My order from the lovely team at @shiftythrifting arrived today ! The pin is even cuter than I'd hoped, and has been lovingly added to my pin board.

I had a ton of fun opening it and finding the extra goodies inside, both the bubble mailer itself and tucked behind the backing board of the pin ! Might have to try one of the recipes, maybe both 👀

The Neopets card was a huge flashback, too, I gotta see if I still have my old ones !

For any longtime fandom people, I just ran across Maciej Ceglowski aka Pinboard guy saying he supports J.K. Rowling's views and that people are "required to pretend J.K. Rowling hates transgender people"

As someone who has paid Pinboard hundreds of dollars over the years to archive like ten thousand fandom links, I'm pretty devastated by this. Fortunately, Pinboard inadvertently broke my entire archive last year (and then didn't respond to my email about it), so I'm slightly less upset than I'd be if it was still intact. But still, what a heartbreak.

I saw this, btw, because someone linked him to my article rounding up the many, many major moments of transphobia that Rowling has had. I hope very sincerely he reads them and realizes what he's supporting when he says things like this.

On a similar vein, if i like a prompt on pinboard and want to write it, what should I do?

If you like a prompt on the Pinboard and want to claim it, click the blue title of the prompt: it's a link to the prompt on AO3! Then click the "claim" button on AO3 and the prompt will be added to your claims. Claiming the prompt through AO3 will make it easy to find later when you have written a fill and want to link it to the prompt—it will show up when you go through the "New Work" page on AO3.

If you click the Pinboard link and it's broken, then it's possible that prompt was deleted off of AO3 by the prompter for some reason. In that case, you can claim this placeholder prompt instead.
