While still fixated on TMNT at large, I am especially not able to stop thinking about Bad End Ninja Turtles, an au comic by @butterfilledpockets. 2003's "Same as it Never Was" Raph may not have ever experienced the Ninja Tribunal arc, AND I don't think Rise movie Leo still has his powers, so maybe this was just as much of a surprise for the both of them as it was for Ronin. at least we know for sursies Don-bot has seen magic shit before.

I wonder if that's ever going to come back into play?#Slight re-ordering of events for the funny punchlines but we're close to getting back on track.#The mianmian stuff happening right after we also have a Torment Tortoise looking for blood makes this scene so chaotic.#A good kind of chaos as it is supposed to be overwhelming and anxiety inducing!#I have been sitting on the idea of the Beast being just a normal turtle with a knife for ages. Years in fact.#It's stupid as hell but that's sometimes what art is. Indulging the past you who would have loved to see the dumb thing be drawn.#Making it canon now that A-Qing's turtle (the one pd-Lan Sizhui found) is a descendant of this turtle.#Maybe she was so defensive because she has eggs she was watching over! How comfortable are Leo’s brother’s him using his Ninpo on them? Would Leo care if they exhibited any real distress about being controlled like that, or what they were made to do?

this depends. before she #Got Better they were super uncomfortable with it, it was often painful and scary and humiliating to just like. HAVE your BODY be controlled. something something metaphor for leo displacing his own lack of bodily autonomy onto others.

anyway they do exhibit real distress about it, all the time. he laughed at them tho and said it didnt matter cuz controlling them saved their lives :P

when it happened to raph he'd kind of internally freeze up and/or panic, and donnie would kind of internally go limp, but mikey would actively fight it, which made things way worse sometimes haha but that's what you get for body snatching ur bros :/

anyway point it: Leo DID NOT CARE for a while, but then later on she DID care :) and she had trouble doing it cuz she didnt wanna hurt them. but then one of them (idk who, prolly raph?) was like "It's ok u can control me" and then the chains turned into silk and/or ropes (i forget) and it didnt hurt anymore :D so that's cool

see the thing is that you need CONSENT for it to not hurt. you need to be in agreement with the person you're controlling. i think i've talked about this before but it's fun so whatever.

Nino's design as Carapace is already pretty clean. But I am set on making changes to every design in this series. Also adding the bottom face mask to better disguise him because even with the hood you can just see Nino's face in cannon, magic can only do so much.

Bubbler is so weird looking, why does he have that thing on his head? I thought bubble hair would be more visually striking and really sell that this was something magical. And the shades- I wanted to add something on his face other than the plain black marking and giving him sunglasses that should by all logic not stay on was too perfect.

Story wise Nino is the same as he was in cannon. Pre- Season 4 of course, what were they thinking? Adrien needs his bro to drag him out of his photoshoots and encourage a little rebellion. If only he knew how much his words Adrien took to heart as Chat Noir.

Chloe will be done soon. Not sure who I'll do next though? Maybe Hawkmoth or Mayura? The other classmates? Lila? We'll see.
