ac characters playing mc:

desmond: (server owner) the one whos dying to fight the ender dragon. as soon as u spawn? “hey guys can we speedrun and fight the dragon asap?” and when the dragon dies, he respawns it each time. until every single end gate is unlocked. and keeps going

altaïr: mining the whole time. five minutes into the game, he already found diamonds, he’s looted five ancient cities, he’s in the nether, he’s got netherite . somehow maxxes out all his gear before anyone can blink (says he doesnt take it seriously but he acc does)

ezio: making huge farms. like, huge enough to make the server lag type farms. mob grinders are his SHIT. iron farms, mob farms, anything farms. tries to start a roleplay and everyone ignores him

connor: playing normally. likes to find villages to go and trade, probably taking it at a normal pace. doesnt rly care for netherite. is content with half iron, half diamond armour

jacob: dies in a lava pool within 5 mins and quits . comed back five days later and gets annoyed everyone else is ahead and he’s got nothing so he rage quits again

evie: similar to connor, but she actually wants to get netherite. shes probs a try hard too icl, loves speedrunning and doing mlgs and insane tricks. jacob claps for her each time

arno: likes to build things, not houses, more like shops and statues. steals all the blocks from altaïr’s chest to make them tho, so altaïr ends up using shulker boxes instead.

bayek: walks into a cave upon spawning and gets trapped so he logs off forever

basim: gets banned within the first 10 minutes

edward: drowns 6 times bc he doesnt know how to swim in mc so he just starts blowing up everyones bases bc hes annoyed and bored. arno, basim, evie, connor get annoyed so they kill edward until he logs off. they spawn trap him

haytham: doesn’t join

Don't know why I wanna see this happen but I do.

Everyone would think he was a POE and try to capture him. But he has potions, enchantments and the ability to teleport via enderpearl. You cannot contain him.

He is the man of blocks!

Desmond played Minecraft on his free time. It was something to do when he wasn’t working.

It was simple and there was this… sense of freedom.

The only goal to take note of while playing was whatever Desmond aimed to do.

He only played solo though. He had no problem playing with other people but there wasn’t… there wasn’t anybody to play with.

He didn’t mind.

It was relaxing, being the only player in a vast world.

He could do whatever he wanted, only limited by the constraint of the game itself.

Minecraft was a way to relax.

A way to feel like he had more control over his life, even if it was just for a few hours during his day offs.

He never expected this to happen.

“Desmond…”

Desmond already felt like he was getting a headache thanks to the high-pitched tone of Shaun’s voice.

“Did you build a house?!”

Desmond sighed and rubbed his face as he mumbled, “Yeah, kinda.”

“Kinda? We left you alone for an hour!” Shaun sputtered, waving his hands over the small cabin-like structure that was now stationed in what used to be the back garden of the Auditore Villa. Shaun turned to face Lucy as he shouted in a panicky tone, “Why would you let him do this?!”

“He shouldn’t be able to!” Lucy tried to defend herself, “I told him to take a break while you and Rebecca were going on a supply run! Shaun! Look!”

She pointed at the cabin as she said, “There’s no way Desmond could have build this in an hour!”

“It wasn’t there before!” Shaun reminded her.

“Why does it look so familiar?” Rebecca mumbled as she rubbed her chin.

Desmond sighed, “Look, I get it, okay. Give me 5 minutes and I’ll clean it all up.”

Desmond didn’t wait for them to say anything and walked towards the cabin. He stared at his confused team and just…

… smacked one of the blocks of the cabin.

It disappeared in thin air.

And Desmond got a notification that he received a block of concrete.

Their jaws slacked when they noticed the sudden disappearance of exactly 1 cubic meter from where Desmond had smacked the cottage. They continued to be frozen in shock as Desmond started smacking the cabin, making it disappear one cubic meter at a time.

Once the entire cabin had disappeared and Desmond was busy checking his inventory, he heard Rebecca said, “What the fuck.”

That was Desmond’s line when he accidentally smacked the wall in Mario’s study on his way out.

He just shrugged.

He also did not know why he was able to play Minecraft in real life.

All he knew was…

He had a feeling he got this ‘power’ after he was hit by the light that erupted from the Apple in Altaïr’s memories.

To make these bar chart race, all series titles in the VIdeo Games Category on December 21 (or the closest date to it) of every year were copy-pasted from Wayback Machine to Google Sheets, rearranged according to number of fanworks, and then inputted to Flourish to turn into a bar chart race. November 2022 is based on November 14, 2022 data.

The Walking Dead & Related Fandoms was actually in the top 10 in 2015-2018, but has been removed from the Video Game category in 2022. It is now tagged only with the TV Show category, but does not appear in its list of fandoms. Works tagged with it show up in The Walking Dead (TV) tag.

In 2011, Dragon Age: Origins disappeared from the Video Games category and its page redirected to "Dragon Age", which was not in the list of fandoms before that year. It was added back to the list the next year, however.

Ivalice Alliance was actually in top 10 from 2010-2012, but was removed from the VIdeo Game category list in 2015 onwards. Its page now redirects to Final Fantasy XII.

i was gonna come in here with a Really Cool crossover idea w/ another game i've been playing recently, but then i realized i've only been playing minecraft (other than ac), which then led me to the idea of all the assassin's creed charas on a server together, and then i realized that the Normal, Logical thing would be for it to be a modern au, but the Hilarious and Chaotic option would be if it was, instead, that the server just. magically exists in all time periods. there's been weirder Isu BS before, i'm sure.

Man, can you just imagine this though?

The Gray is a vast empty space. It’s boring.

So when Desmond and Clay got stuck in it because Juno has a sick sense of ‘reward’, that bitch, they’re about to go crazy when they see something pop into existence.

It’s Altaïr just the way he looked when he had gotten married to Maria.

Altaïr had sorta-kinda maybe been fiddling with this little coin-like thing to get away from the mountain of paperwork that needed his attention because he had just been hopping all around the nearby area with his then-sorta-girlfriend-sorta-we’re-not-labeling-it before finally returning to Masyaf. They found the coin in one of the hidden rooms in Alamut. The Assassins there just sent it to ask if maybe Altaïr could figure out if it’s related to the Apple or not.

And Desmond and Clay are like “Isu bullshit?” “(nods) Isu bullshit.”

They try different things out and figure out that Altaïr could create small blocks of white light if he rubs the coin.

And he disappears when he drops the coin.

He visits again a few minutes later and they realize that rubbing the coin in ‘the real world’ transfers him to the Gray and he returns to the real world if he drops it here in the Gray.

They experiment some more. They learn time does not pass if Altaïr stays in the Gray and he can’t take any item with him to the Gray nor can he drop anything he already has.

Altaïr: If that’s true then why am I still wearing my clothes?

Desmond: Isu bullshit.

Altaïr: Are we truly making that the excuse for everything we cannot explain?

Desmond: Clay…

Clay: We believe that your real body isn’t being transferred here, it’s your mind. And it’s your mind that’s telling this place that you need clothes so you get clothes.

Desmond: In other words: Isu Bullshit.

Altaïr: (stares at Desmond for a moment before turning to look at Clay) He’s going to say that every time he thinks it’s too much of a pain to explain things, isn’t he?

Clay/Desmond: Yeah/Yup.

By the time Ezio ‘visits’ the Gray, they’re halfway on their way into making their first ‘home’ because what else are they supposed to do with Altaïr’s block-making coin anyway?

Ezio has so many questions and Desmond just goes “help us with this and we’ll talk”.

By the time Ratonhnhaké:ton gets there, they’ve just finished creating the walls of Monteriggioni and he had to play third vote as to what their main home would look like: Villa Auditore or Masyaf Fortress.

Ratonhnhaké:ton (at this point used to the weirdness because of Juno’s whole ‘drink this drug so we can communicate’ thing with the crystal skull) just shrugs and went “why not just combine the two?”

Edward was pretty sure he was sooooo drunk he was dreaming the first time he got there. So when these weird men ask him what he wanted to build, he went “My ship!” and proceeded to give them a rough description of his ship before dropping his coin because he was SO drunk.

The next time he got there, he was definitely sober and absolutely confused why he needed to build the Jackdaw in what he assumed to be the afterlife or purgatory.

All he got was “We already started it so we’re finishing it. This was your idea, drunk or not. You’re helping!”

When Arno got there, he was greeted by a ‘oh my god my eyes!’ glowing walled town that he can walk into. At the edge of the walled town stood a large fortress.

… Arno is SO confused right now.

When he entered the fortress, there was a large training ring with a castle keep up ahead that leads… to a mansion… with a forest behind it???

… And there was a ship in the middle of it.

The glowing walled town had a forest AND a ship as well???

Arno is so confused and his confusion only grows when he is greeted by a heated debate by two Assassins he was sure were cosplaying as the two great mentors of the Brotherhood (just how drunk was he right now???) about what to build next.

A chill dude sees him and says, “Why don’t we just get the new guy to pick our next project?”

And that is how the Gray starts the development of the courtyard of Versailles on the empty space to the left of the glowing town of…

Desmond: Monteyafport.

Altaïr: We are not calling it that.

Ratonhnhaké:ton: This place doesn’t even have anything from the Davenport Homestead?

Clay: Well, you picked the forest near your village, not Davenport Homestead. That’s on you, buddy.

By the time Evie and Jacob find their way to the Gray, Jacob is pretty sure he’s going to be blind any time soon, and Evie…

Evie lets out a loud squeaking sound and grabbed her brother’s arm so tight he shouts, making everyone look at them.

In the end, they decided to add Big Ben next to the villa. (“And a pub!” “Yes, Jacob. You and Arno can renovate one of the houses in town to be a pub.”)
