I love the cleverness here with Phoebe. She has the exact same mentality in its extreme of the Stoats of Last Bast. The exact hope Thorn had in his original cult’s philosophy- that Stoats can wield The Blue in a special way and use it to eradicate the humans.

But its a philosophy that needs the humans to be pure monsters, and all other creatures to be inherently worth less. It can’t matter other creatures become ill and mutated and twisted and that they deserve better and had their own lives. It can’t be that humans are sentient beings are more like the Stoats then different. Because if so, then any Stoat with any love for life and family cannot deny that in other beings.

Eight has two Odux mounts whomst he received as gifts from Zakuulan locals on his travels; these two beasts produce milk and cheese, so he regularly makes those products and occasionally sells them to fund his wanderings around the countryside of Wild Space.

That is not their only purpose; given the necessity of a spy to travel abroad without raising suspicion, Eight was tasked with gathering espionage for the Alliance and scouting potential allied villages/difficult-to-reach enclaves while under the guise of an oddjobs nomadic mercenary for hire. Due to the Eternal Empire's aggressive advancement in tech, it was a unanimous decision for him to go with relatively little technology in order to avoid surveillance, save for the occasional radio and report. As a result, Eight spent most of his time living on the back of his animals and caravan-ing to parts most remote while adapting to life on the move.

Being from a semi-nomadic culture himself, Eight took to never staying in one place and gathering reconnaissance from the locals like a fish to water--even building a mobile house-like structure atop his beasts so he could sleep in the saddle while the Odux' were on the move. Lana's mobile Intelligence did come into fruition...though not in the way she expected. No one could deny the efficacy of an operative permanently out in the field however, and it was approved for Eight to carry out his work like so and as he saw fit, becoming one of the most vital pieces of Alliance intelligence due to being largely invisible to a high-tech Empire.

#swtor #ooc #this was probably one of the most fun aliases/identities eight ever got to perform #but also because he got to do buttfuck all and wander and do things like help people move their hay and make cheese and get paid for it #I really love the idea of the Alliance countering Zakuul by going super low-tech revolutionary though #he had lots of adventures :^)#and i definitely believe he met a Zakuulan killik nest isolated from the rest #or contributed greatly to seeking out hidden force user pockets #hiding from the eternal empire in the forests #but also part of a spy is just. people work and adapting to life as locals #and LOTS of traveling.....#partially inspired by the roadtripping ive been doing a lot in game to take screenies and gifs #kotxx
