Summary: You had a long morning, and you didn't even get enough sleep so now you are very tired, But sitting with them in the courtyard during lunch break, while they talk you find yourself falling asleep, your head on their shoulder.

Trey

Trey would most definitely care for you alot. He would let you sleep, Not even move once. If the bell rings, he might aswell just carry you to the infirmary to get some sleep there (He definitely made an excuse for you to sleep there) and he'll ask your classmates (if you aren't classmates w him) for any assignments.

A pure gentleman he is, he plans to go to you and bring you a bunch of sweets that he baked, and give you the list of assignments. Probably also volunteer to help you with your assignments. But yeah, he would let you rest that he would even carry you in the infirmary.

Trey is talking about baking again. You can't catch what he's saying, He's talking too quick. "[Name], dove, Are you okay?" He calls out, You turn your head to the side to look at him. "..Huh?.. Yeah.. 'm alright.." You answer. Trey can tell you are not alright. "Dove, What'd I say about lying?" He pulls you closer to take a closer look of your face. "..I'm not alright." You say. Sometimes your lying just works like when you lied to him about not taking a brownie but this day seems like a bad time to lie. "What's wrong?" He asks you, clearly worried.

You lightly trace your hand to his, holding it and leaning your head against his shoulder. "'m just tired, nothing serious.." It took a while for Trey to respond, He just stared at you for a few seconds, but you hear a light chuckle from him, holding your hand tightly. "Long day?" Trey asks. "..Mhm.. Yeah.." You mumble. "Alright, I won't waste your time anymore, I'll wake you up when the bell rings." He drags his lips against your head, kissing you softly. You close your eyes. "Sleep well, Dove."

Jamil

Jamil would know. But he would ask you and be all complany about it (but he's our lovely gordon ramsay boy.) Yet, He's still worried. You know who doesn't care about his scoldings? You. You're so tired you don't even care of what he says. Maybe you would care later, but right now.. No.

If you sleep on his shoulder, he'll start complaining but trust me if you say you'll just sleep with the bugs HE'S GONNA DRAG YOU BACK TO HIM BEFORE YOU EVEN GET THERE. We love our germaphobe boy<3

"[Name], You've been dozing off when I asked you to help me." Jamil points out. "Mhm.." You reply. "And when I asked you to get the salt, You took the black pepper!" He complains. "Mhm.." You repeat. He just goes on with the complaints but you repeat the same answer all over again, until he realized you've been doing that. "[Name], Are you even listening?!" You couldn't answer anymore, You rest your head on his shoulder. But the complains woke you up more. "And you're just gonna sleep? I'm not done yet!" You click your tongue. "..Alright.. I'll just sleep with the bugs." You rub your eye, Ready to stand up and leave to sleep someplace else.

But before you even stand on your feet, his arms wrap around you and pull you back down, The back of your head laying on his chest. You look up at him, "..You're red.." You point out. "I know! Just- Great Sevens.. Go sleep. I'll just keep the thoughts to myself." He hugs you tightly. You smile softly, it's too obvious that he doesn't want you to go It's so cute. "You can scold me later when I have enough energy to explain myself." You say, turning around to face him and wrapping your arms around his waist, getting ready to sleep once again. "Fine.. Don't get a nightmare.." As your eyes are shut, you chuckle before staying quiet and take a nap.

Azul

Azul can be a tease, sometimes. Learned two types of teasing from the Leech twins: Mocking and pity teasing. Which one would he use? Of course the pity teasing one. He can be smug too, but I doubt you would even care, you're too tired for his dingley dangley b-s.

But, He'll stop eventually. Continue reading the history book while you rest on him. Every once in a while he would always look at you to see if you're awake or uncomfortable. You aren't, by the way, It feels so nice sleeping on him you could stay like that forever.

Watching him read a history book is boring, He isn't even talking. You feel the tension grow. You yawn softly. "Exhausted now, Are we?" Azul says, fixing his glasses up and looking at you. "Mhm.." You nod, he hums and goes back to reading. You are so tired you weren't even thinking as you place your head on his shoulder and closed your eyes. "You must be so tired, You poor unfortunate soul.." He whispers. "How strong is the stress? Someone like you, wouldn't be able to handle such thing.."

"Mm.." You answer quietly. Slowly drifting to sleep.. Azul stops talking. "You're so adorable." He mumbles under his breath. You didn't know what he said, but you're sure he said you were adorable. admiring? dearing? Either of those three, but those are all so far off from being called an insult. A short while of silence, as you completely rest. Azul flips through the pages, every 5 minutes he looks at you. "Still not uncomfortable?" He asks himself. "Must be enjoying sleeping on me, I wouldn't mind if you do it again, my dear."

Luke's head snapped up.

"What?"

"Please hurt me", you repeated, your eyes showing no signs that you might be joking.

Your boyfriend's eyebrows furrowed as he sat up straight on the couch.

"What?", he asked once more, "Y/N -"

"Please", you almost whispered. You felt so anxious, you just wanted to cry and you wanted to feel something.

"I would never-", he stood up, walking the few steps over to you, "I would never do that, Y/N"

Luke took your hands in his, squeezing them when he immediately noticed the way you avoided eye contact and your lower lip was quivering.

"Talk to me", he said quietly, "What's going on?"

You started chewing on your lip, staying quiet as you shrugged weakly.

But Luke was patient, he waited until you were ready to talk, and he listened when you finally whispered: "I don't feel good."

He squeezed your hands in encouragement to keep ypu talking.

"And just... I... you know, pain makes me forget about the emotional pain, so I thought we could..."

"Y/N", Luke's serious expression made you bite your quivering lip, "Are you trying to insinuate that we have a painful sexlife for you to use it like self harm?"

"It's - Luke, it's not a 'painful' sex life"

"I know, I worded that weirdly", he smiled for a split second, "but you didn't answer my question"

And you continued to stay quiet, which was his answer.

"Y/N", he whispered, pulling you closer so you were standing in between his legs. He looked up at you for another moment, eyes glassy, then he wrapped his arms tightly around your middle and pressed his face into your tummy.

You expected him to let go again but he didn't. He just kept hugging you tightly, not moving an inch, not saying a word.

"Luke?", your voice quivered still.

He just shook his head and pressed himself closer to you.

"I want you to know", he finally said, well, mumbled into your belly, "that I would never ever hurt you. And you shouldn't want to hurt yourself. I understand you want that but you need care, not pain."

"Don't make me cry", you warned, voice barely a whisper. You knew he was right but you had never been cared for the way you craved, and when you had asked for it you had been pushed away, not taken seriously.

But now Luke was here and he wanted to give you all you wanted. All you needed. But you had never had someone like him your whole life and it scared you. Made you want to push him away.

You told him this and he nodded along. He understood you, he had feelings like that, too, sometimes.

"M gonna take care of you, baby", he whispered, big blue eyes looking up at you, "M gonna love you, I love you"

You bit your lip harder, breaking it a little even, as you let yourself be pulled down into Luke's lap on the bed and then turned around and laid down.

Luke immediately crawled next to you, his curly head laid on your chest, his cheek pressed over your heart, arm draped safely over your stomach and one of his thighs inbetween yours.

You both laid on the soft sheets for a while, not saying anything as your tears silently fell. Luke knew what you needed, he knew exactly what you needed.

And he knew when you had calmed down, relaxed enough so he leaned on his elbows, bracing you under him and began pressing featherly soft kisses onto your collarbones, shoulders, chin and neck.

He kept mumbling small "I love you"s and "you're so gorgeous, my beautiful girl" into your skin.

You felt weak but that was okay. Your boyfriend was taking care of you like no one ever had before.

You didn't know how to handle it, but Luke assured you that that was okay. "Just relax, I'll do everything, just lay here, baby", he said quietly. His smile as he said that was so genuine.

And even when,after some time it begin to be obvious (except for himself) haddock was dumbfounded.

Overal,you thanked Haddock for it later.

Remember when i said that he always give a kiss of goodbye and when he came back?

If he forget,he'll walk back to give the kiss,he need it to start his day properly.

But if he remember about it too far from home,as soon he come back,will make up for it in anyway. A flower,little gift,whatever.

Sometimes you have to remind him of eating (it's basically canon that Tintin don't care too much about food,he just eat because he need to). Things always goes:

This always work to make him stop,look at the clock and then back for you. He sigh getting up and walking over to you with a defeated smile.

Stare. We all know that every time,mostly, he hold or follow the peoples gaze while speaking,then expect him looking dead into your eyes while saying how much he love you or just complimenting you in any way.

He do it to show how serious he is tho (words of affirmation 😌🙏🏽)

He like to go out with you,but what he love the most is just to lie down on the couch or bed with you doing nothing. It's his definition of a perfect quality time.

If you know something that can be useful about some case of his,Tintin will ask for your help right away so you don't feel left out

just don't think he'll bring you along because his utmost fear is you end up hurt or worst if you go along.

He's protective for obvious reasons.

Another thing about the stare,you can easily catch him just watching you doing whatever. Cooking,singing,reading,painting or drawing (if you know).

He's admiring and taking mental notes of your little things to compliment it later.

Tintin's a morning person so normally,when you wake up he'll probably have a mug of fresh hot coffee ready to help you wake up

He adore to see your sleepy face and messy hair,try me.

If he finds the clue to solve the case, with or without your help, he'll end up doing the same thing he did to Haddock.

I solely know that this is the high point for him.

Tintin loves hearing his name falling from your lips in a whimper or silent moan.

Definitily proud if he end up making you scream his name (he can. Easily. Try me)

Marks. Probably most of them will be hickyes,he only bites to tease so it don't leave a mark.

But he love receiving it. Bites,hickyes or (favorite one) back scratchs.

He like to feel that slight aching feeling from what your nails had done to his back on the day after.

Fun fact: Mrs Finch really end up complaining about the noises,he profusely said sorry with an awkaward face. After this,he closed the door letting a deep and embarrassed sigh and from this day on you two only do this when she's out lol.

Okay!! Because I'm not a huge fan of the format of long twitter threads, and this whole thing got kinda long 😅 I figured it could be best to post these story idea ramblings to Tumblr! So lol, prepare for some ramblings sabout my Ghost and Soap AU that's post MW2 campaign where Simon leaves the army to raise his nephew after his fam are killed.

This is all based off the au from this fic I wrote 🙈 if you want more context, you can find some here!

I just have a lot of ideas for this au and wanted to share some that I'll probably never be able to write, but yeah. Lmk if you guys have any thoughts! 😊

Price swears to Simon, in that hospital room a few days after the attack on Simon's fam, where Jo is lying injured and unconscious, but stable, that he will track down Roba and his men to get justice. He makes it a vow.

Theres not much development on the case for years tho. Maybe, after it initially happened, there was a brief investigation into it, but they ran into a lot of issues getting jurisdiction to operate in Mexico so the case went dry.

So, Simon has to learn to live with the fact that the people who did this to his family, and who tortured him, are still alive out there somewhere. But his nephew is his first priority, and he's accepted that too. He's not going to carelessly risk his life so he can't be there to raise his orphaned nephew in the name of revenge.

I don't think Simon, at this stage of his life, would be a violent revenge seeker? Perhaps if he is pushed too far, but let's not go there yet hahhaha.

Also, he's with Soap too, who helps ground him and keep him level headed.

Anyways, years later, Price calls Simon up, telling him of their update on the case. Maybe Roba has been located, and they only have a few day window to act. 

Price shows him the layout of the compound. Simon recognizes it. It's where he was kept captive for months all those years ago. Price offers that, if he wants, there's a spot on the squad for him. His Intel could be valuable. And he's cleared it with a lot of the other high ups to bring Simon along, or just didn't give them a choice, lol. (I have no idea if this would actually be possible irl, to have an SAS soldier who left the ranks, rejoin for a covert mission, but bare with me. Price can make it happen in this AU 🤣)

Simon has been out of active service for 5/6 years at this point though. And Price is asking him if he wants back in for one final op. Joseph is now around 10 years old maybe. He and Soap have been in a steady relationship for 5, Soap still serving in the military.

Anyways, cue big moment of Ghost picking up his old skull mask again. One he hasn't worn in 6 years. Holding the fabric brings back a lot of old memories for him. It feels heavy in his hands. He had changed so much since when he was the man who wore this mask...

but he still had it in him. He knew he did, deep down.

But did he want to *go* there, was he ready? Was it appropriate?

Would he be letting down Joseph though, if he agreed to this op?

What would Soap's feelings on the matter be?

But ultimately, Ghost agrees to it. I think he would need to take some time to consider it though. Maybe talk it through with the bf, Soap. But I think Simon would come to the conclusion that the team would be safest with him on the squad because of his existing knowledge of the compound. And he'd maybe feel safer being there himself, there to try to help the others if they run into trouble fighting his demons.

He does tell Price he has one condition about the op though, is that nobody dies. And he doesn't plan on dying either. He has to live for Joseph, and for Soap, too.

Jo is maybe 9 or 10 at this point. When Simon and Soap go away, I don't think Simon would tell Jo the real nature of his mission. He wouldn't lie to him, but the truth is a lot for a 10 year old to take in right? Maybe he says the mission is going to be scary, but that he's going to do his best to make sure they all make it back okay.

Maybe Joseph stays with one of Soap's sisters.

Ghost feels terrible to do this to Jo but he has to stop Roba from doing this again.

And blabkabla stuff happens and Simon makes it back okay tho yayyyyy 🤣

Her and her dad were super close when she was little, and they are still very close now

Natsu is so proud of his little girl.

"their not dating my ass," but he mostly keeps it to himself. they will tell everyone when their ready (totally not connecting that he and lucy had that same kinda relationship when they were younger)

be buys her and her brother a gift if he's gone on a long mission

when she was a teen, her and her mom had BEEF

nashi would not listen to a word she said even if it was for the best

nashi was just sick of having her tell her what to do

she grew out of it by her late teens' early 20s, tho

they were super close when she was a kid and are becoming closer now that shes out her teenage angst era

even though they had a rocky couple of years, they would still do magic lessons on wednesdays

before they go for their weekly lessons, they get coffee or tea at the local cafe that opened up down the street

Lucy gets a mocha latte and Nashi gets a boba tea

they talk about books and how their week has been and general catch up since sometimes their schedules dont sync up

these two, even in nashis' teen years, they gossip to each other about stuff happening in the guildhall while the other was away

nashi also tells her mom everything shes been working on in her studies at FSI

lucy is always ecstatic since some of it is stuff that isnt public knowledge yet

luxy tries really hard to be a good mother to her kids and now that nashi isnt a kid anymore she sees how much work and love her mom gives to make their family happy

Neil

She low key thinks he's a babied brat

They "fight" a lot. mostly about trivial things, but it never gets serious. its mostly teasing

they dont throw hands often with eachother its mostly verbal

Lucy would ground them for fighting, and they would both be like "moooom >:( we were just having a little fun"

he breaks into her apartment several times a week to steal snack on the way to the guild

when he tries to set up a prank in her apartment maree catches him like 75% of the time

she just kinda backs away and doesn't snitch because she thinks it'll be funny

sometimes hed just break in to knock a drink off her counter and turn the lights off or just generally be a nuisance for a hot second then just leave

nashi never gave him a key. This guy just breaks in through her window.

sometimes loke lets him in tho

he stays with them when his parents are on a long mission

not because he needs someone to watch him but because he gets bored in an empty house

they very much have the "only I'm allowed to be mean to my sibling" dynamic and will fight anyone who tries to break that

when they both were living under the same roof, it was incredibly chaotic but once she moved out he missed her a lot

hed never tell her that tho

he joins her on smaller jobs when she can just go by herself

he joins in because "a lady shouldn't travel alone!" but he just wants to hang out with her

when she was younger and more rowdy, he would try to keep her out of trouble but would get wrapped up in whatever prank she was doing at the time

he would join her for mostly every job for this reason, but since neil goes out on jobs alone now, he mostly joins him (and ofc he joins natsu and lucy on theirs aswell when they do big ones)

he steals food from her apartment with neil

he teases her like like how he teases lucy but ofc its all light hearted

I answered this one here, bUT I'll give you another one, which is also a spoiler for a possible future multi-chapter fanfic I've been thinking about for a while and recently I'm entertaining the idea of actually try to write it? We'll see. Anyway I have this idea that the Valkyries (well, Nesta, at least, since she's the one who's part of the Inner Circle) will "give up" their citizenship? And they're not members of the Night Court anymore? Or they're just a private citizen like any other? I still have to think this trough, but they're going to do all that because they are going to tour around Prythian to recruit and train more females and officially revive The Valkyries, and make them an army for the people: basically, there will be a base in every Court and legions/battalions for each, but overall they don't belong to a single Court but rather all of them, but really, if you think about it, none at all. They're like an independent army, the "neutral party" which will not stay so neutral if things get dirty. They'll stand for equality and freedom, they'll protect the innocents, and by not "legally" belonging to any Court they won't have a High Lord or High Lady that can order them around and such, so they'll be like an Eight Court of sorts without really being a Court at all. Oh bestie I'm so happy you asked this because y e s. Yes. Yes, I do. And I am completely cool about it. Not acting weird at all.

I'm almost done with the first draft of this personal project of mine that I've been working on and off for the past ..year..s? But I keep procrastinating so I've been "-10 chapters!!" for the past week, but still. To keep things sweet and short, I'll make you a list, because we love lists on this blog:

Crown of Thorns (4): (high?) fantasy; reluctant found family where each and every one of them is "in it" for their own personal gaining, but what started as a shallow "they took my crown from me so now I'll take it back because I can? and because I'm petty and hold grudges" will turn into "I have to stop the Lord of Darkness from coming back from the dead and destroy the world as we know it, and maybe start a revolution while I'm at it". It's messy, and sometimes I think I won't be able to pull this off the way I intended to (good intentions, bad delivery, you know?) so don't ask me to tell you more than this because I really don't know how without spoiling the entire thing;

Cursed Goddes/Blessed God (2): CoT spin-off that is actually a prequel and kind of explains/shows the events that led society to become the way it is in CoT and yes, I really did dig my own grave with this whole series, but now I'm in too deep to stop so down we go;

Kill Your Darlings (1): dark academia-ish, paranormal vibes and a hint of mystery, too? Think House of Anubis, but everyone is gay and mentally ill. That's it, that's the plot.

The Haven Island series (3): contemporary romance, interconnected standalones following a group of friends navigating life in their 20s, where every story is meant to represent a different aspect of girlhood/womanhood (aka toxic/abusive relationships, motherhood, sexism and mysoginy, etc.)

I'd also like to write something in the dystopian sub-genre, because who doesn't love that feeling of impending and unavoidable doom? But I have absolutely nothing in my hands if not some sort of relationship dynamics that for the sake of logic and coherency I had to cut out from the CoT plot, so, yeah, we're really basing it all on vibes at this point

8) What happens if one of you gets sick?

if tanjiro gets sick, he's trying not to be a burden at first and is probably pretending he's alright until it starts hitting him harder. he's not too bad, but he's not likely to just lay down and pretend like he's dying right off the bat. he'll fight it a little bit at first, but then he'll be like… okay i need to chill.

i do my best to take care of him, but ngl i have pretty bad health anxiety and getting sick freaks me out a lot LOL so i'm kinda keeping my distance while making sure he gets what he needs. i'll cook, give him all the right meds, etc., just like he would for me even if he tells me some things are unnecessary! he really appreciates it tho. but unfortunately i'm not cuddling him or anything until he's past the point of being contagious lmfao. and he definitely doesn't want me to get sick either!

42) What’s their favorite type of weather to enjoy together? (getting snowed in together, watching thunderstorms, etc.)

tanjiro's not picky, but he does love a good spring day where the sun is out but it's not too hot yet and there's a nice little breeze. and as long as my allergies are over with for the season, i very much enjoy it too lmao. i think it would be nice to take a walk somewhere quiet, maybe by a lake or something <3

11) Do either try to hide their emotions if upset? Can the other still tell?

yes for both of us LOL but megumi is a little more prone to hiding feelings. once i'm comfy, i'm a bit more expressive, but i certainly have my moments where i keep shit to myself when i'm super upset and it's not just something little. but i can usually tell when he's upset because i'm rather good at picking up on such things. he's not quite at my level of observation, but he gets better with time.

23) Who’s more likely to convince the other to stay in bed come morning?

that would be me. megumi's better at the whole 'early riser' thing and is mostly ready to get up and go. i, however, will lay there for an extended period of time if i don't have to get up for something lol

tanjiro — tbh i could kinda see us doing a bunch of diy projects?? like we're always tinkering and creating things to make stuff easier or more interesting. all while watching something on tv or listening to music and chatting!! it's just something fun to bring us together and also liven up our space!!

megumi — tbh megumi and i can just sit together in silence while watching a movie or doing different activities. we'll be reading separate things either cuddled up or just in the same space, enjoying each other's company until a conversation potentially sparks! as long as we're both in mutual understanding and one of us isn't like one-sided ignoring the other, things are fine lol (nothing pisses me off more than someone being like "let's watch a movie" or whatever and then they just get on their phone the whole time)

Infiltrating the castle!

Dark Meta Knight knew he'd need a disguise at some point. Taking off his mask and scratching Meta Knight's emblem off his pauldron wasn't going to be a good long term solution to his little problem. Even though no one would recognize him, rumors would definitely start popping up all over the place about a caped stranger. Unlike the mirror world, Dreamland inhabitants are awfully noisy and just can't seem to keep their mouths shut. News travels fast and soon enough, Meta Knight will know of his presence. That was something he wished to avoid at all costs. He wasn't ready to see him again, not yet. Maybe covering his body with leaves? He could use mud as glue, it would still work. Then again, maybe being a bush monster wasn't exactly the brightest idea, that would still make him awfully suspicious.

"Boo!"

"WHO-?!

........Oh….it's you. Hello, Galacta Knight…"

Out of nowhere, a familiar knight appeared from behind the trees, giving him the usual dumb smile on his face. This amused Dark Meta Knight, satisfied that the man he was looking for showed up right in front of him.

"Hello, Dark!"

"Dark?"

"Well…you never told me your name! So I took the "Dark" out of "Dark Meta Knight" for convenience. Speaking of which, what IS your real na-?"

"Enough, I'll get straight to the point. I came here for you."

"I-....f-for me?"

(….why is he acting so bashful? No matter…)

"Yes, I wish to make acquaintances with you. Ever since we first met, I wanted to get to know you a little better. "

"Oh! I- I didn't expect this! I wanted to know more about you as well but I never thought you'd take the initiative…"

"I am not like my br-.....my brot-....my b-broth-.......Meta Knight. I am not like Meta Knight, I am usually more open with my feelings. Now, for what I came for."

He walks closer towards Galacta Knight and lets go of his cape.

"You."

"I think you may want to rephrase that- I MEAN sure! Why not? I'm always happy to make a new friend! Tell you what, the self-proclaimed king of this star is holding a grand christmas party where everyone is invited!"

"Is that so?"

"Mhm, let's get out of here first, I want to show you something."

He extends a hand out to the knight, waiting patiently to see if he was okay with holding hands with him again. Galacta Knight must've noticed how strongly he pulled away from him the last time they held hands. Knowing this, Dark couldn't help but think of how ridiculously compassionate Galacta Knight was. Wasn't he feared in the past? Feared to the point of being imprisoned in a crystal jail for eternity? That's what Meta Knight's memories seem to recall. It was certainly unusual for someone like him to suffer such a harsh fate. But nonetheless, what's in the past is in the past. He grabs ahold of Galacta Knight's hand and follows the warrior as they fly out of the forest.

Once they are out, Dark Meta Knight's cape immediately transforms into a pair of dark, torn wings. He lets go of the warrior's hand and flies on his own. Together, they scale the giant christmas tree planted by the diligent waddle dees, passing through various decorations, handmade by each inhabitant of Dreamland. Despite only seeing glimpses of their appearances, the love and dedication to the craft of each ornament was impossible to be unseen. In mere seconds, they were already high above in the skies, hovering over the glowing Christmas tree, which was now considerably smaller due to their distance to it. Sonn after they managed to find a good spot to land on, choosing a high mountain cliff just tall enough to see castle Dedede. Galacta Knight laughs as he spreads his arms out, enjoying the cold winter breeze while gazing upon the castle's festive lights. The dark knight follows suit and gently lands next to the galactic warrior.

"There! King Dedede's castle….ah it's shining so brightly. It might be a little hard to see it…."

"See what?"

"One of castle Dedede's towers has a wide rounded balcony, but it may be hard to see it through all those lights for you. I can see it just fine, my eyesight is considered the greatest in the galaxy too!"

"Nonsense, just give me a few seconds……."

".....doooo you see it?"

"I will! You are making me lose my focus."

He chuckles in response to Dark's sudden fluster, it was oddly amusing to see him get so worked up. Galacta Knight smiles in excitement, anticipating what's about to come next.

"There, i see it."

"Oh! The one with the marble railing right?!"

"Yes, marble railing gilded in gold."

"That's the one!"

He springs up in joy and points towards it, happily flapping his wings. Dark slightly flinches away, being a bit taken off by his sudden excitement.

"I'll be waiting for you there once the party starts, only if you come of course!"

"I will. "

"Really? That's- that's GREAT! I- Oh gosh this makes it SO much easier to attend-! Phew…."

"Hm? What's wrong?"

"Oh it's- it's nothing. I'm just letting out a little steam. The party will start in 3 hours and there's already so many guests. It's a huge event, you know? A bunch of fancy aristocrats will be there. King Dedede must be a real big shot."

"Hmph. I highly doubt it."

"Haha, of course you would."

He plops down on the soft grass and lays back, feeling the grass against his wings. Dark notices this and sits down next to him, unconsciously touching his soft feathers.

"Ahh….I don't know what to wear. They'll be so many important people there. I could just wear my light armor, i'm sure it's fancy enough."

"Light armor?"

"Oh yeah! That's one of my different soul suits! It has these really shiny gold patterns, I think it'll impress them, haha…"

"Interesting. Tell me more about this…soul armor."

"Hm? You don't know? Well alright….so…everyone has a soul, right? So imagine this….."

The dark knight finally made progress, Galacta Knight opened up more to him. They've got more than enough time to talk to each other, which means their relationship can finally advance. His hard work will finally be paid off! The other knight will start trusting him more and more…and soon….he will tell him all about the jamba hearts! Though…articial intelligence? Armor and weaponry from the soul? These were all…foreign concepts to him. The technology from Galacta Knight's era is truly outstanding, maybe a little more inquiries about them wouldn't hurt….

Two and a half hours had already past, Galacta Knight was already out of breath. This was the first time in forever that he got to talk so much. Their ethuastatic conversation made the warrior get up from laying down on the grass. He would eagerly talk about how his armor worked and answer all of the other knight's questions, even if he himself couldn't remember the correct answer. Dark Meta Knight couldn't remember the last time he had such a thrilling discussion. The way Galacta Knight presented his knowledge was rather clumsy and abit hard to follow, but his passion was made extremely clear to him. Had this astral ever got the chance to talk about these things to anyone else?

"Oh….i think we talked for too long….haha…I should get going!"

"Mm, I….should find something to wear as well."

"Are you sure? Do you have anything nice to wear?"

"I'm….not too sure. I have a very limited closet."

"Ehehe….well g-good luck!"

.......Hm? Why was Galacta Knight acting so flustered? Dark casts him a confused look.

"What's wrong?"

"Y-your hand…"

"What do you mea-"

He immediately pulls his hand away, clutching it tightly in his other. Unknowingly, his fingers were caressing Galacta Knight's fluffy feathers.

"How long was i-?!"

"You were doing it the entire time, it felt….nice. So you don't have to worry much about it! Ah that didn't sound right-"

"I-!!!"

His wings immediately start flapping, quickly taking off into the sky. Once again, he left the temporal warrior without any warning. Galacta Knight sighs and stands up, waving to him.

"See you soon!!"

Is there a fic concept you have that you'd like to just explain and share because you're not sure you'll ever write it? If so, what is it?

I got like four of these which is very me! You are getting the West Wing one!

Back when I first watched season 2 of TWW I was like "what if he died tho?" (This surprises no one who knows me.) I don't know if I'll ever actually write the Josh Dies AU because it would be so involved, but I have a decent number of beats worked out for it!

About two years ago, I decided to do it as a series of shorter fics, if I do it at all, and stumbled into the idea of having each one open with the last scene and do a "how we got here," as a few episodes of the show do. I have a lot, so I'm putting this under a cut!

The first one starts with Jed addressing the nation on TV the night of the shooting, while still in the hospital, then we see the rest of that night. The doctors tell Jed and Abbey first. Abbey wants to tell the staff herself, but at the last minute she freezes and the doctor does it. Sam throws up, CJ and Donna are distraught, but Toby quietly asks about his body. It's Jewish custom not to leave the body unattended, so Toby is determined to stay with him until his mother gets there.

Danny continues pestering CJ about who was in charge and CJ blurts out that Josh died. She panics immediately, because that isn't public yet, but Danny tells her everything she says tonight is off the record and hugs her. Danny is clearly shaken too.

In my current notes, CJ agrees to do the morning shows, because I thought she might feel differently about doing them if Josh was dead, but I'm still waffling between that and Sam doing them. Whoever doesn't is waiting for whoever does when they get off the air. Josh's death has been announced already, so they talk about it. In the CJ version, she says a lot of what she says at her briefing in ISoTG, about the other victims of gun violence, and specifies Josh would have wanted to. She also says "I'm sorry, mi amore." Sam gives her her necklace when she gets off the air.

Leo, Sam, CJ, and Toby via cellphone plan to release a statement from the president, but Jed insists on making the statement himself. They decide if they do a tight angle on his face and keep it short he can do it from the hospital. Sam needs help preparing the statement, and goes and sits outside the room Toby and Josh are in. They talk on the phone from opposite sides of the door. Toby can't come out, and Sam can't make himself go in. When they're ready to do the statement, Toby shows up, indicating that Josh's mother is now here with him. Abbey asks Jed if he's sure, and he makes his address.

The notes get less detailed as we go. 😄

The second story opens with Donna telling Sam she's resigning, then shows us the last couple of months, starting shortly after the shooting. This is an AU of The Midterms, and Sams is following a with hopeless odds. During a briefing, a reporter asks CJ when the president is replacing Josh. Afterwards, Danny confronts his colleague, saying Josh's body isn't cold, and the other reporter accuses him of being too close to the administration.

Leo and Toby have a conversation where Toby asks if Leo is asking for his blessing. Later, Toby goes home and his brother David is there. He's been spending time with Toby since the shooting. David says Andi has been calling and she's worried, but Toby brushes him off.

Leo takes Sam to the Oval Office, where Jed, Toby, and CJ are waiting. Jed formally asks Sam to be Deputy Chief of Staff and Sam barely manages a "thank you, Mr. President" before fleeing. Leo finds him and explains that someone has to do the job, and he thought he'd be able to handle it better if it was Sam rather than a stranger. Sam agrees, but asks to be called Acting Deputy Chief of Staff. (I got this from Reagan's press secretaries, who were all "acting" so James Brady could keep the title, although he was still alive, I took a bit of poetic license). Sam and Leo go back into the Oval and Sam accepts the job.

The day of the midterms comes. Sam, Toby, CJ, and Donna have a beer together. The next day, Donna tells Sam she's resigning. He understands. His new office still looks like Josh's office, but the gun range target from season 1 has been taken down. Sam gets it back out and draws a two centimeter line on its chest (this fic's title would be Two Centimeters" after Sam's line about Josh living due to "two centimeters of a miracle").

The rest isn't structured yet, it's just beats:

Sam finds Will Bailey in a bar. Will ran the hopeless odds campaign and lost. He tells Sam he's planning to work a race in California next cycle, but Sam offers him a job as Deputy Communications Director.

Toby has run off all the more experienced candidates for Sam's job. He tries to run off Will, too, but Sam confronts him about it. He points out that he doesn't want anyone, but that Toby needs a deputy, and Sam can't keep trying to do two jobs. Sam pulls rank as DCoS, Toby points out he's acting, and Sam reminds him he took that title out of respect, but that his rank is unaffected.

Toby doesn't think the president and Leo care enough about guns. Sam says they do, and tells Toby to write a speech about gun reform and that he'll sell it. He also makes him hire Will for a probationary period.

Sam tells Leo that Toby thinks they're not doing enough. Leo assures him they are, but Sam says Toby is right and pushes for the gun bill. Sam says "I sit in thirty meetings a week listening to people tell me what my best friend was working on when he was murdered."

Charlie hires Debbie to be Sam's assistant since Donna quit, saying he could use an aunt to look after him.

As his probationary period ends, Will is planning to leave. He doesn't feel accepted by Toby and feels out of place with the general staff, who are all mourning someone he never met. One of the assistants forgot to not order Josh's burned hamburger, so they gave it to Will as a form of hazing. As Will is preparing to quit, Charlie gets the phone call about Mrs. Landingham's accident. Will silently decides to stay.

When the president is trying to replace Mrs. Landingham, Charlie says he knows the right person. This turns out to be Donna. She thinks Charlie is going to ask her to come back and work for Sam, but he says he isn't. She agrees to work for the president.

Donna is the first person to warm up to Will, and explains the burger to him. Sam thinks Will likes her, but Donna isn't interested.

Sam and Donna start sleeping together out of shared grief for Josh. They do care for each other, but it's messy and unhealthy. Even Sam thinks dating Will would be better for Donna, but doesn't push her to do it. When Donna wonders if she and Sam have anything in common, he says "we both love Josh."

CJ and Danny's relationship in this universe is complicated; the grief brings them closer, but CJ doesn't want to start a relationship because Josh died. They are endgame, but CJ and Simon happens in the middle (more on that later).

Charlie and Zoey stay together for a while, but they feel obligated to stay together because Josh died for their love, and this eventually drives them apart, amicably. Zoey wants to go to France with Jean-Paul because they have gun control there, but in the end she doesn't go. Instead of going to the bathroom when she realizes he spiked her drink, she goes to an agent to ask to go home. When they realize what happened, they're both treated for the drugs. The kidnapping is averted, but Zoey breaks up with Jean-Paul and eventually gets back together with Charlie.

Simon is assigned to CJ under similar circumstances to canon, but everyone is even twitchier about death threats. When she finds out he shot one of the Rosslyn shooters, she says "good" in a way that's so cold and venomous he finds it disturbing. He meets his canon fate.

After he's made DCoS, Sam gets the NSC card. He tries to give it back to Leo, and Leo tells him Josh did the same thing, but he won't let Sam do it. Sam protests, but Leo says he's having more trouble keeping a deputy alive now. Sam argues it wouldn't have changed anything, but Leo won't budge. Leo does tell him he's free to go directly to the president.

If it got this far, Sam would end up running the Santos campaign, because "he's who Josh would have picked." I might keep the tension of Will running the Russell campaign. Maybe Sam and Donna's situationship even puts her on that campaign, too.

I’m very innovative but still choose the practical route a lot. It’s easy for me to create goals and envision the end results but it’s ridiculously hard for me to remain committed to the process. I have a very big ego but one word alone is enough to destroy it. i Will never admit my wrong, unless internally. I'm playful around people i like [friends, family, classmates] and if I believe I'm right I'll passive agressivly fight you to prove my point [even if I'm wrong]. Like i said i have hard time committing to something i loose interest, motivation and get bored rather easily. If I'm stressed about something i bottle everything up and worry about it alone. I like horror genre [movies, books, analogue horror and etc], watching movies, listening to true. Researching and learning more about myself. I love reading greek mythology and Japanese urban legends, I'm interested in psychology. I wouldn't really consider this as a hobby cause i do it once or twice a year but i also play volleyball and piano. I also really love spicy food.

I dislike dogs, sweet food, really hot weathers, heat and sweat, snow, really loud or really quiet places, math and chemistry, romance movies [i really love romance books tho], when someone ignores or interrupts me. Having my questions unanswered, when people make chewing or drinking sounds. I really hate when grown as adults [or even teenagers] start acting like a child, using baby voice, pouting and using puppy dog eyes

As for my idea type I value honesty and loyalty, I'm more attracted [romantically or platonically] to people who are confident in themselves and their abilities. I also value partner/friend that isn't overprotective and allows me my independence and let's me do things my way. I don't think i have a specific type i just want my partner to keep me entertained as i tend to get bored rather easily.

Ruggie is sitting on your bed, folding your laundry, while you read a book. He hums a little tune, so that the room isn't too quiet, but aside from that, the two of you are sitting in a comfortable silence.

Suddenly, you spoke up.

"Did you know that Leos are often considered a symbol of power?" You asked.

Ruggie looked up from his folding, "Between you and Leona? Yeah, I figured that out, shihihi."

"What's your birthday again?"

"April 18th," he hummed.

"Aries," you muttered, flipping pages in your book until you found his sign. "Ah, optimistic with no filter." You looked up at him with a sly smile. "Very emotional."

He glared at you for a moment. "Am not."

"Just telling you what the experts say," you said with a shrug, when you felt something soft hit your head. You looked down in your lap, and saw one of your unfolded socks.

"Did you throw a sock at me?"

"Yeah," he grinned.

"Very emotional," you repeated, feeling smug.

"Shut up," he muttered. He continued folding your laundry, but now it could only be described as rage folding.

"Simmering rage, too..."

"You're lucky I'm getting paid for this," he muttered.

"Oh, are you?" You laughed.

He gave you an irritated look, "we prearranged for two kisses."

"You're right," you crawled over to him and gave him a quick peck, followed by a longer kiss. "There, is my emotional, rage filled Aries happy now?"

so plans changed and i was able to buy the tarot deck yesterday already instead of next week :) i got the modern witch tarot. do you cleanse your deck before using it for the first time? or do you have any tips on how to get started? it's brand new but i'm still worried it might have some bad energy, i didn't sleep well last night :/ i kept the deck in my nightstand, but that's probably just me overthinking it. i don't have any crystals or anything like that tho (yet)

I sometimes cleanse my decks before I properly use them, but I have two methods I use depending on how lazy I feel lmao. If I can be bothered I'll cleanse it with a candle. I'm an aries, so a fire sign, which is why I started using the candle method and basically I'll light a candle and then wave the deck through the smoke/heat coming off the flame. Usually I do it a couple of times before I'll shuffle them but sometimes if I find it's not shuffling particularly well or lots of cards keep falling out of my hands I'll give it a second pass over the candle.

But, if I'm feeling lazy (which, lbr i often am) i'll do the moon method and basically leave my deck overnight somewhere where moonlight can touch it. And if I'm feeling really lazy I won't worry so much. I don't necessarily buy into the idea that the cards pick up energy but I do think you as a reader will and so cleansing rituals can be more about clearing your own mind than clearing energy from the physical deck.

As for getting started, I think just getting used to the deck is important, holding it, shuffling it, getting a feel of it. Maybe play around and draw one or two or three cards regarding something going on in your life. It doesn't even have to be a big thing, just something you can focus on while you get the hang of pulling cards. Maybe draw one card each morning or right before you go to sleep as an indication of what your day will be like. It can also help you decide how you're going to read - are you going to shuffle a certain number of times before pulling a card or are you going to wait and see if any cards fall out of your hands or are you going to split the deck in half after you shuffle and take the middle card? there's more than one way to pull cards for a reading and in my experience most people have a preference even if they switch things around sometimes.

One habit I got into was to sleep with the deck somewhere near me - on my bedside table or under my pillow or wherever - for at least a couple of days. It's said to help you connect with the deck or whatever and I don't know if it really works but 🤷‍♀️ sometimes it did seem to help.

Also, during readings, definitely recommend using the guidebook that came with the deck, especially at the start. You're 100% allowed to look things up even if you're pulling cards for someone else. Tarot can be confusing and the guidebook is included to make it easier so you may as well use it.

If you're someone that finds it easier to learn new things when you take notes then starting a tarot journal could be of use. Just somewhere to jot down key words associated with each card that you can quickly refer back to. You could also use it to write notes on readings you so for yourself and others.

There's also a spread that I stumbled onto online which is a "new deck interview". Basically you draw 6 cards (which each answer a different question) when you get a new deck to try and understand/connect with it. I don't do it as much anymore but I did for a while. I found it was a good way to sort of break in a deck and it gave me something ready made to do my first draw on so that I didn't have to like come up with something myself lmao. The six questions are:

Tell me about yourself. What is your most important characteristic?

What are your strengths as a deck?

What are your limits as a deck?

What do you bring to the table -- what are you here to teach me?

How can I best learn from and collaborate with you?

What is the potential outcome of our working relationship?

That's everything I can think of off the top of my head but if you think of anything else you're curious about i'm always happy to answer questions!

Anyway, I'm also glad that when it first happened, Taehyung didn't drag it on and apologized promptly. sooooooooo, now that the stream spilled the deets, let's talk 4.0 banners shall we?

1st half: Lyney, Yelan; Lynette

2nd half: Childe, Zhongli; Freminet

pulling plans below cuz this is gonna be a long one

so, on my main account. i don't know if i want to pull zhongli this rerun tbh. i already have layla and she's serving me pretty well already. maybe after i get the other 5 stars i really want. yelan though......

see. on my main account, i already have xingqiu. and i probably won't need a team where i'll be using both of them anytime soon. originally i wanted her because i thought i would need xingqiu in both teams in the abyss. but 1) i still can't be bothered to do the abyss, and probably won't be for a good long while, and 2) i'm not even gonna need him for my chongyun team in the abyss since i'd be going the melt route. my cyno team would benefit from having her instead of xingqiu, sure. i just broke my back pulling for kokomi though, and i don't fancy doing that again in literally the next round of banners. therefore, yelan will have to wait until her next rerun.

so, new characters. i am kinda curious about lyney. but i know nothing about him except that he's a pyro bow user. so i'm gonna do it like this: if i want cons of the other 4 stars on the banner, i'll casually pull (i.e. not being on a mad dash to grind primos like i'd been for the past week or so). if i don't, my primo wallet can finally take a breather.

for the second half, despite me giving freminet the massive side-eye back when he was leaked, i'm a sucker for cryo in general so i might be tempted to get a copy of him. if i do then i'll pull on the zhongli side. if i get a zhongli along the way, that's cool too. but honestly i'd rather i lose the 50/50 (and get tighnari, fingers crossed), which would make me a little more ready if venti or anyone else of personal interest gets a rerun soon after

okay, time to talk about the alt.

this is a bit of a tough one tbh. since yelan is getting a rerun before xingqiu comes back to the starglitter shop, i am incentivized to pull for her since i don't have xingqiu there yet and it doesn't feel good in the slightest. but i still haven't gotten kokomi there yet, and she would also be a godsend to have. so i need to figure out whether or not i should keep pulling for kokomi or wait until yelan's banner.

and i'm probably gonna skip zhongli's banner there honestly. even though i still haven't gotten her shield strength up to snuff, the bottleland event did give me a free layla. and even though he would be a massive upgrade in the shield department, i'm gonna be exhausted as all hell after grinding primos for kokomi/yelan.

actually... how about this. a few days before the current banner ends, hoyo releases a notice for the next half's banners. so what i'm gonna do is this: i'm gonna hold off on pulling in the alt until then. if xingqiu turns out to be one of the 4 stars featured with yelan and lyney, then i'm gonna keep waiting until 4.0 to pull. (still gonna keep my starglitter tho in case i get super unlucky and don't get either of them). if he's not one of the featured 4 stars, i'm dumping all my primos into kokomi's banner. and then it's all up to luck — if i win the 50/50 i get kokomi, and if i lose the 50/50 i get yelan. or at least a higher chance of getting yelan depending on how many primos i can grind. i'll still pull even if i get kokomi though. at least until i get a rosaria or the banner ends. i won't pull on yelan's banner until the 2nd half banner notices drop. then, if there's still no sign of xingqiu and there aren't any 4 stars i want in the next banner besides freminet, i'll dump all my remaining primos into yelan's banner. if i get her, yay. i just really need to grind up starglitter to get xingqiu cuz i want to get him either way. if i still don't have enough starglitter by the time yelan's banner ends, i'll wait for the 4.1 stream and 1st half banner notices before deciding whether or not to pull on the zhongli banner. if there's a 5 star i really need or a 4 star i really want cons on, then i'll continue pulling for starglitter on the 4.1 banners. if none of the 4.1 banners sound useful then i'm pulling on the zhongli banner. getting freminet or zhongli along the way would be a happy bonus.

sigh i do hope i don't have to get yelan though... i'm not confident that my alt can farm the ruin serpent without everyone being on life support after every single fight. farming the aeonblight drake for layla was painful enough.
