Now Danny would openly admit, if only to himself, that he had a type when it came to relationships. If they were strong, if they were a threat to him, then chances were he would develop some sort of crush. It was how he had dated Sam and Valerie (And Johnny & Kitty) when he was a bit younger, and hell, Sam had technically succeeded in killing him, even if partly. 

Attraction towards smart people who could kill him was honestly par for the course for a Fenton or Nightingale anyway. 

And he’d also admit he enjoyed a bit of time travel, learning about times and culture long before his time, to the point that he could blend in in ancient times just as easily as the time he had been born in. That it was natural to mutter in a language lost to time. 

So color him surprise when another man perks up in the bar he had paused to get a drink in, vibrant green eyes gleaming in interest and responds in turn. And not just in the language, but able to keep up when he talks about things that once existed but haven’t been rediscovered yet. 

And one thing led to the other, and there might have been some assassins and some shenanigans that end with them both laughing together in an inn and then more and- Okay he has a type alright, and he’s ticking each box! How is that fair?

Danny has been following this boy for a couple of weeks and is terrified of him dieing he has done everything he could to protect the boy and be there with him he would of taken the boy wen he already back to his place but could not get in the boys mansion and could not take him in the middle of the city were the bat and his bird was he could not grab him from the bus with out it being caught on camera so in the he decides the best path was a kidnapping so he hired some dumb people to go in to the home to take tim and bring him unharmed to him and they will get paid and he can give this child a parent he needs

Flower was on guard duty and theyre found barely conscious in a pool of rapidly evaporating void. passes out seconds later #PK also had the displeasure of experiencing extene pain and burning as void forced its way out through his skin <3 And his moulds all melted #and evaporated. after the initial shock wears off theyre hit with “Oh No #the vessel“ and rush to find them. Well somebody else was already looking for the royal pair about this #Flower wakes up dazed and in pain in their father's workshop. their stomach hurts their throat burns and they feel lightheaded. the entire #place is considerably brighter than they remember and in they can hear two faint voices in the background but theyre too preoccupied with #examining their now pure white hand in shock to focus on anything else. until they hear their mother say “My wyrm they're awake” and #suddenly their parents are by their side. Now the two have no idea what void leaving their body might have done to them. Are they still #hollow? are they still dead? do they understand anything are they sentient? or was what was done pernament even without the void? do they #have the mind of a child if their sentience was restored? or do they remember anything? So WL stays by their side and helps them sit up #while their father goes to grab his tools. She's trying to keep them calm and comfort them but theyre still too disoriented to pay her much #attention. Until their father checks their breathing and they yelp audibly from the cool metal contacting their skin and suddenly they seem #much more alert. theyve never experienced true coldness before. PK quickly apologises and tries to be gentler with them. Theyre breathing #properly and they have a heartbeat. And he just pauses for a long while just. listening to their heart beating. Many emotions to be had #after the exam's over he asks them point blank how theyre feeling. And Flower looks up at him still seeming a little disoriented. and then #they lower their hand to their stomach and mutter 'My tummy hurts...a-and my throat burns'. It's to be expected after the way the void #left their body. so he goes to grab them some water and meds and they also ask for food and a mirror. And after he returns they just stare #at themself in the mirror and pull on their bangs for a while then blurt out 'I have your eyes' when PK asks if everything's okay. And he #and he almost chokes up as he replies 'Yeah...Yeah you do'. Flower eventually spins a lie that they remember everything but its all distant #and blurry. Like they were not aware until now. I downloaded some circle-glasses recolours and hghghh they look so good! Closer every day to his final details! Getting ever closer!

Edgar too! I made him a custom hair with a lighter undercut - I’m mostly happy with it, probably could’ve shifted it a shade closer to his skintone but the texturing was weird no matter what :P And his stripey shirt! I wish Body Shop didn’t have that hands-on-hips pose lol, it looks so much better in-game, but that’s all the better :)

I got some new clothes for Todd as well! As soon as I saw this ‘fit I was like “Oh that’s 100% Todd there he is.” Scriadad hug ♥ So cute

You know what? We need more Good parents Fentons. 

And you know what else? Technically, Jack helped Danny defeat Pariah via the use of the Ecto-Skeleton. And like, that’s his son, his baby boy. Sure Danny is and has always been a mommy’s boy, but it doesn’t change that fact. They’re both already feeling horrible about the fact they could have hurt him, they could have hurt their son- they have hurt their son, killed him with their inaction and never again. 

So when these oversized jello-eyeballs try to insist that their baby, their precious baby boy, take a crown? Become a king when he’s not even out of highschool, when he doesn’t want it? No. Hell no! That is his Danny-o, his baby boy who was terrified of his own parents! 

Which is how Jack, despite technically still being alive even if so-very ecto-contaminated, became the Ghost King. 

And for some reason there’s several ghosts rather happy about this- oh, these are his Danny-O’s ghost-parents? Not-ghost parents seeing as some of them have never been anything but a realm denizen? That’s really fascinating- y’know what, want some fudge and we can exchange childcare- Maddie dear come over and meet our co-parents apparently!  

Now it’s not all easy, but they’re trying their best, and that’s all that can be asked.

Which is perhaps why it’s so exasperating- or as Maddie would put it, downright infuriating- that it is now, almost an entire year and a half later that the Heroes finally arrive to investigate. Well, at least he has plenty of fudge since it’s almost time for the council meeting.

#feeding my dogs thinking about how they feel after breaking away from bhaal #empty furious lonely devastated ecstatic. afraid numb sheer relief. it goes back and forth #going from relieved to be free to enraged at bhaal for everything to desperately wanting to return to him and then hating themself for it #i think they try to find information about their foster parents. some kind of desperate hope that the memory of killing them is just #a result of their brain being excavated by orin #who i think they cared for! in their way! by the time of the absolute plot there's barely anything left that hasn't been honed by bhaal into #an implement of destruction #but orin is family; her blood is diluted but they still share it. roan sees the way she plays with her bodies as selfishness #also that seems to be the way sarevok sees it and that's the vibe i get from the book/letter durge writes her #which is interesting that she kept it #anyway. roan kills her because they have to but even doing that feels familiar to them. some distant thought in the back of their mind #that says they always knew it would end this way. and some part of them berating orin for not killing them #thinking that this is what they meant; if she had just listened even a little bit she couldve been bhaal's chosen #but she chose personal glory and satisfaction over bhaal and that's why she failed #and i wonder just how much durge changes afterwards. how much of their thoughts still revolve around murder #like. habitually. ofc it obviously varies for everyone but

HI YES HELLO OMG OKAY LET'S GET INTO IT BECAUSE I LOVE SXF SO MUCH LIKE IT IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS / THINGS TO READ NOW NOT EVEN KIDDING

it's actually a comedy! there is some violence and some underlying darker themes because. they are quite literally on the brink of war. but in the end, the most important aspect of the story is found family.

imma just briefly describe the plot because. i want to talk about it lol

loid forger is a spy trying to prevent the war (and he is the most infamous spy) (codename: twilight). he gets assigned a mission to get close to this dude to help prevent war stuff. only issue is, this dude is super reclusive and quite literally like only ever leaves his house to attend very specific events for the school his two sons go to. so, the mission loid gets assigned is to get a child and a wife, get the child accepted into this super prestigious school, and get close to desmond (the guy).

he adopts a kid named anya, and unbeknownst to him, she is a telepath and can read thoughts. therefore, she knows that he's a spy. therefore, shenanigans ensue. she likes causing mischief and her favorite show from at the orphanage was this spy show so she's like super into spy stuff.

then comes yor briar. yor works for city hall and is an awkward but kind young lady but also, during the night, she's an assassin (codename: thorn princess). the secret police are these crappy dudes who idk they're just against the spy agency and hate twilight but anyways, they take suspicious people into questioning and that doesn't bode well for you. and being a single female close to your thirties is suspicious and some of yor's coworkers don't like her and were like "lol you're single you could get reported to the secret police" so she panics and is like "well actually i have a boyfriend so like y eah" and they're like "okay bring him to a party at my place this weekend then lol" and she goes to get her assassin dress fixed where she runs into loid and anya (loid is getting clothes for anya) and loid is like "oooh she's pretty, maybe she could work" and anya reads her thoughts, figures out she's an assassin and is like this woman needs to be my mom the drama would be so good and essentially gets it set up.

loid is pretending that his wife died awhile back and he needs a wife for their child (anya) to get into the school his deceased wife always wished she would get in, and asked if yor could be his fake wife. she agreed if loid would be her fake boyfriend for the party so she wouldn't get reported. loid accidentally messes up because of a mission thing he had to do right before the party and tells everyone that he's yor's husband, and then yor is like "lol what if we got married and had like a fake family so you can get your kid into the school and i can still kill people - i mean not get arrested" and loid is like "well this works even better for me"

so in conclusion: loid is a spy named twilight, yor is an assassin named thorn princess, anya is a telepath.

anya knows about loid and yor

neither loid nor yor know about each other or anya

and it's fantastic

#jingyi tag #and that's basically the first two episodes but simplified #it's such a good show i read like the entire manga that's out thus far in like two days i couldn't stop #also the eng dub is kind of bad tbh so if you watch it i suggest the sub - it's a lot better #but yeah at its core this is a show about three lonely people finding solace and happiness together and trying to convince themselves this #family isn't real as they slowly become a close-knit family who care about each other so much #and it's just. f rick. it is so good. #i love loid so much - he's just this tired overworked dude who just needs a nap and i love him #i mean i love all of them like there are only a couple characters that i hate and those are the characters you're Supposed to hate #i cannot suggest this enough #i also bawled when i read loid's backstory in the manga btw like. y eah. i bawled. it got to me. #it's just. they're all so lonely because anya is a telepath due to being experimented on and she was adopted but returned like four times #and kicked out of two orphanages and would do anything to keep loid and yor as her parents and everything loid cared about as a child was #destroyed and he feels like he has no one and doesn't know who he is and he's so scared to be close with people again #and yor is a lonely girl who doesn't read social cues v well and gets ostracized because she isn't 'girl' enough and both her parents died #when she was super young so she had to start working and sacrificed everything so her younger brother could eat and go to school #and they all happen to find each other and #AHHHHHHHHHHHHH #anyways i have. feelings. #hOPE THIS HELPS #corey rambles:)
