when will people understand that sex and gender don’t equate to pronouns.

afab doesn’t mean that person is a woman, nor does it mean they use she/her pronouns.

same goes for amab being a man with he/him pronouns.

as a trans man, i sometimes read afab fics because i am afab. the amount of times the pronouns aren’t stating beforehand is staggering. seeing she/her everytime is a slap in the face.

i should be grateful that people are willing to write fan fiction for the characters i want to read, but please. they/they is more inclusive than you think.

I went to the dermatologist today.

Them: oh good, you’re on birth control, don’t want to become pregnant while on this

Them, a minute later: are you sexually active?

Me: no

Them: *gives me a disbelieving glance*

Me: *confused and mad they don’t believe me, but anxiety kicks in and I can’t do anything*

So, I’m a sex-repulsed ace nonbinary person that has PCOS and am on birth control to regulate my hormone levels because I had really bad periods and attempt to help with my gender dysphoria.

If you’re a health provider and you have somebody that’s taking birth control, please remember that there are many many reasons that they might be taking, not just for preventing pregnancy.

I was kind of upset and felt invalidated. It’s hard feeling like your provider doesn’t believe you.

Very interesting (concerning) that while there’s a general consensus of “of course there’s queer Muslims and Jews and Christians we love them!” But that love is conditional. You can be religious but not too religious. You can be spiritual as long as it’s not actually that important to you. You can be observant of your religion’s dogma and traditions as long as you keep it away from everybody else.

But I don’t want to cut myself into smaller pieces. I don’t want to take a part of my life and culture and being and hide it away behind closed doors. It’s just…hypocritical and disappointing when people, who clamor about their love for the contradictory and self-authentic, hate when they’re confronted with it.
