Also that one episode in the second season / later volumes that was basically a repeat. The one with Saiki being invisible while Teruhashi tries to find him. We've already scene this exact same sitch play out, there's no development to either their characters or relationship, everyone knows their deal at this point so it's not even funny.... The anime should've replaced this one with the YouTube episode SMH, 10000% more value.

Not necessarily overhyped but I personally would have never picked the domestic abuse chapters to be the first ones in the series hsfjdlshfks. Yeah it's funny but like. It's still domestic abuse. Let's save the terrible home life for when the audience is more invested yeah? Though I guess people also don't notice the domestic abuse as much since it's front-loaded maybe?? I would like to see some research on this sort of thing tbh!!

22) your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores

All of the Aiura moments... She's always so so funny and sweet, and the way she and Saiki interact is wonderful, she's the person he's the most real around (Toritsuka doesn't count because he mostly gets Saiki's bad side for good reasons hsfjdlshfks).

When they work so well together at saving Yumehara's life despite being strangers... When Aiura shows so much kindness to Mera and is so determined to help her that Saiki ends up helping her even though he was originally against it... When Saiki saves Aiura from the gang and she still trusts him completely even though they'd fought and Saiki just did something violent, which most other people would consider monstrous... Her willingness to help out Saiki anytime, no questions asked, just because she cares about him... Their hilarious & effective co-performances against Imu and Yumehara (as Kaido)... When Aiura realizes "lucky feel" moments / her usual methods of seduction won't work and switches to just finding out when Saiki's free and hanging together eating dessert + talking... When Saiki clearly enjoys those dates so much that he immediately agrees to another in his tsundere way when she asks him... When Saiki chases her around for coffee jelly, so brain-empty and silly (see: my blog header)... Her faith that Saiki will fix things even when he has a death mark on him too... When Saiki trusts her with the fate of the world... When Saiki's clones carry her so closely when they could literally just levitate her completely physically apart and she never tries to cop a feel or get fresh... When she asks Saiki if he wants a kiss and respects his "no" but just has to share the physical comfort they both need in that moment...

And yet everyone always mischaracterizes her and cheapens her relationship with Saiki, especially when favoring another ship for him.

Or they think that she would be soooooo emo about it if Saiki rejected her. Hello?? She literally told him to fuck off because he tried to stop her from helping people, and did NOT look back or change her mind. Just because she's into bdsm doesn't mean she's going to compromise her morals for a dude, even if he's her soulmate. And she's clearly had no trouble pulling dudes before, so it's not like she'll be pining after him for long if he's being a dick.

On the other hand, she knows he's tsundere as fuck and that she'd have to play the long game with him, and she's clearly fine with it. She has confidence in her powers and has already seen how well they work & play together, so it's just a matter of time.

HONESLY??? I am most curious about Roland like tell me every lil thing about him. I wanna know about him like. Where'd the PTSD come from. How's he handling life now. Does he have a fave chill 'down time' activity.

Roland was one of my first Pathfinder characters and he is very dear to me. As a result this got long because I got a bit overzealous, so I’m putting this under a cut.

Okay so chill time is the short answer so we’re going with that first lol. Roland is very very bad at relaxing, he is high strung and tends to keep himself busy. When his friends do manage to pull him away from his work for a bit, he likes to whittle. He’s not necessarily good at it, but he finds it soothing. He also habitually writes in his journal, he keeps very thorough notes on everything that happens (I actually have a separate blog which is his canon journal of events from our first Pathfinder game, @roland-terrasold-blog. It’s incomplete because I don’t ever finish anything but I actually got pretty far lol.)

As for the PTSD…there’s a lot of context to explain that.

The short answer is that he had a very rough childhood up through his young adulthood, all leading up to doing something terrible that ended up haunting him. On top of almost dying/literally dying depending on how you look at it, and a childhood friend coming back as a crazed vengeful undead who blamed him for her death and purposeful violently triggered him with his dead lover’s body.

The long answer:

Roland is an orphan, no idea who is parents are and no interest in finding out. He was in an orphanage in infernal Cheliax, but…the end result of aging out of an orphanage in Cheliax is being handed off to the nobility to be used as potential slaves or sacrifices to the nobles devil summons. So at a young age Roland decided he wasn’t sticking around for that, and instead risked the dangers of the streets of Westcrown. He ended up living with other street kids for a number of years, and became particularly close with two others: Ashton and Emmery. Emmery however was extremely ill, and they knew if she didn’t get medicine she’d eventually die.

Roland and Ashton decided to try to steal medicine from a storehouse of the Council of Thieves. They got caught however. They by sheer luck managed to kill the young thief who caught them, and escaped. They knew if they stuck around the thieves guild would hunt them down for what they did, and Emmery and the other kids would get caught up in it as well, so they skipped town. Eventually they left Cheliax altogether, and joined a mercenary band called the Dragon Raiders.

The Dragon Raiders took any job that paid well enough. It was for survival, it was necessary to keep themselves off the streets and fed. Like a frog being slowly boiled, it was easy to justify as things got slowly worse, more morally grey, more violent, their methods more cruel. At the same time, Roland and Ashton got into a romantic relationship that quickly became very unhealthy. Ashton was passionate, possessive, jealous. Roland knew that Ashton was getting more sadistic and cruel in their missions, but he couldn’t quite let go of the idea of the person he’d known all his life, and the relationship they’d always had.

One night the Raiders took on a mission, which Roland was told was to clear out an encampment of devil worshippers. What they found was more like a small village, of tieflings and devil blooded people sure, but the settlement did not hold the horrors he’d been told. Despite that, they did their job.

What he found was that they were just people. Afterwards, he was horrified with what he’d allowed the Raiders to make him and Ashton into, and with the acts they’d committed. He tried to convince Ashton to leave with him, but Ashton lashed out at the idea. He felt like Roland was trying to drag them down, that Roland wanted them to go back to the destitution they lived in before joining the Dragon Raiders, that he’d forgotten what life was like beforehand. They got into an ugly fight, in which Ashton almost drew his scythe on Roland, before Roland backed down.

Roland left the Dragon Raiders in the middle of the night, sneaking out when Ashton was asleep. He abandoned his blood red armor, except a single pauldron he kept as a reminder of his actions and to never become complacent and just thoughtlessly follow orders again. He travelled pointlessly for a year, taking off jobs but having no real purpose.

Then he took a job as a soldier. And in that battle he should have died. He was stabbed through the heart with a lance. In that place between life and death, he was visited by a yhohm, one of the goddess Sarenrae’s divine servants. The mythical bird told him that he had so much wasted potential, and that if he would dedicate his life to repenting for his past deeds and walk the Path of Truth and Light, then he could have a second chance at life. Roland agreed, and he awoke later in the silent abandoned battleground, a phoenix feather and a holy symbol of Sarenrae on his chest, atop his heart—which was healed besides a scar that proved it was not all just a dream.

It later turned out that this was actually not what happened. Roland was stabbed in the heart, but his heart was replaced with an artifact that has Sarenrae’s herald Sunlord Thalachos trapped within. Roland is not *technically* entirely alive, he’s a type of undead called a graveheart, which is a rare undead powered by positive energy that can absorb the memories of others via their hearts. The vision was all an illusion, created by a follower of the Runelord of Greed Karvoug, who needed Roland to become a powerful cleric to fulfill a prophecy of his own making—he’d implanted the souls of his friends and advisors from 10000 years ago into each of the party members and was going to use each of them as a sacrifice to bring Ancient Thessalon back to the present day, despite the chaos and deaths that would cause for the modern peoples. The soul Roland had was of a cleric to the Peacock Spirit, so Roland needed to become a powerful cleric to mirror him.

Emmery came back as a vengeful graveheart herself who thought Ashton and Roland abandoned her. She murdered Ashton and threw his mutilated corpse at Roland’s feet and basically triggered him so hard he went catatonic for a day. He uses a scythe now because when he discovered he was a graveheart he ended up absorbing all of Ashton’s memories after taking back his heart from Emmery, so he uses it out of memory because even though Ashton was not a good person Roland still holds affection for the memory of him. He ended up putting Emmery to rest, and later resurrected her as an actual person again so she could live a real life—because she’d only been doing the things she did because being a graveheart had made her unstable (Roland is an exception because of Sunlord Thalachos, most gravehearts go violently undead monster like she did)

So yeah that’s Roland. He’s been through a lot. But he’s also had good friends, and a lot of support, and his faith has been unshakable. By the end of the first campaign he was in a fairly good place, he was at peace with himself, he knew what he was working towards, he knew he’d done good things and would continue to do good, and he was all around working on himself.

Then Sarenrae died after the Hell Arc and that definitely set him back some, although he had work that needed to be done so there wasn’t time for him to focus on mourning and hurting, he’d been tasked with leading and growing a new following for her successor Valoria. And that pretty much takes up the rest of his very very long life.

Since he’s undead and kept alive by a celestial in his artificial heart, Roland could theoretically live forever. He doesn’t want to live forever, he wants to rest eventually. Roland ends up living for 300-800 years or so, then when Valoria’s following has come into its own enough that he feels they don’t need his guidance anymore, he’ll release Sunlord Thalachos and finally rest. After that his spirit and Thalachos’ fuse into Valoria’s herald, Arbitor Thrask, a four winged platinum skinned angel with a hole in his chest that has a soft gentle light in it when viewed by good people, a void when viewed by neutral people, and a burning blinding light when viewed by evil people.

oh, john. i think i answered this last time, but i can talk about john winchester until im frail and gray, so im happy to answer this again.

idk what redeemable means. idk that redemption is something any of us decides as viewers. idk, i’ve thought a lot about forgiveness this year, and i’ve thought a lot about sam and dean and john and whether they’ve forgiven john for how he raised them and treated them. and honestly, i think the show can’t decide if he’s forgiven either, which is why these later seasons are so wishy-washy on how john gets referenced. how you can have the boys home and dean saying things got dicey and sam saying dean protected sam from john, while also having an episode like lebanon that intentionally calls back forgiveness feelings sam expressed all the way back in season 1, and yet also gives us a deleted scene where dean calls john by his first name for the first time and sam seems shocked they’d choose to honor him in the same breath as mary and bobby and cas.

and i guess what i’m trying to get at here is that even if the show had somehow found a way to make john seem like a good father, i wouldn’t be the one to decide if he’s actually redeemed or forgiven. and on top of this, forgiveness is an incredibly difficult, complicated, and personal experience. we forgive people for different reasons but ultimately for ourselves, because we can’t go on living with the hurt of what happened to us anymore, which is how you can forgive someone without them knowing you had a problem or someone who’s long-since died. and why i bring this up, is because even with john depicted as he is, even if the show didn’t try to “redeem” him, i get the sense sam and dean have forgiven him anyway, and that’s more than enough for me.

as for if he’s complex, that’s a hard yes lol. i just rewatched the henry episode, and i think that ep does a really great job of complicating john further, even complicating dean (and to a lesser extent sam). so yeah, i think john is complex. i think he’s layered. i also don’t think that excuses anything, and that’s where other people’s takes sometimes irk me a bit. john isn’t either good or bad. there’s no fucking excuse for what he did to his kids, but i can hold that truth in my heart the same way i can hold an absolute tenderness for a man who loved his boys and loved his wife and had no blueprint for being a good father.

lol is he in love with azazel? yeah, that’s a no from me, but y'all have fun with the ship i support you 10000%.

It was the first time in literal YEARS I followed a fic being uploaded and it’s what got me so invested in this fandom and WANT to write for this fandom. Pega is also like my favorite fanfic author ever and she just gets Blunder like no one else can, really nailing the mix of complete idiots who can’t function but who are also good at their own thing. Seriously, while waiting for s5b, I kept saying that, no matter what happens, at least we have see you on the b side, babe. I was prepared to accept this as my canon. A bunch of us were planning to make a podfic of it. It’s the ultimate blunder fanfic.

And okay I know I said one writer per section but I highly recommend her groundhog day inspired fic (and not just because it has piano gob moments but that’s obviously a bonus with me) and her beautiful bipolar!Gob fic, Magic, Not Drugs. OMG first of all, thanks! These are  some of my favorite questions to ask about these two and one of the reasons I keep writing fanfiction about them LOL. Second, THIS IS SO LONG, I APOLOGIZE LOL I AM OUT OF CONTROL SOMEONE TAKE THE COMPUTER AWAY PLZ.

I have another ask about the topic of intimacy with the blood sharing that I’ll get to at some point and I really think my feelings about both of these asks are tied into each other. I’ll talk more about the blood thing later with the other ask but TLDR: I think this is one of those areas in the books where your opinions/feelings/personal experiences/etc heavily color the way you read the text. The Devil’s Minion chapter is packed with tiny glimpses into their lives and covered a lot of time in their relationship in relatively few words and you can puzzle together a lot of clues and read a lot into it but I do think that the way you feel about sex, relationships, addiction, intimacy, etc. really shapes the way you fill the gaps.

So spending time around this fandom and reading various peoples’ meta and fic and RP and headcanons has lead me to observe that this is a space that’s heavily interpretable and different people read it differently. And that’s cool!!!!!!!! But I say that because I can’t speak for everyone and I don’t have the Correct Answer, I just have like, what I get out of it and how I feel about it based on my own life and my own experiences and my own emotional response to the text. So I’ll break down your ask and try to answer these questions and I hope that you understand where I come from, and feel free to ask other blogs too and see what other people have to say cause I do think this is something that doesn’t have a universal answer! :D

AND~!!!! I don’t want this to turn into a fic promo or anything cause I think that’s obnoxious, but I generally have more fun expressing my headcanons and interpretation of these characters by writing fic so I do get into this a lot in my fics! So if any of you enjoy my fanfiction I hope this also offers a little insight to where I write them from. :)

HERE WE GO:

—— Why did Daniel have to bed the unfortunates?

“Men and women fell in love with Armand, of course, “so innocent, so passionate, so brilliant!” You don’t say. In fact, Armand’s power to seduce was almost beyond his control. And it was Daniel who must bed these unfortunates, if Armand could possibly arrange it, while he watched from a  chair nearby, a dark-eyed Cupid with a tender approving smile. Hot, nerve-searing, this witnessed passion, Daniel working the other body with ever greater abandon, aroused by the dual purpose of every intimate gesture. Yet he lay empty afterwards, staring at Armand, resentful, cold.”

First of all, I wanna define “have to”. There’s the obvious “have to” because Armand’s dick don’t work, but I don’t think he was being forced or that he wasn’t enjoying himself. I think the “You don’t say.” is really telling in this paragraph and nails in Daniel’s sarcastic tone, especially if we keep drawing back to remember that he’s telling this story and reminiscing about all this from the streets, broke and cold and sick. And he’s bitter and mad!!

But the whole chapter, and Daniel’s character in general even starting with him in IWTV, is about how seduced he is by vampires. This edges on coercion, especially when you take his addiction into consideration—I think there are a few ways to read the “resentful, cold” part—but I believe this is something he enjoyed doing. It’s certainly getting him off, that part is clear. “Hot, nerve-searing.”

(I don’t want to get into like a side ramble about the resentful, cold bit because I’M ALREADY TALKIN TOO MUCH LOL but I do like to credit that to him being upset about being Armand’s pet and wanting the Dark Gift once the moment is over and he’s coming back down to reality, but I personally think/want to think that the sex part was fun and consensual. This is a space in the text that can be read differently so everyone might have different opinions and headcanons about this.)

So did he “have to”? I take the opinion that he was a willing participant. It might be complicated by him playing along for the sake of getting Blood after in reward, or various other substances that Armand might be making available to him, but I’m pretty sure he was into it and I don’t see why the two sides have to be mutually exclusive. I also think he’s a mortal human man with a sex drive and that this is a way for them to explore it. They’re both, at this point, living as hedonists. So it’s like, WHY NOT LOL.

The other angle if we ask why is Armand making him do this is that ARMAND LIKES THAT SHIT. It’s his kink. He does the same with Denis, the way he watches him eat. Armand wants to watch humans be human and I think there are clues that he has weird hyperfixations (blenders, microwaves, microscopes, videocameras) and I don’t see why food or sex would be different.

TLDR: Why did Daniel have to bed those people?

Because Armand is a voyeur and Daniel has major blue balls from dating a vampire. Also he’s totally whipped.

—— Was Armand using the people as conduits?

OKAY THIS ONE. GOOD QUESTION!

I don’t THINK there’s any definitive clue to imply this in the text. BUT NOTHING SAYS HE DIDN’T, EITHER! If anyone wants to support this with clues from the text please let me know cause I am 10000% behind this idea and I love it.

For me personally it’s because I really enjoy reading and writing smutty fanfiction but I’m also really into the creative challenge of keeping VC smut canon-compliant haha! So I’ve worked this concept into my own fics because it gave me an excuse to write about them fucking a little bit more literally.

This is completely headcanon territory so I don’t think there’s an answer, but! IF IT WERE UP TO ME I’D SAY YEAH.

NOW THERE’S TWO WAYS TO READ THE QUESTION AND I’M NOT SURE WHICH ONE YOU MEANT BUT.  We could be asking was he psychically inside the people to feel their experience, or was he using his influence to make them fuck Daniel? I think either is definitely a possibility.

Re: Psychic Invasion — On one hand you can say that vampires have no need to do this because blah blah ~TEH BLOOD~, on the other hand Armand is kind of a rascally troll and I could see him finding it fun, even if it pales in comparison to the connection he feels when they share blood. It could be his way of reciprocating, it could also be his curiosity and his need to know Daniel from every possible perspective. He loves Daniel as a human and I like the idea of him coming down to love him on a human level in the spaces where he can.

Armand had a pretty kinky and robust sex life as a human and if you couple that with his curiosity and voyeurism I don’t see why he wouldn’t take it a step further and really want to experience it through them and see what they’re seeing rather than just watching the act itself with his own eyes. He has also occasionally shown himself to be jealous and insecure so I enjoy this idea on the basis of him not wanting to share Daniel, and to inhabit their guest as a means to involve himself in the process more intimately.

Re: Exerting Influence — Maybe!!!!!! I think Daniel’s sarcasm in the text could easily back this idea up. “You don’t say.” lol. The “IF Armand could possibly arrange it” kinda makes me think maybe he wasn’t cheating LOL but. He could’ve! When he and Marius show up to double team Bianca the whole point is that he learns the way all their body functions turn on is “the miracle” and they’re basically playing with their food. So all other points aside that I’ve just brought up, I could see this being him just playing with his fucking food. I’m a mushy romantic so I like to assign more emotional and intimate meaning into these situations LOL but yeah it could be him just toying with everybody, too. It would also explain why Daniel feels empty and resentful and cold afterwards.

TLDR: Was Armand using his mental powers to have sex with Daniel through the people?

 Maybe! I don’t think I have enough evidence from the book but I just have my own headcanon to go by haha. I like to think he was, on the grounds that he appreciates the intimacy of sex and wants to experience it with Daniel to some extent and to level the playing field with what he gets out of blood sharing. Either way it provides way more fodder for smutty fanfic so get on that errybody. 

—— Did he take Daniel back because of Louis?

I… HATE TO ADMIT IT but I only read PLROA once so far and I don’t know it as well to have a solid opinion here, but!

I’m gonna say no?

This is again just veering straight off the cliff into headcanon, especially cause these are characters that Anne won’t tell us about LOL. I tend to view this handful of vampires as a bit polyamorous and I think as time goes by and they become better at communicating (between opening up over the Chronicles + technology like phones, texting, internet, etc) they might be more comfortable coming in and out of each others lives. So I think they might have a more relaxed approach to Louis maybe saying he’s gonna go spend some time with Lestat, BRB! Armand also has his Trinity Gate fam so even if Louis leaves I don’t think he’s desperately lonely.

Also with the way Lestat behaves I could see Armand “volunteering” Louis to him to keep the peace. Anne likes to use Louis as a pawn when Lestat needs him and I don’t—I want to believe that Louis has agency to decide to help Lestat, as well—if you do some mental gymnastics around the plot and all three of their behaviors I think we can pretend it’s a mutual agreement and there isn’t a ton of drama.

Another piece of the puzzle is that Armand and Marius get in the fight—OFF SCREEN OF COURSE SO WHO TF KNOWS—but I wonder if Daniel coming back to NY is more of an action of Leaving Marius vs Replacing Louis.

I like to picture it being that Armand and Daniel are still slowly piecing their relationship back together now that Daniel is out of his train set phase or whatever and MY HEADCANON is a scenario in which Daniel was like “Woah Marius that was fucking rude” and then goes to see if Armand is okay, and they kinda hit it off like old times and decide to have a visit. :D

TLDR:  Did Armand take Daniel back only because he lost Louis?

Maybe? Possibly? Certainly not “ONLY” but I think we weren’t given the entire story and it’s hard to say. FINGERS CROSSED WE GET SOME D/A TRINITY GATE ACTION IN THE NEXT BOOK !!!!!!

WHAT IS YOUR OTP FOR YOUR CHARACTER? The canon one, lmao. (A couple of others I enjoy are with Gray, Tobin or Kliff though)

WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO WRITE WHEN IT COMES TO SHIPPING? fluff, angst, adventure, humor, just bonding in general, hijinks. Don’t think I wanna touch more steamy stuff on tumblr proper, and even then I have a lot of hard limits depending on the content.

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE? Gonna copy paste what I’ve written previously on the matter:  If he is 16~17, I’d say… minimum age 16 (might be lenient on 15), maximum age 18 (might be lenient on 19). Any further of a gap at this stage of his life isn’t something I find myself comfortable with. For if he’s in his  20′s… the age range would probably be 4 years younger or older at most (with the younger range cutting off at 20, no younger than that).

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING? In a way. I give a lot of leeway to people who RP Celica, for example, because it’s his canon pairing and it’s one I enjoy anyway (I also want to stress that this pairing is not mandatory and if you do not want their relationship to be shippy, well, that’s how I treat it by default if I don’t know your preference (friendship with Alm having a crush lmao)). When it comes to anyone else, I can be pretty selective about it, mostly because it has to be developed from ground up. I don’t really do picking up from wherever if it’s an interaction I never had the chance to grow and foster in several RPs, because I really don’t see Alm as falling for just about anyone until he’s particularly close to them.

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY ARE CONSIDERED NSFW? I’m not sure how to explain this one without writing 10000 words on where my hard limits are depending on Alm’s age in the RP, but it’s not something that’s come up ever in my time RPing so, uh, lmao. Ariel (The Little Mermaid)

There's a reason she's my OOC mascot and it isn't just because she's a redhead, when I was a kid EVERYTHING was Ariel, or atleast I tried to make it so (fun fact: In the early days Ariel was actually not a popular princess to be smacked on merchandise, Disney used to put her "in the vault" all the FREAKING time and so whenever there WAS something Ariel related available I would foam at the mouth for it... I still foam at the mouth for Ariel stuff to be honest but atleast I can just walk in Walmart and get practically anything these days) Ariel and I are actually completely opposite and completely the same, because where she only ever wanted to be human, I only ever wanted to be... anything but, especially a mermaid, I know it's a common thing for little girls to want to be mermaids but dude.... I SO wanted to be a mermaid, I would have utter TANTRUMS everytime it came to leaving the neighborhood pool because I just wanted to be in the water, I STILL love being in water even though I'm not a very good swimmer, but past that, Ariel is the oddball of her family who doesn't want to conform to what her dad wants (my mom is actually the same as I am, but she married someone who's very traditional in alot of his thinking and so a very large part of my childhood was spent trying to gnaw my way through his traditionalist ideas- with my mom's help ofcourse) I get so annoyed and protective of Ariel when people say that ~she abandonded everything she loved for a guy she didn't know~ excuse me no did you even WATCH the freaking movie? (Not to mention the TV show?) Ariel was desperate to get away from her father and her strict lifestyle COMPLETELY regardless of Eric, he was just a convenient excuse, and I'm pretty sure anyone who watched the TV series would agree that Eric could have been a TURTLE and she still would have made the deal with Ursula, it was never about wanting to be with Eric- that was a happy bonus- it was about being free, and although I'm not an adventurous person I completely understand that, I'll take any opportunity I can get to stab someone's traditionalist opinions (especially if they're in my family) and kick against it as hard as I possibly can, Ariel doesn't want to be what everyone else wants her to be and I'm SEVERELY lucky that I grew up with a mom who never had any of the same ass-backwards thoughts on what I "should" be that most other people did, I spent most of my young life fighting and biting everyone who tried to shove me into a box that I didn't want to be in and it was EXHAUSTING, if an evil witch had offered ME a three-day out solution to what I thought was freedom when I was sixteen? Yeah I would have taken that deal too, plus Ariel is a hoarder, let's be totally honest, and I identify with that, I, like Ariel, collect things- I have treasure troves and treasure boxes and book shelves that are honestly on the verge of collapse (I mean ALOT of them) and I.. may get extremely OCD about things (because hey, mental disorder, fun right?) For example I have a not-so-minor obsession with boxes, I hate throwing out a good box, I'm like a cat that way, if there's any POSSIBLE conceivable use for it I'll find a way to try to keep it (I really do feel sorry for my poor mother...) I sort of hoard wrapping papper too, Christmas is a nightmare just because THERE'S SO MUCH GOOD WRAPPING PAPPER OH MY GOD and I want to buy like twenty sticks of it, I also collect some really unusual things (well, depending on what you define as "unusual") and I have a very hard time letting go of things because I have this sense of "But what if I need it later?", I also LIVE for music, I may not be able to sing (although I used to try really hard) but music is a HUGE part of my life, and there were actually ALOT of episodes in the series where it's made very, very, clear that music is immensely important to Ariel too, not just because she can sing, but because of everything that music represents to her, I'm also a huge animal lover, let's be totally honest if there was ever a chance that I could sneak a baby orca into my room I would have, I love animals and babies and jewlry and those are all things Ariel has been associated with in the TV series (haha... ahhh that charm bracelet that nearly killed her... yeah that's exactly the kind of bullshit stunt I would pull probably) As much as I LOVE the newer princesses like Elsa and Moana, no one is ever going to replace the spot Ariel has in my heart, I still get overwelmingly excited over everything Ariel

Rukia Kuchiki (Bleach)

Oh my God the love I have for this girl... (even though Tite Kubo screwed her over to the point of no return) Rukia was my gateway into alot of things, cosplay, for example, wich I sadly don't do anymore but wich I still deeply, deeply, deeply love, Rukia is everything I WANT to be, she's beautifull and strong and gracefull and powerfull and I really don't have much in terms of her strengths.... her weaknesses, however, are alot like my own, she has virtually no self-esteem (especially at the beginning of the series) a bad temper, no ability to draw, a love of stuffed animals that literally almost costs her a fight at one point (I would throw my sword down and run into a mountain of plushies too...) an insane love for cute things, especially bunnies (I prefer puppies but still! BUNNIES!!) a general weirdness about her taste in things (she can go from creepy horror manga to adorable kitten plushie in zero seconds flat and so can I) she actually wears the exact same style of sundresses that I've been known to wear- especially when I was younger, she's very feminine and girly but really doesn't get into make up or traditional "girly" things like romcoms and gossip and, you know, the things that you hear girls "should" like out of tween magazines, she brawls with the boys and isn't afraid to fight dirty and because she's short that's sometimes all she can do (I'm only about an inch taller than she is) She's very quiet, shy, and respectfull..... if she deems you worthy of that in some way or if you're someone she wants to impress (This is a big reason why convention scenes never worked out for me, I'm very social and outgoing but I was always so worried about impressing other con people that I would just freeze up like a popsicle) Otherwise, if she's comfortable with you in some way, she's pretty brash, headstrong, opinionated, loud, and tempermental, ofcourse she has close freinds who she's very soft and gentle with because that's just how their relationship is, but then she also has freinds who she can freely cuss out at her leisure, I identify with her in alot of ways, in alot of ways- like Ariel- I don't, and alot of things about her are more things that I WANT to be rather than what I AM, but there's more than enough in there to be identifiable

Stiles Stilinski (Teen Wolf)

I was just telling my mom earlier today how the longer the series goes on the more I identify with him, I think (considering these aren't ranked in order) he's definately the fictional charector I identify with most, there are so many shades of him that are just identical to me to the point where I've heard him have conversations that are almost EXACTLY like conversations I've had, he has relationships that are EXACTLY like relationships I've had, it's uncanny, we're both just squishy humans (well... I'll argue magic!Stiles until the day I die but still) who really are pretty powerless in the big scheme of things so when we're on the offensive we use sarcasm and quick tempered insults to defend ourselves, or go charging into something with a weird weapon without thinking totally prepared to stab someone or smack them over the head if we have to (no kidding, last weekend I ran outside with my Rukia sword- a real sword by the way, althouh dull as cutting board- because I was worried about someone who was acting suspiciously in my driveway, but that's a long, personal story I won't be getting into) We're both bookworms who would much rather study the weirdest things imaginable than what we should *actually* study (Stiles had circimcission, I had manga) We both have really short tempers and although we MEAN well we do tend to bite if we're caught at the wrong moment, we're both at the "I'm pretty sure I'm bi but given my lack of romantic experience I'm also kind of timid about everything" stage, we both play fantasy RPGs (although his are probably more like video games and mine are more indie and group RP blogs) we have alot of the same taste in humor and in media, we both love werewolves to quite a startling amount and would 10000% take the werewolf's side of any argument, we're both very twitchy, very verbal, talk ALOT (if you couldn't tell) and have pretty much the exact same anxiety disorder, I have honestly, honestly, never seen my disorder represented as well anywhere as it is in canon with Stiles, I'm really not exaggerating when I say his is identical to mine, we're very creative people, we'll defend our loved ones with more fire and force than is at times warranted, we both have an IMMENSE love for our moms and a.. complicated... relationship with our dads, we both had some really massive trouble in school that came more out of people being unwilling to accept you when you're different than it did out of being dumb or being unwilling to study, a history of teachers hating us, a tendency to form relationships with people and hold on as tightly as we can even when they start hurting us and we should probably let them go, and I'm pretty sure if it ever came up Stiles would have some pretty awesome conspiracy theories (as do I *cough*) I could really just go on and on and on if you laid Stiles down on a map and started giving me push-pins but it's four in the morning and I'm tired

Yuri Katsuki (Yuri On Ice)

Yuri is probably the second best representation I've ever seen of anxiety (and I only rank Stiles first with that because his particular *type* of anxiety is most like my own, Yuri's and mine have some slight differences but are overall extremely close) and it's just such a constant, nagging,  part of him, the best way to describe it is something I read in a YOI meta once- "At the beginning of the series he was the best male figure skater in Japan and one of the top six in the world but he defines himself as 'your average, dime a dozen figure skater'", and that's... pretty much the disorder to a T, alot of times I know LOGICALLY that I'm better at something than I think I am, or not as bad as I think I am (I'm 21 and have published 13 books in the last three years, I can't be *that* bad of a writer logically but I still *feel* like I am most of the time) We both end up letting our emotions get the better of us, can be obsessive and perfectionists, we both have a soft spot for music and femininity and LOVE dogs, we both clearly prefer food to anything even remotely sexual and would probably marry food if we could (Yuri has katsudon, I have Ranch dressing, enough said) ... even when it hurts us... (Yuri put on weight, I'm actually allergic to alot of types of Ranch dressing and get pretty freaking sick from it sometimes, but does that stop me? No... my mom does, she stops me) We both have really super supportive mothers who have gone out of their way to gamble on something that most people can't make a career out of because they have faith in us, we're both not *great* with social media, we both are often intimidated by people in our talent feilds who are on level with or better than us, neither of us know what the hell we're doing when it comes to anything romantic or sexual (despite mainly RPing //BDSM threads// I actually have never even come somewhat close to finding eros myself- or anything even remotely romantic) We're both very timid about trying new things and need alot of convincing to do it, and if I didn't have a headache right now I could probably think of more

Misty Day (American Horror Story: Coven)

The animal-loving witch who dances with scarves and worships Stevie Nicks? Yeah, this is me, without a doubt, I love all things eccentric, especially clothes and music, I love Stevie Nicks, my own personal hell would probably, in fact, be identical to Misty's- between my immense love of animals and complete unwillingness to hurt them even if it literally saved my life, my utter HORROR stories related to school, being ruthlessly bullied for being weird, being forced to conform when I just wanted to escape..... yep, that's one personal hell for me, we don't think we're anything special and all we really want is to find a place to fit in where we can be who we are without having to conform to anything, neither of us even WANT to be some kind of big supreme thing, we just want to chill with our music and scarves and twirl around with our tribes (or wolf packs, whatever) We're both weird and a mix of outgoing and insecure and really just want some peace and quiet, we're both basically witch-hippies and if you think for one second that I wouldn't do to those alligator hunters exactly the same thing Misty did to them then you are terribly wrong because I //so. would.//, we're both kind of naive and airheaded at times and if I ever met Stevie Nics I would 100% faint from it too

Honorable mention: Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter) I've always been a Hermione girl but I probably have alot more in common with Luna, we're both so weird and eccentric and have been pushed around and bullied alot for that, we believe in things that other people don't see or believe in, we have our own weird fashion sense and we're more creative and imaginative than we are academically smart, ofcourse, the thing is, I'm a Slytherin ;)
