 hello, all!! me and my very chronically ill cat have a huge vet bill coming up in around 3 weeks (early july), and between longer commissions and payday on my current gigs still far away, i just need to make the money i’m missing quicker, so i’m opening up emergency sketch portrait commissions!

 i have to open 15 slots to make it, so here’s the breakdown:

any characters, any fandom! ocs and ttrpg ocs are greatly encouraged. can also be a portrait of your pet, or you, or a loved one, as long as they’re not minors. i still do historical figures, too. or ask for your favorite nba/wnba player. why not.

1 character is $10usd.

2 characters are $15usd.

it can be f/lirty or h/orny, but keep in mind it’s only faces. this option is not available for irl people.

payment is upfront, via my kofi.

Not So New Stories!

I'm sure you see that there are 'new' stories coming out! Sadly no! I just updated a few things because when I published these stories years ago, Tumblr decided to update and weirdly wouldn't let me edit them! So, I just deleted the old ones and published them on a new form! I apologize to the people I'm retagging in! Just the same commissions ya'll requested years ago!

I was also shadow banned, which I had no idea until I realized I wasn't gaining followers! So the stories I published wasn't ever going to new audience!

So it caught my attention that this request that i wrote was copy pasted and sent by the same anon to a good amount of writers on here. I happened to be the first to write and post it (which i never do btw) but that was not cool at all do, so anon who requested it if you are seeing this, please stop doing this and you should apologise to the other writers you sent the request for. Some of my mutuals have already written it. Do you know what that means? It means that they got excited and took time out of their day to write something for you, it is such a frustrating feeling to experience. I’ve had it happen to me multiple times before and it’s so disheartening. Now what i wrote doesn’t feel special because i rarely get requests so everything i write is from my imagination. Please to any reader, pick only 1 writer to send a specific prompt to, we put our hearts into writing and such acts are irresponsible. I apologise to any writer who already wrote that request or if it happened to you previously and you wrote a good amount :( you are all amazing writers and everything you do is appreciated.

So, let’s clear something up, @eevylynn​

First of all, I don’t think that’s dramatic at all. It’s a tumblr blog. Blocking isn’t that serious. I block people without ages in their bio. I block empty blogs. And yes, I block people who serially like without ever reblogging or commenting. Why? A couple of reasons.

Likes do nothing. At most, they are a way of keeping stuff to yourself but off your blog. This isn’t instagram or youtube. Likes do literally nothing for helping anyone’s work (be it writing or drawing or anything at all creative) be spread around.

The other reason is that I find it personally kind of insulting. Someone tearing through my masterlist one by one while binge reading and leaving likes just tells me they like my fics a lot - enough to spend hours on them, but never three seconds to reblog or half a minute to comment. It means something to them but not enough to give it the time of day, or consider that others might want to read the fics they find so very enjoyable, and the only way they can do that is if someone reblogs them.

Second of all, this blog is mine to do with as I please. These fics are mine to do with as I please. I share them because I want to, but the simple act of them being shared does not make people entitled to them. I can restrict access for anyone, for any reason. I find that the reasons I have given are more than fair. No age? Blocked. I don’t want minors reading my fics now that I’m writing more mature content. No content on a blog? Blocked.

Constant disappointment caused by those who consume everything but never share it? Never have even one word to say in return for the thousands they’ve read? Blocked.

It takes me hours and hours to write these stories. I have a job. A personal life. Responsibilities. This is a hobby - an uncompensated one, the only reward for which exists in people’s responses to it.

Serial likes are the following response: I like your stuff so much. I’ve read almost all of it. But no one else should find it. And I won’t bother saying anything to you. Just keep creating stuff for me to consume, please. Faster if possible.

Does anyone wonder why creators everywhere, for any type of content, burn out and leave platforms? Why they just don’t participate as much as they used to? Well, this is the answer. No engagement. None of the things that we actually create for are received. We want to love and engage in fandom like the rest of you. We want a sense of community. That’s why we share our works.

I don’t want the constant disappointment of a million likes in my notes. Go find another writer here who won’t tell you the same. I’d rather have a tight-knit group of people who actually care enough to interact with my stories. Even just the once! I don’t think that’s demanding or, as you put it, dramatic.

If my personal decision is off-putting to you, you are welcome to not engage with my fics, or my blog. That’s what adults on the internet do. We curate the space we want to inhabit.

I tried to reset but we will see if it works.

A note on pronouns in prompts: I use they/them pronouns for most short prompts but usually the longer ones come from prompts I've written for OCs. I used to be diligent about taking them out but I've decided not to be as diligent from here on out so feel absolutely free to insert whatever pronouns you want.

Also feel free to change dates and settings obviously, I will not be at all offended. In fact quite the opposite!

Oh and if you want to switch a role a character has -- for example if you think a character would fit better with your whumper than my caretaker, go right ahead!

My prompts are just a starting point, please do spin them out of control!!!

hi,

it's been a while. i have news i'd like to share. yesterday night, we euthanized my beloved kitty, gamzee marilyn harvey. as you may have surmised from my posts these last few years, she was very sick and she fought fiercely until she could no more. she had the fortune of passing away in her sleep, surrounded by us, her family, in the comfort of her home, with no complications.

she was a very difficult cat. she was my baby, my companion, my first and only cat, and i loved her every single day of her life, no matter how feral she got and how hard she bit and scratched, how despairingly taxing her 24/7 care became. i adore her, and i always will.

i'm telling you this because all commissions, every single bit of income i have made for the past 3+ years, went exclusively towards her and her treatment. i have told my friends, i have thanked her many doctors, but i have to let you guys know. without your support, spreading my posts, following and commissioning, i would not have been able to pay for all that she needed. it is without a doubt in part thanks to your support that what -under a lesser guardian than i -would have been around 8 years of being a menace, turned into 12 hard yet beautiful years she could spend in her home doing whatever she wanted in her life as a mean and wonderful kitty.

your support bought meds, taxi drives, supplies and vet appointments, and it all brought us to the natural, rather than untimely, point where she very simply could no longer go on. i miss her immensely and always will, but i know for a fact i did everything and beyond for her, and i gave her the best life she could have ever had, illnesses and all.

you demonstrably played a part on that. so i have to thank you very honestly.

i got a job now. i got my first real paycheck in years and all i had time to pay with it were her funerary expenses. before that, a good chunk of the costs related to caring for her came from you. i cannot stress it enough.

maybe we'll do fun doodle requests as a thank you sometime in the future. that would be fun. for now, i humbly request that you give your little creatures a snuggle or kiss from me. every single pet in the world with a good owner is the most beloved pet in the world, and i hope yours know that.

thank you again so much. she is at last in real, real peace, and you helped pave this road. thank you.

No Fan Fic Friday This Friday

So, I'm sure most of you noticed there was no poll over the weekend for Fan Fic Friday. This week I'm taking a short break and catching up on imagines. Also, life has been crazy right now.

My car battery light came on a few days ago I had some alternator problems last year which was a bitch to change but thanks to my papa driving 5 hours to the state I live in and help me we got it fixed! I worried it was another alternator problem because I can't change it on my own. My father is very sick and I don't want to put him through that long drive again. Luckily! It was just a lose terminal on my battery and I tightened it up with no problem! Today on my way to work my fucking airbag service light came on stating one of my airbags wasn't holding air. So lovely for me I have that going on.

But yeah, that's just a taste of what's going on in my life right now. I do have exciting news coming soon- hopefully I'll share today! But stay tuned!
