Like I genuinely enjoyed Simon's motivations for turning Asha in, though I do think they could have done it a little better. They alluded to Simon being different after giving in his wish, so I think him being the sleepy dwarf was a good way of showing physical evidence of how giving such an integral part of yourself away could change you. But they only did that once near the very beginning before Asha's interview, so its a line that could be easily forgotten.
If they had showed both Dahlia and Asha (and no one else those friends did NOT need to be there. Not even the introvert with the hiding place) teasing him a little more about being different and Simon sort of laughing it off in a 'haha, its funny but not really and i'm actually really insecure about it because I know you guys keep saying I'm different but I genuinely don't know what you're talking about' type-of-way I think it would've worked to show the bad side of Magnifico's wish-keeping, as well as why Simon did something as hurtful to Asha as betraying her.
Because yeah, having to go through life knowing deep down that you're missing the thing that's makes you wholly you, especially with the knowledge that you yourself gave it away, does seem scary.

She Ain't Gotta Do Much - 8
Kristanna Modern AU Rated: M WC: 2886
Chapter Index
-----------------
The rest of the week went just as smoothly as Kristoff had hoped.  Not only that, Tony wanted a week to prep for closure, and then he and Sven were going to get to work on the renovation.  Apparently, there was indeed a new deli going in a block over, and Tony didn’t want to waste much more time bringing his place up to date.
By quitting time on Thursday, Kristoff and Sven had meandered around finishing the install of all the doors and helping staff by moving heavy furniture here and there.  Everyone only had the best things to say about the two of them.
Both of them beamed all afternoon.
Anna joined them for a celebratory beer after work which turned into celebratory shots, which turned into Anna catching a cab home at midnight – she did have to work the next day after all – and Kristoff and Sven having a very inebriated and deep conversation about how they both felt they’d found the women they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with.
Apparently, Sven was just as smitten as Kristoff was, and it was refreshing to him to hear his friend talk about a woman in a future sense.  Perhaps it was the same for Sven when he talked about Anna.
They both agreed that the direction of their love lives, and the direction of their business, were looking better that they ever had.  Sharing a cab back to Kristoff’s because it was closer, Sven admitted the truly dark fears he’d had before they landed Anna’s job, and how relieved he was that things were turning around.  Both men got emotional to the point where they looked out their respective windows and blinked back tears that formed in their eyes.
Back at Kristoff’s, they each had a night cap neither of them needed, and Sven collapsed on the couch face first.  Kristoff threw a blanket over his friend then stripped to his boxers and crawled into his own bed.  His only thoughts were of Anna, and how he could not wait until he saw what she had in mind for his spa day on Saturday.
~   ~   ~   ~   ~
He arrived at noon, as Anna had requested.  He buzzed her apartment, and to his surprise, she said she’d be right down.  He stood there on the sidewalk in the fall sunshine, waiting to see what was going to happen.
She appeared out of the building doors in a Led Zeppelin t-shirt and jeans, and he loved it when she wore stuff like that.  Then she pulled him into a deep kiss and he forgot time and space until she pulled her lips away from his.
“Can you throw your bag in your truck for a minute?  I just had an idea before we start your spa day.”  She said the last two words with a raised eyebrow and devilish look.
He was helpless to comply.
They walked north, chatting about how their Friday’s had been.   Kristoff’s had been fine.  He’d woken early, despite the hangover, and worked on the other quotes in his room until he heard Sven stir.  They’d taken themselves out for a greasy breakfast, and caught a cab back to the Pub to grab their vehicles.   Sven announced as he was about to get into his car that he didn’t want to see or hear from Kristoff until their work meeting on Monday morning, which Kristoff was more than happy to oblige.
Anna told him she was hungover as well, but since it was the office placement day, she was able to spend the majority of if setting up her brand-new space.  Which hungover or not, she took great delight in.
Five minutes later they were at an intersection with a strip mall.  Anna mentioned that she had planned for them to take a walk in the evening, but since there was rain in the forecast, she changed her plans for them to go have a nice lunch at the new Italian market that had gone in a month prior.
They ended up splitting a caprese salad and a porchetta sandwich on Italian ciabatta.   Afterward they each had a Cannoli, and Kristoff had never had one that had tasted so fresh.  Apparently, it was made with mascarpone and not ricotta.  The entire meal was actually quite light, considering.
Afterward they walked back to Anna’s and Kristoff retrieved his bag from his truck, his body tingling again with the thoughts of what was to come.  Once inside her place, he noticed that the sky was indeed starting to darken to the west.
The next thing on his spa day apparently, was an actual spa thing.  Anna wanted to give him a facial.  She said she’d taken a few courses in various things here and there in the year before she committed to college, and she had every intention of doing it to him.
He relented, with mild chagrin.  He really didn’t want one, but he was not going to hurt Anna’s feelings.
Then five minutes into it, he nearly fell asleep.  She had started with a warm washcloth, gently cleaning then exfoliating his skin with something that smelled kind of nice.  It was wonderful.  He hadn’t realized how much stress he’d been carrying until all of the sudden she was massaging it out of him.  Then she put some moisturizer on her hands and worked it into his skin and he’d never felt more relaxed to have someone touching him like that.
He was sitting with is head laying on the back of the couch, Anna standing over him from behind for lack of an actual masseuse table to do it on, and he hadn’t even realized she’d stopped until her lips met his.
Upside down.  Like that stupid spider-man movie.
And fuck if it didn’t feel as good as they made it seem in the films.
That was the end of his facial.
As much as he wanted that kissing to continue, Anna changed direction by turning off all the lights in the living room off except a floor lamp in the corner that offered soft, dim lighting, bringing him a nice cold bottle of beer, and turning on the TV to the one show he’d mentioned in passing on their first date that he’d wanted to catch up on sometime.   She snuggled into him with a glass of wine and they watched in perfect and comfortable silence as the sky grew darker outside.
After the first episode, Anna refreshed their drinks and brought in some popcorn and snacks.  It had started to rain, making the ambiance even more cozy than it already was.  Kristoff was enjoying the hell out of himself, and yet in the back of his mind, he could only think about kissing her again and not stopping.
At the end of the second episode, Anna asked him how he was liking the show and he told her that he was very much enjoying it, and yet something about her demeanor suggested she was just as distracted by their proximity as he was.
He knew this was not what she had planned, but his lips went to hers anyways, and the kisses became a frenzied passionate need for each other in the blink of an eye.  She tasted like Twizzlers and white wine and he could not get enough of her.  Every fibre of his being was crying out with euphoria as they made their way to her bedroom, stumbling and kissing and undressing each other the entire way.
By the time they reached her bed, they were both in their underwear and physically unable of pulling apart.  They remained kissing passionately until Anna whimpered in the back of her throat and Kristoff stopped only long enough to lay her on the bed, crawl over her, and kiss her again.
It took some more time before they were both naked under the sheets, their mouths almost constantly pressed together through the entire endeavor.  Then the passion really started, when Kristoff moved his caress to her thighs while he kissed her, working inward until he could touch her the way he’d imagined since he’d met her.
She gasped as his fingers worked.  He listened to her wordless cues and knew exactly what she wanted.  The way her body writhed under him made him harder than he thought possible.  And then she pulled in a shocked breath and came undone in his arms, gripping him to her as though her life depended on it.
By then his mind was wild with desire, and he asked gruffly where she wanted him.  Understanding, Anna forced him onto his back, straddled him, and kissed him again.  After that his thoughts went blank except for the deep intensity he felt for her.  The attraction.  The devotion.  The love.
All the time he’d imagined them coming together didn’t include this level of pleasure he was feeling.  When Anna seemed to be on the cusp a short time later, Kristoff knew he was almost spent too, intending to join her.  And as they both climaxed, the room went bright with light and thunder cracked a split second later, killing the power and leaving them in complete darkness while they rode out their gratification together.
*****
Anna woke from their nap first, the feeling of absolute contentment washing over her all over again to find herself snuggled against Kristoff’s side.  They’d laid in bed in the dark, listening to the storm move off before they both fell asleep, and neither of them had moved an inch.
Her mind whirled lazily with happy thoughts.  Anna caressed her hand gently against his bare chest, needing to simply touch him but not wanting to wake him.  He remained breathing deeply as Anna enjoying this moment to herself.
She had no idea what time it was.  The power was still off and her phone was somewhere in the living room.  Not that she cared.  So, okay, her rest and relaxation day for Kristoff hadn’t quite gone as she’d planned, but one could hardly argue about having mind-blowing sex instead.   And although she didn’t know the time, she knew by the light behind the dark curtains that there was certainly enough left in the day to find themselves joined together again.
Kristoff stirred a few moments later and let out a deeply satisfied exhale when he woke and found Anna snuggled against him.  He moved his head to the side and pressed a kiss onto her forehead.
“Well, so far, this has been the best spa day of my life,” he said slowly.
Anna chuckled.  “Yeah, things kind of got off the rails there.”
“Hmmm.  So what was the plan anyway?”
“Well, I wanted to the facial first.  I knew you’d be apprehensive, but it wasn’t like a full facial where I start digging out your blackheads or anything.”
“Gross.  Thanks for not doing that.”
Anna laughed.  “You don’t have many.  I probably have more.  But anyway, I wanted to massage your face because I remembered that it activated your sympathetic nerve system which relieves anxiety and stress.”
“It certainly felt relaxing.  I could have fallen asleep if you didn’t kiss me.”
Anna smiled in the dark.  “I couldn’t help myself.”
“I’m glad.”
“After we watched the show, I was going to order whatever food you wanted, then after dinner I was going to give you a full body massage which was supposed to lead where we already went, so I guess things are just a bit out of order.”
“Ah, order is overrated.”
“It certainly is.”
“Then what?”
“Well, there’s a hockey game on tonight, so I thought we could watch that here, or if you were up for it, we could walk down the block and catch it in the Pub.”  Anna shrugged against him.  “I had kind of just planned for you to be as relaxed and comfortable as possible.”
“I am very much that.”
“Good.”
Kristoff was silent a moment before he spoke.  “You know, you don’t have to pamper me.  I would be just as relaxed and comfortable whatever you wanted to do.  You just… you don’t have to do much.  At all.  I’m just in.  You know?”
Anna grinned to herself.  What the hell had she ever done to deserve this man?  “I feel the same when I’m with you, Kristoff.  And I look forward to when we do the date thing you’d planned for today.”
“It’s probably better we postponed it anyway, with the rain and all,” he said, slipping out from her grasp and sitting up.  “It was an outside activity.”
“Ooh.  You going to give me a hint?”  Anna sat up as well.
He laughed.  “Nope.”
Kristoff stood and Anna could just barely make out his naked form as he moved through the room.   He found his shirt discarded by the door and slipped it over his head.
“Any idea where my pants ended up?” he asked.
“Um, the hallway, I think.”
Kristoff opened the partially closed bedroom door and left the room.  “Oh yeah, here’s my underwear too,” he called from the hall.
Anna chuckled and started to find her own clothing.  It was brighter in the hall with the dim light coming in from the kitchen windows, and she dressed quickly to find Kristoff dressed and standing in her living room, staring out the sliding glass windows to her little balcony.
“Looks like it’s pretty socked in,” he commented.  “What do you want to do?”
Anna walked over to him and spied her phone on the end table.  She tapped the screen and was a little surprised it was already just about seven.  The hockey game was set to start at eight.  And since they still didn’t have any power, she had a suggestion.
“How about we walk to the Pub anyway.  Maybe they have power on that block, then we can eat there and catch the game.”
Kristoff turned towards her and pulled her into an embrace.  “Sounds amazing,” he said, and leaned over to kiss her.
-----
Their team was winning by three goals when neither of them seemed to be able to ignore what was building up between them again.  They paid their tab hastily and started to walk back to Anna’s.  The sky opened up again about half way there.
Apparently, they forgot all about the umbrella they’d walked to the Pub with.
As soon as the door was shut behind them, Anna plunged her hands into his damp hair, pulling his lips tighter against hers.  Her need for him was immense.
They undressed each other in a mindless fervor when some sense came into Anna’s head that they were naked, going at it in full view from her living room window.  She mentioned something between his kisses and then all of the sudden she was airborne in his arms as he carried her quickly down the hall and threw her on the bed.  He stood there looking at her for a moment with adoration, then he was on her an instant later, and Anna eagerly awaited what was to come.
“You do have tattoos,” he muttered as he kissed down her neck.
“Huh?” she asked, not understanding why he’d said that.
He pulled his head up and stared at her a second.  “What did I say?”
“You stated… that I had tattoos.”
He smirked.  “Well, you do.”
“You didn’t see them the first time?”
He chuckled low.  “No, actually, I missed them.  Too distracted by other things.”
“So, it was something you were wondering?”
He grinned.  “That, and other things.”
“What kind of other things?”
He hummed as he started kissing her shoulder.  “If you had any piercings.”
“You must have at least noticed that I don’t.  Except my ears.”
He laughed and spoke against her shoulder.  “That I did notice.”
“What else?”
“How many freckles were on your body.”  He shifted and kissed his way down between, then onto her breasts.
“Quite a few,” she sighed, as he took his time.
“I know,” he mumbled.  “I intend to kiss them all.”
Jesus Christ the things this man could do to her.  “I wondered things about you too.”
“Such as?” he asked, taking a break to look up at her.
“Well, pretty similar things.  I didn’t really wonder about any piercings per se.  You don’t seem like the type.”
“Yeah, I’m definitely not.”  He kissed her body again.
“I was a little surprised you don’t have any tattoos.”
His head came up.  “Not yet.”
“You’re not opposed to them?”
He shook his head.  “Not at all.  Just haven’t found anything I felt warranted inking on my skin.”  His head went down to kiss her and he brought it back up quickly and smiled.  “Yet.”
Anna hummed happily and curled her fingers up into his hair as he resumed kissing past her belly button towards the part of her that was throbbing. “I did picture you naked about a hundred times as well,” she admitted.
“I hope I didn’t disappoint,” me muttered against the skin right above her aching desire.
“Oh definitely not!  I was quite delighted actually, and… sat… satis…. Oh God.”
He put his mouth exactly where she wanted it and words left her mind as her body lit up with pleasure.

I will never shut up about how dirty Da2 was to Justice like. Justice is ROMANTIC, in Awakening! He was awestruck by a sunrise. Hes in a brand new world, terrified and alone, and took comfort in how lovely the sunrise was. He lets his companions put flowers in his armor, because he cannot smell that he is piloting a corpse (bc it is a corpse and cannot smell). He literally sounded on the verge of tears when he unintentionally upset the wife of his host, of whom he remembered, distantly, as if she were his own wife. How much did it mean to the warden, particularly the "bad" wardens, ruthless blood mages or criminal dusters who spit venom, that Justice Itself said "you seem like a good sort. I will follow you"??
Vengeance has always been part of Justice, he mentions even in his recruitment that fighting with the wardens is the least he can do to AVENGE Kristoff. Vengeance is not a demon, just a facet of Justice. And the fear of becoming something else has always been with Justice too—when Anders wants to know the difference, his prodding upsets Justice, and Anders apologized. Said "I hope you never learn why then." And Justice said "As do I."
LETS TALK JUSTICE AND ANDERS MORE
Justice sounds. SO. Empathetic. When he says "I hear you struggle with your oppression, mage." When we met him in the Fade, he was armored, not wearing the chantrys symbol but shaped like a templar, maybe molded by the villagers trapped by the Baroness. They needed a wicked mage defeated, so they conjured what they thought would win. But Justice IMMEDIATELY, in the physical world, turns his sympathies to Anders, pointing out that Anders is in a very unique position to aid other mages.
And something about that sticks with Anders, even when he brushed it off at the time. And in game, they seem less than friendly, but we also know that Justice was WITH Anders when he took the sword from the templar. Justice must have thought he needed the protection, and was right. I don't think they hate each other, I don't think they're constantly at odds like the second narrative leads us to believe.
WHICH BRINGS ME RIGHT BACK. TO ROMANCE.
There is no way that if ANDERS loves Hawke, that Justice doesn't.
He feels what his host feels!! He remembers what they remember, as if it were him!! He mourned Karl too. He is just as reluctantly charmed by Isabela as he was with Sigrun—who made a game of stealing his knickknacks just to prove she could. If Hawke is an ally to the mages cause, there is no way in my mind that Justice disapproves. And if Anders falls in love, I think Justice does too.
If there is any wariness at ALL, I could see maybe Justice remembering the way Anders hurt when Karl was killed, and worried of a repeat performance—especially with mage Hawke. But I don't think he hates Hawke at all.

Queen Elsa Headcanons
Tumblr media
Might write a full story on my Quotev [Both a Genderbend version and Normal]
Reader is Genderneutral
She was very mean to you at first
Say you were a guard or worked for the royal palace
You were mistaken as a guest during Elsa's coronation and were dragged off a lot from your work
Even Elsa mistook you for a guest
^She caught you alone and it was so awkward
^ You both looked at each other and you were holding some food on platters
^ "Hungry yeah?"
^ You were confused at first, until you realized she didn't know you were a worker and thought you were a guest eating all the food. "Oh no, I'm not-"
^ "I'm not going to judge you, I don't care."
^ You tried correcting her, but she just kept misunderstanding and then she started revealing stuff to you. You felt bad, because it seemed like she was in a vulnerable place
^ "This whole thing is dumb. None of these people cared when my parents died, yet here they are now. I guess it's easier to be there for the good times than the bad." She remarked, not looking at you
^ You were taken aback, though you didn't necessarily disagree.
^ She looked at you, before apologizing, saying that was rude of her. You shook your head, telling her it was okay, you didn't mind.
^ "I like you. You're nice." She laughed, blushing
^ "You have a nice laugh. I like it."
^ She blushes, before thanking you
When it was revealed she had ice powers you were just as surprised as everyone else, but in hind sight it made sense why she was so on edge
You were forced to go with Anna by Hans, because he saw you chatting up with Elsa [You were a risk to his misson]
You tried convincing Anna that maybe Elsa needed time alone
^But she wasn't listening to you
When you did make it to Elsa, she was very angry
She was yelling and telling you to leave and take her sister with you
^ "She can be the queen, I don't care"
^ "This isn't about her being queen. She loves you Elsa and she wants you safe-"
^ "You need to leave. I don't want to hurt you-"
^ "Then don't!" You yell, but Elsa was furious and she accidentally hit you
She didn't mean to, but it was bad
Thankfully, Anna had found a guy, Kristoff, and he brought you to the trolls
^ But they couldn't help you
Anna felt bad and confronted her sister about it or at least she tried. Elsa knew she had gotten you and she didn't need her sister making her feel worse
You just wanted to go back to Arendelle, especially if you were going to die
Elsa tried to talk to the trolls and they told her that Anna and Kristoff took you back to Arendelle
Though, before she could get back, she was captured and imprisoned
Anna tried helping you, but Hans turned on you both and locked you in a room
"He's going to kill your sister." You told her and while Anna tries to stop you, you go looking for her sister
Anna calls your name and ends up finding Kristoff to tell him what happened
You find Hans holding a sword, about to swing at Elsa, calling her a murder
But you freeze just in time and you defend her, breaking Hans sword
Luckily though, Elsa does end up bringing you back, though without even realizing she was in love
She hugs you tightly, profusely apologizing for everything, before realizing how to get Arendell out of winter
Hans was exiled, instead of imprisoned, because Elsa didn't want him anywhere in Arendelle
You become part of the royalty, because Elsa makes sure to include you in everything
After you saved her life, she saw you in a whole new light
Granted, she already kind of liked you, but now she was scared to lose you again
She gets so nervous around you and her sister notices and confronts her, but Elsa alimentally denies it
But Anna just needs one slip up and she eventually gets it
Elsa was watching you all lovingly and didn't realize her sister was behind her
"Staring at Y/n?"
Elsa was embarrassed that she had gotten caught and instead of fighting it, she decided to ask her sister for help
Cue Anna playing Match maker
You and Elsa have become very close, so it won't be hard to get you two together
And when you both do together, Anna is so happy because she's never seen her sister so happy and extroverted before

When Mal decided to open the barrier forever, it was cerainly an adjusment for everyone.
The Vks that came over to auradon were enrolled into auradon prep and all assigned an auradon student to help them settle in and answer any questions they might have.
You weren't the biggest fan of that arrangementt. Not because you didnt like or trust the vks, you were actually quite close with all of the cour four. You just werent a big people person. So having to share your dorm with someone you dont know and most likely having them at your side 24/7? Not ideal for you.
Especially when you heard who you were going to be paired with.
But Mal had basically begged you to help.
"Please. I know you dont like this but he is kind of difficult and i know that you could handle him. I dont know anyone else that could."
So you reluctantly agreed.
Mal was right. Harry Hook was certainly difficult. He was really stuck in ways and refused to change. He refused to follow any rules, he was mean and he hated school. And the worst thing? He was stupidly hot.
Now, you hated school just as much, and you did skip a few lessons here and there but you had respect for your teachers and your peers. And you knew that unfortunately school was important for your future.
Usually you couldnt care less if other people got on trouble but harry was your responsibility now, so everytime he got into trouble, you were getting dragged into it. And you hated it.
So thats how you ended up in fairy godmothers office for the 7th time that week (it was thursday) sitting next to Harry, who just looked bored while you were about to beat him up.
This has been happeneing for almost 3 months at this point.
"This can not keep going on. Harry If you cannot follow the rules and integrate yourself into Auradon then we might be forced to take stronger action."
Back in your dorm Harry threw himself onto his bed.
"Well that a tad overdramatic aye?"
You couldnt hold it in anymore.
"HARRY! THIS IS NOT A GAME! YOU KEEP GETTING IN TROUBLE SIMPLY FOR THE SAKE OF IT AND YOU HURT OTHERS. ARE YOU AWARE OF THE FACT THAT YOU ARE BASICALLY A FEW OFFENSES AWAY FROM EXPULSION?! AND IF THAT HAPPENS YOU BASICALLY HAVE NO CHANCE ANYMORE TO DO ANYTHING! NOT ONLY THAT BUT YOU RUIN MY REPUTATION WITH YOUR BEHAVIOUR AS WELL. JUST THINK ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE THAN YOURSELF FOR ONCE IN YOUR GODDAMN LIFE!"
Without looking at him you stormed out of the room and slammed the door behind you.
The rest of your day was spend ranting to Mal and Evie about Harry.  Mal hat texted Uma during your rant, telling her to speak with Harry. He would probably listen to her. She was his best friend after all.
You dreaded going to bed that night. Just being in the same room with him.
Uma left your Room just before you arrived, so when you entered Harry was sitting on his bed, a conflicted expression on his face.
You decided to ignore him, just grabbing a pair of sweatpants and heading to the bathroom to change for bed.
When you exited the beathroom agin harry had also changed into sweatpants. GREY sweatpants.
Fuck. Was he trying to kill you?
His head perked up at the sound of the bathroom door.
"Hey..."
You looked over at him.
"What Hook?"
He looked a little conflicted still, which confused you. Why the sudden change in mood?
"Look... I'm nae good at this but- fuck..." He sighed exxasperated. "I wanted to apologize."
You head snapped to him again In surprise.
"What?"
"I acted like a total dickhead." He started ranting, trying to get it all outbefore he mentally talked himself out of it. " I didnt care how I might hurt ya. And I don't even have a good reason for that. I was just scared. I was scared of being vulnerable. All I have ever known was the Isle. I am used to hiding myself behind a Tough outside and I was scared to change from that."
Harry quickly wiped his eyes of the tears swimming in them, hoping you wouldnt notice. But you did.
You were shocked by his sudden and surprisingly honest outburst. For a few very long seconds you just stared at each other.
"Harry...." You took a slow step towards him. "I'm sorry. I should've realized how hard this would be. And I know it will be difficult, but i promise you that from now on you wont have to hide anymore. You're safe here."
Now, standing right before harry, you layed your hand on his shoulder. Harrys eyes met yours, once again swimming with tears but a small smile gacing his lips.
"Thank ye."
You reached up to wipe the tear that had fallen from his eye, your hand resting on harrys cheek, his head leaning into your touch.
You noticed how close you two had gotten. Your eyes flickering from harrys eyes to his lips for a split second.
"Harry?" Your noses brushed against each other ever so slightly.
"Yea?" His voice was barely a whisper.
"I really hope I'm not reading this wrong," You voice matched his. "but can I kiss you?"
Harry was silent, and for a few excruciating second you truly thought you were wrong. Harry was into guys, you knew that much. He didnt hide that part about himself. But did he like you?
"Yes please."
A small sigh of relief left your mouth as you leaned in, your lips moving against his. Harrys hands moved to your hips, gripping at the exposed skin, thanks to your lack of shirt. In turn your hands wrapped around his neck, your fingers gripping onto his hair.
When you parted for air, you kept your eyes closed, your foreheads leaning against each other.
For a few seconds all you could hear was you heavy breathing and your own heartbeat, loud in your ears, before Harry leaned in and kissed you again. His hands pulling you flush against his bare chest by your hips.
Once again you pulled back, this time a little more, looking into each others eyes.
"Thank ye, darlin"
"Always."

Important follow up to this poll:
Out of respect for Aladdin's landslide win in the first poll and subsequent crowning as the King of the Blunt Rotation, he has been removed from the bracket and replaced with Kristoff who frankly I think fits into this bracket much better.
Once again, apologies to the other Disney princes who have been snubbed. I only get ten slots per poll and honestly I don't think Hercules would have been invited. Robin Hood and Quasimodo probably would have been but they're too busy cooking meth Breaking Bad style to partake of the devil's lettuce, and Milo Thatcher is currently taking as much Adderall as he can buy on a linguist with a focus on lost languages' salary.
We here at Prince Blunt Rotation Inc. wish them and our contestants the best of luck and the highest of highs. May the worst nightmare blunt rotation invitee win.

“When will we get to Living Rock Township?” Kristoff’s passenger Anna was only talking to him because he was there and she was bored, which was almost worse than ignoring him.
He wasn’t in the habit of conversing with strangers, especially pretty, high-born women who were cheerful even when there wasn’t a reason to be. He didn’t see the point.
“When we get there.”
He wasn’t trying to be funny, but Anna laughed anyway. Rather than ignore the daggers he shot at her, she laughed even more.
“I’m sorry!” she said as she caught her breath. “It’s just that, well, are you always this talkative?”
He answered her with a smirk. This was why he bought a wagon and not a carriage: he’d have rather delivered parcels and mail than people any day.
But Mrs. Stone, the pastor’s daughter and one of the only nice people in Living Rock Township, had specifically requested he be nice when he collected Anna at the harbor, so he attempted conversation, though it didn’t help much.
“What are you even doing here?”
“I beg your pardon?” Her wrinkled forehead didn’t dampen her bright eyes. “That attitude is completely unnecessary.”
Kristoff whistled and his horse Sven stopped. Then he turned on the bench to face her. “You had to have a good reason to leave your family and probably very comfortable life in Arendelle to risk crossing the ocean. Especially alone-”
Then he remembered there was supposed to be a man with her.
Anna scooted away from him on the bench and folded her arms. “That’s none of your concern.”
Kristoff rolled his eyes when she lifted her nose in the air like she wanted an apology.
Instead, he said, “Fine,” and told Sven to walk on. So much for his attempt at friendship.
Then it crossed his mind that perhaps she had lost her companion on the voyage so he swallowed his pride. “It’s just unusual, that’s all.”
She let out a deep breath instead of crying and Kristoff relaxed. “My fiance was supposed to come with me.”
“I guess things didn’t work out with Prince Charming, there?”
Anna shook her head and added, “Well, see, I met him at a ball.”
Kristoff rolled his eyes. He already knew where this story was headed.
“It was amazing and magical. He was dreamy and divine. And he asked me to marry him that night! Of course, I thought it was true love so I-”
“You agreed to marry a man you just met? That day?”
Anna stopped talking and glared at him.
“I mean, sure. Yeah, that sort of thing happens all the time,” he said sarcastically.
“Anywho, my sister lives at North Mountain and I haven’t seen her in years—she got accused of witchcraft and had to leave in a hurry, long story-”
She said it so casually that it almost didn’t register. “Wait, what!?”
“How far is North Mountain from Living Rock? Do you know how to get there?”
“You might not want to talk about that kind of stuff too loudly here. Personally, I think it’s a bunch of hogwash, but other people seem to take it pretty seriously.”
It almost seemed like she was mocking him when she said, “Anyway, we were going to join her at North Mountain. My parents actually passed away a few years ago-"
"You lost your parents?"
Anna paused and smiled at him. "They were trying to find Elsa, but their ship never made it. That was about three years ago or so."
"I'm sorry to hear that."
She smiled again. "Well, obviously I wanted my sister's blessing since I couldn't get my parents. So I made all the arrangements and wrote to her. But I don’t know if she even got the letter-”
“So she doesn’t even know you’re coming?”
“Well, no…” Anna twisted her mittened hands in front of her and she looked off to the side. “Maybe. But I also wrote to Mrs. Stone gave. She gave me an open invitation when she and her husband left Arendelle. So I thought at least we’d be on the right continent.”
Then her voice dropped. “At least, I’m on the right continent.”
Kristoff pursed his lips. He hated to ask, but he was invested in the story. “So where’s your handsome prince now?”
She folded her arms again and spoke softly. “I guess he didn’t love me enough.”
Unfortunately, that tugged on Kristoff’s heartstrings and he couldn’t tell her what he really thought.
“I don’t believe it was love at first sight, in case that’s what you were thinking.”
Kristoff didn’t mean to snort.
She narrowed her eyes. “It was blind attraction, which can be even more problematic.”
“Not exactly the best way to start a life together.”
Not expecting silence, Kristoff turned his head. She was biting her lip, but he knew it wasn’t supposed to be suggestive. Or endearing.
Then she peered up at him, eyes blue-green like the sea, but constant, unwavering. “I still believe in love at first sight, but I’ve learned my lesson.”
He desperately wanted to look away from her but he couldn’t.
“Next time I’ll take a closer look.”
Kristoff’s heartbeat quickened until she wrinkled her nose and giggled, finally looking away.
“I’ll know him when I see him! And when I find him I’m going to hold on tight and never let go. True love is worth it.”
Kristoff turned his head again. The huge smile plastered on her face locked him in the moment, even though stared far into the distance.
But then he shook his head and remembered the last time a woman looked at him as closely as Anna had. That had been some time ago, and she hadn’t offered him a passing glance since then. There was no reason to believe Anna was any different.

Descendant's Character List Part One: AK's
I have been asked to make a list of characters who appear in my fics, both book canon and ocs, so... I apologize for how long this is going to be. (The only characters excluded on this list are those who appear in the movies).
This is everyone born before the first Descendants movie. I may add on to this list as time goes on and more characters are created. All ages are the ages at the time of D1. I headcanon that the first movie takes place in March-April of 2015, or A.C. 20
Alice:
"Ally" Allison (Canon) - First seen in Wicked World. I made "Ally" be a nickname. Longs to be a detective, and works at her mother's tea shop. 15
Aladdin & Jasmine:
Prince Aziz (Canon) - First mentioned in The Isle of the Lost. 17
Prince Amir (Canon?) - His name is said during the Tourney Game in the first movie, spelled Amir according to subtitles. His jersey says Emir, but I went with the "A" spelling and made him Aladdin and Jasmine's son. 15
Princess Jamila (OC) - The baby of the family. 12
Anastasia and Dimitri:
Princess Alina (OC) - 18
Prince Damien (OC) - 14
Princess Dasha (OC) - 13

Prince Asmund (OC) - 13
Princess Kari (OC) - Best friends with Eira. 9
Princess Klara (OC) - The youngest of the family, and friends with Clementine Charming. 7
Ariel & Eric:
Princess Melody (Canon) - First appeared in The Little Mermaid 2. She's quite a bit older than her little sisters, and is married with kids of her own (all ocs who won't really appear much). The only reason she hasn't taken over her parents kingdom was at King Beast's request to wait until Ben became High King. 32
Princess Abi (OC) - She is older than Ebba by only 6 minutes, but unlike her sister she doesn't have as strong of a call to the sea. With that said, she is still a mermaid. 16
Princess Ebba (OC) - Ebba loves the sea and everything to do with it. 16
Princess Elle (Canon-ish) I believe she was confirmed by Kenny Ortega. She was born without the use of her legs, but thanks to her grandfather, is able to transform into a mermaid. 14
Aurora and Phillip:
Prince Pierre (OC) - Audrey's older brother and heir to Aurora and Phillip's kingdom. He is dating Ruby Fitzherbert. 20
"Cinderella" Ella and Kit:
Princess Karine (OC) - Chad's younger sister. She's best friends with Reiner. 14
Prince Emil (OC) - He has not yet started at Auradon Prep. 11

Elsa:
Erica (OC) - Inherited her mother's powers, but grew up in the Arendalle castle with her cousins at King Beast's "request". 19

Babysitters- A Kristanna Oneshot
Universe: Modern AU Rating: T (Minor curse, shameless attraction) Length: 3558 Words Summary: Kristoff and Anna both wind up as babysitters on the whims of two young girls. They find out that despite being near strangers, they have an incredible amount in common. A/N: Yes this is a meet cute based on the double babysitter episode of Bluey. Yes the plot and a good chunk of the dialog are wholesale stolen from the cartoon dog show for toddlers. Those writers are geniuses and I will not apologize.
Anna was still trying to figure out how exactly she’d gotten herself into such a uniquely odd, yet pleasant situation.
“You can ask us anything you’d like, and that way you can get to know us better,” she suggested to the two little girls before her, happy to be able to give them a way to feel a little more comfortable in their new situation. Afterall, it’s not everyday you wind up with not just one new babysitter, but two, and to have to be put to bed by the pair of them.
“It’s easy,” Kristoff agreed.
Kristoff was the aforementioned second babysitter and the uncle of the little girls before them. She couldn’t help but think that he was a bit attractive, but she tried not to dwell on it given she was there to give her attention to the girls. She was there to watch them as a good friend of their mother. In fact she was the older girl’s godmother, or “fairy godmother” as she liked to put it. She had frequently spent time with the girls, but this was her first time watching them without their mom hanging out.
“Why don’t you have a wife?”
Ooof.
She was not expecting a six year old to come out with such a hardball question out of the gate, and she was glad that she was not in the crosshairs. She hoped that maybe their questions would lighten up.
“How do you know that I don’t?”
Oh geeze, I was just thinking about how cute another woman’s husband is.
“Do you have a wife?”
She saw the man start to flush and she knew the answer before he spoke it, a comfort to her moral compass, she supposed.
“Well… no.”
“Oh, okay, then why don’t you have a wife.”
He pointed to Anna and said, “Oh no, can’t answer more than a couple in a row, it’s her turn.”
Only marginally less attractive when he’s shoving me under the bus.
The younger girl nodded, as if her uncle’s insistence on sharing was admirable.
“How many friends have you got?”
Anna blinked for a moment, not sure how to respond, and then counted the friends she could think to name on her fingers.
Their mom, Elsa, Elsa’s girlfriend…
She struggled to come up with anyone else, decided that she could not, shrugged and said, “Three.”
“That’s not many.”
“Why do you only have three friends?”
Children are brutal.
“Well, uh…back to him.”
Two could play at that game.
“Why do we only see you at Christmas?”
The girls looked both genuine in their curiosity, and a bit sad. Clearly they want to see their Uncle Kristoff more often… I would like to see their Uncle Kristoff more often.
“Because I was working up in Alaska. I might be getting a new job now though.”
He seemed a little more relaxed by this line of questioning, and while they were not touching, Anna swore she could feel the man sitting at her side relaxing.
“Is that why you don’t have a wife?”
He looked surprised when Anna snuck a peek at him out of the corner of her eye.
So much for any hope at easy questions.
“Huh,” he paused for a moment, “Probably actually.”
“Why does your hair look so pretty?”
“Almondmilk shampoo.”
She was surprised to hear him saying the same thing at the same time. She assumed the girls had been asking her, and he, clearly, had assumed the same.
She saw his surprised look and she was certain that he would see it mirrored in her expression.
“Do you want any kids?”
“Yes,” she answered, hearing him echo the statement, and not being wholly sure why she’d looked at him while she answered.
“Will Hans be the daddy?”
Ouch. Back to hardball.
“Oh, no… Hans and I aren’t friends anymore.”
She was over it, over him, but it still hurt when she had thought that he would have been her future. Explaining the terrible things he’d done to her in a way that children could understand was something she did not have in her tonight, and frankly they didn’t deserve to have their worldview turned so grim just yet.
She thought of her sister and herself at the girls’ ages and took a deep breath.
What I wouldn’t give to be so young and happy and naive again.
“Who’s Hans?” Kristoff asked at her side, and she couldn’t help but note the genuine curiosity in his voice. She wondered if he had seen the split second of discomfort she’d let show on her face.
“No one. Next question!”
She didn’t have it in her to explain to him either. She didn’t owe him the explanation, even if she thought that maybe he’d be nice to talk to.
“Hans in her true love!”
She shook her head, trying to retain her composure and keep her tone light. “Not anymore!”
The little girls looked crestfallen. They’d only met the man once, and while she wished she didn’t have to, she wanted to let them keep their good memory of him from the day they’d spent in the park together.
“But true love is forever!”
Gosh I wish.
“Well, uh…”
“Is true love not forever?”
The littler girl asked the question with tears in her eyes and Anna thought that if she started to cry, she might too.
“It is! Or… at least I thought it was.”
“Okay,” Kristoff interjected, clearly seeing that Anna was not about to dig herself out of this hole, “Let’s play in the backyard!”
***
Kristoff had forgotten exactly how brutal children could be in their lines of interrogation. His nieces had certainly taken after their father in that regard. The older boy had asked about a million hard and invasive questions of him when his parents had adopted him. It had all turned out well in the end because he loved his brother, he loved his family, and he loved the girls, but he had the sense that Anna hadn’t quite realized what she’d signed up for by offering to let the girls play twenty questions.
When he’d noticed just how sad she looked about the girls asking about Hans, whoever the asshole was, he had been only all too happy to encourage some outdoor activity. He hoped that she would take all the time she needed to collect herself while he had the girls outside, but he could already tell that she was better at taking care of others than she was at taking care of herself. It was obvious from the way she let herself get hurt by the girls questions, just to let them ask them as promised.
She was far too beautiful to look so sad, and if he ever thought that she might like to hear such a thing from him, he’d happily share it. After the kids were to bed of course.
“Can you play the same games as mom and dad?”
“Sure,” he answered, recalling at least some of the games that he had played with his brother as a child, assuming that they couldn’t be all that different. “What do they play?”
“Chicken rat!”
“Wha-?”
This is what happens when you assume.
“Come here and go away!”
He shook his head, wondering if his nieces were speaking another language suddenly. He knew what the words normally meant, but he could not imagine what they might mean in the form of a children’s game.
“You don’t need the same games.”
Anna’s voice came from behind him, her flip flops making soft sounds on the wooden porch stairs as she approached him and tugged his keys from his back pocket.
What is she doing?
He was too stunned to ask, he just jumped at the contact and watched as she masterfully taught both girls a new game using the emergency flashlight on his keyring.
He would have applauded Anna’s genius, if he weren’t too tired chasing the light around the yard like a cat with her.
At one point in the game she’d pounced upon him, following the girl’s light, and it had taken all of his strength to not wrap his arms around her and hold her to him.
 ***
Anna smiled as Kristoff held his niece’s feet up to the ceiling and let her walk across it like they were living in an MC Escher drawing. They were supposed to be finishing getting the girls washed up for bedtime, but clearly Kristoff was a fun uncle for whom timelines were less important than fun. She’d always thought of what it would be like to be a mom like that one day. She always imagined being the sort of mom that let her kids explore anything that they wanted, to help them grow into the people they wanted to be instead of what society expected of them.
I could be that with Kristoff.
She shook the thought from her mind and, to the best of her ability, helped the younger girl onto the ceiling.
“Ooof, you’re heavier than I remember.”
The little girl giggled and played with her sister on the ceiling for a moment, until her weight became too much for Anna to bear holding and she collapsed to the floor, landing the little girl on her lap.
“How about a story girls,” Anna offered, “Run along to bed and we’ll be in in just a minute.”
After I catch my breath.
Kristoff, for his part, much more gracefully lowered his older niece to the floor and offered her a hand up, not immediately releasing it when she was standing, which made her heart do a little flip in her chest.
“Thank you,” she said, and he just smiled in response.
She could hardly move her eyes away from his chocolate brown ones until he offered her hand a little knowing squeeze and walked with her to the girls room for a story.
***
Kristoff nearly laughed himself as he dramatically “slayed” the girls stuffed dragon and climbed to the top bunk of their bed where Anna, the “princess” was clearly awaiting his valourous return from battle.
“Princess, I have rescued you, and now we shall marry.”
She made a face, and he wondered for a moment if he had overstepped, even in their game of pretend. It was of course, all show for the girls, but he thought back to all the earlier uncomfortable talk of true love and hoped that he hadn’t upset Anna, particularly because he was really beginning to like her.
It was impossible not to of course. She was funny, smart, and gorgeous. If he never saw her again her fiery red hair and beautiful smile would haunt him until the day he died. To make matters worse, it was clear to him that she loved his nieces, and probably kids in general. He’d never really dated much or had given much thought to who his perfect person would be, but now she was sitting in front of him, wearing a princess crown, and turning her head away.
“And then the princess said, ‘no thanks!’”
Her smirk and wink did things to him that he would not be allowing himself to think about until he was at least a week out from babysitting. It was that indecent.
“What?”
His response was honest as the girls giggled to themselves from below.
“She just didn’t like the look of him.”
The girls exploded into greater laughter, and it was all he could do to not laugh himself. He mocked taking it personally, but couldn’t help but wonder if maybe a small part of her was being serious.
“Why not?”
“Well his hair was messy and he was a bit too muscly. You know what I mean kids?”
The girls, on queue, laughed with glee, happy to be included.
“Well wait a minute,” he replied, noticing the way that her eyes hung a bit appreciatively on the arm he was hanging onto the bunk bed ladder by.
Too muscly my ass.
“I defeat the dragon, take it back to my castle, and we get married. I’ve read the stories. That’s just business.”
“Well,” Anna replied with a dramatic wave of her hand, “I didn’t ask to be rescued.”
“So you just want to stay here? With the stinky dragon?”
He could imagine all the fun they could get into together. She was funny, she was trouble, and while he normally avoided trouble, he could imagine just how good trouble could be with her.
“I’m getting used to him.”
Kristoff grinned, letting go of the ladder and walking back down to the stuffed dragon. He raised his eyebrow to Anna in challenge, “Well then, I’ll just wake him up for you and-”
He didn’t even reach his hand all that close to the stuffed creature before Anna responded to his challenge. “No, wait!”
“I thought so.”
The girls were in hysterics now, clearly enjoying their bit of pantomime, and Kristoff had to give it to Anna, she was certainly making things more interesting.
She did look almost sad for a moment when she glanced down at the “slain” stuffy.
“She knew it, princes are all the same.”
Kristoff wondered, for a moment, if all the “princes” she knew had taken away her choices. He wanted to ask, but now was not the time.
“No we’re not,” he replied, “There are good princes and bad princes.”
“Which one was he?”
One of the girls asked the question, the other waiting with bated breath, the apparent drama of it all being enough to stop the giggles from allowing them to speak for the time being.
“He’s a good one, he rescued the princess.”
“Only because he likes slaying dragons,” Anna replied, “Tomorrow he’ll be off in search of another princess.”
The girls looked to him again, in rapt attention to hear his response, but all he had was, “This is a tough princess to rescue, he’ll probably be at it a long time and then he’ll be happy to never rescue one again.”
He kept his tone light, the girls giggled again, but Anna got the message and her small smile was more than he could have ever dreamed of seeing leveled at him.
“Well while the prince figures it out, the Princess is going to read a good book and live happily ever after. The end!”
The girls disapproval was immediate, and Kristoff was taken as off guard as Anna clearly was. She was looking down at the girls in surprise as they called up to her.
“That can’t be the end. In mom and dad’s stories, they always get married in the end.”
Kristoff, looking to Anna again, shrugged.
“Princess?”
Anna’s lip quirked into a smirk for a moment before she put back on her “too cool for this” princess expression and announced, “Okay fine.”
She jumped from the top bunk of the bed, gave the girls a fleeting “don’t jump on or off of your beds” look and continued her story.
“For the sake of the children, they both get married,” she crossed the space between them and linked her arm through his, smiling as she added with finality, “the end.”
The girls cheered and were, somewhat easily, guided to bed after the story’s conclusion.
***
Anna tucked in her goddaughter and smoothed the hair from the little girl’s eyes with the side of her hand.
“Goodnight sweetie,” she said, and was about to walk away and turn off the lights when the little girl caught her attention again.
She looked a little bit stressed, which worried Anna. The last thing she wanted was for either of the girls to be uncomfortable or upset.
“Anna, can you not watch tv after you put us to bed?”
Anna was confused for a moment.
“Sure sweetie, I won’t if you don’t want me to.”
“Wait a minute,” Kristoff said, crossing the room where his youngest niece was already out snoring.
“Was your last babysitter Grandma?”
“Yeah,” the little girl admitted, “She had the TV on really loud and I had a hard time sleeping and she was watching something scary.”
“Oh, sorry bug,” Kristoff said, squeezing the little girl’s hand where it laid on top of the comforter.
Anna couldn’t help but smile at the way Kristoff was comforting the little girl.
“Mom doesn’t hear as well as she used to these days,” he said, letting Anna in on what he clearly knew but was news to her, “She has the tv and radio on too loud if she doesn’t have her hearing aids in.”
He turned back to the little girl.
“Don’t worry, this won’t be anything like that, it was just the one time.”
The little girl still looked upset and Anna covered Kristoff’s hand with her own for extra support.
“How can I know that it won’t ever be like that again?”
Anna took this one, knowing full well from her own childhood that living in fear of things going wrong was a surefire way for a childhood to be spent alone and sad.
“You don’t, but you have to give it a try. Otherwise you end up in a tower with a stinky dragon forever.”
She thought that Kristoff was smiling, even though she couldn’t see his face.
“Okay,” she said, snuggling into her blankets seeming a bit apprehensive, but willing to make an attempt, “I’ll try.”
“That’s my girl.”
***
When the girls were asleep, Kristoff invited Anna out onto the balcony outside their room. He figured that it would be far enough away that if they whispered, they wouldn’t wake them, but it was also close enough where if the girls woke up and needed them, they would be right there.
They were sitting on the ground together, and Kristoff wished that he could take the risk to wake the girls to at least get her a chair. It would be the good princely thing to do after all, but Anna seemed perfectly content to sit next to him.
“I don’t care for the conditioner,” she said, and Kristoff thought that despite the fact that he would describe himself as being not all that much of a people person, he would happily talk with Anna about her ever opinion or thought, even as mundane as haircare, for the rest of his life.
“I agree, it’s not nearly as good as the shampoo. They also put out that body wash for a bit and it was awful.”
Anna nodded sagely as if he’d just offered her an extremely important opinion about an earth shattering concept for which she was fully in agreement. He’d decided from the start that he liked the way her face showed her thoughts honestly. He’d never been amazing at communicating with others, but she wore her feelings on her sleeve and he could appreciate the way it made her easy to talk with.
“I know, it was horrible. I tried using it after the gym once and I just smelled like sweat and cherries. I hate wasting things because some people would be so happy to have something that I don’t need, but gosh I just threw the whole bottle out because no one should use a body wash that bad.”
Kristoff almost laughed, but managed for the sake of the sleeping girls in the next room over, to turn it into a low chuff.
“They shouldn’t have been able to call it a body wash at all. Maybe a body smell or something?”
“In shower terrible perfume?” she asked, clearly of the same opinion and happy to run with the joke, “Really they needed to stay in their lane and just focus on improving their conditioner.”
He smiled at her, and did his best not to let his hand catch hers when she stretched her back and her hand slid toward him, brushing against him for a moment.
“Have you found a good one yet?”
“What bodywash? Yeah, but I don’t think you’d want to use it, it’s sugar cookie scented.”
He responded before thinking, “No, I figured, you smell like warm vanilla, it’s nice.”
He flushed and hoped that the dark of the night was stronger than the girls nightlights so she couldn’t see him blushing.
“I, uh, meant conditioner.”
She smiled, and he knew that she could see him blushing.
“No, not yet. Maybe we could find something together?”
He turned his head to look at her and thought, in the darkness of the space, that he saw her blushing too.
“Like… do you mean like a date?”
She shrugged, and he realized the her hair and her face, in the darkness, were approaching the same shade. She was certainly blushing.
“I guess, yeah?”
He did laugh then, and was grateful in the silence that followed that neither of the girls had appeared to have awoken from his over loud expression of amusement.
“Well, sure. But maybe I can take you out to coffee first? Maybe in the morning after my brother gets home? I think it might make for a better first date than grocery shopping.”
Anna grinned at him and he couldn’t help but return the look, grateful for his brother and sister in law’s accidentally requesting two babysitters at once.
“It’s a date.”
When he let his hand catch hers, she gladly held it.

Hi everybody!
It's a new month, so it's time to celebrate how awesome squirrels are and also to do a site update and to thank our wonderful Patreon subscribers (and adjacent squirrels)!
For a site update, the big news is me and our website designer (Socketwench) are going to revamp the main website (eschergirls.com) and change the overall look, probably so the web version has a grid of post previews rather than just listing the posts in a row because the current setup leaves a lot of empty space since it only previews one line of text.  Mobile users shouldn't see much change except we'll be removing or changing the scrolling menu bar so it doesn't block most of the post on small screens.  We'll also be adding a popular tag cloud so people can more easily browse the blog if they want to casually.
If anybody has any other suggestions to improve the main site's usability and readability, please let me know!!!  I'm very interested in feedback.  I'm also working on the glossary and index, so people should be able to search the tags by category of character, series, genre, etc... and the glossary should explain what some of the terms like "boobsocks" (clothing that encases each breast separately like socks), "boob flounder" (both breasts on one side of the body), etc... mean.
Also, as usual, I've been working through the archives and fixing up all the old posts to match the current way I'm formatting my posts and to fix posts that were broken during the Tumblr export.  I also add alt-text to every post I restore so people who use screenreaders can access them.  This month, I fixed this post involving Marvel's Magik on an old trading card, the two posts with Boundless Comics' Ember (1, 2), and these old PLAY Magazine "Girls of Gaming" pages (1, 2, 3). I also fixed up this submission about how video game magazines used to advertise contests where you could go on a date with Lara Croft and stuff, and I edited the post to include an update with a link to an interview with one of the models who portrayed Lara for those ads, for those interested!
I'm still working my way through the Tumblr inbox backlog, so if you submitted a post a long time ago, you might see it pop up soon.  Unfortunately, the way Tumblr does its inbox means the older it is the longer it'll take me to reach it. :\  I apologize sincerely for how long it takes me to get through the inbox sometimes.
I'm also still appealing the many incorrectly flagged posts on Tumblr, and the arbitrary algorithmic flagging, sudden rule changes, and other issues, are why I'm trying to fix up the main site to try to get it as usable for everybody as possible so Tumblr isn't the only way to view the blog, or the only place where it's archived.
I know it's repetitive, but it's also why I really appreciate everybody who supports us on Patreon and Ko-Fi.  It gives me much needed help to pay for server costs, upgrades, domain hosting, and just keep the site going in general. :)  I really appreciate that people think what we do is worth supporting <3
So I want to thank everybody who supported Escher Girls on Patreon in March!
Thank you so so much to:

And a special thanks again to PJ Evans for donating on Ko-Fi last month! :)
Also a huge thank you to everybody for reading, submitting, and generally commenting and engaging with Escher Girls!  It makes running the site so worth it. :)
For those who want to follow us without using Tumblr, we have an RSS feed. (For newbies, RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and is basically a feed you can read using an RSS reader. Simply copy and paste https://eschergirls.com/rss.xml into an RSS reader and it will keep you up to date on Escher Girls!)
Thanks so much to everybody, and see you next month!

Second Chances - 2
Kristanna Modern AU Rated: Explicit WC: 4769
Chapter Index
-----------------
Kristoff walked into the crowded coffee shop and spotted her head of copper hair right away.  It was like that at the bar the other night too.  She had struck him initially with her beauty, and he certainly recognized it again now.  Only this time he was guarded.
She’d been watching for him and waved as soon as they made eye contact.  Kristoff went over and sat at the other side of the table that was against the window.
“Hi, Kristoff.  Thank you so much for meeting me.”
“No problem,” he muttered, adjusting his large frame on the uncomfortable metal chair.
“I took the liberty of getting you a coffee.  Please tell me if I didn’t guess right and I will buy you whatever you want.”
Kristoff blinked and looked down at the cardboard cup he just realized was sitting on his side of the table.  Slowly he reached forward and pried the lid off.  “It’s black?”
“Did I guess wrong?”
He looked up and was met with some of the widest and most gorgeous eyes he’d truly ever seen.  “No, actually.  This is how I take it.”
Anna visibly relaxed in her seat.  “Oh good.  I wanted to have it ready in case you just want to hear what I have to say and then bolt.”
He found himself smiling.  What the hell was it about her that was so… charming.  “Thank you.  And don’t worry, I won’t be that rude.”  He winked, trying to take some of the tension out of the situation that she was clearly feeling.  What he did not expect, was the delightfully beautiful pink hue that immediately spread out over her freckled cheeks as she smiled back at him.
“I deserve that,” she said through a bit of a nervous giggle.  “So I will start out by saying I am deeply sorry for all those awful things that I said to you.  You absolutely did not deserve that and I was way, way out of line.”
“It’s okay, Anna.”
She shook her head forcefully.  “No.  It was not okay.  I was thinking back and you did nothing at all to provoke me being so mean to you.  As I said, I have-”
“Issues?” he finished for her.
She nodded and looked down at the table, blush deepening.
“Well, you aren’t the only one,” he offered.  “And I get it.  We all have those moments when we just have too much on our plate and we maybe don’t act…”
He was fishing his mind for the right word when Anna said it for him.  “Appropriately?”
He nodded.  “Yeah.”
“So, is it safe for me to assume that you accept my apology?”
“I do.”  He smiled.  “And I really appreciate you giving it to me.  But please don’t worry about it too much.  I have thicker skin than you think.”
Her demeanor relaxed further.  “I can’t thank you enough.”  She sighed.  “I was actually a little worried that you weren’t going to show or something.”
“Hmm.  You assume a lot, don’t you?”
He’d meant it as a quip like the one he used earlier, only it got the opposite reaction that he was expecting.  She frowned and averted ger eyes.  “One of my issues,” she muttered.
“Anna, I am sorry,” he said softly.  “I was just trying to kid around.   I try and make jokes when I’m nervous.  One of my issues, I guess.”
She looked back up at him and the side of her mouth turned up in a soft smile.  “You’re nervous?”
“Um, yeah.  A little,” he said, running his hand through his hair.  “I really don’t date much and sometimes I struggle to think of the right thing to say to someone when it’s one on one.  When in doubt, I make a joke.”  He gave her a sheepish shrug which elicited a bigger smile from her.
“I do that too sometimes.  And if I’m honest I was nervous to meet up with you today again after…” her voice died off with her smile.
He reached across the table and patted her forearm that was resting on top of it.  “It’s fine.  Water under the bridge now.”
Kristoff retracted his hand, curious that Anna watched it as he slid it back to his side of the table.  Then her eyes met his, sincere and beautiful.  “Thank you.”
“So, uh,” he cleared his throat gently, “how do you take your coffee?”
She lit up.  “I love these Caramel Macchiatos.  So good!  I don’t like too much extra floof in my coffee, like all these added pumps of syrup and whatnot, but this one has caramel, which is delicious of course, and whip cream and who doesn’t love whip cream.  And if I have a plain coffee of course I put cream and sugar in it, I don’t think I could drink it black.  Too bitter for me.  I barely like coffee enough for the taste, you know?  Which is silly because coffee beans smell sooooo good!”
The more she talked the more his smile widened, and their conversation carried on to other things, which was exactly what he’d been hoping for when he met her at that bar the other night.  Someone who was real and honest and easy to talk to.  And it did not hurt that she was absolutely stunning.
They ended up just talking about anything and everything for the better part of an hour and Kristoff found himself thinking he was going to do something that he had no intention of doing when he headed to the coffee shop that morning to meet her.
He waited for a natural lull and went for it.  “So, Anna, I have to ask if maybe you would like to give a first date a second go?”
She blinked at him.  “Despite what I said, you would give me a second chance?”
It was his turn to blush.  “Well, I’ve had a good time talking with you.  If you are interested, I’d like to take you to a proper dinner?”
Anna was still for a moment and then slowly nodded.  “I would like that.  But only if you allow me to pay for the meal.”
Kristoff smirked.  He really liked her.  “No way.  I have a rule I always pay on dates.”
She shook her head at him, a real smile spreading over her face for the first time.  “Why do I feel like you are going to be trouble…”
His eyes narrowed playfully.  “Funny, I was thinking the same thing.”
~   ~   ~   ~   ~
Anna was nervous.  Holy Hell was she ever nervous.  She paced her apartment shaking out her hands, trying to calm her rampant anxiety.
She did have a wonderful time talking to Kristoff.  In fact, he as the first person she actually felt herself opening up to since her ex had left her.  Aside from her disastrous first impression, he was the first man that she didn’t have immediate reservations about, and yet he was also the first man since her ex that she worried about actually disappointing for real should they begin to start dating.
Grinding her teeth, she cursed her asshole ex for the millionth time.  She’d flip flop with having courage – lacking it way more than having it – and every once in a while, she’d look at herself in the mirror and tell herself that she was pretty, smart, and that her dirtbag ex had no idea what he was talking about.  Then memories would flood her mind of him being lackluster in the bedroom and she’d remember that there was a reason for saying the things he had said.
Her buzzer scared the living hell out of her and she rushed over to the intercom to let him in.  It wasn’t long while she took deep breath after deep breath until he was knocking at her door.
Anna opened it with what she hoped was a natural smile and was met with a bouquet of flowers.   “Oh, Kristoff.  Hi.”
He smiled.  “Hi.  Got these for you.”  He offered her the flowers.
Anna took them, even though she didn’t feel like she deserved them.  “They are beautiful.  Thank you.  Come on in.”
His cheeks went pink and he stepped into her apartment as she went into the small kitchen directly across the front entrance to fill a vase.  She thought she had one under the sink but it wasn’t there.  Puzzled, she looked up and spotted one on top of the fridge pushed to the back.  Rushing over, she was about to pull a kitchen chair to assist her when he loomed over her.
“I can grab it,” he offered, and reached up to pluck the glass off the top of the fridge.
Anna looked up as he moved, impressed all over again with the size of the man.  She had never been out with anyone of his stature.  He was so broad and thick in the neck it was not a hard stretch of the imagination to think about what the rest of him might look like, and heat spread through Anna’s core in a way that was very foreign to her.
“Here you go,” he said, handing her the vase.
“Thanks!” she squeaked, and went to the sink to fill it with water, ignoring the way her body was suddenly tingling to be so close to someone so imposing.  And hot.
Anna resisted the urge to run her head under the cold water and set the flowers in the vase.  Kristoff was waiting patiently and she rushed to get her shoes on so that they could leave even though he wasn’t giving her any inclination that he wanted her to hurry.
His truck was very clean, like him.  He was in a similar outfit as the first time she’d met him.  A button up shirt with some dark jeans and black Adidas.  Anna was glad that she’d opted for a similar look.  She was always comfortable in jeans and a sweater, although she’d chosen a pair of ankle boots to be just a little bit taller.
They chatted as they drove.  Anna learned that he was in construction and she told him that she worked reception at a local publishing company, which led to asking each other questions about what their jobs were like and before she knew it, they were at the restaurant.
It was an Italian place, dimly lit and romantic.  She had to wonder this sudden change of first date location from that of a crowded Pub.  Maybe that was his way of meeting on neutral ground before?  Anna was thrilled that he had given her another chance and maybe he was showing her more of him since they’d had their talk at the coffee shop.
They were sat at a table for two tucked away in the corner so that they could talk without too much noise.  The place was packed, and it was ideal for them to be able to hold a conversation.  Which they did remarkably easily.  He was such an easy guy to talk to, Anna found herself thinking of things that she knew she should not.  Like what a body like his would feel like pressed against her own.  She may be bad at it, but she was still a flesh and blood woman who wanted things.  Needed things.  It wasn’t until this handsome and massive man appeared in her life that she realized just how much she needed them.  How much she had been missing them.
They got to know each other a great deal, and when Anna found herself in his truck being taken home after he had insisted on paying like he said he was going to, she had to wonder how she was going to end the evening.  Did she want to kiss him?  Hell yes.  Was she nervous?  Extremely.  Did she think she was unworthy of a man like him… Yes.  No.  Maybe?
He parked on the curb and whisked himself out of his seat to get her door.  He’d done the same thing at the restaurant, actually telling her to wait as he got out.  It was old fashioned and cute as hell.  Was there a chance that maybe Kristoff would be acceptable of her naivety in the bedroom?  Would he be someone who could teach her the ways of lovemaking?
Anna felt herself hoping and praying that this was not going to end in a disaster as she rode up the elevator and walked down the hall with him to her apartment.
He paused, stepping back to give Anna room when they reached her door.  “I had a really nice time, Anna.  Thank you.”
Her cheeks lit up.  “Thank me?  No I think I need to thank you for giving me a second chance.  I had a really nice time too.  Great time.”
He smirked.  “Mine was actually great too.”
Anna blinked at him, heart hammering away in her chest.  She had no idea what to do next.  She wanted to kiss him, badly.  Would the fact that she was bad at it turn him off?  His eyes regarded her while she stared at him stupidly.
“Would you like to go out again sometime?” he asked softly.
She nodded quickly.  “Yes, I would.”  Would you though?  Even though you know you are going to disappoint him?
“That’s awesome.  How about next Saturday?”
“Sure, sure.  Sounds good.”  Anna was practically vibrating with indecision and worry.  Was he going to kiss her?  Was she going to kiss him?  Would he hate it?
He smiled slowly.  “Can I ask that we take this a little slow though?  I really don’t want to rush into anything.”
Her entire body relaxed.  “I would like to take it slow too.”  Relief washed over her to know that she was going to have some time to figure things out before she was faced with the potential problems that would arise with her complete lack of sexual prowess.
“May I give you a hug goodnight?” he asked.
Is this man real?  Anna nodded.  “Of course.”
She tried not to sigh too much into the hug when he pulled her body against his, but it was hard to restrain.  The sheet size of him made her feel like she’d might have to hold on for dear life if they were ever tangled together in the sheets.
He let her go after a moment and did a little bow.  “Have a good night, Anna.”
She bid him a goodnight as well and shut the door, turning and leaning her back against it.  “Wow,” she whispered to her empty apartment.
~   ~   ~   ~   ~
Kristoff regarded himself in the mirror by his closet.  “What do you think, Sven?”
He turned to the grey tabby cat who sat on the edge of his bed, looking at him with his curious feline gaze.
“Is it too much?”
Sven lifted his front paw and began licking it.
“I’ll lose the tie.”
The cat ignored him.
“Okay, yeah, lose the tie.”
Kristoff yanked the knot loose and whipped the tie off his neck.  This was stupid.  He’d already taken her to a romantic kind of place.   What he needed to do was take her on something that was fun.  Like a movie or bowling.
He worried that he had overstepped in the reservations that he had made.  What was it about her that made him just want to dive in like they had known each other for months instead of weeks?  He had no idea, and he had a lot of time to ponder it on his way to pick her up.
Without flowers this time, she greeted him at the door, slipped on her shoes – heels this time – and followed him out into the hallway without asking him in.  Not that it mattered.  She was still absolutely as stunning as last time, only in a knee-length black dress.
They made small talk as they drove and Kristoff soon pulled up to the tiny hole in the wall place that he was deeply familiar with.   It was something he initially figured would be a while before he showed her, but with Anna things were different.  Everything was different.
Nervous, he got out and hurried over to her door to open it.  She gave him a brilliant smile and he offered her his elbow as they walked up to the restaurant.
He knew the inside like the back of his hand because he’d grown up here.  It was his parents’ restaurant, and before he’d gone off to get his ticket for constriction, he worked almost every job there was in the place, including that one time he had to take over cooking.
They walked to the Matre’d, and to the man’s credit, he did not give away in his mannerisms that he knew Kristoff very well.  He was there as a customer, after all.  They were greeted and then seated at the best table in the place, a two-seater that was tucked into a little alcove beside the gas fireplace that afforded the little eatery a very romantic feeling.
“Kristoff, this place is lovely,” Anna said quietly after the waitress had given them menu’s and told them what the specials were.  She must have been a new hire because Kristoff had never seen her before.
He nodded.  “It is.  It’s my favourite place.”
Her eyes widened excitedly.  “It is?  What’s good here, then?”
He shrugged one shoulder.  “Pretty much everything.  The pasta is all home made, the steaks are always cooked the way you want them, and despite the fact that we don’t live near the ocean, the fish is always fresh.”
Anna seemed intrigued and eagerly looked down at the menu.  Kristoff held his in front of him and watched her.  He didn’t need to look at the menu; he had come up with half of it.
“I can’t decide,” she mumbled to herself, eyes still scanning the page and the corner of her lip pinched in her teeth.
Kristoff couldn’t take his eyes off her mouth.  The way she’d been so clearly distraught over how to end their first date spoke volumes to him about some of her self mentioned issues, and he really did want to take it slow with her.  For him just as much as her, because Anna was the first woman he’d been out with in a year that he felt he could have something with.  Except, those soft lips of hers… he had to admit to his more primal side that it was going to be hard to take their time.
Anna set the menu down and looked up at him.  “I really don’t know.  There are so many things I want to try.  What are you having?”
“Whatever the chef feels like making me.”
Her eyebrow raised.  “You know the chef?”
“I do.  He’s my dad.”
Her eyes widened.  “Your dad?”
He nodded, smiling despite himself.  “Yup.  This is my parents’ place.”
Anna set the menu down slowly.  “Oh, that’s… wonderful.  It’s a very nice place.”
His smile faded to see that there was suddenly tension in Anna’s movements, like she was nervous.  He realized then that to her this was not taking it slow.  It had never crossed his mind that she might take it that way.
“It’s not like we’re here to visit,” he said quickly, setting his own menu down.  “I just like coming here to eat.  The food is excellent.”
“Oh… yes, I am sure.  Of course it is.  This is...”  Her mouth floundered without words.
He let out a deep sigh.  “Anna, please don’t read anything into this.  I feel comfortable here, and I just wanted to share it with you.”
A slow smile spread on her face and she began to relax.  “Okay.”
He smiled back and the waitress slid up to their table.  “Can I get you some drinks to start?” she asked.
“Um…” Kristoff looked back to Anna.  “You feel like some wine?” he asked.
“Sure.”
Kristoff ordered them a bottle of red and said that they would take an order of their bruschetta to start.
“Excellent,” the waitress said, committing the order to memory.  “And would you like some more time with the menu for your entrées?”
He was about to ask Anna if she wanted more time when a thought occurred to him.  “Do you mind if I order?” he asked her.
She shook her head.  “Not at all.”
He turned back to the waitress.  “Can you please tell the chef to prepare us whatever he would like this evening?”  She looked at him a little confused, so he cleared the air.  “Don’t worry, he’ll know who’s asking.”
The waitress took the menus as Kristoff handed them to her.  “Alright.  I will have the wine and appetizer out to you shortly,” she said, and walked away from the table.
They started to talk about something random – Kristoff couldn’t remember how it started, only that Anna had said something to get the ball rolling – when the topic of conversation naturally turned to their previous relationships.
“So your sister told my sister you haven’t been in a date in a year?”
He nodded.  “Yeah, I tried but the dating scene is kind of awful so I had to give up for a bit.  I was in a serious relationship that ended badly.  You were too, I hear?”
Anna’s cheeks flushed with pink.  She tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear and he could see this was directly linked to one of her ‘issues’.   “Our sisters spilling our secrets huh?”
Kristoff chuckled.
“Yeah,” Anna continued.  “Three years and one day he tells me he’s been seeing other people and we were done.”
He frowned and felt genuine anger that that had happened to her.  “Wow.  That’s awful.”
She nodded.  “How did yours end?”
He sighed.  He thought back to having to end it with his high school sweetheart.  She had never desired to get married as her parents had a brutal divorce, and at the time Kristoff didn’t care one way or the other, as long as they planned to have kids some day.  Which she said that she did.   Then when the timing seemed right, she wanted to wait another year, then had excuse after excuse after excuse.  She became increasingly hostile every time Kristoff would bring it up and then one day he realized that he hadn’t asked in nearly two years and there was a gaping hole in his heart that was missing the family he’d always wanted.  He didn’t even bother asking her one last time.  He ended it instead.
“You were hurt?” she asked quietly, and he realized he’d gotten lost in his own thoughts.
He nodded.  “Eight years.  I was with her for eight years.  Then one day I realized that she was never going to commit to the things she said she wanted with me.  I had to move on, and it was the hardest thing I have ever done.”
Anna was quiet for a moment.  “Can I ask, what it is that you wanted?”
He looked at her, wondering if he should say something so early into their relationship.  Although, he supposed it would be good to get it out there.
“I wanted a family,” he said simply.  “She said she did and then kept putting it off.”  He shrugged.  “I just had to move on when I realized she had changed her mind.  Clean break.   And I didn’t tell her that it was the only reason.   I just didn’t want her saying she did want kids to try and salvage the relationship, you know?”
She didn’t answer, only nodded with understanding as the bruschetta he’d ordered was placed on the table.  They both helped themselves and began eating without a word.  It wasn’t until the plate was half finished when Anna broke the silence.
“That certainly sounds like a hard break up.  Probably more on you than her.”
That surprised him for the fact that it was absolutely true.  He nodded slowly, heart ramping up.
“It kind of makes me glad I only wasted three years with my ex,” she said.  “Eight years is a long time.”
“It is.  And… you know, I do still want a family.”  He left it lingering and knew Anna picked up on what he meant right away by the way her eyes widened as she stared at him.
“Kristoff… I…”
He reached across the table and put his hand on her arm.  “Anna, I’m not asking you to tell me right now or anything.  I just wanted you to know.  If you don’t want a family, I don’t want to waste your time.”
She visibly swallowed and turned her eyes to her glass of wine.  “Ever since I was a kid, I’ve known I wanted to get married and have kids.  And… I still do.  I just… I am having a hard time picturing it for myself right now.”
“I understand.  And I’m sorry, I did not mean to spring this conversation on you tonight.”
She laughed nervously.  “You didn’t, we just kind of got there, didn’t we?”
He agreed.  There was something in the way Anna reacted that he feared there was more to her breakup than she was letting on.  It made him angry all over again to think of someone mistreating her.
*****
Anna had the leftovers sitting in her lap as Kristoff drove her home.  The meal had been excellent; surf and turf, with a side of pasta in a creamy lemon sauce.  And Kristoff had paid for it, chuckling that he knew his parents would always let him eat free, but to him it was a business and he a customer, so of course he was going to pay the bill.  If he went in the back door to just mooch in the kitchen though, he told her with a wink, that was a different story.
He’d gone into the kitchen to say goodnight to his parents, leaving a relieved Anna at the table.  It felt a little too soon to her to meet his parents, and she was glad all over again that Kristoff wanted to take things slowly.
He parked on the street outside her building and shut the truck off.  She expected him to get out but he remained still behind the wheel.  Anna was about to grab her own door when he looked to her.
“Would it be okay if I asked why you you’re having a hard time picturing a family for yourself?”  He looked over at her, eyebrows furrowed with worry.
It gave Anna pause.  “I don’t know,” she stammered.  There was something in the way he was looking at her that gave her the feeling that he perhaps figured out more than she had wanted him to know.
“He really hurt you, didn’t he?” he asked quietly.
She couldn’t look him in the eyes anymore and turned them down to the cardboard box in her lap.  She had no idea what to say to him.  Instead, she swallowed the lump in her throat unable to help thinking back to what her ex had said to her.
“I’m sorry that happened to you, Anna.  I hope you know that I am not like that.  I could never cheat on someone.”
Anna nodded down at the leftovers, tears forming despite the fact that she did not want to cry.  Then a moment later the cool night embraced her skin and she looked over to see that Kristoff had her door open and was holding his hand out to her.  She took it, and let him help her down to the curb.
They walked into the building and rode up the elevator in silence.  Anna was thankful she had reigned in her tears and that she was able to turn and finally look at him when they stopped at her door.
“Thank you for the wonderful dinner, Kristoff.  Your dad is a fantastic cook.”
He didn’t say anything at first, he only looked at her like he was trying to figure something out.  Then he tilted his head to the side, appraising her closely, as his hand came up slowly and he cupped it to her cheek.
Anna’s eyes went wide and her body instantly coiled with tension as soon as he touched her face.  She stepped back and his hand instantly let go.
He lowered his arm slowly, his face morphing with understanding as she looked at him like a deer caught in the headlights. Then he pursed his lips, said goodnight, and disappeared down the hallway.

Hans: <found Kristoff and Sven in the docks, alone> I thought you are going with Anna and Elsa?
Kristoff: We were, but those kids have stopped us <points to the kids hugging Sven> and we, kinda, don't know the address, so...
Hans: ...
Hans: So they just left you behind?
Kristoff: I mean... they will be back soon, alright?
Hans: ...sure.
--
Hans: <found Kristoff and Sven in their camp, alone> ...I thought you were...?
Kristoff: <plays on his lute> Yea. They went ahead.
Hans: And you?
Kristoff: I was preparing sandwiches for the road, but I guess it took me too long.
Hans: ...
Kristoff: ...what?
Hans: Nothing, absolutely nothing.
--
Hans: <found Kristoff once again in the middle of the forest> ...don't tell me.
Kristoff: What? They wanted to check something in the caves. Apparently some strange magic...
Hans: ok mate, I know it is not my business, but consider it an intervention
-
Seriously, my fanfiction aside (altough I am going to address this issue really strongly there) nothing in Frozen baffled me as much as Kristoff's treatment in Frozen II. Anna and Elsa literally forgot about him, like he was some sort of a lost umbrella or something. Come on, you could just tell the man where you are going... or that you are going at all. You didn't have to bring him with you, but since you drag him along, maybe just... inform him? Seriously, it's not some sort of "girl independence", that is a just a lack of manners.
And also, when Anna cried after Olaf has "died" that she has nothing left to live for in this world, I literally did a facepalm. Girl, you have a fiancée. Whom you, supposedly, love. Who, sure as hell, loves you. And you completely forgot about him! Like... seriously, I would advise Kristoff to think again about this relationship, because I am pretty sure he is going to stay a third wheel for the rest of his life. Because, despite Anna's apology after she finally remembered that her boyfriend exists, I have a feeling that, well, this issue will persists. Elsa will always be the most important one.

Introduction
So, I want to start out by saying that I know I have been a little quiet lately and haven't had any updates on posts. I had caught COVID and was fighting it for a while feeling horrible. Also, just had to post this for shameless advertising hehehe.
With Frozen 3 now on the way, YouTube channel Geekritique revisits the story of Frozen as it stands so far in an expansive timeline video that compiles lore established across the movies, animated shorts, and tie-in books to create a detailed history of Arendelle. With the aid of dedicated fan group Arendelle Archives, the video begins with the grand designs of King Runeard (Jeremy Sisto), the shameful conflicts with Northuldra over the dam, Anna(Kristen Bell) and Elsa's troubled childhood, and the deaths of Agnarr (Alfred Molina) and Iduna (Evan Rachel Wood) that would lead into the original movie. The timeline takes into account the events of Joe Caramagna's comics that bridge the gap between each movie, as well as the novels Dangerous Secrets: The Story of Iduna and Agnarr, Forest of Shadows, and Polar Nights: Cast Into Darkness. - Nathan Graham-Lowery - Screenrant

And episodes 7 and 8 of "Frozen Podcast" were released.
7 - THE CONFESSION
Tumblr media
The next spirit to face problems is Gale who attacks the three queens, but Elsa manages to prevent anyone from being hurt.
Gale ends up taking the group to a mountain and there they come across an automaton excavating it, but he faces problems which leads him to cause a landslide that would hit Elsa and Anna, but Disa ends up saving them
Elsa tries to hold him back with the ice while Disa and Anna try to get closer, but he is too strong for the ice which leads Elsa to decide to ask for help from the Giants. In the midst of the confusion, Anna and Disa end up trapped in a cave because of the landslides. Disa ends up having a panic attack, but Anna manages to calm her down. Disa is surprised at how Anna is dealing with this whole situation and Elsa's sister gives a summary of her problems in the two films and how this made her stronger. In the cave Anna says that the culprit is Wolfgang, but Disa confesses that she was the one who created the automatons. Disa created the automatons on her ship as a way of trying to help Arendelle with her science, but with simple things like purifying water, but apparently when they came into contact with the spirits of nature, they ended up causing some problem that led them to act strangers and cause all this confusion. Anna ends up arguing with Disa because she tried to impose her will on how Arendelle would go in the future without consulting her as queen, Anna is the one who decides the future of the kingdom and whether they followed that path or not. But Anna manages to forgive Disa and they end up hugging and working together they manage to leave
When they leave, the two come across Gale and Bruni, who are very calm and interact very well with Disa. The women decide to return to Arendelle to save Woflgang from jail, but Anna prefers to keep the revelation of Disa's guilt within her social circle rather than tell the kingdom
8 – THE DUKE OF ANTLERS
Tumblr media
As soon as Anna and Disa return they go directly to Woflgang's cell to apologize and release him, Disa confesses her guilt to him, but Wolfgang doesn't take it personally and in fact he even enjoyed his time in prison since the allowed him to rethink his life and even composed a sequel to his opera
As they are preparing dinner Anna comments that Queen Disa hasn't shown up and feels that she is currently tense, Wolfgang says that he gave her copper because she was wanting to start a new project. And while Wolfgang talks to Olaf about opera, Anna goes to Disa
But Disa had gone outside and ends up being found first by Elsa who was riding Nokk. There is an uncomfortable atmosphere between the women as Anna's sister seems to only want to help the other woman and her people. Kristoff arrives being sent by Anna who wants to meet her, but Disa dismisses the company and seems really worried about her ship, much to Kristoff's confusion, although Elsa understands the other woman's feeling of wanting to be alone for a while
Mattias goes to Olaf and Wolfgang, the general wanted to apologize for having arrested him, but Wolfgang again shows that he does not hold any kind of grudge. Wolfgang spent two days in prison, but for him, who has a philosophical mind, he considered it an eternity of reflection alone in the philosophical way possible, much to Mattias's confusion since it was only literally two days. But as Mattias really wants to apologize and makes himself available to Wolfgang, the Duke of Weselton's nephew ends up pulling him into the sequel to his opera. Olaf even tried out for the same role Wolfgang wants for Mattias which involved playing the flute, but the snowman says he's a better singer and starts singing. And after that Wolfgang gives Mattias what he's been knitting the whole time since the two of them met in the square: the green sweater that matches his own, and he even made a blue one for Olaf that's a little difficult to put on
Disa is the last to arrive at dinner and says her ship suffered little damage. During the conversation at dinner Kristoff asks the trio of women if they saw Ryder in the Enchanted Forest and what he was doing, but the conversation is interrupted by Wolfgang who asks Disa if her machines can be used for mining and extraction, this conversation ends up making Disa feel sick and leave dinner
And with Disa gone, Lord Wolfgang focuses his attention on Kristoff by asking him about Ryder, but the conversation ends up being forgotten to focus on the sisters. Anna is worried about Disa, but Elsa although she trusted Anna about Disa she fears that her gone Anna is not safe, and again Anna reinforces that Disa is a good person and decides to go see Disa after dinner
After dinner, Wolfgang decides to premiere his opera with different instruments, and it has fifty-seven songs, much to Kristoff's despair and Anna's laughter, which they would have to listen to in its entirety

Loki was eating breakfast the next morning while thinking about the day before. He had declared his love for Sigyn and spent several happy minutes with her firmly in his arms. She also admitted her love for him and made him the happiest man in the Nine. He resigned himself to giving up his current apartment. He formally apologized to Thor, paid him back the gold he owed him, and admitted a secret tryst. He finished the day with an emotionally charged conversation with Sigyn’s parents.
Last night’s dinner had been somewhat awkward. While relishing Sigyn's caresses and adoring looks, he could not help but notice Lady Anderson staring at him and barely touching her food. He needed to get to the bottom of her claims and put both of their minds at ease. And the sooner, the better.
He was less than two weeks from becoming a married man. He already had Sigyn’s ring purchased, but he still needed to decide which apartment they would move into, pick out furniture, and be fitted for his wedding clothes, not to mention the surprise that Thor was planning for his stag party. ‘Oh well,’ he thought, ‘one thing at a time.’
He finished his breakfast and went to his desk. He quickly wrote three messages and called for his chambermaid, “Margit?”
“Yes, Your Highness?”
“Could you please see that these messages get where they need to go?” he asked as he passed her the parchment envelopes.
“Certainly,” she accepted them and stuffed them in her apron, “I can deliver them after I take care of these breakfast dishes.”
“Thank you.” Loki turned his attention to an unfinished budget that he had been working on the night before when there was a knock at the door.
“The Prince?” Margit asked as she made her way across the room.
“He never bothers with knocking.” Loki watched as she made her way to the door.
She opened the door only partially, gasped, and then sunk into a very deep curtesy before opening the door wide. Loki stood and quickly strode to where his father, the King, stood in the doorway. Loki bowed.
“Good morning, son. May I come in?”
“Of course, please.” Loki motioned for him to enter. “Margit, please bring tea to the sitting room.”
“Margit?” Odin asked, sounding shocked. “Margit, by the stars! It has been millennia! Lovely to see you again.” He took her hand and kissed the back of it. Margit blushed and gave the King another curtsey.
“I heard you retired.” He placed his hand on her arm and rubbed it with his thumb.
“Oh, I got so bored sitting around the house. I returned to work in the kitchens part-time until the Queen asked me to come and work for the Prince.”
“Wonderful. The palace is lucky to have you back. I trust my son is treating you well?”
“Yes, Your Majesty. He is a very kind young man.”
“Good, good. How’s the family? You married Kristoffer, right? The guard?”
“Yes, he is well. He retired but volunteers at the elder home, delivering meals to the residents and engaging them in conversation. Whew, does he come home with some stories,” she laughed.
Odin regarded her tenderly, “He is a good man. I am glad you two found each other.”
“Yes...” she looked down at her hands clasped tightly, “I have had a happy life.”
“That is all I ever wanted for you.” Odin looked like he would reach for her again but clasped his hands behind his back instead.
Loki cleared his throat to remind the pair that he was, in fact, still in the room, “You two know each other?” he asked.
“Margit was my chambermaid when I was a young prince. My apartment was just down the hall from this one.” He motioned with his hand, not taking his eyes from Margit.
“I see.” Loki realized that they had been intimate but kept his face neutral.
Margit blushed, “My, that was so long ago.” She put her hand to her cheek, “Let me get you that tea, Your Majesty.” Odin nodded and watched her as she curtsied and walked away.
“Please, have a seat.” Loki motioned to the sitting room. Odin sat in Loki’s favorite leather chair, and he took a seat on the sofa. Loki used his seiðr to bring the fire back to life. Odin tapped his fingers on the arms of the chair and looked about the apartment.
Loki waited patiently for Odin to speak. When he didn’t, he asked, “Is this about the budget? I was finishing that up when you arrived.”
“No, son. I wanted to talk to you about your upcoming life event,” Odin gave Loki a tight smile.
Loki’s heart rate picked up a bit. Aside from polite small talk, his father rarely spoke to him about anything besides work. Margit returned with a tray of small cookies, a teapot, and two cups.
She poured the tea and asked, “Is there anything else, My Prince?”
“No, thank you, Margit.”
“Very well. I will see to your messages.” She curtsied, “Your Majesty, Your Highness.”
“It was lovely to see you again. Give your family my best.”
Margit gave the king one last look before nodding and slipping back to the dining room to gather the breakfast dishes. Odin occupied himself with his tea and a cookie until he heard the front door close behind the chambermaid.
He brushed the crumbs from his beard before he spoke. “The wedding is fast approaching.”
“Yes, Father.”
“And you are prepared for… all that marriage entails.” Odin looked very uncomfortable.
“I am.”
“Heirs?”
“Let me stop you right there. I know how babies are made, Father. I have been practicing for centuries.”
Odin chuckled, “Yes, I am aware. What I meant is that you are expected to produce heirs. My concern is… I hope you will take the time to enjoy your children when they are young. Do not make work a priority as I did. My only regret in my very long life is that I did not spend as much time as I would have liked with you and your brother while you were little.” Odin set his tea on the table. “The years passed so quickly. One minute you were a babe in my arms; the next, you were a young man with ambitions of your own.”
“You are the King. Your duty to the realm came first. I understand that.”
“And as the King, I could have delegated part of my duties while the two of you were small. It was just not done in those days. But times are changing; a man is not only measured by his work but also by the family he leaves behind.”
Loki nodded, “I promised Sigyn that I would prioritize our future children.”
“Then I do not doubt you will be a far better father than I was.”
“Are you not my father still?”
Odin was taken aback, “Well, yes...”
“Would you be agreeable to spending more time together in the present so I might get your advice on more than just work?”
Odin considered that momentarily, “If that is what you would like, I would enjoy that.”
“You and Mother have had a long and happy marriage despite…” Loki waved his hand toward the door Margit exited.
Odin leaned back in the chair and squinted his eye at him, “So you picked up on that, did you? Always so clever.”
“Well, you were about as subtle as a sledgehammer. Even Thor could have pieced that one together.”
Odin laughed, “That was thousands of years ago, before I was betrothed to your mother. I was younger than you are now. I was a young prince, falling in love with every maiden who crossed my path, getting my heart broken, then falling in love with someone else the next day.”
“It is hard to believe you were such a romantic.”
“That was before I knew what true love was.”
“When you met Mother?”
“I had affection for your mother, but it took some time to fall in love.” Loki gave his father a puzzled look. “I met your mother for the first time on our wedding day. We were not permitted to court each other in those days. Our parents arranged everything. I was fortunate that Frigga was so warm and caring. It was easy to fall in love with her eventually.”
“That is what you were hoping for with me? That Sigyn would capture my heart eventually?”
Odin nodded, “Your mother assured me this was an auspicious match.
“I must admit, though, your marriage to Sigyn was, first and foremost, a political move on my part to strengthen our family’s ties with the North. We depend on their resources here in the capital and throughout Asgard. If I somehow fell out of favor with them, the whole realm would be crippled, making a political coup a genuine possibility. With you as the Warden and Thor as King, everyone in Asgard will remain healthy and strong. The viability of those resources is crucial in keeping our citizens fed.”
“That is a lot of responsibility.”
“I could think of no one I would rather take Lord Anderson’s place.”
Loki sat back on the sofa. His father’s words hit him like an tidal wave.
“I am a King with only one kingdom but two sons. I do not have a second kingdom to offer you, my son, but I am giving you the second-best thing that I can. As Warden of the Northern Territory, you will oversee those lands. All the Northern Lords will answer to you; you will only answer to the King.”
Loki nodded, letting the weight of his words sink in, “Thank you, Father.”
“In the meantime, you get Sigyn. Not a bad trade-off, wouldn’t you agree.”
Loki’s heart did a little flip, “Sigyn is...” his smile widened, “the most,” he shook his head. “Ah, Father, I do not even have the words.”
Odin laughed earnestly, “I know, my son. I know.”
“She loves me, Father. She told me this, and I saw it in her eyes. There was no lie in her words. That beautiful spirit of a woman…” Loki shook his head again, “I do not know what I did to earn that love, but I will do everything in my power to make her happy.”
“I have not seen you this happy since you were gifted your first pony.”
“Sigyn makes me a thousand times happier than that, and we have yet to even…” Loki stopped himself from finishing his sentence.
Odin laughed heartily, “Saving it for the wedding night? There is nothing wrong with that.”
Loki’s cheeks flushed, and he looked at his hands in his lap, “Mother made me promise, but Sigyn is becoming…frustrated.”
“You will learn this lesson soon enough, but my first piece of marital advice: Your bride’s happiness must take priority over your mother’s.” He gave Loki a wink with his one good eye, “Maybe there is a compromise you could come to with Sigyn without breaking your promise to your mother?”
“You are a very wise King, indeed.” Loki grinned.
“The happiness of my subjects is my top priority.” They shared a laugh before Odin asked, “Is there anything else you would like to talk about?”
“As a matter of fact, there is. While I have your ear.” The King nodded for him to continue. “Have you given any thought to whom Thor will marry?”
Odin shook his head, “No, there have been no offers I would consider beneficial. Why do you ask?”
“I was talking with him when my betrothal was announced. He wants to get married and start a family. At first, I pitied him for being so idealistic, but now, after picturing my future with Sigyn, I want him to be as happy as I am.” Loki leaned forward in his seat. “I would ask that you consider letting Thor choose his own wife. Pending the Crown’s approval, of course.”
“Is Thor courting someone at the moment?”
“I am not at liberty to say, Father.”
“I will take that as a yes.” Odin steepled his fingers in front of his lips. “I will have to think about it. We are currently at peace. I did secure our family’s future with your marriage. I would have to broker something with the girl’s family if she is suitable. Hmm… I will talk it over with Frigga. This is not a yes, but it is a maybe.”
“That is all I am asking. Thank you, Father.”
Odin nodded, took another cookie, and asked, “Did you choose a man to stand up for you at the wedding?”
“I asked Thor.”
Odin gave him a proud smile. “Good choice.”
“I do not know what he is planning for the stag party, but I would be honored if you could make an appearance.”
“Ha! I have not been to a stag party in ages. I will get the details from your brother; if it is not too risqué, I would love to come.”
“Risqué? This is Thor we are talking about.”
“True.” Odin tapped his fingers on the arm of the chair again, “I must go hold court.” He stood; Loki followed. “You will have that budget on my desk before the next council meeting?”
“Yes, sir.”
“If you need anything…” Odin clasped his hands together in front of himself and shifted his weight from foot to foot.
Loki nodded, “Yes, thank you. Here, let me walk you out.” He motioned to the front door.
“Son, about Margit. No one needs to know about…” he waved his hand in the air, “ancient history.”
“No. No, of course not. You have my word.”
“I am not ashamed, mind you. But I do cherish your mother; I have remained faithful to her all these years. There is no need to cause her undo distress.”
“No. I understand.” Loki gave him a reassuring smile.
“My door is always open.” Odin clapped a hand on Loki’s shoulder as he opened the front door for his father. Odin’s guards bowed as he exited to the hallway.
“Thank you for this. I appreciate the visit.”
“I should have done it sooner.” Odin hesitated in the hall. He went to speak again but stopped himself. He nodded to Loki, then took his leave, four guards following close behind.
‘Love you too, Father.’ Loki thought as watched him turn the corner.
