Headcanon: HSL boys and their alternative jobs

Lately I've been thinking about my future and what I want for my life, but I started to get super overwhelmed, so I decided to put the boys in my place instead and think about alternative jobs for them.

Armin

Honestly, I think game developer is a profession that suits him very well and I can't picture him doing something else.

But if I had to choose, I'd say maybe a website developer…

or someone that works with IT services.

Castiel

Same for him, he was born to be on stage and I don't even have other options for him.

Maybe instead of being a vocalist and a guitarist, he could have chosen to be "only" a guitarist.

A long time ago, I saw someone saying he could have been a vet, but honestly… I don't agree with them.

I also don't know if Cas would choose to be a music teacher, but if that was the case he would be that teacher everyone likes and that's (not so secretly) crushed by half of the school.

Kentin

Kentin, on the other hand, I can definitely see him choosing to be a vet.

I already have a headcanon about an alternative job for Ken and I said it would be really amazing to see him as a wildlife photographer.

I think the idea of him being an influencer is very interesting, mostly if his content is about traveling and animals.

OH MY GOD I WAS FINISHING WRITING ABOUT NATH AND SUDDENLY IT CAME TO MY MIND: A PERSONAL TRAINER I'd be the most fitness person ever if I had him as my personal trainer, it would be over for y'all!!!!!

Lys

He's a farmer right? He could be a gardener maybe?

To be honest I can't see him as a singer, but if that was his choice I picture him as those low profile artists that disappear for months/years and then make a comeback that blows everyone's mind, you know?

Poetry writer or just a writer in general is also very much like him.

I'm not gonna lie…. I think his canon job makes him even more hot 🥵

For him… idk the first thing that came was a literature teacher, but idk… I don't think he'd like to be around teenagers everyday.

So yeah, I honestly don't know. What are your opinions about him?

A. On my end, a few small adventures, but nothing serious. B. Neither did I. There was nothing, there wasn’t anyone else. +5 C. (I didn’t say anything. Each of us has to make an effort.)

A. (I want only one thing: to sleep next to Lysander.) +10 B. (And I would like it to stay that way. I don’t feel ready.)

"Lysander still loves Rosa?"

A lot of people say that but I'm convinced that's not the case. everyone says that because of episode 31 and because Lysander called his rabbit Rosa :'(

Come on please, of course Lysander doesnt love Rosa as a romantic interest. He did have a teenager crush on her when they met, but he quickly let it go when he saw rosa and his brother were interested in each other. And he sure was happy his brother found someone nice. (Wouldn’t have been so easy to let go if he have had real deep feelings)

So yes, he does love her a lot, but like a dear friend and as his sister in law, as familiy, and that's why he is still very close to her, but that's it.

As for the bunny, he named her like this as a joke because the bunny eats A LOT and he also says to Candy that he couldnt name a pet after her because she is unique and irreplacable.

Hnnn could I request a fluff scenario with Lysander with a usually chill boyfriend that's excited to meet a mall santa for the first time? 💦 Maybe Lysander's pov to see his silent judging,.

Yes, of course! This one was really cute to write, I hope you like it :)

Before you start reading, I have 2 things to say:

1) I talked to @mabit0104 and he asked me to refer to this male Candy as Germaine;

2) I wasn't able to revise it carefully because I haven't been feeling well and I felt like it affected my writing as well, I hope you understand. But don't worry about me ^^

Enough talking, let's start the story!

Lysander and his boyfriend sat next to each other watching the scenes of a classic movie that was being projected on the cinema screen. The movie theater at the mall had the tradition of rerun some old movies from time to time, and the two boys never lost the opportunity to go to at least one session. Of course they enjoyed modern movies too, but coming to the movies to watch something that had been produced decades before was surely attractive to them. And the fact that fewer people came for this kind of session was a clear advantage for both of the boys, who prefered calm environments.

For a moment, Lys lost the focus he had on the movie, and let his eyes wander aimlessly through his surroundings. There were only 3 other people aside from the couple, all sitting in a considerate distance from each other. He liked it, it was almost like they had the theater only for them. He landed his gaze on Germaine. “He looks so serene”, the white-haired boy thought.

He must have been looking at him for longer than he expected, for his boyfriend turned to him with a suspicious look, yet with a shy smile on his face.

“Why are you staring at me like this?”, Germaine asked in a low voice.

Lysander shook his head and answered with the same tone, “You’re just so beautiful, I can’t help it.”

The boy beside him had his mouth opened at the sudden comment, and quickly turned his head in the direction of the screen.

“You-you should pay attention to the movie!” If it wasn’t for the darkness of the room, the blush spreading through his cheeks would have been obvious and hard to hide.

Lys just giggled a little with this thought and held his boyfriend’s hand, gently intertwining their fingers. In spite of his shyness, Germaine didn’t mind the act, in fact, it made him smile, he could feel hundreds of butterflies flying happily in his stomach. There weren’t any other comments after that, but neither let go of the other’s hand.

It didn’t take long for the movie to end. The couple followed the others towards the exit and soon were walking through the many aisles of the mall without a certain destination.

“The decoration they did for Christmas this year is lovely, isn’t it?”, Lys said

“Hmm… it’s actually my first time seeing such a decoration, everything looks so perfect for me”, Germaine’s statement made his boyfriend speechless for a minute. It’s true that he had noticed the other observing everything around them attentively, sometimes it seemed like he had to hold himself not to touch a decoration of fake snow or an oversized reindeer with a big red nose. He had found it endearing, but not for a moment he thought the boy acted like this because he had never seen anything like that. And this information lit a lamp right above Lysander’s head.

“That surprises you?” Germaine asked after seeing his boyfriend’s reaction.

“I have to admit that yes, it does. But that’s not bad! It’s true that you said there are no malls in your hometown, I just didn’t connect the dots…” Lys admitted honestly and Germaine smiled at him.

“It’s just like you not connecting the dots, right? I think it’s really cute seeing your face when you come to this kind of realization”, Lysander shrugged, scratching the back of his neck and both laughed.

“Well, since it’s your first time, come with me. I want to show you something!”, the pale boy pulled his boyfriend by the hand, making the confused boy follow him.

“Wait! Show me what?!”

“It’s a surprise!”, Lysander said with animation, but still managed to keep his calm demeanor as he guided the other boy towards the center of the mall where he knew the decorations were much more elaborate.

The couple passed to some more corridors full of stores, Germaine strongly believe he could find anything and everything he needed or wanted there. As they approached their destination, the decorations started to get more constant. There were more fairy lights of different colors hanging from the ceiling, and some mistletoes fake trees were placed at the widest corridors.

But none of that could be compared to what the boys came across when they arrived at the circular area at the center of the shopping mall. The floor there was covered in a green carpet that resembles grass, big gift boxes sat under at least six christmas trees, all of them bigger than any Germaine and even Lysander have ever had at their houses. The highest tree was placed in the very middle of the space, hundreds of decorations hang from the branches, dozens of the biggest deep red Poinsettias were also attached to the tree, followed by many other golden ornaments that matched with the star at the very top of the Christmas tree.

“Oh. My. God.”, Germaine’s shocked expression in the movies was nothing compared to the one he had now. His eyes were wide open and his mouth formed an “O”. The boy didn’t say anything else before running straight to the attraction. At first Lysander thought his boyfriend had seen some of his close friends, for how cheerful and loud he was. Lys just stared with his brows raised in surprise, he couldn’t believe the fact he had just seen his boyfriend running straight to a human sized snow man for a hug.

“Oh my god…”. No need to say that the way Lysander said these words was completely different from how his boyfriend had said them just some seconds before.

"What has gotten into him?", the boy muttered, facing the quest that he himself had plotted. He walked towards Germaine with determination, he wasn't angry or upset, he was just… startled. Very startled. He had never seen him in that state of excitement.

When he got close to where his boyfriend was, calling his name so he could get his attention back, Germaine came up to him for a bear hug. "I'm so happy! Thank you so much for bringing me here, dear, everything is so magical!"

"Don't mention it. I'm glad you're happy. I didn't imagine you would be so excited." Lys said with a muffled laugh.

"But I am!". One could almost see stars blinking in Germaine's eyes. "I wonder if they have a Santa here, that would be even more perfect!"

"Oh, I believe they do. You didn't notice that little house, did you? He's probably there."

"What little hou-", Germaine's words once again were left unfinished, and before he could go off running, Lysander held him in another hug.

"Let's go together, okay? The house is not going anywhere."

"Yes." Germaine nodded energetically. "Yes, you're right. Together, let's go!" He started freeing himself from the hug.

"Sweetheart!"

"Yes?". There was a bit of impatience in his voice.

Lysander placed a chaste kiss on Germaine's lips before speaking again. "The house is not going anywhere! Come on, hold my hand".

He was able to calm his boyfriend a little, just a little. He hadn't imagined the boy would be like this, that didn't seem at all like the Germaine that held himself from touching the small ornaments at the other wing of the mall where the movie theater was located.

They walked around the massive Christmas tree and once they were on the other side, they could see it completely. The walls were painted in a cream color and the frames of the windows were red and decorated with more ornaments. The house's door was open and a red carpet guided the way to it. Lysander had to agree with his boyfriend, everything was in fact incredibly magical.

Around the house and in the short waiting line that formed in front of the house, there were many parents that came and went with their kids, who acted just like Germaine. Jumping around and asking to stay a bit longer.

"Oh my god. Santa is there, right? He's there, there's even a line to get inside!"

"Yes", Lysander laughed and squeezed his boyfriend's hand gently. "Today, you're the luckiest guy. He doesn't stay there all the time."

"He must be a really busy man", Germaine nodded a bit too seriously.

They joined the families that waited to meet "Santa" in front of his house and as they got closer, Lys could see his boyfriend getting nervous, the boy kept passing his weight from one foot to another and cleaning his sweaty hand on his jeans.

"What is it, dear?". Lys caressed his boyfriend's cheeks as he asked him.

"I… I don't know what to say to him. What should I say?" Germaine's voice was a bit high because of the anxious state he was getting into.

"Don't worry about it, he will only ask you what you want from Christmas and will let you take a picture with him."

"I'll take a picture with him?!", Germaine exclaimed.

"Shhh", Lysander hushed his boyfriend once again, but couldn't keep from laughing. "Of course you can, that's why he's here!"

"How do I look?"

"Sorry"

"How do I look? Do I look good?" Lys couldn't believe that scene. Why would he even ask that?

"You always look good! I just said you are beautiful at the movies!" At that Germaine gave the biggest pout.

"Sweetheart, don't worry. I'm telling you, you will know exactly what to say to him, and you're handsome. It'll be fine, you'll see it!" Lys said and took his boyfriend's hand to his mouth for a kiss. The other boy seemed more reassured at that. They chatted a little to pass the time and to keep Germaine calm before their turn.

When the last family before them left, a cheerful lady with big brown eyes and shiny dark hair divided in two braids welcomed them. "Good evening, boys! Welcome to Santa's house, he's waiting for you right there"

Lysander wondered if it was a coincidence or if she really was dressed to resemble a reindeer with her clothes of neutral colors and the antlers on her head. Either way, both he and Germaine found her adorable. The boys thanked her and entered the small house.

As soon as they put their feet inside, they saw a kind old man with white hair and rosy cheeks, dressed in red from head to toe. Lysander turned his gaze to his boyfriend, the boy had the most brilliant smile on his face, not a single trace of his nervousness there to be seen. That made him smile as well.

"Ho! Ho! What a surprise!" Santa said with a loud welcoming voice. "I don't get to see such tall kids like you two! Come closer boys, come talk to the old man!"

Germaine looked at Lys for a moment with a silent question of what to do. Lys just encouraged him to go first by motioning his hand, showing he would be just behind him.

Santa opened his arms for a hug that was well accepted by the boy. When they separated, there were some tears of pure joy on Germaine's eyes. That alarmed Lysander a little, but he stayed in place, trusting his boyfriend could do it.

"Ho ho! Why are you crying, child? It's almost Christmas, you should be happy!

"I'm happy, Santa! It's… it's my first time seeing you, I'm just too excited!", Germaine explained while wiping his tears with a smile.

"Then I shall make a long lasting first impression!" Santa let out a warm guffaw. "What's your name, boy?"

"It 's Germaine!"

"Sit here, Germaine!" He patted his knee before continuing. "Tell this old man what is your wish for this Christmas!"

The boy hesitated a moment, but decided to sit on Santa's knee and lean in to tell his wish in a whisper. Lysander watched the scene with a smile and took his phone from the pocket to take a picture of the moment without the two of them seeing

"Ho! Ho! Ho! That's a great wish, Kid! I'll make sure it comes true!" Santa patted the boy's back. "Ho! Ho! I almost forgot about the picture! Who's going to take it?"

"Oh, my boyfriend will do it!"

"Yes, I was just waiting. Smile!" Lys took some pictures of them just to make sure.

"Thank you very much, Santa! I'll never forget this moment." Germaine said, holding Santa's hand.

"Ho! Ho! It's my pleasure, child! Now come on!" He said looking at Lysander, asking him to get closer.

"Hmm?" Lysander wasn't expecting he would have to speak to Santa too, he could feel his face going red

"Ho! Ho! Ho! Come here, kid!, It's your turn to talk to Santa!"

"O-okay" Lys didn't remember the last time he'd gotten so shy.

He repeated the same process his boyfriend had just done. He sat on Santa's knee, told him his name, and leaned in when asked to share his wish. The boy didn't have to think much to choose one.

"I wish Germaine's wish comes true", Lys whispered and Santa answered with his usual laugh.

"Ho! Ho! Ho! That will be an easy one, my son!" Santa said with a huge smile. "It's time for the picture, look there!"

Lysander turned and smiled a little when he saw his boyfriend smiling while getting ready to take the picture. He was already standing up, when Santa pushed him back down and called Germaine to do the same.

When both boys were sat, Santa waved for the girl that welcomed them at the entrance.

"Lana, would you do us a favor?"

"Yes, sir! What's I" she smiled kindly.

"Take a picture of us three, please! Germaine will lend his phone to you."

Lana, the girl with the antlers, accepted Germaine's phone with the camera app already opened.

"Okay, everyone! Get ready! 1, 2, 3, cheese!"

The picture taken of them showed Lys looking at Germaine with love, on the other hand, Germaine was the only one who said cheese and showed a pretty smile to the camera. Santa was photographed in the middle of a "Ho! ho! ho!", and that was a photo Lysandre's boyfriend promised to keep forever.
