have been seen and the lack of tangibility fucked with me so hard. My grandpa got really sick in 2009, he had lung cancer. I remember when he was in the hospital I really tried to look for something, anything, to turn to for comfort because everything was falling apart around me. He unfortunately passed away and I was angry because if God is real and if he actually loved us, why would he let us suffer the way that he did, the way that I was. How dare he?! That was honestly the last straw for me. If my children want to explore religion or they want to go to church and see what it’s all about, I will absolutely support them in doing so, but I will not raise them in any specific religion.

49. How old were you when you found out that Santa wasn’t real?

That was something I just kind of grew out of. I was never exclusively told that any of that was fake. I actually have a memory from when I was 3 or 4 of sneaking out of my room really late at night and peeking into the living room where I could hear my parents talking and I saw Santa and Mrs. Clause? I also remember one Christmas night where I couldn’t sleep (this is when I was maybe 10 now) so I was watching the snow fall outside and seeing if I could spot Santa in the sky when I heard someone walking in the hall. I lived in a bit of an abusive household so I had learned what everyone’s footsteps sounded like and the footsteps were heavy, MUCH heavier than my dads (who was very overweight at the time), it definitely wasn’t my Uncle, and they were wearing shoes (or boots). I was too scared to go look outside while they walked away but after the house was quiet again, I checked, and my stocking was outside my door, so I still don’t know how to explain that...
