Wow! Just wow! I’ve loved Jason Alexander since Pretty Woman, and in everything, I’ve seen him in since. He somehow managed to exceed my high hopes and great expectations as a human, a storyteller… a mensch! Such a huge fan, I was anxious that I’d muck it up being in awe. His smile as soon as he entered the Zoom room set me at ease, and his open willingness allowed the conversation to never cease flowing. 

It would be impossible to cite a favorite “part.” Each story a gem. From his family of NOVIDS (love it!) how they coped, continue to, how he met his wife, adorable story, the secret of their 40-year martial success as Jason has come to see it––magnificent, I’ve replayed that part thrice already, his parents, how he shifted his dream from magic to show biz, fabulous story there, landing his first Broadway show at 19, Sondheim and Hal Prince, please! The Rink with Liza and Chita, an inspiring tale to take forward, a terrific story about scoring Pretty Woman with a little help from a movie star new friend, and getting Seinfeld, amidst fierce competition. Creating George, changing George, Larry David, Jerry, Julia, and Michael, the group dynamic, Curb, and then we jumped to Jason’s upcoming podcast, Really No Really, with Peter Tilden, dropping in February on iHeart and then available wherever you get your podcasts. There was so much more to discuss but the time was flying. Jason agreed to come back and offered to in February to coincide with the drop. Gonna hold him to it. 

Hours later, I still haven’t stopped smiling. I got so much out of this time with Jason, much food for thought, and takeaways all over the place. The topper is that it was such exuberant fun. As much as I admired and adored Jason before, it’s that much more having spent this time in his great company. 

This is a gift to us. Happy Festivus!

It was a privilege and an honour to be a part of the audience three times. I fell in love halfway through the first scene with Quinn and Caitlin proceeded to fall in love with everything about the production: the writing, the characters, the actors of both casts, the staging. It was brilliant piece of work in every way. Even though the second and third time I knew the ending I was still horrified, still emotional as the final five minutes played out. It took years, and a few false hopes, but thanks to the wonderful Nancy Allen, who lent me a tenor, her good friend, Jason Alexander, will be joining us today. Responsible for more laughs than I could ever possibly count… the Emmy and Tony winner, who kills it every time on stages, and screens big and small, will sit down with us and make a long-held dream come true. 

Of course, there’s Jason’s George Costanza on Seinfeld, for which he was nominated for 7 Emmys, 4 Golden Globe Awards, and won a SAG Award, Pretty Woman, Friends, Curb, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Young Sheldon, Everybody Hates Chris, Duckman, Dream On, another Emmy nomination there and numerous other screen roles. He won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Original Song for The Bad Guys on Brainwashed By Toons just 2 years ago. Multi-talented, please! Tony Winner for Jerome Robbins’ Broadway, he also starred on Broadway in Merrily We Roll Along, The Rink, and Broadway Bound, to name but a few, and The Producers in LA, opposite Martin Short. So much more theatre to discuss and explore.

I’m beside myself. I’ll need two chairs for me, today. CANNOT WAIT for the fun! I adore him. Good thing its Zoom or I’d be pinching him and me for an hour.

Here are a few of my shots of legendary actor Hal Holbrook at the Actors Fund's 18th Annual Tony Awards Party and then my shots of him at the Los Angeles Premiere of “The Last Rampage''. I’m deeply saddened by this news of his passing. It was such a sweet man. He was very accommodating and responsive on the red carpet. The last event I shot at he’d brought his grandson. I thought it lovely he included him to be apart of the evening and Hal was much more fragile then too. So the young man could help his grandpa. Variety wrote, “He recurred on the late ’80s Linda Bloodworth sitcom “Designing Women” as the boyfriend to his real-life wife, Dixie Carter; his character on that show was killed off so he could take one of the starring roles in another CBS-Bloodworth effort, the Burt Reynolds starrer “Evening Shade,” in which he played Reynolds’ irascible father-in-law. He appeared in 79 episodes of the show from 1990-94.” Hal was very much a celebrated actor. He will be missed.
