rewatching knb for the 4th time round and when tetsu ran to kagami on the court (s1: 20) he started talking about how the gom gave him a uniform but never fully handed them their trust. then there’s is a frame where one by one they start fading away while tetsu is saying “after a certain point, they stopped being able to trust me”
The order they start to fade:
Aomine
Murasakibara
Akashi
Midorima
Kise
So either it’s the order they stared losing trust or it’s the order they started losing respect for kuroko. I just find it interesting they did it in that order cause during the teiko arc that’s the order the team started to fall apart and tetsu was lowkey the middle man trying to save it all.

Twitter saw this first but I have a headcanon that Akashi would only understand/use memes if they were horse-related.

This school mentality is so unhealthy, the way it fucked up those poor kids make me so angry. They are MIDDLE SCHOOLERS, club activities should be fun, not some anxiety inducing nightmare.
The true villain of KnB is the faceless director of Teiko and the system of the school.
The worst part is that they used to have teamwork, they used to be very close friends, their bond was very strong and deep. But this school destroyed them.
And here we have the first instance of unreliable narrator :
"The other five were fine with that" Wrong. Murasakibara was fine with that. Midorima and Kise just accepted it and they ended up believing it in some degrees but they always preferred when the team was a team. Aomine had enough on his plate to care one way or another. Akashi was absolutely NOT okay with this, he tried to stop it and his failure was the final push that caused him to switch with his other personality.

I was looking for pics of Momoi in my Kuroko's basket replace + mangas i thought i could share this for those who didn't read it
The two other managers of Teiko basketball team. Atsuko (Momoi calls her A-chan) and Miki (Mi-chan)
They didn't have a lot of screentime so it's nice to have a colored official art of them.
We don't have many infos about them, but we know Atsuko had a crush on Aomine because of the way he plays basketball. And Miki was in love with Akashi (or the middle school equivalent of love). She was super excited to talk to A-chan and Momoi about any interactions she had with him, it was really cute. Like the time she was carrying stuff for the club (coming back from a store if i believe) and he saw her and carried it for her.
Both were a little afraid of Nijimura, he was a delinquant in the past, during his first year, and got into a lot of fights. He stopped when he became captain of the team, before the GoM arrived at Teiko, but he was still frightening when he got angry (mostly at Haizaki)

Kuroko no basket at teiko's time is like:
Midorima has a crush on Akashi, who has a crush on Nijimura, who makes a lot of hate sex with Haizaki, who has a crush (doesn't admit it) on Kise, who has a BIG crush on Aomine, who is deep in love with Kuroko (who loves back).
And Murasakibara who just want food

fuck it, teiko sharks
I really like sharks, and this particular shark origami has low-key became my brand, which is why it was only a matter of time when that would get combined with other interests
(yes, they look crappy. That specific paper was so hard to work with, and also, the set did not have the right colour for akashi, so that had to do, couldn't leave him out completely. now thinking red could have worked better, maybe)

Fuck it. I have a headcanon that post-Extra Game, Akashi begins to feel more acutely aware that he's the only member of the Teiko gang who has not been given a nickname by Momoi, and so one day during a Teiko gang hangout (which has become more of a regular occurrence), he subtly brings up that he's more than okay with Momoi giving him one and that she doesn't have to be so formal with him.
She goes back and forth with a few nickname candidates but it's pretty hard to come up with a nickname using his family name (Aka-chan doesn't work for reasons I'm sure most of you understand by now), so Akashi tells her that she's more than welcome to use his given name if it made things easier. Momoi is slightly taken aback but complies with his request. Thus, from then on, she refers to Akashi as "Sei-kun", and Akashi couldn't be happier.

Kise getting reprimanded by everyone. The one saying "You waited too long, Kise you idiot" is probably Nijimura.
Aomine has darker skin, Murasakibara calls him 'Kise-chin', Haizaki calls him 'Ryota' and is also probably already out of the team at that point because Akashi is already captain.
It's interesting to see that Akashi is the only one not sweating at all (and maybe Midorima but that might be because the panel he is in is too small to add sweat), because as we see later in the series, during the Shutoku and Seirin matches, he barely sweats when he plays, unless it's the end of the match or if he was in the zone at some point. Had Fujimaki already decided that at that point? Or did he just want to deepen the contrast between Kise's panic and exhaustion and Akashi looking completely fine?
Kise calling him captain is cute, maybe it's to hide whether or not he calls him Akashichi outside of matches. We're not supposed to know how close the GoM was yet.
In just one panel it shows Kise freaking out a bit at the thought of being scolded by Akashi, this makes him seem more stern and scary than he actually was (at that point).
Bringing up the 20 points quota without letting the readers know the true reason behind it (keeping Aomine motivated) also make it seems like Teiko was already pretty bad when we know they still get along and play well together when it happens (i mean, the school was already bad but the miracles were still in good spirit). It keeps the fact that Kuroko is an unreliable narrator hidden for a while. At that point the readers have to believe everything Kuroko says is the unaltered truth, because that's what Kuroko believes too.
