Driving Headcanons with the Touken Danshi (aka the Saniwa is fearing for their life)

Pairings: Touken Danshi x Reader (sorry I’m too lazy to type all of the pairings in this) uh... this can be taken as either platonic or romantic it’s up to you

Content Warnings: Potential car crashes/accidents and drunkenness because Jiroutachi, also allusion stripping because Sengo, threats of physical violence (road rage), swearing

Word Count: 1327 words (ish)

A/N: Ok so I wrote this A WHILE AGO and I hate driving so I forced all the Touken Danshi mentioned here to drive with me so HAH, anyways drive safely and don’t be like these bozos! also omg this is over 6 months old jeez, also i might wanna do a beach episode fic/hcs with the touken danshi hehe

(essentially Saniwa usually drives them around whenever they need to but some of the swords got curious and wanted to try driving themselves)

- Saniwa (Reader):

- Already knows how to drive and is the one teaching them how to

- Please send help

- “Why did I think it would be a good idea to let these swords drive….”

- Kasen:

- Pretended not to be interested in driving but actually wants to learn

- Wants to drive elegantly and with poise, but has terrible road rage

- Fails the driving test and gave up

- “My driving will be as elegant and refined as me~”

- 15 minutes later at someone who cut him off “YOU BASTARD ILL HAVE YOUR HEAD AND SERVE IT TO SANIWA-“

- Izuminokami:

- Actually didn’t want to learn how to drive at first but then got into a competition with Mutsunokami on who could get their driver’s license quicker

- Izuminokami is ok at driving but due to the competition aspect, he fucking floors it a lot

- Passed after 2-3 tries

- “I’m not letting that son of a bitch Mutsunokami win!”

- Mutsunokami:

- One of the first Touken Danshi to want to learn how to drive, is very interested in how the car works and often studies it

- You would think his enthusiasm would go overboard in this case but is actually a decent driver since he took the time to practice and learn about it

- Passed on the first try, Izuminokami was pissed

- “So cool! Hey Saniwa can we look at this model please!”

- Tomoegata:

- Didn’t really care about it until Saniwa mentioned that they needed help driving around the rest of the Touken Danshi

- Tried their hardest to get good at driving and basically tried thinking of it as a horse, took a little bit, is able to drive pretty well

- Passed on their first try

- “I will drive so that I can relieve the Saniwa’s burden of driving”

- Hasebe:

- Also did not care until Saniwa mentioned that they needed help and he immediately looked into driving lessons

- Ok he passed with flying colors on the written exam but on the practical exam, he has bad road rage

- It took like 3-5 tries for him to pass and would not concede until he got his license

- “If it’s for Saniwa, I’ll drive them everywhere!”

- Kashuu:

- Could not give any less of a shit, “Saniwa already drives me around, why do I need to drive when I know they drive me out of love~” but then wants to show his appreciation to them seeing as how they’re constantly driving them around and it’s getting to them since they’re anxious about driving

- Honestly he was scared as hell when first driving, was constantly afraid of accidentally damaging his car and other cars, so he was anxious, drives much slower out of fear, took a while to get used to driving, poor baby needs a lot of reassurance

- Passed on first try

- While driving on the freeway “Wahhhh this isn’t cute at all!!!”

- Micchan (Shokudaikiri Mitsutada):

- Was also in the camp of wanting to drive and wanted to drive in a cool car (sorry Micchan we’re not that rich) and really studied hard with Mucchan on driving

- In the beginning, Acts like he knows what he’s doing, in reality he doesn’t know jack shit, takes a while but he gets the hang of it, is a pretty calm driver

- Passed on the 2nd try because he made some easy mistakes caused him to insta-fail

- “Hey Saniwa can we get this car, it’s so cool- what? It’s not in our budget?”

- Jiroutachi:

- No just no, you know why

- Booze and driving do not mix, mostly just gets you or someone else to drive her around (taroutachi is the one who learns how to drive lol)

- Is passed out drunk in the backseat

- “Drive fasterrrr~ hehehehe”

- Mikazuki:

- You would think that this old man wouldn’t be up to it but he’s actually interested in learning how to drive

- However he drives like he’s in a Fast & Furious movie and Saniwa often fears for their life while in the car with him, yet while driving like in a car chase, he still keeps his calm demeanor

- Maybe it was to mess with Saniwa but somehow he passed on the first try

- He’s talking about how the earth turns to roads when it was once rivers “JIJI PLEASE WATCH THE ROAD”

- Kogitsunemaru:

- Wanted to learn how to drive in order for Saniwa to get some rest from driving (in reality it’s so he can have more time with them and so they can brush his hair)

- Was really confused on what he was supposed to do but after a lot of lessons, he became confident in his driving

- That being said it took him like 3 tries in order to pass

- “Anything for Nushi-Sama, but which direction do I go in once I reverse?”

- Sengo:

- Was also surprisingly interested in learning how to drive and was seen talking to the car??? (I’m in love with my car plays in the bg /j)

- Despite what others may think, he’s a natural at driving and you feel so safe in the car with him??? Saniwa could take a breather in the chaos with him that being said he often says he’ll strip in the car

- Passed on first try with flying colors

- “Fufufufufufufu, the car is obeying my commands, shall I strip? Why are you asking me to pull over?”

- Azuki:

- Mostly wanted to learn how to drive so he could drive the Tantous to get sweets and to get groceries without having to get Saniwa to drive him every time

- Thankfully doesn’t have road rage but he’s very slow, like too slow man, like driving 40 mph on a freeway type of slow, Saniwa was about to push him out of the driver’s seat and floor it for him, he’s just concerned for the children’s safety

- Passed after 2-3 tries

- After Saniwa tells him to please be within the speed limit “Think of the children Saniwa, I don’t want to accidentally shake them with my driving.” You almost get pulled over for driving so slow, Azuki

- Hizamaru:

- Mostly just wanted to be able to drive his brother and you around, nothing else, so he put his heart into learning how to drive

- Did pretty well on the written portion but was too overly concerned on the road to focus, often Saniwa had to reassure him that he’s doing great

- Passed on his 2nd try, would have passed on the 1st try if he didn’t second guess himself

- “Maybe Anija will remember my name once I drive him everywhere!” Hizamaru baby….

- Otegine:

- Huh??? Why are you asking a spear that’s only good at piercing to drive? Was really against it until he saw how much ‘fun’ everyone else was having and decided to give it a go

- His driving is choppy and abrupt to say the least, Saniwa’s head hit the windshield a couple of times over how abrupt his stops were, he apologized every time

- It took him like 3-5 tries to pass but hey he passed!

- Screams this while on the freeway “The one thing I’m good is piercing, not driving!”

- Sanchoumou:

- Pretty chill about it and up to try anything so he was up to try his hand at driving

- Maybe a little bit too enthusiastic, almost crashed into another car but hey it’s fine…. For now, but is a quick learner and good listener so he should be fine… in theory

- It took him like 3-4 times but hey this bird can drive now!

- “Let’s see how fast this little bird goes!” You had to make him slow down before he got a ticket

- Nagasone:

- Was a little interested and was up for anything so he tried his hand at it

- Pretty chill driver that made sure to listen to your instructions, honestly he comes off as a natural until you snap out of it when he runs over a curb

- Passed on first try

- “I guess this counterfeit is good at driving too!”

- After all of that however Saniwa never wanted to teach driving ever again and passes out

Okay, I'll explain a few rules here for requesting.

1. Do not request smut or sex between blood-related characters, PLEASE. NO. INCEST.

2. Be specific when requesting, don't just type character x reader, give me more detail on what you want me to write, this rule applies to oneshots, headcanons, scenarios and AU's.

3. This should be expected, but I'm putting this down here anyway. I do not write sex scenes with minors In them. Nor do I write minors with a character who is 18+, smut or not.

4. I can also write Polyandry / Polygyny, LGBT+ etc.

5. If you request sexual trauma or rape, I will NOT write It explicitly. Same with gore.

6. I also write character x character and oc x character, If you want me to write a character with your oc you'll have to give me information about their looks, backstory, personality, etc.

*Clack*

Shoes hit against the floor as the owner of them walked through the hallway, eventually stopped walking and went up to one of the rooms, opening the door upon hearing laughter.

"Auntie?"

A woman sitting In a chair next to a hospital bed walked up to the girl and hugged her.

"Crystal! Great timing, dear." The woman exclaimed, pulling away from the raven haired girl, pointing over to the hospital bed, "This Is Rei, she's one of the patients here, can you keep her company for a little bit while I take care of something else."

Crystal nodded, her lips forming Into a smile, "Sure." She said, to which her aunt gave her a thumbs up and left the room.

The white haired woman smiled softly, patting the chair Crystal's aunt was sitting In earlier, "Would you like to sit with me, dear?"

"A- Ah! Sure!" The girl hesitantly walked over and sat In the chair by the hospital bed.

She's pretty...

"Do you come to the hospital often?"

Crystal jumped slightly, "Ah...I do sometimes so I can visit my aunt..."

"Well, when you come by..Can you visit me? I would appreciate the company."

Crystal looked up, smiling once more, "Of course!"

Crystal's feet moved back and forth as she wasn't really paying attention In class and looking at the heterochromiac boy who's seat was In front of hers, he turned his head to meet her eyes, aware of her staring and raising a brow. Crystal quickly turned her head, her face was flushed red as she covered It.

He's so quiet...

Steps were heard going down the hallway,

"Don't talk to her, It'll make everything worse than what It Is."

Screw that.

Shouto opened the door, about to say something but widened his eyes when he saw a familiar face.

Crystal turned her head to the door upon hearing It open and her eyes widened also.

After a while of Shouto talking with his mother, reuniting with her and Rei explaining the situation of Crystal visiting her both of the teenagers eventually went together to go visit Rei who would often wink and say something along the lines of, 'You two have been getting close lately' or 'I'm so glad you both are friends'.

And that one day came.

Crystal handed the flowers In the vase to Rei, "Here you go, I hope you like them!"

Rei looked at the flowers and smiled, "Thank you, sweetie. How did you know I like these?"

"It was actually Shouto who told me..." Crystal rubbed her neck, which was as flushed as her face.

"Hm, that's sweet of him...Shame that he doesn't have a girlfriend yet." Rei sent Crystal a wink and the raven haired girl stumbled, her dark brown eyes widening slightly.

"H...How...Did you..."

"Mothers just know, get 'em tiger!" Rei winked again and Crystal came out of the hospital room, more redder than usual.

Shouto raised a brow, "Are you alright?"

"I- I'm fine! I'll just head back home now!"

"I can walk you back If you want?"

"S...Sure!" She squeaked, earning another eyebrow raise from Shouto, but the male said nothing as they headed out the hospital.

Crystal looked up at the sky, eyes widening once more.

"What's wrong?"

"I...I don't have an umbrella..." She admitted, looking at the dark sky as It rained cats and dogs.

"There's a extra one at my place, we can go there and I can get It for you?"

Crystal nodded, "Okay."

The two teenagers headed to the house, turning around and noticing Crystal was soaked from the rain, her uniform somewhat see-through and Shouto quickly turned his head, his face flushing slightly.

"I...I should get you some new clothes, you'll get a cold..."

Crystal looked down, noticing her clothing being wet she flustered, nodding, Shouto went to his room, grabbing a new shirt, It was a little big but he hoped that It would fit her, he came out. Passing the shirt to Crystal. "You can change In the bathroom." He said, the raven haired girl nodded, heading to the bathroom as Shouto searched for that extra umbrella, after finding It he headed to the bathroom, completely forgetting to knock and he opened the door.

"Hey, I found the umbrella and I'll place It nea-" He froze, pausing with his words as his face flushed slightly and Crystal jumped, putting her hands over her chest to hide the bra that she was wearing.

"Sh- Shouto?!" She screeched, stumbling a little as she tried to regain her balance from surprise, she was expecting the male to leave but Instead he walked Into the bathroom, standing In front of her.

"I like you."

Huh...?!

The girl wasn't sure If she should laugh or say that she liked him as well, he just said It with such a straight face which turned Into a pinkish hue after she stayed silent for so long.

Is this even a good time to say that...?

Crystal shook the thoughts out of her head, holding the shirt that he gave her earlier over her chest, she blushed and turned her head away. "I like you as well...But..."

"Hm?"

"Shouldn't we talk about this when I'm...Decent...?"

As If a delayed reaction Shouto's face turned as red as the left side of him, to which Crystal let out a soft chuckle.

"I..I'm sorry."

"It's fine Shouto." She smiled softly as the male headed out of the bathroom.

The kiss was sloppy but It seemed like neither had cared,

Shouto pulled back and Crystal's eyes widened, "Uh...Shouto?"

OMG! YOUR BIRTHDAY IS COMING UP?? HAPPY (early) BIRTHDAY!!! These swords will try to make your bday extra special and I will try my best to make the headcanons extra special! I hope your bday is amazing and filled with plenty of love ^^ Just going to let you know now, all the swords have no idea what a birthday is until you explain it to them. They don't have a birthday of their own and their masters didn't celebrate their birthdays by the time they got them as a sword.

Izuminokami, Mutsunokami, and Honebami celebrating S/O birthday (GN!Reader)

♡ As soon as Izuminokami learns about birthdays, he asks you when yours is. He wants to make sure he doesn't forget! He writes it down someplace (and gives it to Horikawa to remind him cough) so he can remind himself every month and plan when it gets close!

♡ Expect a lot of very not subtle questions about your past birthdays and the things you like. Some questions even going as far as; "If you could possibly get a gift from a really handsome sword, what would you want?"

♡ He has... a blather mouth. He has a hard time keeping a secret from you. He is aware of it too! If you start asking him questions in return of why he is asking, he will instantly tense up and become flustered. Constantly tripping over his words in trying to think of an excuse. He may also just run... That is also a big possibility.

♡ The day of your birthday, you will wake up in your bed alone. It happens sometimes in the past if Izuminokami has an early morning mission he has to leave for, but normally he wakes you up to tell you he is leaving and give you a kiss goodbye. It is very unlikely for him to leave before you wake up and without a single word.

♡ Right away you will know something is up.

♡ As you continue you on with your morning routine, you will take yourself to the kitchen to get some food and drink. There are a few swords that normally take turns with kitchen duty so you expect to see one of them (Kasen, Azuki, Chiyoganemaru, Kuwana, Nikkou, or Mitsutada)

♡ However, instead you will see someone entirely different. There, struggling to crack eggs into a bowl without the shells, will be Izuminokami. His hair will be pulled back in a tight ponytail and adorn on him will be a pink apron... A little too small for how tall he is. His face pull of concentration as Horikawa cheers him on and tries to help him.

♡ He almost doesn't notice you until you let out a small snicker at the sight you see. His expression will quickly change from total focus to total surprise. Probably dropping the egg in the process as his face lights up like a Christmas tree.

Izuminokami: H-Hey! You're not suppose to be awake yet!! Horikawa: Well you have messed up quite a bit, Kane-san. I'm not too surprise they are awake by now... Izuminokami: S-Shut it, Kunihiro!

♡ It is very clear that Izuminokami is the one that is mostly helping the cooking progress while Horikawa is the one actually cooking and getting stuff done. They are making (Your favorite breakfast food). From just the look of the kitchen... Izuminokami has messed up. A ton of times.

♡ After the meal is finally done, Izuminokami will bring it out to you and serve it with (your favorite flower) on the side.

♡ The messy apron finally off of him and he sits beside you, giving you a small kiss on the cheek.

♡ "Happy birthday, my beloved."

♡ The rest of the day goes the same as normal (minus the part of everyone wishing you happy birthday and giving you gifts throughout the day when they catch you). The only thing different is that Izuminokami makes sure that today is your special day and you don't have to work. No paperwork for you! It's your day and you deserve to enjoy it!

♡ Izuminokami is around you for most of the day but doesn't want to crowd you because he knows you have a lot of swords lining up to give you gifts.

♡ He doesn't give you a gift. Not until much later.

♡ The sun has already fell and the both of you are getting ready for bed. Once you are climbed into the bed, Izuminokami leaves and comes back with a small box. He sits next to you and tells you to open it.

♡ When you open it up, you will find half a heart. Pulling it out, you will realize that it's a necklace with a blue gem at the top and Kane-san inscribed onto it (because no way is Izuminokami going to fit on there).

♡ As you look over, you will see that Izuminokami pulls out the necklace from under his shirt that has your name and your (favorite color) gem also on it. He had been wearing it the whole day.

♡ "I know it's hard to forget this handsome face but I wanted to give you something where we are always together. No matter how long we are apart. I know I can be dumb and reckless at times, but you keep me grounded and loved. I don't ever want to lose that. I want to spend many more birthdays with you and always keep you close to my heart. Happy birthday, Y/N."

♡ Once Mutsunokami finds out about birthdays and that your birthday was coming up, he starts planning! He wants to make the day super special and gets everyone involved to do that for you.

♡ Mutsunokami has always been the type of person that takes a bunch of photos with the camera you bought for him. He loves it so much. His gun and camera are his babies. So it is no surprise whenever he pulls it out and takes pictures of the two of you. Those are his favorite photos.

♡ Mutsunokami also has a little bit of a loud mouth. He will often let it slip about his plans and isn't good at covering it up. He will let it slip and instantly cover his mouth, letting you know it was something important and you weren't suppose to know yet.

♡ Though most of his plan is secretive! It's just... Not a big surprise that he has something planned for your birthday.

♡ The day starts off normal. You awaken in Mutsunokami's arms as he holds you close to his chest. For once, Mutsunokami isn't still passed out and you have to slither yourself out of his grasp. This morning, he is awake. He is smiling down at you as he whispers a faint "Happy Birthday" and giving your forehead a soft kiss.

♡ Your day starts off normal... Well, until you get to the kitchen and see that the citadel is empty. The both of you don't run into any swords and there is only two plates of hot food that await you both.

♡ Like always, Mutsunokami shovels all the food down in a fast pace like it is nothing big. This time, not waiting for you to finish your meal. Instead he gives you a quick peck on the cheek and tells you that he has to go do something and that he will be back later. Leaving you alone.

♡ The whole citadel is quiet as you finish your meal and take care of the few dishes that accumulated after the two of you ate.

♡ It is only when you leave the kitchen and go to the back do you see it.

♡ In the back are stands everywhere. All the swords that weren't there, now stand before you and in front of the festival they put together for you. All of them popping confetti and Mutsunokami coming out with your favorite type of cake in hand, a few candles on top.

♡ Everyone begins to sing happy birthday and awaits for you to blow out the candles.

♡ The whole citadel came together to make a festival with many games for you and the rest of the swords to enjoy together. Mutsunokami with a camera around his chest, taking pictures of the best moments he can capture.

♡ You spend your birthday playing all the games they put together; Goldfish scooping, Yo-yo fishing, Gun-shooting, Super ball scooping, and many more!

♡ Some stands have masks and others are food that swords made that they remember their master(s) loving.

♡ There is even a big performance at the end with all the Awataguchi swords (minus Onimaru. No way you are getting Onimaru to sing and dance)! The show ends with fireworks and Mutsunokami by your side.

♡ It is when the day calms down and everyone is cleaning up, that Mutsunokami takes you to the side. He helps you up onto the roof where you two can relax and look at the stars. He gently holds your hand as he hands over a decent size box with wrapping.

♡ Inside is a photo album of pictures of all the swords in the citadel when they first arrived, as well as moments of them hanging out with you. There is many pictures of the two of you together.

♡ The very last picture is the two of you kissing with the small caption; "The only person I want to seize the world with."

♡ Under the writing is a necklace with a locket. In the locket is the same picture so you can keep it with you at all times.

♡ "You brought me to life, aruji (master). For that, I will forever be grateful. You have taught me so much about the world and let me see so much. The thing I am most grateful for is being taught how to love. Everyday I learn something new about you and everyday I smile. I want to keep learning about the world and you. So this is my gift to you. A happy birthday now and many more happy birthdays in the future."

♡ Honebami asks many questions when he first learns of birthdays. This boy is very confused by the whole concept. He is willing the learn everything about it, though!

♡ Unlike Mutsunokami and Izuminokami, Honebami is very good at keeping secrets. So It will feel like he has forgotten about your birthday for a while. But he would never. He even wrote it down in his special journal to make sure he always remembers it.

♡ Honebami is actually quite good at planning without you knowing. He will still be around you the normal amount but will somehow be getting stuff done in preparation for your day.

♡ The day of your birthday, you wake up to the smell of fresh food. As you open your eyes, you see none other than Honebami. Normally he is already out of bed and doing the things he need to for the day. Very rarely waiting until you wake up. However, this time is different. Instead he is standing there with a tray in hand and some hot food on top.

♡ "Happy Birthday.."

♡ The second half more quiet as his cheeks start to burn and he looks down so his bangs hides his face from you.

♡ You enjoy your meal in bed with Honebami by your side, making sure he is taking care of you so you don't have to lift a finger.

♡ After you finish your meal, he takes the tray away to go clean. It is then when his brothers come in, wishing you a happy birthday. The little ones jumping on you and giving you hugs. They all give you cards and one big gift.

♡ In the big gift is a (favorite color) saddle!

♡ Once Honebami returns, you all go out into the barn to see an Anglo-Arabian horse. They all chipped in money to get you your very own horse to name. It is yours so they will never take it out to battle and you can spend time with them whenever you want. The little swords are all hopping around in excitement when they show you their big present to you.

♡ The rest of the day is pretty quiet. Some happy birthdays here and there, some cards and presents. Honebami steals you away around midday from everyone and offers to teach you horseback riding. If you already know, he offers for the both of you to go riding together.

♡ Honebami isn't the best at horseback riding. He is pretty fast on his own but he does know how to ride!

♡ If you are too scared to ride by yourself, he will ride on your horse with you. The stroll in the forest is just filled with you and him. It is mostly silent besides the birds chirping and the horse's soft sounds.

♡ He will ride out to an opening, where the pond is crystal blue, to rest. As the two sit by the shore, he will pull out a journal just for you. It will be a brown journal.

♡ Inside will be a letter to you every day he has known you. In it will be him describing everything he loves about you. Your eyes, your hair, the way you smile, the way you look when you first awake, the soft hugs you give that make him feel so secure, your voice, your kindness, the moment he realized he fell in love with you and knew you'd be the only one for him.

♡ It's everything he could never say in words.

♡ The very last page was written just the night before. His hand now entwined with yours as you read.

♡ "You are probably very well aware of how it's hard for me to expression feelings and emotions to you verbally. Yet you still love me even though I struggle in showing you in return how much I love you. I cherish that so much about you. This journal is something I have been working on for a long while. Anytime you went to sleep, I would say up and write. This is everything I have trouble saying to you. These are my feelings written down for you to read anytime you may doubt my devotion to you. You mean the world to me so... All I ask of you is to look at me one more time in this moment."

I’m quite busy this week, so I won’t be able to work on requests. I still wanted to update however, so here are some headcanons I wrote for my birthday a year or so ago. I hope this brings some degree of enjoyment!

Izuminokami Kanesada

He absolutely forgets that it’s your birthday, but that’s only because he can be a bit of a dense airhead

When Horikawa reminds him that today’s an important day for the master, the hint goes completely over his head

Naturally, being the cool sword he is, he approaches you confidently, essentially parroting what Horikawa told him and announcing that he’s heard today is an important day for you

When you question him by what he means, he gets flustered and finds a way to turn it back on you, saying something like since the day is important to you, you should know better than him

You just laugh, having put the pieces together and realizing he doesn’t actually know what today is and that Horikawa probably tried to give him a hint to figure it out by himself

You admit that today is your birthday and that that must be the important date he’s talking about

Of course, he pretends to have known all along and probably says something along the lines of making sure you knew, without realizing he’s making it even more obvious he didn’t realize what the date is

He still panics about a gift though since he sees it as an opportunity to express his thanks towards you; after all without you he wouldn’t be reunited with the other shinsengumi swords or be able to experience things as a human does

Izumimokami mutters an excuse and runs off, thinking that the least he can do to repay you for all you do is give you a gift on your date of birth. He thinks long and hard about it, wondering what might make you happy

He ends up deciding to pick flowers for you, unceremoniously running out to pick what he finds to be the loveliest flowers for you

The stems are a bit bent, but you can tell that he did his best and had been thinking of you, so your face instantly lights up as you thank him for the lovely gift, your soft and gentle expression making him feel he’s done something right

Likely boasts that he’s picked the nicest flowers for you, but is confused and flustered when another sword (likely Kasen) points out that the petals are a little crushed and the stems are bent

I’ve fallen down Sword Boi hell and can’t get up, so I wrote a fic about it.

That doesn’t mean I have a praise ki-“ “I wasn’t finished.” The stern glare from Horikawa quickly shut the taller man up, sending a shudder down his spine.

“P-Please continue,” “Good.” Horikawa’s angelic grin returns, rivaling the intensity of the master’s. “But yes, as I was saying, Midare introduced me to it. I am aware that he should not be exposed to such things at a young age…but,” he only shrugs his shoulders as Izumi blanks at the idea of the younger swords being exposed to such…indecent things. “Don’t worry; I had their eldest brothers scold them. But I noticed that whenever they praise you, you light up.” Horikawa tuts his tongue, chuckling. “You do love praise but from our master, it is different. You almost melt, I can sense your adoration for them from across the citadel.” “S-So what?!” The uchigatana grumbles out, crossing his arms and a hiss. “I am their lover, of course I would be happy with their praise and love! I am also a cool and awesome sword, so it would be obvious to praise me!” “Simply put, as Tsurumaru-san had said it…you, get off, on it.” The shorter sword only cackles as his partner cocks his head to the side, causing himself to shake his head. “What it means is that, it is pleasurable to you.” A pause, smirking. “Sexually.”

The sounds of his partner sputtering and nigh having a heart attack fill the room and its thin walls, much to the amusement of Horikawa who only shrugs innocently. “The expression on your face does not lie, Kane-san.” “H-How dare! That doesn’t mean anything!” “That is not what we heard last night, Kane-san.” Izuminokami swallows a lump in his throat, seeing the lower eyelid of his partner twitch. “You are rather loud.” “Y-Yes, I am loud, but it’s because they-“

“I do not even want to know.” Horikawa sighs, turning his body fully to face the other man. “But please, keep it down. Else, who knows what else the little ones might accidentally know. Or worse.”

Izuminokami doesn’t speak, and silently nods his head. “Yes, I understand.” and prays that he does not get punished.

Though...that in itself could be a venture...

Not including my starter toudan (Yamanbagiri), Izuminokami was my first sword love ahah. He's so pretty ;;

Izuminokami had really gorgeous hair. The way it flowed in battle, the sun or moon's light catching in it was always a breathtaking sight. It looked well-maintained and something that you wanted to run your fingers through. It was a pleasant surprise when the uchigatana agreed to letting you play with his hair.

His strands were soft to the touch as you carded your fingers through them in delicate motions. Izuminokami sat in front of you, his shoulders perfectly at ease as you both basked in the warm summer sun that peeked in. His eyes fluttered shut, a sense of comfort washing over him the longer you continued to play around with his hair.

Carefully, he tilted his head back, prompting you to pause with your ministrations. His eyes shone as he looked at you, his lips quirking into a smile at you, loving while still containing that hint of smug pride.

He twisted himself around, cradling your face in between his hands and gently pulled you in for a sweet and adoring kiss. Your fingers found their way back to his smooth locks. The softness of his lips pressing against yours when coupled with the silky sensation in between your fingers was more than enough to make you feel at peace.

Valentines Day Special: Making Chocolates for You HCs (Kasen, Izuminokami, Mutsunokami)

Pairing: Kasen Kanesada x Reader, Izuminokami Kanesada x Reader, Mustunokami Yoshiyuki x Reader (all pairings intended to be romantic, but you can ignore this if you want)

Content Warnings: Swearing but that’s it, also fluff

Word Count: 500ish words

Characters: Kasen Kanesada, Izuminokami Kanesada, and Mustunokami Yoshiyuki

A/N: Ok I wanted to do more characters and might post some late ones but I wanted to get this out on Valentines Day, sorry I haven’t been posting, college is killing me lol, so have this lol some of the characters I wanted to do were Kashuu, Sanchoumou, Hasebe, Micchan, Tomoegata, and many more but here have this ehe. Surprisingly Izuminokami was the most difficult for me to write since there’s so many interpretations of him lol, but Imma try and experiment with him because he’s our lovable Kanesan! Might also post something similar on White Day but the reader making something for these lovable Touken Danshi ehe~ anyways Happy Valentines Day whether you be single, in a relationship, or do not wish to have any of that and want everyone to stfu <3

Kasen Kanesada:

- Would be torn between making you a traditional chocolate and wagashi or some other traditional Japanese sweet

- Either way it’s going to be pretty as hell and tasty so you can’t complain

- Ultimately he sticks with what he’s familiar with and makes flower themed wagashi that look like your favorite flowers

- Will mostly likely present his Valentines Day wagashi to you in the morning so you can spend the rest of the day thinking about it and spending time with him, of course being the poet that he is, he gives you a poem along with it

- The poem is mostly about how despite this special occasion lasting for only a day, the love the two of you share is something he’ll cherish forever and how you seem to enchant him everyday no matter how many days, weeks, months, or years it’s been since he’s known you

- “This holiday does a disservice to our love because it’s impossible for me to express my love to you all within a single day.”

Izuminokami Kanesada:

- When he first learned of the holiday, he was so sure he’d make the best chocolate for you but then reality struck him

- He wanted to make a cool and beautiful chocolate of himself and you, but then it exploded

- He had to ask Kunihiro to help him make it, it took many tries and he had to deliver it to you at night but the smile you gave him while eating him made all of it worth it

- Originally he wanted it to be a decorative chocolate but it kept on either hardening too fast or burnt him so Kunihiro and him decided to make some simple chocolate cookies with your initials on them

- Even though it wasn’t his original plan, he was glad that he could convey his effort and love to you in these cookies and hoped that next year he’ll improve and make you even better ones

- “Of course, they’re good, they were made by me after all! Besides I’ll make as much as you want, it’s the least I can do for the one I love!”

Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki:

- Of course being the lovable Mucchan we know him to be, he really really got into Valentines Day especially since he got to express his love to you

- Unfortunately he wasn’t the greatest at cooking and like Izuminokami burnt himself with the chocolate a lot and had to get help

- Mostly looks up trends with current Valentines Day chocolates to get inspiration and while he was fucking around with the chocolate, he made a mini gun

- The end result ended up being based off the ocean, aka a chocolate in the form of a seashell with hearts frosted all over it, because whenever he sees the vastness of the ocean, he can’t help but be reminded of you

- He gives it to you in the afternoon since he stayed up all night, making it and spent all of the morning and a good chunk of the afternoon too

- “I decided to make it based on the sea since the sea is full of endless possibilities and whenever I’m with you, I constantly feel like we can take on the world!”

"There are Onis that have attacked us right now."

That one sentence left Chizuru speechless. "What?"

She could hear the roars and shouts of battle accompanied by the sound of steel against steel echoing from outside her room. She had come back not too long before to her room. The whole fiasco with Sen had made her feelings into a swirling pool, with all the confessions that she had told Sen about. It really wore her out and she wanted to lie down and sleep to rest her body and mind. Unfortunately, she would not get that sleep that she so much needed that night.

She could hear that someone had come running and his footsteps were stopping in front of her room. It turned out to be Shimada and he said that an emergency situation had happened. And what happened was the situation described above.

When Chizuru's mind had started to work again, she shuffled from her futon and grabbed her kodachi. But when she leapt for the door to go outside, Shimada threw out his arm to stop her and his determined eyes met Chizuru's panicked ones.

"The Onis are after you," said Shimada in calm voice. "You can't go out. You need to stay here."

"But –" Chizuru's mind was in turmoil. 'I am the one that they're after. How could I just sit and wait in here while the others fight the battles, my battles for me?!' What she was most afraid of was happening. 'Everyone could die in the battle. And I don't want that to happen!'

Chizuru was imagining the worst that might happen… that the Shinsengumi could be wiped out because of her, the members could be dead of fighting the Oni, the captains could be dead because they were defending her, that he could get hurt and be killed because of her….

"I have to go Shimada-san," Chizuru said it with her most certain tone.

"No! I can't let you do that Yukimura."

Chizuru looked straight to Shimada and the man could see the determination that reflected in her eyes. "Those onis are here for me. I will try to talk to them. Maybe if they have seen me, the fight could cease. I… I just don't want anyone to get hurt because of me. Please, Shimada-san. I'm begging you." She pleaded in desperation at the end. She could hear that the sounds of the battle were getting louder. Her gut told her that it wasn't a good thing.

Shimada furrowed his eyebrows. His mouth drew into a tight line. But at last he gave a loud sigh and shook his head. "If you give me that look, I can't say no to it. Fine. You can go out. But, vice-commander Hijikata had directly commanded me to protect you personally. So if you are going out, so am I."

Chizuru nodded to Shimada's condition and gave him a brief smile, grateful for his cooperation and understanding.

They were running out from her room. Chizuru paused momentarily unsure of where to go. Shimada told her to go to one direction when suddenly she heard a strangled sound from the said man. Next she knew, Shimada flew several yards through the air then landed hard on the ground. He slid another few feet from where he landed and after that lay still, not moving at all.

"Shimada-san!" She screamed in horror, looking at the still man. Her body froze at the view. She tried to go to look at him but a voice stopped her.

"Where do you think you are going?" She felt a chill run through her body from that low-cold-flat voice. One name entered her mind as the owner of that voice.

'Kazama Chikage.'

In the same instant that Chizuru recognized the owner of the voice, she felt Kazama's arm snake around her neck, pulling her toward the oni. She struggled from his grip around her neck but his arms were as immovable as steel.

"Let me…go!" Chizuru said in a strangled voice, because of the grip around her neck.

"Hmph!" Kazama let out a sigh and said his next sentence arrogantly. "What sort of business do you still have with this false demon, huh? You as the pure Oni should not mingle around this fake Oni and humans, and get tainted with their impure minds. Especially around these Shinsengumi humans." His voice was like a cold breath in her ear. She could almost hear a sneer in his tone. "Come with me."

"Why do I have… to do… that?" Still in her strangled voice she asked the question to her capturer. She could feel that her strength was ebbing slowly.

"Because no matter how much you give to these humans, in the end they will betray you. Haven't you learn from what happened with the Yukimura clan? The humans betrayed and killed your whole clan. Your family. And with those abominations that you've seen they've created. What could you possibly hope to gain from them?"

"I…" Chizuru lost her words. The creation of Rasetsu was hardly something she approved of. But she wasn't officially part of the Shinsengumi. What right did she have to criticize their actions? Especially when the very concoction that allowed the Shinsengumi to create their 'false demons' had been created by her own father?

With that thought lingering in her mind, she could feel her consciousness was fading and her vision became black not long after. She had lost consciousness.

Kazama felt Chizuru's body go limp. He caught her and carried her in his arms, as gentle as he could be. He looked into Chizuru's face and a smirk was spread on his face.

He had accomplished his purpose of coming to this godforsaken place. It was time to depart. But first he had to meet his other Oni fellows that were still fighting with the Shinsengumi members and tell them to stop the meaningless fight. He didn't want to waste any more time than they should.

The fighting was fierce on the temple grounds. Even Sannan, the supposed-dead-man, had come out. He turned into a Rasetsu and fought with one of the oni, known as Amagiri Kyuju. The other oni was fighting with Harada.

"Shiranui, wasn't it?" Harada said while dodging the bullet shot by the said oni.

"Harada, huh?" The oni acknowledged the captain on the 10th squad of Shinsengumi.

"I'll be your opponent. Let's settle the previous unfinished battle, shall we?" Harada readied his spear to attack Shiranui.

Shiranui answered Harada's invitation with another shot. From then the two were engrossed with their battle.

The rest of the Shinsengumi members that gathered on the grounds could only watch the battle. They were waiting and also ready on the sideline and if they were needed they would assist the captain.

In the midst of that, a shadow emerged from the darkness followed by a voice.

"I have what I want. Let's go back."

All the heads turned to the voice and the fight was also stopped midway. The Shinsengumi captains' eyes widened when they saw who the voice belonged to and what he carried in his arms.

"Oi, oi," Shiranui drawled. "I'm not finished yet you know. Don't take the fun out of it."

"If we stay here for too long, these humans' stink might rub off on us." Kazama spoke in his haughty tone. "Besides, I'm here only to take this oni woman with us. There are no reasons for us to stay any longer." Shiranui was clicking his tongue but he didn't argue any longer with Kazama, while Amagiri nodded his head from the start.

"Hey! Let her go!" Harada blocked the three onis. The other members were standing behind him. Sannan stood beside Harada, his sword pointed to the onis.

"Stop right there!" A shout from other side was heard and with that came the running Hijikata. He was unsheathing his katana, the famous Izuminokami Kanesada, from its scabbard and ran to Kazama. He thrust his katana at the oni, but Kazama dodged it with a graceful move. He moved several steps back while dodging Hijikata's attack.

The intense glare sent toward each other was swirling between them.

There was a pillar near where Kazama stood. He put Chizuru down next to the pillar. "You dare turn your katana on me," Kazama took his katana from his scabbard on his waist. "How interesting."

Hijikata moved his stance, readied to attack. Kazama held his katana in his hand; his eyes glinted in menace toward Hijikata. "Let's play then."

That was the cue and their katana were against each other with a clanging sound.

"Ugh…!" Hijikata had to admit that Kazama really was a formidable opponent. Even though he used all his strength to attack and defend, he could feel the difference between their strength. Each attack from Kazama was so strong and his speed was on another level. It was not that he was slow, but his opponent was so much faster than him. He defended from the attack and he felt his arms getting heavier. Kazama was serious and if he didn't use all the power that he had, death was waiting for him in the end.

"Are you surprised with my strength?" Kazama said calmly in his haughty tone. "This is the true strength of an Oni. My true strength to be exact. You humans can't stand the true strength of Oni power. I guess play time is over. I will bring this woman to the place that she belongs to." He pointed the tip of his katana at the vice commander.

Chizuru eyes were flickering. She was regaining consciousness. Her head still felt a little bit dizzy. But she could hear the sound around her. And one voice caught her attention.

"She doesn't need to go to anywhere. Her place is here. She belongs here."

She heard the conviction in Hijikata's voice. And what she heard made her heart beat frantically. 'Hijikata-san…'

Kazama let out a sneering laugh. "You do realize that she isn't a human, don't you? She is an oni. You fools have no idea of her worth. She will become most valuable to us. Can't waste that on human like you."

Hijikata furrowed his brow, a piercing glare directed at Kazama. "I don't give a s**t about that. She's under our protection, the Shinsengumi. You won't have it your way. She will decide what she wants by herself. You can't force your will on her!"

Kazama narrowed his eyes. "I can't allow our kind to fraternize with those fakes . Especially a pure blood like her and myself. She will come with me and to be honest, I also don't give a s**t about all you humans."

With that Kazama leapt from his spot and he attacked Sannan in full force. Sannan didn't see it coming and he couldn't defend himself in time.

"Sannan-san!" Hijikata ran to Sannan and lifted his katana to slash Kazama. But before he could reach Kazama, the Oni let out a force that knocked him hard and made him roll a few feet away on the ground. His sword was released from his grip and was thrown out in the different direction. Chizuru watched the whole incident with bated breath. It seemed no one had recognized that she had regained consciousness.

"A-Agh…" Hijikata couldn't move his body. With hard effort he managed to stand, but even then he was stumbling in his stance. His head was spinning and his vision wasn't clear enough. When he could assess his surrounding, he realized that Kazama was on his way to attack him while he still tried to regain his composure. His hands still felt numb. He couldn't raise them to defend himself from the attack. He was bracing himself for whatever impact the Oni would give to him from the attack.

….But the attack didn't come.

Instead he was pushed by someone on his shoulder. He could hear a hiss sound come from the one that pushed him, indicating that this person received the attack instead of him. And to his, and Kazama's, surprise… It was Yukimura Chizuru.

"Yukimura!"

When Chizuru saw Kazama come at Hijikata to attack the vice commander, her body was moving on auto pilot. Without thinking she got up from her sitting position and pushed Hijikata away from the attack. Hijikata had rolled and stopped near where Chizuru was. The katana sliced her shoulder and fresh blood poured out from the wound.

"You…!" Kazama lost his words upon seeing Chizuru's action.

Hijikata fell to the ground when Chizuru pushed him. Both of them stared into each other eyes before Chizuru turned her body toward Kazama. She pulled out her kodachi from its sheath. With cold sweat running down on her back and shaking leg, she faced Kazama.

"Why would an Oni protect a human?" Kazama asked in a chilling voice, his eyes smoldering with cold fury. He was trying to repress the bubbling anger that arose from the previous incident. 'This woman… Why is she so stubborn?!'

"Even if I am an oni, that's not a reason to not protect someone that is dear to me. Please, leave this place." Chizuru’s voice was still hoarse, the after effect of Kazama strangling her neck previously. But she spoke in a steady and firm tone.

"Human and Oni can't live together. We are different from the humans." Once again Kazama let out a force that enveloped him and Chizuru. Their hair turned into white and their eyes turned into gold. Chizuru's wound was closing with inhuman speed and as if she had never received any wound, her supposedly bleeding shoulder was good as normal again. "See? We're different from them. You are not stupid enough to think that you can live together with them, are you? Your background history has already told you that you should not trust any human. You belong with us, Yukimura Chizuru."

"I….I…." Her hands were shaking. Her voice wasn't as sure as before. She couldn't counter what Kazama had told her. While it was the truth, she couldn't accept it as the whole truth. But she didn't have any proof to show it to him.

Suddenly she felt that her shoulder was being pulled gently and a strong arm was curling around it. Someone had taken her kodachi from her hand. That someone was the one that pulled and embraced her, and at the same time was catching and sheltering her. That someone was Hijikata. She gazed at the man that embraced her so tightly.

"You stand in the house of the Wolves of Mibu," Hijikata had gained his composure fully. "There are no humans in here in the first place!"

"Hijikata-san…." She spoke his name softly.

"I won't let you screw us over with a mere thought like that."

Several moments passed before Kazama retracted the force and he and Chizuru turned back into their human appearance.

"…You would choose a simple human, then?"

"I refuse to go with you. Please leave!"

Kazama stared back indifferently. Then he sheathed his katana. "How disappointing."

Shiranui and Amagiri were standing behind Kazama. They could feel that the battle was over.

"What a waste of time," Kazama turned his body and began to walk out from the compound. "We're leaving."

"Huh?" Shiranui let out a tired sigh. "You just do whatever you please, really." He clucked his tongue again, not pleased with how the events unfolded in the end. Still, he followed his fellow oni to walk out.

Amagiri bowed to the Shinsengumi before he followed the other two.

When he was only a few feet away from the gate, Kazama stopped and spoke his last words without turning. "Oni and humans can't live together in the same place. If you want to carry on that fantasy of coexisting in the same place and as you said, keeping her under your protection, then I will see you do it.

"But I can assure you that you will fail. And when that time comes, I'll get her. After all she's mine. And she doesn't belong to any of you mere humans."

After he said his cryptic words, they walked out of the compound and leap into the darkness.

Chizuru's body sagged with relief as the terrified energy of the last minutes quickly ebbed away. Hijikata could feel that Chizuru was leaning into his body. When he released his tight hold from Chizuru to see if she was alright, she fell to the ground. He didn't react fast enough to catch her. His muscles were screaming from the previous beating he took when he fought with Kazama.

Chizuru still could feel the warmth of his arm lingering around her body after he let go of her and her body dropped to the ground. And she knew that he was staring at her from where he stood. But for some reason, she couldn't turn and stare back at the man that had defended her with his life.

"Yukimu-,"

"TOSHII!" Kondou yelled to Hijikata and was running to his side, cutting off whatever Hijikata wanted to say to Chizuru.

"Kondou-san." Hijikata greeted Kondou and his demeanor had returned to the oni fukuchou of the Shinsengumi. His face was cold and hard. He left Chizuru while barking a command to look into the injury and the state of the rest of the members of the Shinsengumi.

Harada helped Chizuru to stand.

"You alright, Chizuru-chan?" asked the man with concern.

Chizuru nodded her head. But she didn't utter any words to state her well-being. It's like Harada could feel Chizuru's feelings. He just patted Chizuru's head and then walked away to where Hijikata had gone to.

After a few moments, she also walked in the direction the others had gone to, the infirmary. She would help Yamazaki in treating the injured members. While hoping desperately there wouldn't be a member that died because of the previous incident.

She knew that Sen had warned her of how she would feel. The feeling that had begun to grow inside her body since the beginning of the incident.

The guilty feeling that had slowly but surely begun to weaken her resolve.

And she didn't know if she could stand and hold the feeling any longer.

Her chest was tightening in a suffocating way. If she didn't maintain her composure, she knew that she would break down and maybe hyperventilate because of her guilty conscience.

She wanted to cry. To scream her heart out because of the agony of that guilty feeling.

….But at the same time. She had to be strong.

She didn't want the trust that he had given to her to disappear because of the fear and guilty feeling.

She wanted to show him that she was worthy of his trust.

She wanted to show him that she's someone that could be counted on.

She wanted to show him that his choice of letting her stay with the Shinsengumi was the right one.

In all, she didn't want to make him disappointed in her.

But the intense feeling inside her chest was hurting her from inside.

Not the first time that she had faced a thing like this. The confused feeling had clouded her mind before. But never had she felt so hopeless and defeated at the same time.

'What… do I have… to do….?'

Note: This chapter is supposed to be one of the important scene that happen in the story. But somehow, it turned out to be so-so. I don't know why. Maybe because (I think) we already know what will happen for this part. I tried to input my thought in the story so it could sync with the main idea. But still... It didn't give much effect. That's what I feel.

Still, this is one of the turning point that Chizuru has to take. The decision of her staying with the Shinsengumi. And what that decision will bring. I have imagined this scene since I made the story. I really want to make this scene an epic one... But maybe I didn't.

Now how could you say ‘no’ to him?

Not when your beloved warrior suddenly placed his head in your lap out of the blue, his cheeks flushed a light dusty pink – purposefully facing away from you to hide it. A snicker leaves your lips, your beloved only bristling at the sound. “Alright,” you answer him, almost feeling him shine with pride.

Your hands find his long locks, always so smooth and thin – able to be put into whatever style you all so desired.

Your fingers brush against his scalp, the man practically purring at the sensation that sends tingles down his spine. You could see his shoulders sag, eyes fluttering shut as he nestles closer to your warmth.

Who the hell allowed him to be so damn cute?

A song begins to tug at your vocal strings, at your tongue, weaving melodies from the long gone muses – translating into your native tongue.

It’s a song you’ve almost forgotten, but kept somewhere; in the back of your mind, locked away, from a time before the war. A time before being the sage that fought and fought and fought until you had nothing left.

Perhaps you shouldn’t say nothing when you had something.

And that something was falling asleep in your lap. His soft snores emanating from his lips, lines of war and woe fading from his expression – the Sandman taking him to a place where gunfire and swords and steel could never hurt him.

If your arms could be enough for it, so be it.

May I request Izuminokami, Horikawa and Ookurikara with a chubby female saniwa who has low self-esteem? How would they handle her self-esteem problems?

Hmm, I wasn’t sure how to approach this, but I hope this is fine. Please remember that you are beautiful and worthy of love!

Izuminokami Kanesada

He honestly probably doesn’t even notice anything at first

You’re his master and that’s that. He doesn’t think too much about it; regardless of your appearance, that’s the truth

It takes him a while to connect the dots; he can tell that there’s something bothering you, but he can’t figure out what it is

Until he actually puts things together, he’s going to pester you to either find out what’s bothering you or to try and see what he can do to help

As he can be a bit dense, it may take some interference from the other swords to get him to tone it down a bit, especially if your low assessment of yourself has you feeling like you’re not in a position to say anything about it

Once he does take a step back though, he watches you a bit more carefully and discerns that you don’t think too highly of yourself

He immediately wants to know why you feel that way about yourself because he wants to help you

Izumi, brash as he can be, decides to charge in immediately to try and help you, whether it’s refuting negative statements you make about yourself or praising you when you’ve done well, along with awkward consolation when you’re feeling down about something

It’s a bit over-the-top, and maybe a bit intimidating if you’re on the shyer side, but it’s clear he means well and his heart is in the right place

He tries to build you up in his own way and regardless of whether his intended goal is reached, you can’t help but smile at his earnest attempts to have you value yourself, even if just a little more

Horikawa Kunihiro

He notices that something is bothering you and is able to figure out fairly quickly that you have a low self-esteem

It takes him a little longer to realize what might be the root of your low evaluation of yourself, but once he has an idea of what might be the cause, he’ll naturally work on helping you see yourself in a better light

He tries to help build you up by complimenting you on things that aren’t related to the reason you think so little of yourself

In doing so he hopes you can become confident in other respects, and will work on building you up from what he hopes is a solid starting point

He’s more methodical than Izuminokami is and has a plan to loosely follow; he just wants you to see yourself as a worthy person, because in his eyes (and many of the other swords as well) you already are worthy as you are

Basically from that he goes to addressing your insecurities and helping you be more confident

It’s a slow process whose progress isn’t always steady, but his support for you is unwavering and

He earnestly hopes that you’ll be able to work through your insecurities, but wouldn’t force you to if you aren’t ready to face that quite yet

If you aren’t prepared to undertake the task of addressing your insecurities, then he’ll encourage you and try to lend you the strength to approach things slowly

He knows he can’t fix your issues for you, but at the very least, when the times comes when you must say your final farewell, he hopes that you will remember him and that you’ll continue to push forward, even if he’s no longer by your side

Ookurikara

Although he insists on not getting along with anyone, it doesn’t mean that he doesn’t pay attention to the people that are around him

You’re no exception to this observation and despite his tendencies to push others away, picks up fairly quickly that you’re not all too confident in yourself or your abilities

He tells himself that it doesn’t matter and at first he’s not bothered about it. He’s aware that not everyone is going to be self-assured and reasons that it could be a number of things, such as anxiety with regards to being unfamiliar with war

But as time passes he notices that there are times you have good days and bad days, noting that you’re trying to get past whatever it is that’s holding you back

If he’s being honest with himself, it upsets him to a degree, as you’re the master, so you should be more confident in yourself

But Ookurikara isn’t an asshole about it

He’s more roundabout it than any of the aforementioned swords, telling you that you should have more faith in yourself, as all of the swords of the citadel put their faith in you; they’ve all stood by your side all this time, after all

He doesn’t realize that he’s implied that he also believes in you until after the words are already out of his mouth, but he means what he said

Honestly his words come off a bit harsh and sound more like a scolding than comfort or advice, and he really doesn’t know how to help, but he does think you should take pride in what you have accomplished so far
