hi all! Happy Pride! im making a new film called “One Magenta Afternoon” and we’re crowdfunding to reach a goal of 23K!
the film is about a black boy and his grandfather who, in the middle of a jazz lesson, nurture a relationship & communicate with 6 queer ghosts.
i would love if you could support. if you can't give directly, just please spread the word! if you want to see more black films and more queer films and more films that are queer while being black and black while being queer, without any silly hangups about the two, then please support this work.
it’s a queer black love story & we’ve got 4 more days to make it happen!
We’ve got mad love to our campaign thus far -- we’re a Kickstarter Project We Love, and even got the support of Moonlight’s Tarell Alvin McCraney! -- and would love to finish just as strong. thank you.

We are full of love, the closest thing to universal love, that primal hold. You feel it inasmuch as I miss that hold. Remember that you will be forever holding him, and forever holding US
There's a film called "Love is strange" ... Indeed it is. Pain seems to make hugs a bit tighter next time. We don't want to hug, we wish to hold close to our hurts. To keep, to maintain that second still in time in sync with our heartbeat, to then let it go as a pop in hot air, back into the world where we all live and we will all die some day, sharing the same sweet air
Sometimes the men in our lives seem lost for a while, and then we reconnect with them. It's indeed a "strange" kind of love that needs those decades passing, these men that don't allow us to get to know them until they go back to themselves...
And then, they leave us or become ill and we feel that we are holding on to them with that feeling of rushed time, of an experience cuts short before its time.
Some of them will never get to tell us how they really feel about having a grown up daughter, or a little sister.
And when they go, we stay close to that embrace forever.
