Why do hate ausntm cycle 9? From your rankings it seemed very positive.
Don't get me wrong, it is still a solid season. But the shift from Cycle 8 to 9 felt like AusNTM lost its heart. Charlotte Dawson was a huge part of that, the show fully suffered without her, but also the point system (what a horrid implementation of an already meh idea), the more over-produced element, the quality of the shoots...it just felt overly slick now. The individual photos were often solid, the black and white shoot is still incredible, and there were some good models, but behind just those photos I definitely enjoyed it less than the other cycles.
Cycle 10 suffers from a lot of these issues too, but the one key difference was who succeeded. With 9, you had Lucy and Brittany as the F2, and while I think Brittany was a fine winner modelling wise, can't say I was excited to see her win. Same goes with Lucy making it so far. Izi, Phoebe, Lauren, these were the models I was rooting for, so seeing them go early, somewhat unfairly sucked.
Cycle 10 on the other hand has 3 really strong models make it to the end, and even those who I maybe wasn't as big a fan of looks or photos wise, I enjoyed more personality wise. Still think Cycle 10 is a step down from those before, but it was a step up from Cycle 9.

1. Lauren’s Gaultier Shot
It took a while for me to decide my top choice for Cycle 9 (I considered all of the top 5 for the number 1 spot at some point), but in the end I went with this impeccable shot of Lauren! She looks absolutely sensational in the gown and she modeled it flawlessly. She’s almost slithering down the wall, and I love the delicacy of her hands and the way she used her arms to frame her face. Speaking of which, she looks so divine here! She caught the light perfectly and her eyes are super intense and seductive. This was Lauren’s shining moment and her shot could easily grace the pages of any high fashion magazine!

#play #stagedive#solofueunjuego #kyliescott #todoenunanoche #books #bookstagram #booklover #reading #bookworm #bookstagrammer #read #bookaddict #booksofinstagram #instabook #bookaholic #bookshelf #booksbooksbooks #libros #readersofinstagram #bookphotography #reader #booklove #instabooks #librosargentina #booksargentina (en Buenos Aires, Argentina) https://www.instagram.com/p/CZVATZ4lo0l/?utm_medium=tumblr

You wouldn’t want another season with the ericson kids meeting another group and growing the school? What about a mini series at the school where you play as marlon or sophie right as the apocalypse starts?
I mentioned in a few posts before regarding potential DLC linked to the other boarding school kids who died before Clem showed up (so kinda like a 400 Days type of story).
But ultimately I don’t want it.
The story won’t be written by the same writers who created the characters/story for this season and I view that as an issue for trying to keep characters true to their original portrayals and keeping the same tone in narrative.
I feel like I would constantly be asking myself: “would Mary have written this for Violet?”, “Would Lauren/Kent have written this scene this way?”
Also there comes a point where you have to ask yourself when DO you finish a story?
Clem has already had the best final chapter she can possibly get this season. I honestly can’t see how another season could improve it or match up to the intensity of The Final Season without rehashing the exact same lessons and story tbh.

Sinner's Creed - Kim Jones.
The Baller - Vi Keeland. A autora é maravilhosa e nunca decepciona.
Sensation - Kimberly Knight.
A Conquista - Elle Kennedy.
Jogo do Amor/Ódio - Sally Thorne.

1. Lauren
Lauren absolutely slayed this photoshoot and nailed the brief! I adore how she’s arrogantly shoving her face into Alyssa’s like she’s whispering blistering insults to her before their fight, and her jawline is sublime. Her face could be more in the light, but I don’t even mind since the shadow just makes her even more intimidating. Everything about her pose is so forceful and dominating as well. It’s one of my favorite pictures of Lauren so far, and she should’ve been the clear candidate for the top spot on the leaderboard (considering she also won the challenge).

#4 – Lauren Ericson
When looking through some of the background of this cycle, I stumbled upon the fact that Lauren was only 16. That seems absolutely ridiculous to me, as I honestly thought she was so mature. She just seemed like a really gorgeous soul, who was far more experienced than her age would suggest. Lauren also modelled far better than her age, though her first few photos did seem a bit junior, she quickly turned it around and became one of the threats in the competition. Her journey saw her manage to get 2 first call-outs, and have no real bad performances. When she was eliminated it was another ridiculous call, as her performance had still been so strong that week. The fact it was so obvious that week had been fixed so the favourites could succeed just annoyed me, as you could think they could hide it better.
Lauren’s portfolio is one of the three contender’s for best portfolio, I think her first two photos were weaker than the rest, but even those weren’t bad, just more ill-fitting. Her persona shot has grown on me slightly, and I realised the one they showed in panel was actually better than the one they released, so I think her weakest shot was probably her black and white shot. She looks her age there, and I think darker hair doesn’t really work that well for her. Her highest point she be no surprise, given that I gave that photo the number one spot on my favourites list. It is a brilliant photo, and if Lauren manages to produce photos like that after the show, I think she could have some solid level of success in modelling. She managed to make the dress just look absolutely insane.
If I was deciding how far to take Lauren, I think I would cut her at the semi-finals. She definitely should have been in the final 4, based on the overall performances from the season. I loved everything about this girl, and thought the judges were ridiculous to cut her at the final 5. Her past photos, as well as the success of poor conceptualised photo should have proved Lauren was the better 16 year old. She may not have had the same look as Lucy, but I think her skills were greater, and she had proved that fact too.
