I have a question for the JaimexBrienne fandom on ao3

Does anyone know what happened to Hildegardtheb? Their fics are awesome and then one day they stopped publishing. I'm sure it's not for lack of support!

Afaik they don't do social media. I remember reading in their notes that their life tended ro get it the way of writing, I just hope they are doing fine even if they don't keep writing.

I’m seeing this rise up again because of Tedbecca discourse, but can the idea of platonic relationships “transcending” romantic relationships and the seemingly intellectual superiority that comes with it, please die out? The problem is too many years of cliche, banal, romantic onscreen relationships have fostered the idea that romantic relationships themselves are trivial and exist only to fulfill some sexual needs or society’s expectations to be “paired off.” Yes I agree there are too many romantic relationships onscreen but let’s be specific-too many perfunctory, boring ones. Yes not all relationships need to turn sexual/romantic to be interesting but for any romantic relationship to be interesting (to me at least) it has to contain the very elements that ironically make others think it must “transcend” any romantic description.

I am almost certain I am the only person on planet earth who affirms that Jaime x Brienne are Grantaire x Enjolras coded and this may very well be just a ridiculous biased need to draw similarities between my fav things where there are none.

Having said that, Jaime x Brienne are Grantaire x Enjolras coded and I am so right you don't even know. The only meaningful difference between them is that one couple is not exclusively blond.

His eyes light up briefly as he seems to repeat her name soundlessly. There’s amusement in the expression, and she wonders what he’s found so funny. “That’s a good name," he eventually says, "but I think I’ll still go with Lib, instead.”

When crime novelist Jaime Lannister enters Bloom Lane’s always empty bookstore, he doesn’t get the welcome he expects. Instead it’s the worst herbal tea he’s ever tasted and the tallest, most stubborn owner that ever existed.

He decides to come back for a second visit.
