"But like seriously, imagine trying to moan out 'Oh Christopher' while you're bouncing on it..." you trailed off, unable to finish the thought without losing it again.

"WOAH" Ava's eyes widened as she processed what you had just said. She covered her mouth, trying to muffle her laughter. "Oh my god, oh my god!"

Your sides hurt from laughing so hard, tears streaming down your face. "okay I guess we should probably-" you started, but Ava cut you off with a loud laugh. "end this video here" You snorted, trying to catch your breath. 'Oh, Christopher'..." Your voice trailed off, before ending the video, and the two of you dissolved into another fit of giggles, clutching each other for support.

After regaining your composure, you both decided to go home and edit the video before posting it online. you couldn't help but giggle to yourself as you watched back the footage, "I can't believe we were laughing so hard at something so stupid," Ava chuckled, shaking her head. "But hey, at least it made a good video," you replied, your eyes still glued to your laptop. Once you were satisfied with your editing, you quickly uploaded the video to your YouTube channel.

The next few days, the video went so viral unexpectedly that you and Ava couldn't believe your eyes. Thousands of comments flooded your YouTube page. The dimly lit room was filled with the familiar sounds of typing as Nick, was sat on the sofa across from Chris scrolling through his phone. Their laughter died down as they both sat there, breathing heavily. Chris grabbed his phone, opening TikTok."Nick send me that video" Nick raised his eyebrows but decided to comply. 

As Chris watched the video, again, he clicked on the hashtag that had one of the girls' names in it and found hundreds of similar videos, and some edits. He clicked on the first video that popped up. It was a different clip from the same video.

"how about 'Christopher'" the girl asked

"oh Christopher, yes! Just like that" the other one whined, sarcastically. But something about the way she said it made Chris' heart race a little too fast. it turned him on.

"Thanks, Damon," you said, setting the glass down on the counter.

"Sorry," a gentle voice said, before disappearing. You turned back to the party, taking in the scene, Ava was now dancing with the tall, dark-haired guy. They seemed to be enjoying themselves, and Ava looked like she was having the time of her life.

You took one last sip from your drink, before placing it down with a 'clack' on the counter. With a smile, you slowly made your way through the crowd, the rhythm of the music guiding your steps. The dance floor was packed, but somehow you managed to find a spot where you could lose yourself in the music.

As I said earlier, close-up Brenner is shot at a distance baby El could never have achieved. She passes out on the far side of the room, entirely too far away to have been anywhere near close enough for a close-up of Brenner's face, height aside.

Some-One else has enough energy left to walk towards the doors. All the way over, in fact. So while those close-up shots are 100% out of range for post-gate baby El, they're very much in-range for 3:46 PM One.

Tl;dr: It's entirely possible, if not likely (based on the choreography and camera-work in these scenes) that close-up/angry Brenner was addressing One rather than baby El.

West End Cast Change

Alright lots of exciting news today. I was going to reply to asks individually but looks like they're all like the same few questions so for convenience....megapost. Principal costumes/general notes - The principal costumes have been standardized for a while now and shouldn't have any significant design differences. - The UK has been standardizing the boots to all be one thick strap (two buckles) with the exception of Cleves who of course gets the thigh highs. - Reca Oakley and Gabriella Stylianou are both returning from former NCL contracts. They should both get new costumes. Gabriella's is rather old now and doesn't match the style of any other current Seymour. Reca's is fairly standard for the North American/NCL productions, but it isn't rigged for the Cleves reveal which means she should get new. Swing costumes The incoming swings have been announced as - Meg Dixon-Brasil for the West End - Natalie Pilkington as universal, which means she'll be based in the West End but travel to the UK Tour to provide coverage as needed The very obvious costume assignments are that Meg gets silver and Natalie gets black. The current UK Tour does not have anyone in black alt, which allows Natalie to seamlessly go back and forth without any concerns about duplicate costumes. Those assignments are also flattering on each of them, respectively, and Natalie was previously black alt during her time as UK Tour swing (and Bliss 1.0 even before that). As for what costumes Natalie will wear....she does have a previous black alt costume that she wore for the UK Tour. It was a reused top, reused shorts, new pants, and new Cleves zippered jacket (non-reveal). She'll likely wear that, reusing a few of those pieces but get replacements here and there. Probably gets an Aragon/Howard skirt as well. I also think it's likely that she'll re-wear her principal Seymour and Parr costumes from the UK Tour, although I'd expect that they'll generally keep them in the West End and not always have her bring them to Tour (with the exception of special occasions). Assuming she does reuse those, she wouldn't get the black Seymour variation. There is a small chance that Natalie keeps her pink alt and Seymour/Parr costumes. This seems unlikely - harder to transport, less flexibility, risk of double pink - but knowing Six it's not impossible. If this is the plan, presumably one of the West End alts would get black instead of pink.

Alternate costumes To me the most exciting factor is that they finally scrambled around the covers again!!! This is the first time since the current alternate system has been implemented that they're breaking the standardized A/C, B/H, S/P, to: Gabriella Stylianou as alt. Aragon/Seymour Naomi Alade as alt. Boleyn/Cleves Hannah Lowther as alt. Howard/Parr They're keeping the same system of principal costumes for first covers (already seen some of them in progress). But their alternate costumes for second and third covers are up in the air. Historically... - teal alternate was designed for Boleyn/Cleves, but also became standard for B/H, B/S/H, and S/H/P as first covers. Under the standardized alternate system, it's been used for Aragon/Cleves first covers which means they're wearing it for B/S/H/P. - orange alternate was designed for Aragon/Parr but also became standardized for S/P and once for A/C. Under the standardized system, it was used for A/S/C/P. - pink alternate was designed for Aragon/Howard and used for A/B/C/H, both prior to lockdown and with the recent standardization. - and I know I mentioned the (small) possibility that Natalie keeps her pink and an alt gets black above, but that's so minute and adds too many factors to consider, so for the sake of this post I'm just going to assume that's not happening. With this cast, my best guess is: - Gabriella in teal (will be worn for B/C/H/P) - Naomi in pink or orange (will be worn for A/S/H/P) - Hannah in orange or pink (will be worn for A/B/S/C) Gabriella's covers all fit neatly within teal so that feels fairly simple (although nothing ever is with Six and it could wind up totally different!). Naomi and Hannah both feel a little more complicated. I'd lean towards Naomi pink and Hannah orange - they feel more likely and better suited to them/the roles. But in terms of the costumes themselves, they've generally really avoided pink for S/P and Naomi does cover both, while Hannah only covers S. If they really want to avoid pink S/P as much as possible, there's a chance Hannah gets it. It ultimately comes down to what factors they're prioritizing. I'm very curious to see where they land! My personal hopes, with varying degrees of likelihood: - a changed variation for orange/teal/pink. please Ms Slade I'm begging you. - Naomi wearing braids for her roles, just like Zara MacIntosh did. - Thao Therese Nguyen getting green highlights like the South Korean queens did. Six has really diversified their Boleyn hair/wig designs recently to better reflect the individual queens' hair/cut/style. Since Thao often has brightly dyed hair I think this would be a really fun spot to add that individuality for her! I'd also like to see Naomi with green highlights if this is the case, but since she's alt it's less likely and I'd rather braids. - Janiq Charles getting to incorporate twists in her hairstyle, potentially something similar to Paisley Billings'. - Meg getting the Boleyn variation for silver alt. This is unlikely but I'd love for it to happen anyway (Esme Rothero seems to have been a special case, which I wrote about here)

All the chapter scripts for Triangle Strategy are now up on the wiki! The scripts should contain essentially all of the text from the game, with the exception of some UI and other not-dialogue things.

Long-winded list + rambling about what I still need to clean up under the cut:

I haven't touched the mid-battle dialogue yet for the most part. It's all pasted in every chapter, but I've pretty much just slapped a "This dialogue is triggered if [condition unknown]" label on all of the lines and called it a day.

The dialogue for each side story is only included in the data once, so if one side story is included in multiple different route paths, there's a decent chance I missed that. Once I get the basic script down, I'll go back and take a closer look to make sure I have the side stories duplicated where they need to be.

There are also a few scenes that were in the script and that I can remember playing through, but they didn't seem to actually be in the chapter the datamining said they would be in, so I need to track down where they actually go.

Event descriptions are mostly all there, but there were a few places I need to go back and check.

There are a lot of little general things I might have missed (things like conditionals that didn't show up in the ids I was looking at, so they flew under my radar).

Question-answer associations are likely mixed up in a lot of places. I touched on it in a previous post, but this is due to the fact that when Serenoa is answering a question, there's no real id that's used to indicate what dialogue follows a specific answer. So I've mostly just gone off of what sounds right for the time being. But if you're dying for a not-tldr explanation (and of course you're dying for a not-tldr explanation!!!!):

The way I've been "datamining" a lot of this isn't actually datamining so much as it is sort of......... making educated guesses based on the developer's variable naming system. Like for example, a specific piece of dialogue might be named:

MS01_X01_A1_0010_F_FRE_0070

And what I did was sort of reverse-figure-out what those ids indicated. I figured out that MS stands for "Main Story," 01 is the chapter number, X indicates that it's part 2 (if there ARE two parts, otherwise it's just the whole chapter), A1 is a reference to the location (Wolffort Demense), 0010 I think is technically some sort of scene id, but I haven't been able to crack what exactly the value indicates. "F" is the gender, "FRE" indicates that Frederica is the speaker, and "0070" is some other numbers that I did actually figure out what they meant but it's not relevant to datamining (it's a counter for how many times a specific character has spoken in a scene, which was probably useful for making sure each dialogue line got a unique id but it's not super useful in any other sense). (Also my little brother was actually the one to figure that out for me so shout out to him!!!)

There are variants on this with other information included, such as:

With questions specifically (like Benedict asking, "What do you think the purpose of the tourney is, my lord?"), those lines of dialogue usually get the label S03. That "S03" label is applied to all parts of the question-related conversation, including: the question itself (e.g. "What do you think the purpose of the tourney is, my lord?"), Serenoa's answers ("I think it's to show off our military might", "I think it's to make friends," etc.), and any NPC response that follows (e.g. Benedict saying, "Not quite, my lord. You see, it's actually..."). As far as I can tell, there's no way to tell what answer goes with what NPC response. It would PROBABLY be in the code somewhere, but while variable names are really easy to see, the actual code is a lot harder to break into and would require likely learning a new coding language and other stuff I simply don't feel like doing.

So thus I'm just guessing a lot of times. For a fair amount of it, it's pretty easy to tell what response goes with what question, but whenever it's ambiguous, it's entirely possible I mixed up the placement of a few lines here and there.

I’m not here to put Chris down. I just want to make some comparisons about them both because Ryan was in a similar spot that Chris is in now. Ryan had a failed engagement and a failed first marriage before he actually met the love on his life Blake. They met on Green Lantern, but were both with other people before they decided to see each other.

He also had a similar career paths with a lot of hits and misses. Lots of claims that he can’t act and gives inconsistent performances. He had his failed attempts with Green Lantern and the first appearance of Deadpool. With the official Deadpool movie he skyrocketed back to the top. With the success of Deadpool it began the Ryan Renaissance. People couldn’t stand him after Green Lantern. He found his groove and what he’s good at and he hit the ground running.

He seems to be in a really good place right now and has a partner that supports him and his creative endeavors and encourages him to be the best that he can. It sounds cheesy, but the support system starts at home. Chris would’ve been able to bounce back from the two years of ego hits if he had better people surrounding him and filling his cup instead of taking from it. I do hope one day that he can find career and personal happiness the way Ryan has.

You can compare them, but both men could want different things out of their career, and it does seem that they do. They have had similar movies, but that’s where the comparison stops. Ryan has made a career out of vulgar comedy. A lot of his characters are the exact same damn character. There isn’t a huge range in his top movies.

If you look at Evans top movies there actually is. So…again, we don’t need to compare. They each have their path and their goals. That can be said about every actor in their age bracket. It’s why I hate Sebastian and Chris comparisons. Their careers are nothing alike. Sebastian has a deep desire to be an award and critical darling. Chris doesn’t seem to want that. And guess what? That is okay.

We’re also looking at Chris’ career after a huge high of Endgame and Knives Out to then complete opposite due to the pandemic. I’m sure he did panic a bit. I’m sure he wanted to pick up just about anything, especially with a high enough paycheck. I also wonder if he didn’t have a multi project deal with Apple and that’s why we got Ghosted.

But his projects post the pandemic were not all awful. Let’s be honest, I doubt any of the Marvel cast will recreate the success of Endgame. So we went from the biggest movie of all time to now. It can’t be duplicated. So I think we’re looking at things unfairly. His movies post pandemic aren’t all awful.

thoughts on gideon the ninth chapter twenty-five, and predictions for the ending

now that's a locked room murder! And if you read to the end of this post, I'll actually have a complete guess for who I think is behind it.

first of all, i do not believe that the monster is something that was there all along. no, someone is taking advantage of the monster story that teacher told, i'm sure of it. there was no monster sighting for magnus and abigail's deaths, but after that, teacher told the story, and now someone behind this is enjoying the effect of showing everyone the monster. but in reality, this isn't some insane, crazy thing — it's just a big bone construct any sufficiently cracked necromancer could make. especially one in a facility that's been teaching them how to improve their necromancy. also, the messages in blood — let's flip the chessboard. why would a random monster want to show them that? i can think of a few possibilities, but i think it's more likely that the person behind this is trying to give off an effect that will scare gideon.

rip isaac. he was a good kid, in the end.

now, the proper locked room mystery is what happened to jeannemary. i don't think i know the full details — we might get some more next chapter as we investigate the scene — but we can still start thinking. Speculation incoming:

Option 1: Jeannemary let someone in while Gideon was asleep. For her to do that, it has to be someone Jeannemary has reason to trust, even without waking Gideon up (I can believe that she distrusts Gideon enough to not wake her up, though). There are only three people this could be; Isaac, Magnus, or Abigail. If one of them is secretly alive, then it's probably Abigail, because we did just see Isaac die, and I dunno, Magnus was very nice while we never actually saw a ton of Abigail. Alternatively, someone could have reanimated and been controlling one of their bodies. It could also be someone Jeannemary didn't trust, but did consider not a threat, like Dulcinea.

Option 2: There are more keys. The fact that there was only one key for each room was a guess, not a fact. Any of the people actively working on stuff could be the one who has it.

Option 3: Someone made a duplicate key. Who was in possession of the key before Gideon? Harrow.

Option 4. There is another way into the room. This would be in violation of Knox's commandments, which you totally can do (Zero Escape), or you can specifically avoid doing for the sake of it (Umineko). I'd lean toward the latter for this story but I can't say for sure.

Option 5: Someone shot the spears of bone that killed Jeannemary from underneath or above the room. It was not described in so much detail so honestly this is possible. How would they know Jeannemary's position, though?

That's all I have for now. Unless someone fed Jeannemary small bombs that exploded into bone spikes inside her body. The chef was the culprit all along :)

Now, let's look at this from a different angle and consider suspects:

It has to be a necromancer involved, due to how Jeannemary died. The funny thing about this whole Locked Room situation is that it typically might make Gideon a suspect, but Gideon literally couldn't kill Jeannemary in this way. Or could she? I mean, I know she didn't, but from the perspective of the others, she could have just prepared preexisting bone spikes. Anyway, that's a tangent.

Judith: Even with them having sucked shit, her team just feels too irrelevant. I don't believe they had it in them to pull this off, I don't believe they would have secretly had a key, and I don't believe Jeannemary would have let her in.

Coronabeth: She would have to have been a big time actor to play this whole act of being inferior to Ianthe only to have been planning all of this on her own all along.

Ianthe: Definitely possible, she's one of the biggest unknowns and potential schemers. The problem with her being the culprit is honestly that she's done so little that there aren't really enough clues to go off of.

Isaac: That would be a pretty hard death to fake, imo, and he'd also have to have faked his bestie's death, since I don't think he'd have killed her. Not hi.

Abigail: A very real possibility, assuming that the magic is so strong that she actually could pretend to be dead. That would feel a little cheap, but it's possible to make it work. Like what if she did one of the challenges and learned to resurrect herself? I don't think it's likely but it's possible.

Palamedes: Kind of a similar option to Coronabeth. He has such a strong existing personality that it's hard to imagine him actually having been faking all along. But that doesn't mean he couldn't have been. I mean, that's kind the point of a secret culprit: That they were faking their personality. I trust people too much, so it's very hard for me to consider possibilities where someone was faking how they act. That said, he's also a dweeb.

Dulcinea: Honestly, very possible. There are clues to pick up and tie together. I don't know what shape they'd form, but they're definitely out there. Maybe sending Protesilaus out is part of some plan. I can definitely believe she's pulling some shit.

Silas: Kind of like Ianthe — possible, but he's done so little that I'm not sure what clues are there.

The fact that I haven't noticed enough clues does not necessarily imply that they aren't there. It could very well be revealed to be Ianthe, Silas, or Palamedes, and turn out to have been foreshadowed in ways that I simply missed. But I can only go off of the information I'm aware of.

There's one other thing we have to keep note of, though, before we get to our final suspect. Other alibis. Many, like Ianthe and Silas, have no alibi. But there are some we know were together while Gideon and the teens were busy. Palamedes, Camilla, Dulcinea, and Harrow.

I think that honestly rules out Palamedes. I don't know how he'll get around it. Short of next chapter saying "oh yeah he left for a bit" I don't think he has a way around it. Dulcinea, probably not as well, unless she had a really clever plan, with some remote controlled skeletons, and whatever Protesilaus has been instructed to do.

But Harrow.

Let's talk about Harrow.

Palamedes says something in particular. He doesn't trust Ianthe, and he doesn't trust Silas, but he does trust Harrow. Mysteries are about subversion. When you say something like that, in a mystery, there's a good chance you're gonna get completely clowned for it. I personally consider narrative framing as important as hard evidence, but you do need hard evidence alongside it.

One possibility is that Harrow made a duplicate key out of bone. But to use it, she would have had to have left the group she was with. So it's likely impossible for Harrow to have entered the room Gideon and Jeannemary were in.

BUT WHAT IF-

SHE DIDN'T HAVE TO ENTER IT!

What are two of the skills we explicitly saw Harrow learn? We saw her learn to create crazy, regenerating skele-constructs, and we saw her learn to remotely watch Gideon. Who else could have created the creature that attacked Gideon and the others? If it's not Harrow, we'd have to answer that with someone else having developed or already had the skill. It's more narratively elegant if it was simply done by the character we already know learned it — a chekhov's gun that seemingly hasn't gone off yet! That would also explain why it didn't chase down Gideon, despite her carrying a lanky teenager — Harrow would have wanted to kill the Fourth, but leave Gideon, and had to improvise after Gideon took Jeannemary away.

Secondly, how do you kill Jeannemary while Gideon is in the room? And how do you facilitate this entire thing while Gideon is there? Simple. You watch through Gideon. Again, Harrow learning this power is a chekhov's gun that hasn't been fired yet!

There are lot of ways this could have gone. Harrow could have left a trap in the room and activated it with the knowledge she got through Gideon's eyes. Harrow could have simply used her knowledge of what happened inside of the room to tell a skeleton to go, with a copy of the key, and stab Jeannemary, while Gideon slept. Of course, a big assumption in this is that making a copy of the key is actually something that you can do with bone — it seems simple enough, but the powersets are vague in this story and it might just not be on the table.

Of course, there's a big difference between watching and controlling. Did Harrow even know she could pull this off? Well, it's more likely than you think. She probably didn't plan on doing it this way, because she didn't realize Gideon would have saved Jeannemary. She might have only realized it worked when Gideon fell asleep. Or, there were several prior times Gideon was asleep in the story — Harrow could have secretly practiced it during then.

But there's an even simpler way. If Harrow didn't just look through Gideon's eyes, but controlled Gideon. Why did Gideon fall asleep so suddenly? It could have been induced by Harrow's powers. Even if it was natural, it could have been taken advantage of by Harrow. I have to go check and see if Harrow watching through Gideon was actually something Gideon could perceive, or if only Harrow felt the brunt of it. Honestly, once Harrow mastered that power, why wouldn't she constantly surveil through Gideon's eyes?

Edit: Alternatively, Harrow could have used the other power she learned, soul siphoning, specifically to drain Gideon's energy and make her fall asleep.

How, then, could Harrow have actually killed Jeannemary? It could be something she left behind in the room in case. It might be a stretch that Harrow could actually use her powers through Gideon's body. But she also could have just opened the door with Gideon and let a skeleton in.

Now, there's the question of why. And here's the thing: I could completely believe Harrow would do this. We've seen some development between Harrow and Gideon, as they've gotten closer and more trusting. But that's been personal between them. It hasn't been making Harrow a better person. And the overall stakes of this — what being a Lyctor even means — are not something the book has really made clear. That means it's open to reveal the details are something that would believably make Harrow sacrifice others for her own success.

Harrow is one of the most pragmatic and smart players in the game, from the very start. As the game developed, we saw the choice established, between working communally to win and working solo. There are no rules. You can try to win as a group or individually. Harrow worked with others, but every situation in which she did is a situation where it would have been disadvantageous to not, or where it would have made her look bad and untrustworthy. None of that means she doesn't WANT to win solo, or that she isn't willing to kill for her success. Just that she is smart enough to be careful and secretive about it.

And Gideon is still alive.

If anybody else was trying to kill off their rivals to win at the game, why would they leave Gideon alive? Unless their way of killing Jeannemary was absurdly indirect, or they have a very specific plan that goes beyond just rival-killing, why would they leave Gideon? Simple. Because Harrow cares about Gideon — and knows she doesn't have to try to kill her loyal ally.

And the thing is, we already have a guess at what a specific plan might be. Death to the Fourth House, the words in blood said. Whoever did this wants people to think that this was done out of a specific grudge. But as far as I've noticed, we haven't seen any hints of another group having a grudge against the Fourth House, so far. Rather, I think this is a cover. This is Harrow's attempt to explain why the killings would leave Gideon out, while still removing her rivals.

Harrow, I just noticed, was even the one who suggested that Gideon and the teens go downstairs, while she waits upstairs with Palamedes and Camilla. She knows to pick on the targets she can handle.

Most of all, I think the answer should be whatever causes Gideon the most pain. It's one thing if it's a really hot girl. But it's something else if she has to face the person she doesn't realize she cares about so much, but is slowly starting to trust, is actually the killer.

If I could say it in blue right now, I would (I don't know how to do that on tumblr). Harrow killed Isaac and Jeannemary, and possibly others, in an attempt to remove her rivals, using the skills she learned to create great hulking skeletal constructs and to watch through or even control Gideon.

I am not 100% sure. This theory has many holes, some of which can easily be filled in simple ways, but won't necessarily be. There are valid alternate explanations that could be extremely interesting. But out of everything I've got, this is by far the most interesting and believable option I can see.

If I'm wrong, laugh at me later. If I'm right, send me money in the mail and don't spoil me.

Some People Just Want to Watch the World Burn

Here we are again! From what I remember, Josie spends a lot of this episode in her jersey and shorts, so there may not be a lot to say. But let’s find out!

Actually, Josie starts off the epsiode in this white Universal Thread blouse with ruffle sleeves. It’s a bit similar and shape in style than her white blouse from the last episode, but the collar is more traditional, the sleeves are bigger, the fit is flowier, and it just generally looks a little more comfortable. It’s also a button-up, making it fairly standard school-uniform fare, just with lot more personality. The material is somewhat translucent and heathered and the ruffled sleeves are hemmed at the edges to be an isolated detail. Once again, I kind of hate this blouse while simultaneously loving that she wears it. The duality of man.

Once again, a scoop-neck camisole is visible below, as the shirt is slightly translucent, and I would bet it’s the same one or a duplicate. The neckline looks exactly the same. We love a girl who stock-piles multiples of a basic for layering purposes. (Actually, it’s probably the same one. I think it’s fairly standard practice to reuse undershirts once or twice after initial use, so long as there aren’t any major sweat or other stains. But who knows? I also definitely think Josie is neurotic enough to have mutliple.)

I’m once again forced to assume her tie is from ASOS, as I can’t find a listing or google-reverse search Hail Mary anywhere. I think it’s cute (though certainly not my style), but I don’t feel it goes especially well with the outfit. The silver against the white becomes sort of washed out. But the sparkly silver nature of it has a lot more personality than last episode’s tie.

Her hair is also up in her space bun with wisps look! I’m liking it a lot more than I liked her half-up, half-down updo from the first episode. There seems to be a lot of emphasis on pulling her hair back and out of her face and her forehead, though, which is interesting, as I don’t feel like that tendency sticks after the first few episodes. 

The whole look is... not really as well-coordinated as her outfits from last episode, though that may be intentional. As mentioned in my last post, she was putting her best face on for the school tour (or what she thinks of as her best face), but she doesn’t have reason for that now. The whole outfit is a little more childlike and playful than her 1.01 outfits, though, especially with her hair styled the way it is. We’re seeing a bit of a different side to her style personality here.

Also interesting: her not being dressed for the football game yet when Lizzie is. In this episode, she seems less invested in the game in general than Lizzie, and we’ll also see her hesitance about using their powers to win later on. Her lack of enthusiasm could be read into pretty easily here. 

That being said, there’s not an especially screenshot-able moment here, but she’s wearing her plaid unifom skirt along with it, her blouse tucked in as we’re learning is standard for her, and she’s carrying books with her. So it may be more likely that she had a class before the game, and maybe Lizzie had a free period or something.

Once again, tragically, the shoes are only visible in a blur of movement in .7 second shots, but they’re definitely black and they’re either the loafers from last episode (I can own being wrong!) or black dress shoes. My money’s on the loafers. She’s wearing white socks with them, though interestingly, they’re not knee highs this time, at least while she’s in her school clothes. 

The look as a whole reads a lot simpler than her comparable blouse + skirt outfit in 1.01, and more utilitarian.

Adorning her ears are: a two-ring silver cuff sitting highest (maybe hoops, but my best guess would be that they’re not pierced), a gold bar (I think; it’s partially covered by her hair, but this was the best earring shot), and a gold stud directly underneath it.

She’s also sporting some adorable face-paint. Go Stallions!

Aaa, missed one! Her two star-shaped studded flat earrings became more visible in this shot. It’s really cute becaaaauuuse...

Lizzie’s rocking star earrings too! (In the first part of the episode, anyway. She takes them off sometime before the game, which is actually probably smart, lol.) I love finding little details the costume department chose to connect them as sisters and show their closeness. Interestingly, it’s the second episode in a row where Lizzie’s been wearing one longer hanging earring, where Josie’s wearing multiple that rest closer to her ear.

It’s hard to find a lot to say about her outfit when it’s the same as what everyone else is wearing, but: she did change into knee-high socks for the game! They’re striped with grey at the top, giving them a sportier look. Her sneakers are white and striped with either grey or a muted blue. She went for utility here, but makes up for it with the aforementioned adorable hairstyle (that also happens to pull her hair out of her face; smart for running around in the heat), and a ribbon that’s ribbed or sectioned in some way, and matches the cobalt blue of her shorts exactly. (I’m gonna be constantly repeating myself if I keep saying the accesories are likely from ASOS (or a similar store), but that doesn’t make it less true.)

When we next see Josie after the game, she’s dressed for bed in her PJs and she’s let her hair down to fall in its natural waves. The shirt could be from literally anywhere - you can even find a basic scoop neck sleep tee at big box retailers in the apparel sections. Same for the shorts honestly, though these Tangnade drawstring shorts look pretty close. I’m not sure they’re the right shade, though - Josie’s are clearly a muted grey-blue, and the linked shorts fall closer to a pure grey. 

Every girl I know (and I’m sure many non-girls too!) have a pajama look like this. It’s probably my go-to, though I would likely trade the t-shirt for a camisole if possible. It’s especially good if you’re someone who overheats easily in the night.

Not pictured, but Josie’s also wearing blue slippers that match her shorts. Cute!

Favorite Piece: Even though it’s simple, I really like her sleepclothes outfit, as I feel it’s very relatable and Kaylee Bryant can wear simple really well. A big fan of the shorts, personally, as they’re sort of a universal standard.

Sorry i didn't reply immediately! I wanted to get my thoughts in order haha Ok so just replying directly to the original post,

I DID THE SAME THING! When I was rewatching TKO Rules at some point I noticed the book and searched it up, and that got me into looking at Jung's theory of the Shadow, and then how it was like 1 of 4 archetypes. And also how the Shadow just describes TKO perfectly (I remember your post about it too and we talked abt that then). Also the shadow really reminds me of Badeline from Celeste. She's probably an even better example. I found it really fascinating because I like looking into people's interpretations on how people work and function.

The shadow archetype is definitely my favourite and most interesting to me as when they're portrayed in fiction they're bad, but not really? I remember reading up that it's what the person perceives as bad parts of them, and just reminds me of Celeste a lot. Just gonna summarise Celeste's story real quick so my rambles make more sense: Young woman called Madeline decides she wants to climb a mountain. Whole game you control her to get to the top. On one level she finds a mirror, it shatters, and this purple duplicate of her comes out, and tags along at certain parts of the journey but says stuff that Madeline doesn't want to hear. She reminds her "You are not a mountain climber" and says they should just go home. And it's kind of true? Madeline hasn't done anything like this before. It's really dangerous. It would be easier to go home but Madeline is stubborn. She wants to prove a point to herself but even she doesn't really know what the point is. Then there's another point in the game where Madeline is in this old hotel. The owner hasn't had any customers in a long time. Likely decades. He's a ghost now and he doesn't even notice. The hotel is a mess but when he sees Madeline he insists that she stays a night, but to do that the place needs to be tidied first, and Madeline agrees, even if it gets in the way of her own mission. She helps him a lot, but he continues to have problems with his self esteem, and any little thing can set him off. When the two finally get to the hotel suite, Badeline shows up, blasts a hole in the ceiling and helps Madeline to get out of there. Badeline cristicises the hotel owner for making Madeline have to deal with all of his problems. And, yeah she was harsh about it but Badeline kind of had a point there too? Then later in the game Madeline thinks she realises what the best course of action is for her and her counterpart. Madeline actively goes out to look for her, then tells Badeline she doesn't need her anymore. That they're better far apart. And like when TKO was thrown in the subconscious, that was a terrible idea and Madeline gets thrown to the bottom of the mountain, and she loses all of her progress. In that level Madeline realises what Badeline means to her and they reconcile, and together they climb to the very top of the mountain, much faster than Madeline ever did alone. The whole story of it just has a lot of parallels to what i've read about the Shadow, even if it's unintentional as I know the game is a lot about Madeline dealing with her anxiety and depression, and Badeline might just meant to be that, but there's so many similarities I can't be sure. There is one (i guess two but whatever) more level after the game is finished, adding a bit more story. In it Madeline is chasing something which is impossible. This other character in the game called Granny which she had grown fond of had died, but she didn't want to accept it. She chases a bird in space as she thinks it has some connection to Granny. Badeline is there too, and she tells Madeline that the idea is insane, Granny is gone, but Madeline just tells her to go away. Later on in the level Madeline admits that Badeline was right, but she still wants to get to the end of the level, and both Badeline and the bird she was initially chasing help her out and everything becomes so much easier.

It's just, agh the game just shows so clearly that you should accept the "bad" parts of yourself as part of you, as they're not going to go away. And if you do push them away, it's just going to make everything worse. And that just reminds me of the shadow archetype description so much. And of course KO and TKO have a similar thing going on in OK KO but seems a bit redundant we've both watched the TKO episodes a bunch.

And also, unrelated to all that but fitting with archetypes, around February I got my last college assignment of the year where i had to make a game/game concept based of of one or more of the three themes we were given, and one of them was Archetypes and I knew i was doing that one! I had my game focus more on story and characters as that's what I like in games and shows, and had it about one character who gets split into the 4 archetypes (self, persona, shadow and anima/animus) and is sent into a mirror world. Some parts of the character wants to escape, and others want to stay there. The different archetype versions of the character wouldn't exactlyy be like Jung's descriptions, but inspired. The Self character would just be them, (like Madeline and KO), and the Shadow would be a lot like Badeline and TKO. The Persona character I designed around the 12 character archetypes (explorer, lover, sage, ruler, etc), where they would wear different masks in different situations and their whole look would change. It would also be inspired from character classes in RPGs. And then the Anima/Animus character is the least like the original description. I originally wanted to design my main character as androgynous and non-binary, but wouldn't really work, so i designed a more masc and fem-presenting versions so I could have a different design for Anima and Animus, and ig in the context of the game the player would just choose which version of the player they would want to play as. This character would be the exact opposite to the main character personality wise, where they would be a lot more level-headed and sensible. They would also have a kind of spirity look to them because I think i read somewhere that the Anima and Animus usually appear in dreams?

Unfortunately I didn't get to develop everything as much as I wanted to during my project so only had some finished concepts. I don't know what half of the Persona's designs would look like but might finish it at some point, and work on the others.

Just all the stuff on archetypes is so interesting. I don't think it's all really true, but there can be some aspects applied to real life stuff ig. e.g It got me to be nicer to myself as I try harder now to not bury my negative emotions and instead let it out in a healthy way. Also is really interesting to play around with in fiction. I haven't got a completely clear vision for everything that happens in my game yet but I know what all the archetype characters would be like and how they'd act around each other and how the story would go.

Psychology and stuff is just so fascinating, as it's not like science or maths where there's a clear answer. You can't solve a human brain, so people make theories about it, analogies, and it's cool listening to those interpretations and see how they apply to my experiences and others' and the funny little games and shows I like.

so uh, yeah. TLDR: many thoughts

Celeste sounds so interesting i should play it!! I love exploring how a person's mind works, and honestly i think fiction is the best medium for that. Like, you have all these characters who act the way they do for reasons. It's so fun to analyze them and the way they think, act and speak based on their past and the things they went through and the best part is THERES LITERALLY NO RIGHT ANSWER!!! You could interpret a character one way based on your own experiences, and that would be cool. The person next to you might think otherwise, and that would also be cool. There are so many ways you can read a single thing and that's so awesome to me

So. Psychology stuff in cartoons and so on really make my brain vibrate. Because psychology is basically explanations for why people do the things they do. And it works irl too, ill be overthinking like crazy but when I stop i can see that "oh this is that one thing carl jung mentioned about shadow projection" or some variant of it. Like archetypes and the collective unconcious and all that, we have no way of confirming them but theyre still amazing food for thought and they help my brain get less anxious about everything too. Ghhghghh it's. Everything you said. All of that.

Also the game concept you mentioned is so fascinating! I'm kinda hoping it'd come out someday so i can play it and ramble about the psychology rep in it for hours to some random stranger on the street

So this post sometimes pops up in my notifications, and I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately.

I’ve for a long time wanted to share about my thoughts on Siblings in Pixie Hollow. Now, everyone who has watched SotW already knows the whole thing with That The Sparkle, There Were Two… and now we have Tinkerbell’s Laugh Twin, Periwinkle. But what about all the doppelgängers in Pixie Hollow? We all know there are a lot of them, and we also know the real reason behind it is animation shortcuts. It’s simply easier to have copies of the same model used for background characters than to have every fairy be 100% unique.

But what about an in-universe reason? Certainly Laugh Twins are rare, otherwise we’d have sparkling wings all over the place! (And no, i will not get into the whole ‘almost everyone has identical wings and therefore there should be sparkling all the time’ thing.) So Tink and Peri are a very rare case. So the next logical idea is that there must be another case of fairy siblings.

This is something I’ve thought about a lot over the years, and I’m sure I’m not the first person to think this. But wouldn’t it be logical if fairies born from laughs of human siblings would then be considered siblings also? For example, the girl i based my OC Fluss off of has 3 older siblings. If Fluss was born from her laugh and a fast flier (Whom i’ll call Zephyr) was born from her brother’s laugh, would Fluss and Zephyr then be sister and brother? I would certainly think so.

But the other question that I should ask is Would they ever really know their familial relationship? Since fairies don’t have parents (unless say the fairy from my mom’s laugh could be considered the mother to the fairy of my laugh? FOCUS RK.) is there any way to know for sure if certain fairies came from siblings’ laughs? Perhaps not. However there could be some educated guesses made based on appearance.

This brings me back to my favorite Tinker: Clank.

Alright, so as that linked post above mentioned, there’s a fairy at the autumn revelry who looks much like Clank. We’ve gone over this before. But I’ve had a couple people point out to me that this sparrowman is not the only fairy who uses Clank’s model. We also have this one from The Pixie Hollow Bakeoff!

Now looking at him we can see there are a few differences… his hair is brown, his wings are larger, and I feel like his nose curves up a little more than Clank’s. I dunno. But anyway, he’s not an exact duplicate for sure, but there’s a definite resemblance. And I’d also like to point out that while their wings are different sizes, they appear to have the same pattern on their wings. This isn’t as big a deal since wing patterns are repeated all the time. (Just look at the fairy on the left. Same pattern.) However, the doppelgänger from the revelry comes to mind…

WRONG!

I’m thoroughly convinced we see this sparrowman again. Not only that we see him in a separate movie! I believe this sparrowman pops up a second time in SotW.

Yep! I believe the Rainbow Collision (RC) guy is the same fairy as the revelry fairy. They both appear to be the Clank Model (Though RC seems to be thinner.) but they have the same haircut, and RC’s shirt appears to be the same material and cut as the sparrowman from the revelry. Now his wings have a different pattern than Clank and the Baking talent. He actually has the same pattern as Fairy Gary.

That actually brings up another interesting point though. For anyone who didn’t know, Clank and Fairy Gary have the same voice actor; Jeff Bennett. And even though we don’t hear RC very long, we do hear him speak two lines. “How much longer?” And “but the purple’s starting to itch.” And to me, it sounds like it could be one of Bennett’s voices. (I did check the credits at the end, and under additional voices, it only lists Dee Bradley Baker… so I don’t know. I’m probably wrong about it being Bennett even though they sound similar.)

Anyway, the point i’m trying to make is due to similar appearances and similar voices, the baker and the revelry fairy and Clank could all have been born from the laughs of siblings. So i’m going to stand by my head canon that Clank has a brother, except now… he has TWO!

On to the jobs. I’m not sure how exactly, but this description finally made the oddities of the Kecleon shop click into place for me. Why could I get a Wonder Gummi for free? Why could I pilfer some Rare Fossils and not get aggro’d for it? Why am I able to just pick up this Golden Mask and walk away?

Because these items aren’t normally offered in shops. I just assumed the “Thief!” script applied to every item taken from a shop without paying. And it does, normally. But it doesn’t cover items not meant for sale! Because why bother?

Hehe, that just means more goodies for me 😈

Andrea wanted to learn Helping Hand and I went “Eh, why not? Could be useful sometime.” So I exchanged it for Iron Defense, which hasn’t been super useful so far.

Pro tip: Don’t do this. I ended up regretting it (you’ll see why later). What I should have done was get rid of Helping Hand. Honestly, I’m probably going to the move reminder the moment the opportunity presents itself.

Second, I think that’s the least of your problems, buddy. Believe me, I’ve had cocoon Pokémon teammates before, and they don’t even move! It’s a real mood killer.

With that in mind, we naturally answer the call. 

Before we left, a Gummi drink gave me a new IQ Skill: Brick-Tough! This is a very welcome addition. As you can see, now Teresa’s and Andrea’s HP is nearly the same!

what a good recommendation. thank you for sharing.

i am very tickled by the fact that this is a spinoff of astro boy, i'm reading it without ever having consumed ANY astro boy media, AND astro boy himself dies in it (for a time.) every one of these factors is *chef's kiss*. i love the idea that someone will put their whole heart into creating a spinoff like this and not hold back whatsoever.

i will note that everyone having a large nose makes it a little difficult to distinguish characters sometimes. like haas and gesicht. but it's also refreshing to have a manga artist who does not hold back when drawing noses. and i'll admit the noses are powerful.

i'm reading a scanlation by stephen paul and mangascreener and i think they've done a great job (insofar as i can say that without having seen the raws). i mean there's no foolish grammatical errors or anything. well, very few. i have no sense of how long ago this translation occurred. might've been when the manga was coming out.

the themes around AI and emotion and humanity are compelling… i'm just absorbing everything without forming thoughts of my own.

i notice robots are hetero. i'm sure there's nothing stopping them from falling in love in non-hetero ways though. and they can raise human children…? i want to see a family with three robot moms and one human kid. the luckiest kid in the world with her amazing strong three robot moms.

the idea of making strong robot cops and soldiers that look like normal middle-aged white men. and not even really sexy ones. maybe if they were too sexy it would be distracting?

the idea of a world with sentient AI robots who can be easily destroyed and are irreplaceable. the mind itself can't be backed up and stored somewhere? you have to just accept that it can't. [note added after reading the whole thing: they address the idea that a mind can be copied and put into a new robot body and that it then becomes a new being. this must be the school of philosophy the author adheres to with respect to duplication of minds)

when pluto stopped possessing the park guy's body and the other guy was like "now come to your only TRUE body…" and pluto emerged up from something wet. robot bodies are usually the opposite of wet. that's how you make a killer robot extra scary. have its body be wet.

tenma is just gendo ikari with a pompadour… right down to the glasses shape. says his son hates him. wife's dead

of course you will think an AI is a failure if you're creating it to try to replicate a certain person…

all these anti-robot microaggressions oh my god

pluto's true form is revealed with no explanation as to why it had to be wet earlier

it switched to a different scanlation group and the quality immediately went down haha… and some chapters later, this new group translated it as "gejihit" instead of "gesicht." they misunderstood the (ostensible) protagonist's name. the guy whose face is on the cover. they didn't bother to learn that guy's name before taking on the translation project.

i wonder if gesicht was so named not because of the significance of the german word Gesicht (which just means "face") but because of how it sounds transliterated in japanese, as gejihito, where "hito" means "person" and "geji" could mean "command/order" (as in taking commands or orders). also "gejigeji" means "house centipede" (irrelevant)

been a while since i took any manga screenshots to comment on but i had to for this one: https://gyazo.com/edf86995592bc2a56bfec0f94ad9ddf8 i want a math person to tell me how many words it would take to express that formula verbally. this is a human guy saying a big stupid formula out loud to a robot. if the recipient is a robot, you can give him a microsd card or have him visually scan a piece of paper. formulas like those are hell to say out loud, right? dumbass tenma. this is my unhelpful commentary.

you could hold some of these people's noses in the palm of your hand like a small apple.

lately i've been paying extra attention to how facial expressions in manga portray emotions. the range of facial expressions shown on characters tends to be kind of set within one manga (you rarely see an established mangaka bust out an expression the likes of which you've never seen in their work), but each mangaka has a distinct way to do it. it's their take on the breadth of human emotions. the faces in ranking of kings are very unique and full of heart and also often endearingly clumsy and also sometimes confusing and vague. but they work! the faces in pluto are in a completely different style and also seem to encompass different emotions, but they also work and are clearly full of heart. there is POWER in well-executed facial expressions. it is narrative power and emotional power. it's COMMUNICATION. and one manga where the facial expressions do not communicate well with me is stupid jujutsu kaisen where if someone is in a tense moment they just make a face like 8| and it's like, that face doesn't mean anything. that face isn't showing anything. and that's one reason i have mercilessly declared that jujutsu kaisen is lacking in heart. jujutsu kaisen never made me fuckin cry! (maybe it did. i forget.) it's got nothing but Coolness. you can't build a whole good manga solely on Coolness. it's not a matter of genre or technical artistic skill. this has been the obligatory shitting on jujutsu kaisen of this post.

they really gave pluto a cute design. i'm very satisfied. he's got teeth, and i like that. still no word on why he is or was wet. he opened his mouth and it made saliva strings. machine oil? or still wet?

astro boy gets powered up by the power of hate…

when you don't read manga for a while, you lose track of the approximate scale of how many mangas there are and what proportion of them might be very good. i'm very pleased to find there is a manga this good that i had never heard of. (except maybe once. i do have a vague memory of seeing a tumblr post about naoki urasawa's noses.)

it is very like a president of the united states of ******* to become willingly ensnared in the machinations of an entity that clearly only ever had bad intentions

i had true doubt as to whether the world would end, right up until the middle of the last chapter. i can appreciate that. i also couldn't have predicted that final panel. but i appreciate that unpredictability too.

i hate the adjective "gritty." maybe because in my mind the connotation is of a "gritty reboot" that takes something good and turns it into something stupid by trying to make it edgy and morally dubious. like… have you read the unreleased early draft movie script for louis sachar's Holes? forced edginess to the point where it's ridiculous and it doesn't Hit. "gritty" is like imagine dragons (diss). i don't want to describe this manga as "gritty" because i don't want to insult this manga. it doesn't have any of the surface-level manufactured darkness of something "gritty." it has proper darkness and proper philosophical and moral quandaries. and it has beauty.

how do i decide which mangas to write posts about as i read vs which to let simmer without putting my thoughts into words? i dunno.

1. When are you usually online? It’s spotty nowadays because of school, but otherwise -- always. I’m usually checking my phone the most or popping on the comport to check the activity page or scroll the dash. I’m always on my phone exclusively reading in tags and hanging around in IM’s if they’re blowing up. I’m eastern standard time in the U.S. so I’m particularly on my phone around 10-12 and my computer is varied.

2. What verses are you involved in? Yes. Just check the verses page I got one too many: Tokyo Ghoul, Destiny, Naruto, Witcher, Avatar The Last Airbender, InuYasha, Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, Hellsing, Black Butler, Final Fantasy VII, and Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss.

3. What is your biggest RP pet peeve? When people obviously don’t read my rules, particularly any of the information on my muse on the blog before or after interacting. I have everything on SakuYoru on this blog that should cover just about all things real-life and fictional. Usually I get the occasional hypotheticals or needed clarifications, which I do enjoy dearly, but I always have been able to tell in the interactions when someone hasn’t done the needed homework. People always specify needing all information on an OC somewhere on the blog and I have it -- then they don’t do their own part reading it. Which goes in tandem with blogs that set up a muse page but have zero information on their muse or the verse they intend to write them in -- this is particular with canon muse blogs, and this leaves me confused despite knowing what canon character their roleplaying with. I also hate when there isn’t a tag for posts, particularly OOC ones so I can just block it without issue. I also have a problem with people following the blog and never interacting or reaching out at some point -- this is exclusively for those who I tried interacting with and received zero answers or was outright ignored, because I myself am extremely socially awkward and anxious so interacting is hard even with mutuals at times, and being ignored while seeing apparent favoritism is just... It cripples my confidence y’know, so I end up doing a clean-out to see who cares or not.

4. Are you drawn to specific types of muses? Them broody dark types always get me. Any character with a dark trauma-filled past basically. Bonus points if they make SakuYoru think and want to come out of their shell.

5. Are there reoccurring themes in your writing that people might not notice? I’m the one who doesn’t notice, so I have no idea m’self. I think I switch between 1st/2nd and 3rd person with SakuYoru in my writing, and lean on descriptions of the character, environment, and what the character is perceiving in real time. It’s the details that SakuYoru catches, and I want that conveyed always that they are always aware.

6. What are your favourite RP trends? I don’t even know what is trending right now on Tumblr. I live under a whole different rock even on the internet. I guess one of those aesthetic boards.

7. What is your process for starting a new story with someone? Plotting spooks me, so anything off an ask or meme that’s turned into a thread is much preferred. I think a given concept of a thread is what can roll with but I prefer that go-with-the-flow vibe.

8. How do you feel about duplicates? SakuYoru is my own OC, so I don’t think there will be duplicates there better fucking not be owo. I have had suspicions when people suddenly pull an idea out after interacting with SakuYoru and add a few copypastes, but I’ve anxiously assumed that 2 times on my whole time on Tumblr. 

9. How long have you been involved in roleplaying? *squints* 2009/2010 for sure. Assuming you’re not counting the weird larp/roleplay shenanigans kids do with their siblings through characters in multiplayer video games.

10. Is there a muse or verse you could write in, but haven’t? I think I got everything covered so far. I do have to get around to that Bloodborne, League of Legends, and any sub verses within other completed verses.

1. When are you usually online?

I usually have my phone, so I lurk often.  I don’t typically post any content IC wise unless I’m on my desktop.  So I’m most likely to be on at night before bed. Given energy and muse cooperate.

2. What verses are you involved in outside of this page?

Aside from the Dissidia being more or less a FF crossover, my goal is to have a verse for every Final Fantasy just because I can and I want to.  Currently the only ones actively available are for VII and XIII.  I’ve been musing with XIV for a while, but nothing official for that one yet. Outside of FF, there’s Monster Hunter, Kingdom Hearts, and Pokémon... Others I’ve kinda been developing on the side are a pirate verse, monster hunting verse, and a verse for Resident Evil.

3. What is your biggest RP pet peeve?

Good question.  There’s little things that are annoying, but not enough to really call them pet peeves.  I suppose I’d go with discrediting headcanons and interpretations because you don’t like them or that’s not how you would see the character.  More of the canon side of things, but goes for OCs, too, because I have several friends that rp their OCs.  I’ve seen, and had an experience, where anons would question or disagree with how a muse is portrayed, and to that effect, just go make your own? Don’t try to change someone's portrayal I guess.  Simple as that.

4. Are you drawn to specific types of muses?

Morally skewed?  I like villains so...  And I know Beatrix isn’t quite a villain, but she does commit questionable things.  I’d write her in more situations I can draw out that darker side of her if opportunities arise~  Aside from that, I’ve noticed the more prominent characters I take on are touched by some degree of loneliness.

5. Are there recurring themes in your writing that people might not notice?

Not sure if it’s just me, since I can be a little oblivious.  But I’ll try to carry the character’s mood into my writing.  Like in Seymour’s writing, he’s knowing and playful.  For Beatrix, I try to work some form of struggle that’s not actually expressed through actions or words because she’s so guarded.  Ways things are worded are according to that character, I guess.  Makes more sense in my head. I’m also conscious about how often I use “rather”, “merely”, and “though”

6. What are your favorite RP trends?

*shrugs*  I just wanna have fun and write yo.

7. What is your process for starting a new story with someone? 

Simply tossing muses at one another is fine.  If we’re building something more, I typically want to get to know the other mun a little- what they’re willing to write and want to write.  Sometimes just throwing ideas and muse reactions around ends up developing into things.

8. How do you feel about duplicates?

For my comfort, I typically don’t follow or interact with them.  There’s only been one exception and I still chat with them now and again.

9. How long have you been involved in roleplaying?

Since 2018? So 4 years.  Am babe compared to friends tho. Haha

10. Is there a muse or verse you wish you could write in, but haven’t?

I’m pretty excited to write in any of my verses, or the ones that’ll eventually be created.  So as for muses to write with Bea... One Beatrix-obsessed Zenos, please.  Draw out that beast. <3

Guidelines for Requesting

Hello, all! It’s been a little while now that I’ve dived head-first into the EXO fanfic community and I’ve loved getting to be a part of it! I’ve so enjoyed receiving asks from this lovely community—y’all are so creative, I swear! 🤗

With that in mind, I’ve compiled a list of guidelines for requesting now that I’ve had time to adjust my bearings and figure out what I’m eager and comfortable in writing about.

SO, if you would like to submit a request, please read the guidelines below before submitting! 📝❤️

Rules for All Requests:

Ensure that requests are OPEN, as indicated on my main page, before submitting a request. If you do happen to submit a something when requests are closed, just note that I will need to finish other requests first.

I write exclusively for EXO and the majority of my content is for Kyungsoo; however, I will also accept requests for Baekhyun, Suho, Xiumin, and Chanyeol. Absolutely nothing against Lay or Sehun, or Kai for sure, but my writing just doesn’t flow for them as easily as for the others. (Though they may show up as side characters…you never know! 😉). 

I will not accept requests for Chen out of respect for his marriage.

Please only include one member per request, unless there is a specific scenario that involves more than one (e.g., Kyungsoo and Chanyeol going on a walk with his dog). 

Some requests may produce longer or shorter fics, just depends on the time that I have

I am foraying into writing smut–but please specify if you are okay with/would like your request to be suggestive or if you would prefer strict fluff.

Smut content will always be labeled with a warning, so if you are under 18, please do not read.

I will not accept requests that include any of the following: suicide, stalking, kidnapping, cheating, violence/assault, yandere, or anything involving underage minors whatsoever. 

I keep my Y/N’s pretty neutral, so I don’t include a lot of identifying information, including specifics on ethnicity, weight, religion, etc., though there may be indications of how tall Y/N is. 

Please do not submit the same request to multiple different authors. I will not accept requests that are duplicates/too similar to others that I’ve seen or read because I don’t want to risk content being too similar. 

Take a look at my completed Masterlist (link in bio) to ensure another similar request has not already been done.

Please be patient–I try to get to requests in a timely fashion, but it may take a few weeks depending on how much time I have to write at any given time. 

If you submit a request, I will answer it when I am finished with your request. I will post a link to the story for you to access.

Olivia’s stomach was marred by diastasis recti after Daisy’s pregnancy, that’s why she always wore one piece swimsuits and a high waisted bikini with Harry. Link to one of the dozens of tweets he posted about it. There would be nothing wrong with that, but uh… she doesn’t have that…

Then, apparently this picture of Harry and Olivia was not actually Olivia ??? When the video came out, it was #confirmed a deep fake by the voices in his head his insiders. Did I say CONFIRMED already? It’s been PROVEN

Wait wait TWO sources confirmed the woman in the video was a friend of Allesandro’s (I guess his sources don’t know how to spell Alessandro’s name) with Olivia’s face deepfaked. What sources someone asks? “Mine” he says “I work in the industry” LINK

When we got clear pics that could not be denied of them together in Italy (a day later, this is embarrassing), he turned on Harry but was ratioed the explanation was “the check cleared”

He never went back to acknowledge that it was in fact Olivia in the pics and videos from before btw, that he was wrong and pulled it out of his ass

The check cleared because Harry was broke! He had *reads smudged writing on palm of hand* investment losses on apps and hedge funds *mumbles* LINK, btw “expect tour cancelation” 🤨 that did not happen. Hm.

Harry is “hemorrhaging money”

US tour rescheduled everything else canceled! You heard it here first folks! This was July 14 when Harry announced the US tour would go as planned (it wasn’t rescheduled, he just moved the first few shows to the back). So he was “half right” the half being the the rest of the tour would be canceled. Now that we know the rest of the tour was not, in fact, canceled… is he gonna admit he was wrong? NOPE

Sources confirm that Anne hates Olivia! (November 2021) awkwarddddd considering the amount of lovely interactions we had of them together this year including Anne wearing Olivia’s necklace. I mean I guess the check cleared? Anne is in need of money because of her shady investments??

This man does NOT HAVE ACCESS TO ANY TEXT MESSAGES. Anyone with an iPhone, do this exercise, go save your own phone number or email (the one logged in on iMessage), with the name “Florence Pugh” and text it. You’ll get a text. Fake the conversation, just like he did. Then delete the duplicates. Ta da!

As for the 1 pic of Florence with her dog. All he had to do was go through her following list and find someone semi obscure who may have posted a photo or has a highlight with a picture of Flo and her dog from around the time these texts supposedly happened. Florence is a famous actress but she doesn’t have a huge dedicated fanbase. And furthermore, Harry’s fans are in no way familiar with her close circle. How would we find that picture? It’s a needle in a haystack. The “FaceTime call” grab a video of her talking to the camera, take a still frame, stick the buttons on top. Boom.

For the love of god that unhinged man is NOT AN INSIDER OF ANY KIND. Another important point is that the texts don’t show the date, a huge mistake made by him in this case. All the texts show only the hour. Why? Because they’re not old texts from 2020, they’re texts he sent himself right now. If the texts were old they’d say the date next to the time stamp. So unless Shia was randomly screenshotting his regular everyday conversations back in JULY 2020 with Florence, weeks before he would even exit, as he texted along, then those texts are 100% F A K E. Literally even the texts I sent my family yesterday say “yesterday” next to the hour. Just imagine Shia LaBeouf sends a text to every random person every single day and then screenshots it 🤪 for the bants! There was “no conflict” huh?

I beg you to save his tweets I’m sending you where he’s proven wrong somewhere because he’s for sure gonna delete them now

Current Activities in Gaming #230

Since my last Starfield post I discovered a handful of mods that really "make" a character. I believe I had already spiked Contraband prices. That 13k might look good but once you get it to a vendor that quickly turns into 3k which isn't much more than guns and spacesuits you can sell without having to avoid ship scans.

But there's two mods that allow you to harvest organs. One is called "Recycle Scum", wherein based on your Medicine/Zoology skills you can harvest corpses for the "Harvested Organs" contraband. Pretty dark, but another one came along that made it even darker. Called "chopshop". Every npc you kill comes with a 40 pound "corpse" item which themselves can be converted into contraband. I then made the above character, nicknamed "The Bloody Butcher". I also downgraded my contraband prices from 5x to 3x, because I was just drowning in organs after a certain point.

As dark as it is I'm enjoying playing the game in an entirely different way. Often having to balance my greed with my carry weight. Once you go over encumbrance, the slightest little jog will completely tank your oxygen and you'll be unable to sprint and start losing health. The Personal Atmosphere ability cancels this out... except for the fact that I am sometimes full of corpses before entering an enemy base. So I'm constantly juggling Personal Atmosphere with Reactive Shield to reduce incoming damage. I basically have to time my engagements with one or the other, and it's pretty awesome.

This is very likely the reason I haven't entered a 'cooldown' period with Starfield yet. Every time I consider taking a break a mod comes along that makes me think "Oh I need to hit Unity and start a playthrough to utilize this".

I've also spent a bit more time with ship building and I've become a bit more savvy with it. I've learned I can CTRL+Click things to target multiple items, which even works with the duplication hotkey and coloring. I've figured out cockpits have a different "entry" point so you can't just slap them all on the top of the ship, you need to figure out where its backdoor is. I've also learned why I have so much trouble with docker modules, basically no other item can go past it, even a weapon mount. I guess because it would clip with the ship you're docking with. That was always the problem I ran into with that, and figured out that the extra weapon mounts I was placing was interrupting my ship's ability to dock.

I still have more plans for ship building as well which certainly keeps me playing, because I don't just want to look at it and go "ah, pretty"... I want to put it to use.

I forget if I've mentioned this within my last couple of posts but I really like space combat and traversal... except with how shallow it is. Once you're done with an encounter it's done. Major space battles only happen a couple of times. The end of the Crimson Fleet is one, and there's a side quest helping a cabal of farmers fight off various teams of spacers though even that one is just a 3v1. Most space combat fights only take a few seconds and I'm REALLY holding out for the Creation Kit to let modders beef up enemy health values, or have enemy ships level alongside me. There's already mods like that for on-foot enemies, but not for ships. I think it's because people can't really edit any vanilla ship modules right now, just add onto what's there. I also wouldn't mind some level of damage scaling. I run around with a 4,000 shield module and rarely lose half of it.

Space combat was intense and exciting at first. You got the Frontier, worst ship in the game, and it sort of teaches you like "Okay, what are you lacking, upgrade that, add a new cannon here..." But like me if you've played for a couple hundred hours you can pretty much go to a ship technician right out the gate and just throw a few things on it to make half the game's space combats trivial. (Combination of a better shield and those Vanguard autocannons).

I'm enjoying the game but I am also slowly running out of content. A lot of what I'm doing is prepwork for my eventual "alright let's do all the side quests" run. Not quite there yet.
