CINDY LOU WHO. cedric diggory
( master list )
IN WHICH… Y/N L/N helps her crush and longtime best friend, Cedric Diggory, get with another girl. Deep down, she knows she’ll never be the bright and bubbly girl Cedric wants. She’ll always be the cunning snake with a knack for starting fights.
“Cindy Lou is bright, bubbly, and extraordinary… she’s everything I’m not.”
A/N: I do take requests so feel free to ask for one :). I mainly write for Maze Runner, Harry Potter, PJO, and Hunger Games
Guess you make him happy like I couldn't do. Cindy Lou Who. With your hair so long, lips so red. Maybe we met once, I forget
Tumblr media
Scrolling five years back, I'm obsessed. Breaking my heart, 'tis the season, I guess. The snow's gonna fall and the tree's gonna glisten. And I'm gonna puke at the thought of you kissin'
“The boy who I love who's now in love with you. Cindy Lou Who.”
Y/N sighed as she impatiently checked her watch and tapped her foot against the stone floor. It was almost curfew and Cedric was still a no show. The rules were less strict now that school was done, but Y/N had a reputation to live up to. It was the least she could do with all the trouble she had caused this year.
“Y/N.” Cedric jogged towards her, looking out of breath. She arched an eyebrow and her gaze scanned his untidy uniform.
“… Do I even want to ask?” She questioned.
“Ah.” Cedric sheepishly smiled, “My friends and I were playing hide and seek. It was a pretty intense game.” Even during his senior years, Cedric was still the bright-eyed kid Y/N had grown up with.
“Right. Well, why did you want to see me? You know how I don’t like going out before curfew.” Y/N folded her arms over her chest, “Plus, you’re late.” She quickly added.
“I know. I’m sorry about that. I just had to grab this.” Cedric pulled out a black box, smiling. He carefully opened it, showing the necklace to Y/N. “Do you recognize the crystal?” He questioned, making Y/N scoff.
“Of course I do. It’s my birth month crystal. (Insert crystal).”
Cedric grinned. “You still know so much more about gems than me. You should’ve been put in Ravenclaw.”
“Oh, please. If I was put there, I would be sleeping in the hallways. I can’t figure out riddles.”
Cedric playfully nudged her with his elbow. “Don’t say that. You’re smart.”
The pair walked beside each other as the moonlight shone through the cracks of the castle. Cedric had slipped the necklace box back into his pocket and he gently cleared his throat.
“I’m going to give the necklace to Cho.” He suddenly blurted out, causing Y/N to pause. She looked over her shoulder at Cedric, wondering if he was joking. He wasn’t.
“Why? She’s your ex.” Y/N felt mildly disappointed that the necklace wasn’t for her. For the longest time, she had been holding onto her feelings for Cedric. Everybody could see it; the Golden trio, the teachers, even Draco’s posse. And yet Cedric had never caught on. She was starting to wonder if he was just messing with her.
“She helped me through a lot. I owe it to her.” Cedric smiled. Y/N gazed at him before she nodded.
“Okay… I’m guessing you want my help?”
“Yes. Please.” Cedric was ready to get on his knees and beg. Though, he was sure Y/N would find great amusement in that. She had always been a little sadistic.
Y/N briefly looked away, blinking away small tears and recollecting her composure so her voice wouldn’t crack. “What do you want me to do?”
edric had wanted to meet Cho at the black late, which was where he and Y/N usually hung out. That stung.
Y/N tied the last of the heart-shaped balloons before securing them to a nearby tree. Cedric was pacing around, wildly muttering under his breath.
“Will you relax?” The Slytherin girl piped up, rolling her eyes. “You’re making me feel nervous.”
“I can’t help it.” Cedric replied. Of course, nobody could help but feel anxious around Cho Chang. She was beautiful and smart and kind. Y/N had talked to her a few times, and if she were a guy or lesbian, Cho would be her crush too.
“Well, that’s the last of the balloons. Good luck, Ced. I’ll be nearby if you need help. Just don’t expect me to hug you if she rejects you.” Y/N playfully punched her friend’s shoulder. Cedric boyishly grinned and quickly embraced her.
For a moment, Y/N was speechless. She slowly hugged him back and awkwardly patted him. She could smell his expensive cologne and it almost felt Cedric was confessing to her instead.
Y/N was the first to pull away. She wished Cedric luck once more before hurrying off, her heart pounding in her chest. She felt envious of Cho. Y/N had been by Cedric’s side since day one. She had comforted him and supported him and hid her breaking heart when Cedric admitted to liking Cho the first time.
And now it was all happening again.
Y/N hid behind a tree just in time to see Cho walk out of Hogwarts and make a beeline for Cedric. She watched as they conversed and when Cedric showed Cho the necklace, she jumped with joy.
Y/N let out a small sigh. She pressed her lips into a thin line, accepting that she wasn’t the girl Cedric would ever go for. She wondered that if they weren’t childhood friends, would Cedric still be nice to her?
She was a Slytherin. A somewhat mean one with a soft spot for certain people. She started too many fights to count, and the threat of expulsion was always hanging over her head.
She wasn’t Cho Chang, who was pretty like the starry night shining above the calm ocean. Cho Chang was kind, sweet, and loving.
Cho Chang was Cindy Lou and Y/N was the Grinch with no room in her heart to change.
The next time Y/N saw Cedric, he was by Cho’s side. Y/N usually sat at the Hufflepuff table with Cedric, much to some people’s dismay, but today Cho was with him.
Y/N didn’t feel welcomed at that point so she sat with her friends, completely missing the way Cedric gazed over at her in confusion.
“Ah, Cedric Diggory and Cho Chang. Everybody’s favorite couple has finally reunited.” Ivy, a pale-skinned girl with light freckles lining her cheeks and soft silver hair grimaced as she sarcastically spoke.
“It’s a shame you never dated Diggory, Y/N. You guys were perfect together.” Hime sighed as she poured herself a cup of pumpkin juice. She offered to fill Y/N’s glass as well, but the H/C-haired girl declined.
“Boys are always stupid.” Evan, short for Evangeline, piped up. “He doesn’t know what he’s missing. I agree with Hime. He should’ve gone for Y/N.”
Y/N silently ate as she listened to her friends complain about Cedric, probably in an attempt to make her feel better.
“Has anybody noticed how he keeps looking over here?” Hime questioned, whispering quietly. “Chang never seems to have his attention for long.”
“I’m telling you, Diggory secretly likes Y/N but he’s scared she’ll reject him. So he’s playing it safe and going for an ex who he knows he had chemistry with.” Ivy retorted, sparing another glance at Cedric.
Y/N huffed in amusement. “Where did you come up with that?” She spoke for the first time.
“It’s obvious.” Evan backed up Ivy’s theory. “When he wins a Quidditch game, who does he run to? You. When he needs help with homework, who does he find? You. When he wants to go to Hogsmeade, who does he immediately ask?”
Evan arched an eyebrow while Y/N sighed.
“Me.”
“Exactly!”
“It’s a plausible theory.” Hime uttered. “You two have been friends for ages. He’s close friends with Hermione Granger too, but does he hug her and look at her like he does to you?”
“That’s probably because she’s younger and he doesn’t want to end up with a sentence.”
“Good point. What about Floral over there?” Hime nodded over at the Ravenclaw girl who was always arranging flowers or reading about them. Her name wasn’t Floral but everyone called her that and it stuck. “You three are all friends, right?”
“More like I was forced to befriend her, but sure.”
“Diggory doesn’t look at her the way he looks at you.”
“And how does he look at me?”
Ivy slammed her hands on the table, looking like she had been waiting years for this question. “He looks at you like Jack Dawson looks at Rose. He looks at you like Chuck Bass looks at Blair Waldorf. He looks at you like Luke looks at Lorelei. Like Morticia and Gomez, Bella and Edward, uh.. give me another one!”
“Percy and Annabeth?” Evan suggested.
“Yes! That’s how he looks at you. He’s giving you the I wouldn’t want anybody else by my side look. He’s probably just… confused. You’re like his Cindy Lou Who. You make him happy and you bring out the best in him.”
“Cindy Lou is bright, bubbly, and extraordinary… she’s everything I’m not.” Y/N gestured over to Cho, who was giggling with Cedric. “Cho Chang is more like Cindy Lou.”
“Cindy Lou Who has a nice ring to it.” Evan said, off topic.
Y/N nodded in agreement. “It does. The rhyme is satisfying.”
“Enough about language features! You have to get your man back, Y/N.” Ivy intensely stared at Y/N, determined to get Cedric and her together.
“He was never mine to begin with.”
“Then make him yours! Come on, Y/N, you’re beautiful- no. Gorgeous. And sure, you have a bitter side but guys who can’t deal getting a little burnt aren’t worth it. And I know that you burnt Diggory over and over again, with both your anger and literal fire.”
“Just so we’re clear, the fire thing was an accident. And I don’t want to force anything onto Cedric. I’ll just… go with the flow.” Y/N ate the last of her food and stood up, “I need to wrap presents. Don’t you dare try and sneak in to see your’s.”
Y/N was mainly referring to Ivy, who lifted her hands in surrender.
Again, Y/N failed to notice how Cedric’s eyes trailed to her. But Cho saw it.
“Cedric.” The raven-haired beautify tugged on his sleeve, “Can we talk?” She spared Cedric’s friends a look. “Alone?”
“Uh, yeah, sure.”
The pair walked off, fully aware of how Y/N’s friends were watching them closely.
“What did you want to talk about?” Cedric questioned, tilting his head to the side.
“I don’t want to assume anything, Cedric. But to me, it seems like you only confessed to me again to play it safe. I can tell that your true feelings don’t lie with me.” Cho glanced at Y/N, who exited a nearby bathroom and was too busy drying her hands to notice the couple. “They lie with her.”
Cedric followed Cho’s gaze, softly staring at Y/N with that damned look of adoration.
“I think someone else deserves this necklace.” Cho gently removed the jewellery, handing it over to Cedric. “Face it, you love her. You always have. You can’t try to love me, Cedric, not when Y/N exists.”
“She doesn’t like me back.” Cedric muttered, grasping the necklace.
“Are you sure?” Cho quirked an eyebrow. “Why do you think she stayed by your side for so long? Even when the other Slytherins teased her, even when you two argued, even when you kissed me in front of her. How could you not notice, Cedric? She brings you drinks after quidditch practice and buys you gifts and even stays at Hogwarts so you aren’t lonely. Why do you think she never dated anybody, Cedric? It’s because you were the one she wanted.”
Cedric shook his head. “No. She doesn’t like me. Y/N is smart and amazing and cunning. I’m not her type. Her type would be someone like…” He paused, thinking, “Matteo Riddle.”
Cho sighed as she shook her head. “You really have no idea, do you? Spend more time with Y/N and hopefully you’ll notice the things the rest of us do.”
She quietly walked off, leaving Cedric standing outside the Great Hall. Cho made an immediate beeline for Ivy, Evan, and Hime and sat in Y/N’s spot.
The trio clad in green glanced at her, confused and a little hostile.
“Cedric likes Y/N.” Cho quickly uttered so the group didn’t explode on her. “I got through to him but he thinks Y/N doesn’t like him back.”
“Thats bullshit. It’s so obvious!” Ivy groaned.
“Exactly.” Evan agreed, “But Y/N doesn’t think Cedric likes her either.”
Cho sighed. “It’s obvious they have mutual feelings but neither of them believe it. So, let’s force them to confess.”
Hime raised an eyebrow. “Don’t you like Cedric? Why are you willing to help us?”
“Despite our dating history, Cedric is still my friend. And I want to help him in any way I can.” Cho smiled.
“Oh, I have an idea!” Ivy exclaimed, “What if we get them under the mistletoe? But instead, they have to fight! We can call it mistlefoe!”
Cho, Hime, and Evan exchanged looks.
“I think we should just stick to mistletoe.” Cho uttered. “We could, uh, surprise them by decorating one of their common rooms? The Slytherin room is never decorated, right?”
“I wish it was.” Evan sighed, “It’s a cute idea. We could surprise Y/N by decorating the common room and then led her in and Cedric can be standing in the middle of the room under the mistletoe.”
“But to pull that off, we’ll need more help.” Hime added, “I don’t think four people can do that. And it’s only us in the Slytherin common room. Not even Matteo is here. So he can’t help.”
Cho glanced past Hime and Ivy, staring at the Golden Trio and their extended group of friends. She smiled. “I have an idea. But it’s going to involve working with Gryffindors.”
The group of Slytherins all glanced at each other before they shrugged in unison.
“Anything for Y/N.”
“Whatever.”
“Do I get to kiss Oliver Wood after Diggory and Y/N kiss?”
Cho, Evan, and Hime stared at Ivy, who only cheekily grinned.
“Um… I’m not sure about that last one. Let’s just start off with asking the Gryffindors first.” Cho sheepishly smiled.
“Ivy and I will get the decorations.” Hime offered, “There’s some extra ones in the basement if Hogwarts too. Evan, Chang, you can get those after you ask the Gryffindors.”
“Call me Cho.” The ravenette smiled before she stood up. “We don’t have much time. Let’s hurry.”
“Wait, we forgot something.” Ivy piped up, “Who’s going to distract Y/N?”
“Evan can distract L/N. I’ll ask the Gryffindors myself and if they accept, they can help me get the decorations from the basement.”
“Okay.” Hime looked around, slowly nodding. She smiled. “Let’s go.”
Cho approached the red table while Hime and Ivy hurried towards Hogsmeade and Evan rushed off to find Y/N.
It took a few hours for everything to be set up, but finally the Slytherin room was decorated and ready.
“I need to get something. I’ll be back.” Evan smiled, lying through her teeth. She watched as Y/N entered the Slytherin common room and rushed off to find her friends.
Y/N squinted her eyes as she walked into the dark room. “Huh? Ivy? Hime? You here? What did you do to the lights?” Nobody answered her. She tilted her head to the side, confused.
The lights suddenly turned on, along with multiple Christmas LED lights. She quietly gasped as she stared at the tinsel covered stairs and brightly decorated tree.
In all her years at Hogwarts, the common room had never been decorated. Slytherins weren’t exactly big on Christmas.
Y/N looked around, realizing she wasn’t alone. “Cedric?” She stared at the brunette boy. “What are you doing here? Have you seen Ivy or Hime? I can’t seem to find them anywhere.”
Cedric silently looked up. Y/N, puzzled, followed his gaze. She lifted her head, staring up at the floating mistletoe above her head. “Oh.” She whispered.
She looked at Cedric again, jumping when he was only a foot away.
“I’m sorry if I ever hurt you, Y/N.” He uttered, “I should’ve noticed.”
“Noticed what?”
Cedric didn’t say anything as he leaned forward to softly kiss her. Y/N froze, her heart almost leaping out of her chest.
“Y/N,” Cedric pulled away and brushed a strand of loose hair aside, “You’ll always be my Cindy Lou.”

Dumb Krum … I love you too
Viktor Krum x Malfoy! Fem! Reader, Fred Weasley x Malfoy! Fem! Reader
Part 2/??
SERIES MASTERLIST
TW: english is not my first language
———-
The atmosphere got a bit melancholic “I hope I will make the cut. Karakoff said it would be just 12 people right?” You asked you best friend. When Viktor looked at you again you shivered. “Oh are you cold again?” He asked after he saw you. You shook your head. It was getting colder at Durmstrang, but you weren’t feeling cold. Somehow you couldn’t understand your feelings and actions at all. Maybe you were just overwhelmed by everything that is happening right now. With Triwizard tournament around the corner you came to age to compete. You and Vik celebrated yours birthdays after the World Cup, not long after that an announcement was made that only 12 students will come to Hogwarts for the tournament, only those who will pass the tryouts and are of age. And on top of all that you had so many classes and exams. Not mentioning that you tutored Viktor in almost every subject. His training with the Quidditch team took almost all of his time. “Y/n!” You jolted in your chair. “That’s it!” Viktor got up and scooped you up, throwing you on the bed. You yelped in surprise, eyes wide and heart racing. What was happening? Then you were buried under your blanket. You looked shocked. Viktor started laughing. “You knov? If you are cold you should have said so!“ you both burst out laughing. “What was that?” You asked him. “You vere cold! I hate to break it to you but as much as I vould like to take care of you again, ve have a triwizard tournament to attend.” It was true that in the past 7 years when you were sick he tried to make you fit in no time. Honestly you weren’t the most adaptable for the weather here. “Yeah we do.” You muttered burring your face in the soft blanket. “Does your father know?” He asked after a moment when he watched you. The two of you sat across each other. You on the foot of the bed and he on lay down back against headboard. “No, it’s better not to tell him I want to compete.” You said truthfully. You were scared to get another howler. One time it came right during dinner. Talk about embarrassment. And what was the howler about? Yes it was bloody potions. Viktor then made an surprised face, as if he just remembered something. “Oh it’s so late already?” He looked at your clock on the table. “We should get some sleep. Better for the tryouts.” You nodded. “You are awfully quiet today. Vhat happened?” Viktor give you his full attention. When you locked eyes with him your words left your throat. “Um-I” you fake-cough “I think I am just overwhelmed about the whole deal. And I would see my brother on daily basis not to mention my family will be so clo-.” He grabbed your shoulders and pulled you into his chest. After a while his scent made you relaxed. “For someone vho can kick ass of older and more experienced wizard you do stress about vrong things sometimes.” You both started laughing and you honestly felt better. “And you know I vill be coming too.” You slapped his chest playfully. “I bet I will be better.” He smirked “I bet I vill be faster!” You both then started to play fight each other. Pillows, blankets, feathers were flying everywhere. In a fit of laughter you both just enjoyed that moment.
You didn’t even blinked and you were getting ready for the tryouts. Putting you hair in high sleek ponytail and checking yourself in a mirror. Today was extremely chilly so you wore your favorite sweater on top of you uniform. This sweater was your favorite because Viktor got it for you last year as a gift. It wasn’t even your birthday. You sighed and marched out the door. When you came to the dueling grounds you noticed how many students just came. Not just to watch, but to the tryouts itself. Karakoff arrived shortly after you with a boom. The door flowed open an with a speed in his steps he made his presence known. “Students!” He yelled heavy accent in his tone. “The tryouts will be made out of 4 tests!” Not going to lie it was far less then you expected. “First test will be getting rid of opponent. Keep in mind that unfortunately unforgivable curses are banned from the tournament” said the principal rather angry. The test itself was easy. There was a mannequin in front of the student and you had to strike it down. The longer the distance the more points you will get. You saw some students who Karakoff personally disqualified after their poor attempts. You weren’t nervous. This was your thing and you were really good at it. “Next is Mr Kalsir!” Called Karakoff one of the boys in a year above. His hand was shaking slightly and when he made the casting he chose for it to be silent. Not bad but because his stance was of he fell as well. “Weak! Disqualified!” Yelled Karakoff. “Next, Mr Krum!” You silently wished him luck and Viktors name was cheered on and on. He got the mannequin at the end of the room! Very impressive. He was first to do that! “We can work with that.” Muttered Karakoff and Viktor went to few students who passed. He looked at you cheering you on as you name was called. “Miss Mal-“ before even the principal said your name you chanted “BOMBARDA MAXIMA!” With a massive explosion the mannequin came through a wall of the dueling grounds. Good thing that the mannequin was enchanted to be indestructible. Karakoff looked at you and nodded “You are going to the next test.” He said and you happily went to the small group of students. You smiled proudly the whole time. Some students even tried to copy you. No one making it as grand as you.
“Next test will be including mental strength.” Karakoff said in strong voice. Giving each student a wooden cube. You looked at the principal with confusion. “The faster you open the cube the better chance to go to next round. You started to take the cube apart when you remembered so many memories. The good ones and the bad ones. The intense flow of information overwhelming your mind. You were on the verge of tears when you remembered the last howler and you father scolding you all summer. Tired and overwhelmed you pulled out your wand and said “inscendio!” The cube catching in fire and then making a blue fire. When the cube turned to ash you saw pieces of dementors cloaks and seeds of young chamenia. Dementors clothes are highly contagious of bad aura and used in many negative potions. Chamenia was mainly used here as a booster because it’s smell can transfer many spiritual energy. This was clever. You were glad you passed and were ready to next test.
“Only 19 of my students left. It can be better! Listen!” Karakoff announced. “You will each get a broom and your goal is to catch most of the fairy lights.” When he said that all of you got a broom. You mounted and when you got a signal you took of. Viktor was excellent at this. It was right his alley. You struggled a little bit while making sharp turns. Ignoring all the comments of the students. The lights were lively and bounced in the air. When you catched one it followed you everywhere you flew. You were getting cold after sorting though the air. That worsened you form. You just hoped to get enough lights. You managed to be fourth with the most fairy lights. The first was Viktor. You were so proud of him.
“Last will be greeting an animal. Try and tame it or take it down.” Karakoff said when all off the competing students were taken away. You all were sat in a room, where you couldn’t hear a thing. It was just 15 students. You were last to go and greet this animal. When professor Silverbane, your magi zoology teacher, came for you you were prepared. At lest you thought so until you saw a wild Graphorn. How did they even managed to get it? This beast was large and greyish purple with a humped back. His skin tougher then dragons and repelling spells. It has two very long, sharp horns, walks on large, four-thumbed feet, and has an extremely aggressive nature. Mountain trolls can occasionally be seen mounted on Graphorns, though the latter do not seem to take kindly to attempts to tame them and it is more common to see a troll covered in Graphorn scars. You remembered the lessons os professor Silverbane. It’s not common, it was rare blessing if Graphorn befriend a witch or wizard. You saw the beast to look at you. Immediately you dropped on your knees to be same eye level and never left its gaze. It have to attack first and then you would knock it down. The Graphorn huffed and took a step closer. Fierce gaze upon you and then it took of. Moving so fast ready to strike. You managed to step away from its way. Students cheering in a distance. When it made its way towards you another time. Making its horns ready to pierce through you you stood up and didn’t move an inch. The beast stopped and looked at you. In the moment on confusion you fired a spell hoping it would be powerful enough to make it through its thick skin. “Aresto momentum” you said. The beast enraged marched towards you again. But this time it was slower and much sloppier in its movements. You took it as a sign and charged towards the beast. Students making a sounds of shock. You fired the spell again. And the beast stopped completely, falling to the ground. Your legs were shaking. Did you just win? “Good work” was heard from Karakoff after a while followed by a loud cheering. The headmaster of the institute, Karakoff himself gave you a compliment? You should be proud. And you were. The headmaster made official end to the tryouts and read the names who will go with him to Hogwarts to compete. “-and Miss Malfoy.” You were shocked. You actually made it. Some students cheered, some celebrated and some sulked. Feeling so proud you let out a blinding smile, smile so infectious that Viktor and the other students shared it. Today’s mission was accomplished.

Who says Harry isn’t powerful?
Lily’s letter to Sirius mentioned Harry zooming around on his toy broomstick at a year old. I’d say displaying magic at that age is impressive. Plus going on to become the youngest Seeker in a century.
Killing the Basilisk. At age 12! With help from Fawkes, but still! Godric Gryffindor level of combat skills.
Conjuring a stag Patronus at age 13 to fend off a hundred Dementors, when most adult wizards couldn’t even cast an incorporeal one. His ability caused quite an uproar at the Wizengamot later on.
Surviving and WINNING the Triwizard Tournament at age 14. Had help here and there, yes, but Harry walked onto each battlefield alone.
Using Protego masterfully by age 15 that it reflected Snape’s Legilimens spell right back at him. Casting a Shield Charm powerful enough to expand and fill the Great Hall. Many adult wizards have trouble casting a sufficient Protego.
Leading Dumbledore’s Army and improving their DADA skills to significantly above average. Fighting courageously and sustaining the least physical damage at the Department of Mysteries.
Succesfully casting Imperio and completely resisting it. Successfully casting Crucio on his third attempt. Unforgivable curses take powerful magic, said Snape.
And finally, Hogwarts studies - yeah, maybe not top in nearly every subject like Hermione, but getting all Es on exams he wasn’t interrupted during and an O in DADA, outperforming his best friend Ron who grew up in a pure-blood wizarding household. Harry was raised by Muggles. Not the same starting point, and yet Harry ended up slightly surpassing Ron academically with that Outstanding score.
Recognized powerful characters - Marauders generation, certain Death Eaters, the professors - they are at least 20 years Harry’s senior. Being defeated by them does not, at all, make him mediocre. I’m sure that by his 30s, he’d have greatly increased in magical aptitude and solidified his status as one of the most powerful wizards of his generation.

The Durmstrang Champion - Chapter 1
(Ominis Gaunt x f!OC, Sebastian Sallow x f!MC)
◇my bookcase!◇
☆Layla's Character Sheet☆
Summary - The Triwizard Tournament is introduced, and our silver trio meets some interesting new characters
Warnings - suggestive comment
Notes - all characters are of legal age and have been for at least 2 years
Word Count - 2.8K
Sebastian, Ominis, Imelda, Anne, and Emily gathered around the Slytherin table in the Great Hall, engrossed in a lively discussion about their final year at Hogwarts. Imelda, feeling the weight of responsibility as the Quidditch captain, fretted over the urgent task of finding a worthy seeker to replace the one who had graduated the previous year.
Sebastian leaned forward and offered a solution, "Imelda, what if I gave the seeker position a shot? I mean, I could really give it my all."
Imelda stared at Sebastian. "Oh, Sallow, you're better suited as a beater. I don't think switching positions would be wise," she replied firmly.
Emily, discreetly stealing a glance at Sebastian, found herself captivated by the transformation he had undergone in the past couple years. The boyish charm he once possessed had matured into an undeniable manliness, evident in his well-built physique that strained against his uniform. A blush crept onto her cheeks, and she caught Sebastian smirking mischievously, fully aware of her silent admiration.
Ominis chimed in, suggesting an alternative, "Imelda, if you're looking for someone smaller, perhaps you should encourage the second and third years to try out. They might surprise you."
Imelda let out a groan, feeling frustrated by the limited options before her.
As the four friends continue to discuss their options, Headmaster Black takes his spot at the podium and goes on and on about the school rules and warnings. Then he says something which makes all four houses’ tables silent and pay attention to him.
“This castle will not only be your home this year but home to some very special guests as well. You see, Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event: The Triwizard Tournament. This momentous occasion brings together three prestigious schools for a series of exhilarating magical contests. From each institution, a single student will be chosen to represent their school in these extraordinary trials. Let me emphasize this: if selected, you will stand alone. And believe me when I say that these challenges are not for the faint-hearted. Rest assured, we will provide further details on the Triwizard Tournament in due course," he proclaimed, his voice carrying a mixture of excitement and caution. "But for now, let us welcome your fellow classmates for the academic year. Allow me to introduce the esteemed students from Beauxbatons," Headmaster Black announced, his hand gracefully gesturing toward the towering double doors at the far end of the Great Hall.
As the grand double doors swung open, a tall, lanky figure emerged, his stern countenance commanding the attention of all present. Leading a procession of students dressed in elegant pale blue uniforms, he strode down the aisle with unwavering determination. All eyes followed his every step, captivated by his presence. Yet, it was the Beauxbatons students trailing behind him who truly stole the show. Gracefully gliding down the aisle, their movements seemed almost ethereal. On the outer edges of their formation, some students released doves from their sleeves, adding an enchanting touch to their entrance.
Sebastian, Anne, and Emily watched in awe, their gazes fixed on the captivating display. Ominis, his wand held aloft, its tip pulsating with a vibrant red light, skillfully tracked the students' elegant procession. Finally, the Headmaster and his entourage reached the front of the Great Hall, taking their seats on the far side, opposite the Slytherin table, with a graceful bow.
"That was quite the entrance, wouldn't you agree?" Ominis grinned, thoroughly entertained by the performance.
"I'll say..." Sebastian mumbled, his voice filled with admiration.
Expressing his gratitude, Headmaster Black addressed the distinguished figure before him, "Thank you for that extraordinary entrance, Headmaster Delacroix."
In response, Headmaster Delacroix nodded respectfully to Headmaster Black, radiating a sense of authority and dignity. His silvered hair and impeccably maintained beard were testament to his unwavering commitment to tradition and the pursuit of magical excellence. Known for his progressive mindset, he skillfully blended centuries-old values with the demands of the modern world, making Beauxbatons one of the most forward-thinking magical institutions.
"And now," Headmaster Black announced, his voice resounding with anticipation, "it is my pleasure to introduce the brilliant students of Durmstrang and their equally brilliant Headmaster!"
The grand double doors swung open once more, revealing a short, elderly woman with an air of sternness about her. Her thin lips were tightly pursed, displaying her disapproval. However, the attention swiftly shifted as the first Durmstrang student emerged behind her. With long, dark hair cascading down her back, the girl exuded confidence, her expression stoic and unreadable. Her striking, dark eyes captivated all who laid eyes upon her, and she donned a striking short red dress that accentuated her presence.
Sebastian couldn't help but gasp, his reaction escaping him involuntarily.
"What? What happened?" Ominis asked, a hint of concern in his voice.
"N-nothing," Emily stammered, her gaze fixated on the Durmstrang girl. "It's just...she's very beautiful. The girl at the front."
Behind the alluring Durmstrang girl, two more students followed, wielding canes that emitted mesmerizing red sparks upon striking the floor. Behind them, the remaining Durmstrang students marched with impassive expressions, displaying an apparent lack of interest unlike their Beauxbatons counterparts. Upon reaching Headmaster Black, the two students wielding canes lifted their wands to their lips and exhaled a fiery breath. From their enchanting exhales, birds composed of dancing flames emerged, elegantly circling the ceiling before vanishing into thin air. The mesmerizing display left the entire Great Hall in awe.
“Ah, Headmaster Petrova,” Headmaster Black greeted the Durmstrang Headmaster. She held her hand out and he kissed it. She then led all of her students to the other side of where the Beauxbaton students were sitting, right next to the Slytherin table.
Amara, Ominis' new girlfriend, dashed over from her table to join him at the Slytherin table, brimming with excitement. "Wow, wasn't that absolutely amazing? We should definitely go say hello!"
Ominis smiledin agreement. "Sure thing."
"Count me in too!" Emily exclaimed, leaping to her feet. "Their table isn't too far from ours, so we can sneak over in no time."
Amara, Ominis, Emily, and Sebastian ventured towards the Durmstrang students' table. As they drew closer to the group of four girls sitting in close proximity, snippets of their conversation reached their ears.
"That was so nerve-wracking. My hands are still shaking and my heart is pounding," the girl seated on the left of the long-haired girl confessed.
"You didn't even do anything. You just walked at the back," the girl who had been wielding the cane retorted, rolling her eyes.
"Yeah, I know. But still, my hands are still shaking and my heart is pounding so fast," the first girl replied. She then took the long-haired girl's hand and placed it on her left breast.
The long-haired girl's eyes widened, and she quickly pulled her hand back. "Sonia, that's not where your heart is," she scolded her.
"Yeah, it is. Feel," the first girl insisted, seizing the long-haired girl's hand and guiding it back.
Once again, the long-haired girl swiftly withdrew her hand. "Stop it," she hissed. "Your heart is here, stupid," she pointed to her own heart.
Meanwhile, the girl who had been in possession of the cane watched the exchange, barely suppressing her laughter. "Just ignore her, Sonia has no shame," she stifled a giggle.
Sebastian approached the group of girls with effortless charm, his voice smooth as he greeted them. "Hello there," he said with a friendly smile. "We wanted to extend a warm welcome and introduce ourselves." One by one, Ominis, Amara, Emily, and Sebastian introduced themselves to the four girls.
"My name is Cassie," beamed a short, curly-haired blonde. "It's lovely to meet all of you. Are you all as excited about the tournament as we are?"
"I'm Rani," declared the girl who had been holding the cane, firmly shaking everyone's hand. With her straight black hair and tall stature, she exuded a sense of strength and confidence.
"And I'm Sonia," chimed in the girl who had expressed her nervousness earlier. She rose from her seat and extended her hand towards Sebastian. "It's a pleasure to meet you all," she continued, her gaze fixed solely on Sebastian. Sebastian reciprocated with a warm smile, shaking her hand as their eyes locked momentarily.
"Wow, you have quite the firm handshake. Do you happen to play Quidditch?" Sonia flirtatiously inquired, still holding onto Sebastian's hand.
"Yes, actually. I'm a beater," Sebastian replied, seizing the opportunity to showcase his athleticism.
As Sonia and Sebastian engaged in playful banter, Emily started to get more and more annoyed.
After a few moments, Amara turned to the long-haired girl. Blushing slightly, she complimented, "I'm sorry for staring, but you're very beautiful." The girl smiled warmly in response. "Thank you. You're beautiful too," she replied.
Amara's blush deepened. "No, you're absolutely stunning."
"That's enough before her ego inflates," Rani interjected, rolling her eyes.
In that moment, Emily realized that the long-haired girl had never introduced herself. She had remained observant, silently watching the interactions unfold. "I apologize if I missed it, but I don't believe I caught your name," Emily inquired politely.
"Layla," came the girl's response, her voice soft and melodic. There was a mysterious aura about her.
Just as the conversation unfolded, a familiar face approached them. It was the boy who had walked alongside Rani during the Durmstrang entrance, holding the other cane. He approached the group of eight, his voice carrying a sense of urgency. "Layla, Headmaster Petrova wishes to speak with you."
With a graceful gesture, Layla rose from her seat and made her way toward Headmaster Petrova. Rani seized the opportunity to introduce her twin brother to the Hogwarts students. "Everyone, this is Raj," she said. "Raj, meet Sebastian, Ominis, Amara, and Emily."
As the conversation paused momentarily, all eyes were drawn to Layla's departure. Anticipation filled the air as they wondered what the Headmaster wanted. When Layla returned, Rani's curiosity got the better of her. "What did the Headmaster want?" she inquired eagerly.
Layla's response, delivered in a soft voice, left them intrigued. "We can discuss it later," she murmured, her eyes glancing briefly at Emily, who was very interested to know more as well.
Ominis broke the silence, suggesting they make their way back to their seats in preparation for the feast. "It was truly delightful meeting all of you," he said, flashing a warm smile. With that, Ominis led the way, and Sebastian, Amara, and Emily followed suit.
As Emily was leaving, she heard Sonia whisper, “That boy is very cute. His face is too pretty to not be between my legs.” Emily turned back around to glare at Sonia’s words, but accidentally made eye contact with Layla. Layla shot her an apologetic look and mouthed, “Sorry.”
As the students delved into the feast, the grandeur of the Great Hall resonated with an air of anticipation. Headmaster Black, conjured a magnificent goblet in the center of the room, capturing everyone's attention. Flames erupted from within, casting a fiery glow that danced against the night.
Gesturing towards the goblet, Headmaster Black unveiled the rules of the prestigious Triwizard Tournament. The ethereal white ring encircling the goblet served as an impenetrable barrier, allowing only seventh-year students to participate in the competition. It was a daunting yet exhilarating prospect.
If any student wished to represent their school and become a Triwizard Champion, they would need to write their name on a piece of paper and drop it into the goblet. If the name was accepted, the fire would momentarily flash blue, before turning to back a bright red. Students interested had two weeks to enter their names into the goblet. The night following the two weeks, the selected champions from each of the three schools would be announced.
Headmaster Black's voice resounded through the hall, his words a solemn reminder of the gravity of the competition. He cautioned the students once more, emphasizing the binding nature of the magical contract once their names entered the goblet's realm. Dropping out was not an option once fate had been sealed. The champions would face their trials alone, save for the guidance of a mentor from their respective schools. It was a formidable test, and Headmaster Black's next words reminded the students of the seriousness of the competition. He reminded everyone that not only the champions, but also some spectators, in the past have lost their lives due to the tournament.
"I don't know who would be foolish enough to enter their name," Ominis said, clearly trying to deter his friend.
Sebastian leaned back, a mischievous glimmer in his eyes. "Oh, come on, Ominis. There are plenty of reasons someone might want to throw their name into the ring," he retorted, a smirk playing on his lips. His gaze shifted toward the Durmstrang table, where Layla sat. Their eyes locked, and a fleeting smile passed between them, sending Sebastian's heart into a flutter.
"Count me in with Ominis on this one. After the chaos we experienced in our fifth year, I've had my fair share of excitement for a lifetime," Emily chimed in.
After the feast, the trio set off toward their common room. Suddenly, a voice called out Emily's name, causing her to turn around. It was Layla, waving her over. "You guys go ahead. I'll catch up with you," Emily said, signaling Sebastian and Ominis to proceed without her. She approached Layla, curiosity gleaming in her eyes.
“Yes?”  Emily asked, unsure of the purpose of this unexpected encounter.
“I just wanted to apologize for Sonia’s behavior. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure she stays away from your boyfriend.” Layla said, a hint of sincerity lacing her words.
Emily's gaze locked with Layla's, searching for any sign of hidden intentions. Moments stretched in silence between them. Finally, Emily spoke. “It’s fine, he’s not my boyfriend anyway. He can do whatever he wants,” trying to hide feelings.
Layla took a couple more steps and closed the distance between them. She held Emily's gaze, her voice barely above a whisper. "Regardless, I'll keep my word," Layla assured, her voice carrying softness.
Emily found herself drawn to Layla's face, her features captivating and magnetic. It was a gaze she didn't want to break, entangled in the enigmatic allure before her.
Layla reached out and twirled a strand of Emily's hair, her touch featherlight. "You have beautiful hair," she complimented, her smile radiating warmth.
Emily felt a blush creeping up her cheeks. "Th-thank you," she stammered.
Moments lingered, time seemingly suspended, until a voice broke the spell. "Layla," Raj, the boy who had wielded the cane, called out from across the hall.
"Such a shame..." Layla whispered under her breath, her gaze lingering on Emily for a fleeting moment. With that, she turned and walked down the corridor, making her way to Raj's side.
Emily was left standing there, her mind awash with unanswered questions.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Under the cloak of night, while the rest of the castle slumbered, the goblet stood at the center of the resplendent Great Hall. Its vibrant red flame cast an enchanting glow, illuminating the room with an air of anticipation. Suddenly, the grand double doors swung open, revealing Layla and Rani, accompanied by a trembling Durmstrang girl they had forcefully brought along.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" the girl pleaded, her voice quivering.
Ignoring her pleas, Layla and Rani pulled her into the pristine white circle encircling the goblet. Layla snatched a piece of parchment and thrust it into the girl's trembling grasp. With an iron grip, they hoisted her hand over the blazing fire.
"Please..." the girl choked out, her voice choked with fear and desperation.
Layla, unyielding, pried open the girl's hand, allowing the parchment to slip from her grasp and fall into the searing flames. A momentary blue shimmer danced across the fire, signifying the acceptance of the entry, before fading back to its fiery red hue.
Releasing their grip, Layla and Rani let the girl crumple to the floor, overcome with sobs. Crouching down to her level, Layla's gaze locked with the girl's tear-filled eyes. "Don't ever cross me again," she whispered with a chilling undertone. The girl nodded, her acceptance of Layla's warning evident in her trembling form. With great effort, she rose to her feet, her broken spirit evident as she stumbled out of the Great Hall and made her way back to the Durmstrang Common Room.
As they watched the redheaded girl disappear from sight, Rani turned to Layla. "While we're here, do you want to enter your name?" she inquired.
Layla's eyes remained fixed on the retreating figure, her mind deep in thought. "No," she replied, her voice calm and determined. "Headmaster Petrova made it clear. I'll enter tomorrow, at breakfast."

Headcanon
Portkeys - were once (or still idk) used to get to your house, as in the big iron keys doubled as portkeys that opened your house and transported you there.
Activated when you say the name of your house.
Hence. Port + Key.
I'm pretty sure this isn't the canon history of them.

In 1995, at the conclusion of the Triwizard Tournament, Harry Potter was able to rescue his friend Ron Weasley and Gabrielle but was unable to neither prevent the murder of Cedric nor prevent the physical return of Voldemort. Harry survived a dual with Voldemort only to find himself almost killed by a servant of Voldemort in disguise. On a positive note, Harry was declared the winner of the tournament and used the money to fund Fred and George Weasley’s joke shop but on the negative side, the people in power refused to believe that Voldemort had returned. (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Bk) Harry was expelled over the summer but the headmaster of the school got it so Harry was allowed to return to school. In the trial before school started, he cleared Harry’s name. However, Harry’s bad luck continued as a few months later he, Fred, and George were kicked off their quidditch team. On a more pleasant note, Harry had his first kiss with Cho Chang under the mistletoe. (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Bk)

Another FlintWood story idea!!
The only explanation for how this happened is that my brain is all the chaos all the time.
It’s the fourth book but Marcus and Oliver are still in school and Oliver is a muggleborn Beauxbatons student (I have a version of this where he attends Castelobruxo so if you want that imagine that) with his house being Bellefeuille (Bravery, sensitivity, compassion. Hard workers, skilled academics, and they have an affinity towards nature). Since Beauxbatons is confirmed to take students from most of western europe, I’m making Oliver Spanish with one parent originally being from Scotland so he fits the sexy native language and the sexy Scottish accent tropes. He’s still quidditch captain, just not at Hogwarts.
Personally I like a smaller build for Oliver, which I think fits more with the whole thing about every Beauxbatons student seeming to be good looking, so Oliver is the dreamy pretty boy instead of being burly like he was described to be in the book. Marcus is tall and built, but he’s not pretty or even handsome in any conventional way because I’m dedicated to destroying the idea that conventionally attractive people should only date other conventionally attractive people.
While exploring the castle, Oliver gets severely lost. He bumps into Marcus and asks for help getting back to wherever the Beauxbatons carriage is since I think that’s where they stayed. Marcus isn’t usually one for helping people but not only is this person not from Hogwarts (and thus not part of the inter-house conflict), he is also very pretty, so Marcus decides to help like the useless gay disaster that he is. They talk and once they figure out they both love quidditch, they strike up a friendship. Although, thanks to their positions and the healthy rivalry between the schools, there is an element of “I’m better than you and my team could beat yours” but it isn’t active hatred. They have one-on-one’s, creating a pair of hoops with transfiguration because the pitch is off-limits and slowly develop feelings for each other.
Then the Yule Ball comes, and an uncharacteristically shy Marcus asks Oliver to be his date. They have an amazing time, Ron doesn’t ruin Hermione’s night by being a jealous prick because he and Harry went to the ball together (because I like Ron, Krumione is adorable, and I think Ron and Harry had great chemistry outside of the instances where either or both of them were acting like a douchebag), and everyone has a great time. Marcus and Oliver officially become a couple.
Now to drastically change canon, I need you to know I headcanon Oliver as someone with a natural talent for legilimency because I think it’s a cool power, I like Oliver, and it’s plot convenient. Because of his skill with legilimency, when Crouch is doing the ferret thing with Draco, Oliver accidentally catches glimpses of thoughts and memories from “Moody” in relation to his hatred for the Malfoys and their betrayal of Voldemort. This is, obviously, a bit worrying, and after some agonizing he asks Marcus about who Moody is. When Marcus answers he’s an auror, Oliver wonders out loud why he’d despise Draco so much for his family’s betrayal of the dark lord, since that should be something he’d be neutral about at worst. This starts a domino effect that ends with Crouch being revealed earlier. Crouch still manages to get Harry’s blood so Voldemort is still resurrected and Harry knows this through visions so his whole thing with Umbridge in the fifth book still happens, but Cedric survives and there’s a different final task.
Later, just before Oliver returns to Europe, the two promise each other to owl, which they do frequently. Flint chooses to go against the death eater side of his family, as do his parents because despite their previous beliefs they get to know Oliver and realize that what they were doing was terrible. Oliver helps out during the war by helping smuggle muggleborns to mainland Europe. At some point they start living together, alternating between Spain and England, and after the war they get married.
Should I write this or nah? I kinda wanna write this.

So I'd like to explain something that has been baffling Harry Potter fans for a while: Why you don't need a permission strip for existing at Hogwarts, joining the Triwizard Tournament, playing Quidditch, etc, yet you need one to go to Hogsmeade: All of the above things-minus Hogsmeade-are supervised. They have (somewhat) competent people at the ready in case something goes wrong. But Hogsmeade is so unsupervised that Draco was able to commit several illegal acts without being caught. And Harry is able to sneak there several times without a problem, either (until he's seen by Draco.) So were the Marauders.
No one is there if something goes wrong. No one is there to prevent illegal acts. And if Harry gets hit or petrified while under the invisibility cloak in Hogsmeade...well, that's it, he's probably going to die a slow, painful death unless someone steps on him.
It's not an accident Sirius drags Ron into the Shrieking Shack, which is in Hogsmeade and pretty much abandoned. It's not an accident that Remus and Sirius felt safe enough in there to MURDER Peter.
That permission slip is a 'we are not responsible for anything stupid your kid does' disclaimer sheet.
