You actually CAN use different words to muffle emotional effects! we've been making euphemisms for death for as long as we've had language, that's why we say things like "passed away". even the word "die" was an old Norse euphemism for the old English word "sweltan", which itself is a euphemism for the even older word "diegan". (I really agree with your post, the origin of using "unalive" is incredibly dystopian and censorship is awful, I just wanted to infodump about linguistics)

anyway speaking of metamy possibly the funnest part to me is that like. ok so amy falls in love with sonic but it would never work out one because age diff and two because she CONSTANTLY needs attention and affection cause she has severe abandonment issues meanwhile sonic loves to just run off places and live by his own rules and gets very uncomfortable when others initiate physical contact and isn't really that good with "feelings" and stuff. so like she's constantly chasing after him and it just drives him farther away cause they have different emotional needs for a relationship, y'know?

but here's the thing. metal sonic? oh my god if metamy happened you KNOW this bitch would be COMPETITIVE. "i am going to be the WORLD'S BEST BOYFRIEND, way better than SONIC could ever hope to be." amy would be like "hey metal you'd never leave me right lol jk unless" and metal would just be like "i will WIN the WORLD RECORD for MOST TIME SPENT AROUND AMY ROSE" and she'd be like "oh sick"

Yo, like... I've found out age dreaming has helped me out A LOT. Most of my childhood was scary and dark; I've been through horrible things and seen stuff that I never should have. I remember these things and I involuntarily regress. But it always feels frightening to me. I didn't/don't want that to be a reflex for flashbacks and PTSD symptoms. So, agedre became a much better coping mechanism in my life. At times I really want a caregiver, and I mean REALLY, but there's no one irl that I trust with that side of me. So what I do, personally, is talk to myself (in my head) as if speaking to a kid. And that helps me specifically with doing tasks throughout the day. I'm just glad to say that I found what works.

one thing that really annoys me about a lot of les mis productions is their insistence on making the les amis de l'abc older than they are. i know it's partly a schematics thing with hiring younger actors, but to me so much of the tragedy behind the barricade comes from the fact they were kids. they were college students staring at a future they despised, desperate to change it, and they - and the hope they had for a kinder future - were slaughtered. i mean, hell, the musical talks about it! all the time! javert calls them schoolboys, turning is the mothers of paris staring at corpses of boys who could have been their sons, cosette eponine and marius are kids lost in their first loves. idk it seems like such a minor thing but to me it's so core to what makes this story so devastating

If Amy doesn’t appear in the 3rd Sonic Movie, these line are gonna ring extra hollow. Makes it more of a very late April Fools joke on Amy fans.

You had her finally be playable in a mainline game after 17 years with Sonic Frontiers, her finally getting to be Playable in the Classic games, then be part of the main cast in Sonic Superstars. Making it seem like Sega finally see her as important as Tails and Knuckles, the whole year of Amy, only for it to get overshadowed multiple times. She gets a Stand Alone idw comic that’s 1 issue. Fang the hunter a obscure side character, gets a whole 4 part mini series, which Amy isn’t even in. Amy gets a game about her birthday, with arguably the best writing for a Sonic game. Shadow gets a whole ass rerelease with a full ass DLC just for him with his name in the title.

And people just don’t seem to care about Amy if she is in the movie or not. I’ve seen more people asking about Rouge at this point.

It’s just so weird feeling to do this whole push for her then go nowhere with it.

What are Stellar's relationships like with the other main Sonic Co.?

I'll break down a handful of relevant relationships for you!!

Sonic - Stellar's dad

Stellar loves her dad, and is most like him in personality. This makes it so they are usually on the same page when it comes to what they do and don't like, but it also means that there is no one on earth who can annoy Stellar like Sonic can. 😂 As much as she loves joking around with him, sometimes his teasing and sarcasm can get on her nerves. Sonic has truly adapted to his role as an embarrassing dad, so dad jokes are non-stop in the hedgehog household. Even so, Stellar loves Sonic a lot and nothing makes her happier than running all over Green Hill with him! She wishes he'd take her on more of his big adventures.

Shadow - Stellar's papa

Stellar and Shadow are very close, but in a way that is different than how she is close with Sonic. Shadow is a quiet, steady, and responsible force in her life, one that she appreciates greatly. She knows she can rely on him for almost anything, and she finds a great amount of comfort in his presence. Shadow would do almost anything for her, and she knows it. That being said, Shadow can come across as overprotective, which becomes a point of contention between the two of them.

Tails - Uncle figure

Since Tails and Sonic were living together when Stellar arrived, he's always been an active part of her life. Once he got over the drama surrounding her existence, he was SUPER stoked to be an uncle! He was one of her regular babysitters growing up, and she really likes trying to bring out his more playful side. Even so, she finds it a bit hard to connect to him and his interests at times, as she's not very techy. She might not understand all of his brainiac lingo, but she does love all the fun gadgets he comes up with! He actually helped create her skates as a way to help vent her excess chaos energy!

Knuckles - Uncle figure

Knuckles is probably the uncle she relates to the most, as she shares his love of adventure and the outdoors! She often spends time listening to him tell stories of all the adventures he and Sonic have gone on, her eyes filled with stars. She admires him greatly, and thinks he's super cool! The only thing she doesn't get is how he can spend so much of his time sitting around and guarding the Master Emerald. She has far too much energy to be able to sit still for that long!

Amy - Aunt figure

Amy was another of her regular babysitters growing up, which is also how she and Camellia became so close. Amy would come over to visit with Camellia in tow, and the two would spend a majority of the time playing together. She sees Amy as a warm, loving person, and she feels like she could tell her almost anything. She does know not to piss her off, though! Amy is a force to be reckoned with when she's upset! Of course, she's delighted whenever she comes over, and it always helps that she brings yummy baked goods with her!

Rouge - Aunt figure

The aunt she's closest with, Rouge helped Stellar shape a lot of her personal style. She's the rich auntie type, always coming over with gifts and taking Stellar out to have girl time. She is responsible for a lot of the more feminine aspects of Stellar, seeing as she's the one who introduced the world of cosmetics to her. If it wasn't for her, Stellar would have been dressed in oversized t-shirts and running shoes all her life!

Blaze - Aunt figure

Being softer and more reserved, Stellar finds it harder to connect with Blaze. It's not that she doesn't appreciate her, she's just can find her a bit hard to read at times. She definitely exudes that queenly energy, and she can find that a bit intimidating at times. Even so, she's always happy to get opportunities to know her better, and she recognizes she's an empathetic and responsible person.

I should also mention that the only one out of this group that she genuinely sees like blood family is Tails. Everyone else are kind of like god parents or something, haha! She doesn't see any of the other fankids as cousins, basically. She sees them as peers/friends.

It really should be acknowledged, in one way or another, that Amy saved Shadow's life.

Not Sonic. Not Rouge. Their contributions later cannot be understated, but in a pivotal moment where it can be argued it counted most, Amy was the one to save Shadow's life by asking them to give everyone a chance.

By extension, she was asking Shadow to give themselves a chance.

And Shadow took it.

#and Sonic and Rouge GREIVE the fact they failed Shadow #that super short moment on the Ark- they're just standing there- unsure of what to do #Rouge has never been so WRONG about a person before- about so much in general- and it cost something immense #and Sonic- Sonic's never had someone die on him (in game).
