It takes Tony three tries to finally admit to Steve that he has slept with both Barnes and Wilson. Individually. Back in days of yore when he was known to be a loose canon.

In his defense, he was high and in mourning for the first. That and he didn't even know it was the fucking Winter Soldier he was riding relentlessly through his clouded mind. At least not until years decades later when Romanoff told him ", hey your parents didn't die in a car accident and here's the guy who was brainwashed into killing them". It was morbid how fast Tony recognised him as the man who he got high and sly with and not as Hydra's darling puppet.

With Wilson it was a little more complicated. It had been him doing last minute check on the wings for the Falcon project. It had been him, young and aching to prove himself to the big leagues, versus this cock-sure newbie with a sharp tongue. He'd been down on his knees before nightfall.

Now, he loves Steve. He loves him soft and tender, and also like a raging fire storm.

But god damn it, he also yearns for Sam's heated, knowing gaze travelling down his back. He aches for Barnes and his cold, sharp eyes digging into his skin.

He thinks it's selfish.

He thinks it could be because he's still a spoiled rich brat under all the glitz and glamour.

"So you and Sam? And Bucky?"

Tony nods. It took him three tries but he finally spilled the tea. Or rather a generous amount of spiced curry all over the carpet.

"Do they know?"

"Yeah. Wilson, he ah... We didn't exchange names, but... Yeah, a goatee and age don't make much of a disguise."

"And Buck?"

"He does. Now. But he didn't remember until you know-" B.A.R.F. he doesn't add. Seems like an off-putting word to utter in this situation.

"Right."

They sit on the opposite ends of the bed. And Tony lets him mull over his thoughts.

Whatever he wants, Tony will try his best to give it to him. Space. Apology. Time. Comeuppance.

Whatever.

Tony loves Steve that much.

Only, Steve doesn't ask for any of those things.

What he asks for instead is:

"Can I watch?"

Well...

He does love Steve that much.

A new sculpture! Finally... But just not exacltly like my mind vision lol.. #Also it's like... wow... someone with face spots and elf ears and a half open mouth with a gap tooth and wavy hair and kind of downturned #eyes... revolutionary... never been seen before... every sculpture I have ever made surely doesnt look licherally exactly like this... LOL #but maybe it's just a style. so what. People have their motifs lol.. Im just getting back into sculpting. I shall sameface in peace. huzzah #Just like the only thing I ever carve out of avocado pits anymore is eyes. Because that's just whats fun to do. I'm going to accumulate lik #25 similar avocado eyes and have nothing to do with them. I was thinking of stringing some together into a necklace of eyes or something li #like that but.. hrmm... you mention battles usually being an honorable thing. do deaths still happen in them purposefully or is that highly frowned on? what about accidents? do clans have laws or procedures when these things happen?

Deaths in battles are HIGHLY frowned on and a sign something is very wrong.

It doesn't even need to be a death-- mauling is also forbidden. You do NOT harm someone who is trying to flee.

Though accidents happen, in order for the Law of Honor to be respected, both combatants must be 1. Fighting fairly, and 2. Be willing to admit defeat. A warrior could be as gentle as possible-- but if their opponent REFUSES to run despite being clearly bested, it becomes a matter of self defense.

So when a Clan needs the patch of territory to make it through winter, or has to forage for herbs in some place, suddenly, it is not a fair fight. ThunderClan may be within its rights to challenge over Sunningrocks, but in Fall just before the salmon run? When RiverClan needs both sides of the river? There will be deaths.

As-is, there are currently no laws or procedures for dealing with these situations, besides cats who have broken the code being punished by their leaders.

There is an incentive to do this though-- Clans who don't live by the code will be attacked more often, and lose trading rights. Of course... that depends on if the Clan in question actually cares about having relations damaged.

TGED Novel Comparison

Look, I like the Webtoon adaptation with all its humor or exaggerated meme expression, but I love the details in the novel even more. Like, this part where we get to see Javier's devotion to protect Lloyd:

Like, he's so down and ready to go take the elves life to safe Lloyd 😭 The utter concern and worry from Javier side described in the novel is just * chef kiss * There's so much moments of heartfelt and tenderness that got skipped in the Webtoon (like the baron dad going on a makeshift picnic with his son), though understandable. Honestly, the vibe between the novel and webtoon are pretty different, how Lloyd does things changed a bit but both medium are enjoyable!

Why are you doing this? Well anyone who read a discord message from me from July-December 2022 knows that the Teammate Situation™ is both the best and worst thing to happen to me as a Pierresteban girlie. I thought we should get in as many fics as we can before this shit really starts off!
