Comfort In A Knight

There was an uproar in the infinite realms after they found out about the GIW's imprisonment of the crowned prince, and as an attempt to damage control, he decides to hold a temporary martial law over the dimension. Some are upset, of course; but all of them ultimately acknowledges the young ruler's attempts on not starting an interdimensional war.

A few months go by, and while the inhabitants of the infinite realms all calmed down from the initial uproar, ironically, the crowned prince is the one getting agitated by the meddling of humans. All the pressure of his monarch lessons so he could take the king mantel, civil conflict between different parts of the realm, and some extremist rebellions are slowly making him more tired, anxious, and easily agitated. The once lawful neutral prince has turned into someone who would get rid of anyone he deemed as a bug, squashed by the heel of his boots.

Tl:Dr; He's tired of everyone's bullshit.

So really, it's not a surprise to see his eldritch self bounded inside a summoning circle, surrounded by Justice League members because of course he is.

"What do you want."

He's really contemplating on going 'fuck it' and destroy earth right now.

...that is, before a familiar gruffy voice called out to him.

"That's enough, Charon."

He whipped his head (if you can call it that) to the direction of the voice, finding batman's figure walking closer to him, ignoring the yelling from other Justice League members.

Eventually, he drops his act and turn into the teenager the Batman is all too familiar with. The boy drops his hand below the golden ribcage nestled on his chest, the familiar white hair peeking out of his hood slightly move around non-existent air, as his Lazarus green eyes stared at the dark knight, causing his Calavera–painted face to scrunch.

The man didn't stop for a second as he trudged closer, only stopping when he's directly Infront of the ghost, all within arms reach.

"I'm right here."

For the first time in several months, the prince finds himself breaking down into a sob. He easily destroyed the (poor attempt of a) binds caging him, throwing himself to the Knight's body.

The rest of the League stared at them dumbfoundedly, before Batman eventually sighed.

"Justice league; Phantom. Crowned prince of the infinite realms."

"...And my ward."

I'm working on a fic and was like 'how in the hell do you make LINGUANG JUN the least bit redeemable?'. I mean, /Linguang jun/ who tossed a developmentally four year old Mobei Jun to a pack of humans? The kid could have died. And then I saw a translation of the extras. It describes lgj as mbj's 'young uncle', says that he 'wasn't that much older than him (mbj)'. And I just- its a hell of a lot different, a Scar type tossing his nephew to the proverbial wolves than it is for a maybe dumb, maybe petty, maybe developmentally five or six year old to shove their annoying technically-nephew-who-in-age-and-context-is-more-like-a-brother-than-lgj's-actual-brother into a situation that the text implies was more frightening than actually /dangerous/. And that- well I can work with that.

GUYSSSS??!? GUYSSSSSS!!??!

So last night I saw her!! FUCKING MELANIE MARTINEZ!!!!

Details:

•I waited with a friend 4,5 hours outside (it was raining and lightning) but we made it basically to the front

•I found new friends (idk why but somehow I was super connective the day)

•the Melanie community was soooo so nice (and hot:3) and I felt sooo comfortable

• the show was brilliant (amazing background, great organisation, nice people, good music before the concert, Melanie performance was wonderful and incredible and she has such a sweet voice)

•she said “I hope I see you guys next year” and I was like crying and screaming

The Rat King was unable to do anything bad on Eric Ahlberg. How could that be possible?

I mean my blunt opinion is that I think it's not-great writing; it feels a lot like one of those cases like Kaisa where they had to just find an excuse why something they'd previously introduced wasn't sufficient to resolve X problem (it feels like an aborted arc most of all tbh - a "find Erik's secrets plot" that never got fully realised - it could work well with my alternative idea for the movie). That being said, we've seen that the Rat King doesn't automatically know things - they have to be told secrets by marra or by other folk - it's very possible that nobody ever snitched on Erik because of how good his public image was.
