do you think slugcats actually wawa? It is a fairly popular fanon sure but I have been wondering for the last few days. We know slugcats must have some decent hearing - some of the map markers are explicitly the slugcat using its hearing to differentiate between other living creatures in other rooms and so on (although the actual passages they apparently just commit to the memory). Probably not as good as black lizard hearing but pretty good. However this part of gameplay as proof of canon worldbuilding might be taken with a grain of salt
that may suggest that audial communication between slugcats may actually be pretty hard to hear for humans - similar to how we cannot hear most of audible signals of various rodents. The problem is, well, it is a gameplay concession for the most part and tbh the way gameplay is integrated with worldbuiding - the devs made an attempt but the realization is imho wonky at best and misleading at worst.
back to wawas, we can try to draw a comparison between domestic cats and slugcats wherein meow is something mostly relegated to 'babytalk' and a specific type of call which some cats, especially those who grew up with humans, adopt for cat to human communication (with cats who grew up without much human interaction sometimes never taking up a habit of meowing even if they end up living with humans later on and actively engaging with them positively). In this case a wawa is a specific signal that is either used for example in danger (owing to how we hear a wawa like sound in one of the danger alert osts) or during communication with the young.
this assumes we take danger osts as actually symbolically reflective of something.
Howerver! While just like the map it seems to be largely a gameplay concession, most of slugcat out of cutscene (aka the gourmand ending slides) communication is reliant on body language. Pointing, jumping, things like that. Even with the pups we mostly interact via those things. Which... either suggests a dimension of pup interaction we do not see because of the gameplay limitations or we should take it as wawa not being a slugcat 'babytalk'.
Which leaves wawas with a very dubious space as a potential 'can be fit into canon' or not.
Oh I'm SO sorry, but I don't think slugcats wawa at all,,
I just think Rivulet ONLY can scream.
Tumblr media
Slightly longer ramble under cut!
I think lore and gameplay are mostly done pretty well! For example the cycle mechanic is something you can only really theorize on if you look at both gameplay and lore. You get to experience the pain of cycles all on your own!
As for wawas.. as you have mentioned, they mostly use body language and art. Picture from Gourmand campaign ↓
Tumblr media
Spearmaster draws too, and uses sign language to communicate with Suns. And I hear you. "Spearmaster is domesticated, they don't count" and you're right!
BUT
The fact they can learn such complicated sign language would imply they have the capacity for it in their brain to learn and memorize a language so complicated in the first place. Unless that was modified as well.
But it is more intuitive for slugcats to understand gestures than speech, which is why they need the mark of communication as they otherwise just hear incomprehensible garble. Their brains weren't made for many complicated noises. Yet when they DO have the mark they are capable of understanding extremely complicated sentences and such.
The wawas in threat themes are just the track not actual noise your slugcat makes. A lot of tracks have quite the bizarre sounds in them.
I think slugcats draw, point and jump to communicate. They're rodents that sign!
My only self-indulgent funny headcanon is.. as forementioned, that Rivulet can scream. There is no proof or basis for this. It's just incredibly creepy and funny to me.
This is why that creature wanders alone. Cursed being.

Responding to some of the comments from my last mole anon ask I'm not new to the group but I am new to the ship. I first started listening to the group around 2018 but watching stuff like Run and the festas a few yrs later and from that, I wouldn't have guessed taekook were dating or even one of the closest friendship. They seemed touchy yeah but i think that for the whole group tbh. It wasn't really until solo era that I started focusing more on fan stuff. I'd say before that I was more fo a casual fan who enjoyed watching the content but wasn't really desperate to see everything bts. Like I knew the basics and the memes but never really was inclined to delve any further and my knowledge of shipping was mostly critical. I did see some of the narratives in the backlash to shipping such as taekook being less close than other members and with (what I now know is edited) official content reinforcing that, it was much easier to believe that than a secret taekook love affair.
But Layover turned out to be one of my favorite albums because it was closest to my musical tastes and culture of music i grew up with and so I started hitting up twitter and specifically searching stuff up to discuss more about tae and his musical influences coz I thought he did such a great job with that album and had some real soul in it despite not being raised in that culture or country of that kind of music. And I think because of the algorithms and how popular taekook is that's when I started seeing my taekook posts pop up on my timeline and from a ship critical perspective, I brushed most of as delulu coz wlmy first exposure of ships being discussed in fandom was that it was weird and inappropriate to ship.
And the stuff that I did see out of morbid curiosity (and I admit it wasn't a lot at that time) just really validated the 'fake' accusations because it was all slow mo'd edits and taekook seemed to have 7 different anniversary dates according to the taekook stuff I read so it was seeming more like shippers were just trying to fit a circle onto a square hole or something. Plus I'd see people responding to those slo mo edits with the real time links and that made it seem even faker.
The I recently saw the mole video on twitter that brought me here and that was the first thing were I couldn't really rationalise it with a platonicary answer because one of the first things I can remember doing in a relationship is laying in bed counting and mapping each others marks and freckles.
So that to me seemed just highly romantic for a couple of bros.
Except I lost the video on twitter so I tried YouTube to find it, nothing. Searched the Internet on general, nothing and I ended up stumbling across this blog. I think I discovered while browsing after seeing a response to an ask that I thought sounded fair enough a d really kinda middle ground for a shipper. It was framed as like 'idnk for sure but here's what I think' and after looking for the link and coming across people who were more definitive in their theories and stuff, I thought somewhere like here would be the best place to ask for the info.
Because at that point, shipping didn't have any good associations to me and I wasn't really comfortable with my own speculation that the mole vid was leaving me with but I also couldn't stop second guessing my own first reaction to deny, deny, deny and make an excuse for it.
So my intentions really were to post here, get a link to the vid, watch it again and be like 'oh yeah, that's been blown out of proportion. No ships sailing here' like I had when people sent those real time links in response to ship edit videos.
(Except we all know what happened next)
While waiting for a response which came pretty quickly, I was looking up for more info on taekook in general and was coming up with mostly horse shit but I was also noticing the more reasoned stuff now that I was actively looking for it.
And in the response, DWM mentioned and tagged the taekook timeline which really topped off me taking a second look at the ship because again it was presented as kinda 'this is what I think, beware, I could be just high on delusional and this whole post could be wish fulfilment but here's what happened and what I think' and angles like that I can appreciate because I find it way more trustworthy than someone presenting a theory as fact which is what it felt like taekook lyves was doing a lot of, imo.
The timeline really sealed the deal for me, tbh, because seeing all their interactions in one place and running on concurrent really blew the hinges off the 'distance' narrative.
Which lead me to the ultimate question which I think is the fossil fuel that taekook sails on; what's with all the fucking secrecy and what's bighit hiding??
Because to me and with the timeline on front of me there was no distance on their distant relationship.
And so I've recently started a rewatch of some of their biggest hits. Like I started with bon voyage and I'm kicking myself and wondering why I didn't consider stuff like the room choosing situation in Bon Voyage Morrocoo or Malta wherever they were, more closely. I can't even explain why I just took it at face value as a joke because looking back JK made it so damn obvious.
And I started noticing the subtleties of their touching and the lack of space. I think part of me started reqatching the BV and Run episodes to be kinda proven right that there was nothing more to the ship and I was being delulu but the more I watch, the more Im starting to notice and those fossil fuel questions keep popping up in my mind.
And as a logical creature who said taekook isn't real when I couldn't see anything proving it, I can't then refuse to consider the possibility that it might be real now that I'm seeing stuff that I consider legit proof or support of a relationship.
As for theories, I don't want it to come across like I'm acting smarter or more superior than anyone else because I think everyone is working off theories even the people who don't believe in it because none of us know these guys or their lives but I don't like when theories are pushed as fact or manipulated or framed as the only possible conclusion to a question. Like could I make another theory as to why taekook ate mapping out each others moles, yeah, course I could but based on my own experience perception and no real clear arguement otherwise etc---the romantic reason is still the strongest supported to me.
So I don't have anything against theories just the way they're framed.
So yeah I guess that's my looong (sorry) story about how I accidently became a taekook shipper.
Hi again mole anon!
It’s really nice to hear your story actually. I think skepticism is definitely a good way to get into this. Also, props to Kayla @taekooktimeline for documenting so well 💜.

I’m curious, what do you think about Zelda games and continuity in general? I know one point of contention with BOTW/TOTK is the “lack” of continuity which yeah, i get it. It could be better. However the Zelda series is not known for its continuity lol. Like, take OOT and MM for example. MM is supposed to be a sequel to OOT, right? Well, tbh it’s not a very good one. Besides the fact that Link is the same one from oot, and the happy mask salesman and skull kid return, it feels really disconnected from its predecessor. I think Twilight Princess fits more as a sequel to OOT than MM. I could go on and on but what are your thoughts?
Very good question! So yeah, I know that the Zelda games give 0 craps about consistent lore or continuity, which is fine! I think they put forward a lot of different and interesting ideas. As a fandom, and especially as writers, we can treat it like a buffet of ideas to sample and play around with.
You raise an interesting point with oot/mm. I think the difference between oot/mm is the fact that they have very little in common with each other. New map, new characters, a completely different concept. There's a lot of mechanics that are the same but it really feels like you're in a new universe with the same aesthetics as the previous one, and that's about it.
I think TOTK stands out to people because it is a direct sequel with only a few years between them in-universe, but there is very little story, lore, and setting continuity between botw and totk. If it were a whole new game with a new slate of characters and a new map, I don't think the discrepancies would feel as jarring. That being said, I really love totk as a game! It's fantastic and I've sunk at least 100 hours in.
However, botw remains my favourite game because: botw is a gesamkunstwerk. TOTK is not a gesamkunstwerk.
And now here's my very long tangent about this:
I'm sure I've seen a video talking about this idea before but basically, a gesamkunstwerk is a German term for "total work of art." Coined by the composer Richard Wagner (whom we do not like, but his ideas were very influential), a gesamkunstwerk is a large scale work where everything reinforces each other. It is "a work of art that makes use of all or many art forms, or strives to do so." So in opera, for example, this would be how the orchestra, the costumes, the text, the music, the set pieces, everything comes together to tell one unified story.
I believe botw is a good example of a gesamkunstwerk: the open world setting serves the narrative framework, the Sheikah technology is incorporated seamlessly into the game mechanics, the story is scattered throughout the world for you to discover, but everything is still centered around your final goal and the narrative arc you're meant to travel. You're meant to explore, meet people, hone your skills, then face off against the final foe that you've been staring in the face for the whole game. You're meant to discover the world, to do all these things, as the player and as Link. Everything in botw reinforces everything else. It's not a perfect game by any means but it is incredibly well crafted.
And while totk improves on all the things in BOTW, it loses the cohesiveness that tied the first game together. I find that totk fights itself in a lot of ways. It didn't commit to being a linear game but it clearly has a linear path in mind (hello dragons tears...I am so glad a friend of mine told me to do them in order) The integration of zonai and Sheikah mechanics made no sense to me. The sages... Good gravy the sages...
Anyways this turned into a much longer post than I intended, but I hope this all made sense.

Thank you for tagging me @chevvy-yates , @wanderingaldecaldo , @gloryride 🖤

I'm working... Ok, working is not the right word for that. I'm experimenting and losing my mind over this for weeks now. And honestly i've been depressed so many times over this, it really hasn't been fun in a while, unlike making the tattoos for V-Lexa. But also i can't let things go, when i start something, so taking a step back and just leave this for a while, was not really an option (and i tried). And i really wanted to make something for her.
And since yesterday, i think i'm finally on the right track. Maybe. Hopefully. We'll see. Sorry, i'm rambling.
Anyway...
I always wanted to give Lexa some tattoos. But there hasn't been anything so far, which i thought would fit her. And also tbh i didn't even really knew myself what i wanted for her. And tbh it was kinda difficult to find something, cause everything i tried, wasn't "good enough" for her and i was (and still am) constantly unsure, if i'm not ruining her.
It was a lot easier to find something for V-Lexa. Not because i care less about her, but because she's in comparison relatively new and i'm still figuring everything about her out.
But Maelstrom Lexa has been around for quite while now and allthough i want changes, i'm so scared (yeah, it doesn't make sense). Also it doesn't help, that her personal lore is about wanting (Maelstrom) perfection and making her body the perfect weapon -.-
Aaaand i'm rambling again. Ok... Changes:
New tattoos of course. Lexa LOVES skulls. On her clothes, as decorations... So that is also mostly the theme for her tattoos. A lot of skulls. But she also got two "let's get some ink while blackout drunk" tattoos (she's not always perfect xD). On her right hip you can get a glimpse of a "yelling" cat, which she got after Salem adopted her and she just wanted to show off, that she now has a fur baby. The other is a Maelstrom logo on her leg which she got shortly before her initiation, when she got extemely drunk with Royce and Dum Dum and decided it's time for a gang tattoo. And of course they thought it was an awesome idea 😂
There's a tattoo for Johnny as well. It's the heart on her right arm. Not a cute heart, since we're still talking about Lexa, so it's the... literal organ 🫀 I still have to add Johnny's name and their wedding date to it. Also i would like to give him the same tattoo, but i'm not sure about that yet. Mostly because i'm hesitant to change his tattoos and don't want to get yelled at for that 🥴.
I got rid of her vanilla body scars and trying right now to give her some custom ones. Because i always thought she doesn't have enough scars, since she's fighting a lot and she sees them as trophies. But that's just an idea for now and i have to see how this goes, cause i'm not really understanding what i'm doing (normal maps wtf!?). I would also like to work on her face scars, but that is even more confusing.
I also thought about making my own skin color for her, cause sometimes her skin looks too red for my taste. I would like to have her paler and with even less color. But i didn't have any succes now, cause nothing looked good enough.
Other stuff:
I'm tidiying up Johnny's NPC+, cause every time i gave him a new outfit i just threw the things into his mod folder without organizing anything. And now i have a ton of stuff and no idea, what is for what. Also there are a lot of appearances, which i will never use (again).
I'm very slowly working on a mod for the Aurore Outfit: Pants, bra, top and jacket. I like this outfit so much but as usual, i need COLORS 😂 Currently only the pants are more or less ready, so this will take a long while until i can share it, since priority are definitely things for the blorbos.
Also in between i make some poses, but these are mostly just for myself for now, cause i'm actually too lazy to make them good enough for the public (at least i know how to position the camera to hide the chaos) or to retarget them for other couples besides M/F.
I think, that was it for now. Which was already too much again 🥴
I'm tagging @togepies , @miss--river , @thelonestrider , @wraithsoutlaws and @dreamskug for a WiP sharing. As usual without any pressure of course 🖤

Bloodlust - Part 2
Summary: For once, Astarion and Leeith are away from fights and constant danger, so of course they would use this time to rob a small shop together, as friends do! so while Shadowheart and Lae'zel are away, doing some dirty job, the vampire and the drow have their fun among the druids of the grow. Astarion realises this is also the perfect moment for his proposition. Mostly fluff, character building and showing a slice of their life. A bit of flirting and innuendos (and chapter 4 will be a proper smut)
A/N: I've been told by my beta reader that sometimes some details might be missed if you haven't played or are familiar with the game. I'm not sure this is something I care too much about fixing tbh, but I would say that as long as you have a general idea, you should be fine.
Also, as always, I'm open to all kinds of feedback, be it a mistake I didn't catch or if Astarion is too ooc or whatever.
Word count: 5.3k (wtf, when did I write this much. I wish writing a thesis was this easy)
Read on AO3
I didn't doodle anything for this entry of the fanfic, but I wanted to show my Tav's and Astarion's matching fit from the start of the game. (I've got Minthara's armour now and he's got a slutty crop top with funny boots, but the stats are just too good to care about style)

Attention spoilers for act 1 and a bit of 2
Leeith and all her companions were sitting in a circle on the ground, a map sprawled in front of them, with various heavy objects pinning the edges: Lae’zel’s sword, a bottle of wine, other trinkets, some were scattered around, indicating where they were and some places of interest around the region. Their best bet was finding this Karlach Wyll and some others had spoken about. Slay her if she proves dangerous… though what Wyll defined as evil, could have very well been one of her allies. The drow had taken the decision to avoid the blighted village for the time being, concentrating on exploring as much as she could before jumping head first into a cove of goblin. They might have been weak when alone, but she wasn’t sure of how many there were around and she didn’t want to find out anytime soon, not through direct approach at least. She had only edged on that area, noticing not only bodies lining the streets, but also archers atop the roofs. Encircling them from the north was going to be a lot safer and less expected. But first, they needed supplies and to take care of some matters.
“Gale, Wyll. Gather supplies for camp. We’re running low.” She didn’t even look up, moving a small stone on the map.
“Oh, again? When will we be allowed to join in? I’m tired of being a maid.” Erupted Gale, slamming his hands on the ground.
“You will once I’ll be in need of a wizard. Besides, I need someone to defend our belongings here at camp. Some of the children of the grove seem to have taken a liking to robberies.” She turned her face to Shadowheart and was about to speak, but Wyll interrupted.
“They’re just children, Leeith. It’s probably a game.” The drow was about to explain her reasoning, when Gale, almost screaming, barged in the conversation.
“Will you have us defend the camp from children? That’s ridiculous, most don’t plot or scheme from birth like your people.” The drow looked up from under her brow, staring at him with a gaze that could petrify bears.
“You know the reputation of my people well, don’t you? Then you’d do your best not to make me repeat myself.” The wizard huffed and got up. Wyll looked between the two and, with a sigh, ran after him.
“Good, he is gone. Wizards cannot be trusted.” Hissed Lae’zel, crossing her arms.
“I don’t know. We shouldn’t anger him or have him on our bad side. We need all the help we can get to deal with this and wizards are powerful people.” Shadowheart shook her head in disapproval.
“I am not so sure I trust him. The man is too full of himself, I’m afraid he might turn on us if a chance to gain more power presents itself.” Leeith took a deep breath, glad the situation was over. She hated having to deal with in-group fighting. She glanced at Astarion, giving him the chance to comment, but he was just staring blankly at the map.
“Well, better keep planning. So-” Leeith took a moment to reorganise her thoughts. “Lae’zel and Shadowheart, without going at each other throats while I’m not there, I want you to deal with the druid’s corpse. What was her name, Nattie? I’d rather the druids didn’t find out we killed one of their own.” The drow remembered how that bitch tried to “cure” them. Ceremorphosis or not, she wasn’t going to let a tree fucker even think about killing her.
“What should we do with the body? We can’t really drag it outside.” Whispered Shadowheart, looking over Gale and Wyll.
“Feed it to a bear for all I care- actually don’t. The druids can speak with those.” Leeith massaged her temples, trying to think of a way for her companions to remain hidden in the middle of the whole settlement.
“That goblin cave.” Chipped in the Gith. “There was a tunnel connecting that room with a cave. We can enter from the outside, throw the body in there and come out from the same opening without even putting foot in the grove.”
“That’s genius. Even if she’s found, the fault will go all to the goblins.” Leeith smiled, nodding in approval. “Astarion and I will also go gather some supplies. If it all goes well, we won’t even spend a silver. We’ll meet back in two hours, here.” She folded the map and put it back in her bag. From another pocket, she pulled out a few vials with a red liquid inside. She gave two to each of them. “I brewed these healing potions this morning. Hope you don’t need them.” They both collected their gift. Lae’zel sheathed her sword and, without one more word, began walking away. The cleric cursed and ran to catch up. The drow waited for both of them to be gone, fumbling stuff inside her backpack. Once out of sight, she took out a bigger vial, handing it out to Astarion.
“This is a much more potent brew. It will kick the wind out of you, but it’s almost strong enough to bring you back from the dead. I only had the ingredients for one, so don’t waste it.” The drow was back on her feet, offering her hand to the elf.
“Maybe if you’ll give me enough my fangs will fall out and my heart beat again.” He accepted it and graciously stood up, light like a ballerina. “I assume you kept the lion’see share for yourself?”
“No, I don’t plan on getting hit, I don’t need potions.” She walked towards the forest. “But if you tell me there’s a chance you’ll stop being a vampire, I’ll gladly take it back. I’d rather have you with fangs.”
“I see you're taking a liking to being bitten.”
“No, I wouldn’t say so. My whole right shoulder hurts from yesterday night.” She extended her arm, unable to straighten it upwards past her head. “My reasons are my own.” she gave him a wink.
They walked quietly from that moment on, both taking great care in making as little noise as possible; both their ears attentive to any noise. This zone should have been safe from goblins or wild animals, but it didn’t hurt to stay on alert. As of now, the only thing they could hear was the chirping of birds: the drow listened in, but they weren’t speaking of anything that interested her, just of nests, berries, worms and annoying squirrels. The green foliage was casting its shade over them. The green tint wasn’t noticeable on her, but Astarion’s skin and hair blended with nature, capturing all its colours. Leeith remained in the shadows, annoyed at how strong the sun was, how it made her eyes squint in pain and her cheeks burn. The vampire was scared of it, flinching when a strong ray of light hit his eyes, worried that at any time he could turn to dust. But then he’d look up and smile, enjoying the warmth hitting his face. The light of the sun looked pretty on him, bouncing off his perfectly sculpted curls; it was so hard to believe he hadn't seen it in more than two centuries.
They were nearing the main path now, soon they would have seen the gate that divided the grove from the rest of the world. The first thing they felt was the stink of rotting carcasses. Walking closer, one could see the corpses of the goblins they had slaughtered still lingered on the sides. The druids didn't care enough to bring them somewhere else since the whole place would shut down soon; the tieflings weren't going to do anything for the people that wanted them gone.
The pair waited a few seconds while the guards lifted the gate up. Some tieflings smiled at them as they went about their day, bowing their heads in respect to the people that saved them. She ignored them and turned right towards a lift.
“Leeith, the merchant is that way.” The vampire pointed down the main street, both his eyebrows were raised in a dumbfounded expression.
“Thank you for explaining the obvious. I want to visit someone first.” She urged him to follow her. “It flashed in my mind just now.”
“I hope you don’t get more of these unplanned flashes in the future.” They jumped on the wooden platform and, after some threatening sounds of broken machinery, they reached the grove where the ritual was taking place. The ancient humming of druids was powerful. They could feel the magic on their skin, making their hair stand up. Even the nature around them was greener, attracted by the chanting, every living being fused together by the spell. It felt like one slip of the mind would have united them with everything around them, forever lost to the forest. She shivered and walked forward, focusing on her breathing and the rocks below her, shielding her ears from the song of nature.
They walked past the lift, following a broken down path towards the beach. That was their destination. It was a small little bay surrounded by cliffs, barely large enough to fit four people standing side by side. Some dead fish were on the sand and, more importantly, a bear. Leeith had talked to him once before, but couldn’t go to visit him again since time was strict, always running from one fight to the other. Finally, after days of obligations and chores, she had the perfect excuse for a day off. The animal was lying down, head between his arms, barely acknowledging her presence.
“I don’t think we should walk up to a bear.” Hissed Astarion quietly, grabbing her elbow. “Are you mad?”
“Shh. Stay back, alright. It will be fine.” She freed herself and, after taking a few steps, kneeled down on the sand.
“Hey.” Her voice was soothing as she whispered to the bear. “How are you doing, friend?” The bear looked back at her, raising his ears.
“Still nothing… still nothing.” Cried the bear, shaking his large head. Leeith extended her hand, but the animal withdrew, groaning a warning.
“He’ll be back I’m sure.” Leeith glanced at Astarion, waiting behind her with a hand on his crossbow, ready to fire. She glared at him and pointed at the weapon, urging him to stop.
“No… the woods have gone dark. There's too many predators lately - even for master.” The bear hid his face again. “He’ll never be back.” The drow moved a bit closer, scratching the animal behind the ear. He didn’t respond, his grief too strong to bite her hand or enjoy the pet. She let out a sigh of defeat yet again, and scooted away before the beast could snap. Leeith had figured out that the master he was talking about was probably the first druid that was missing and everyone wanted back. She wanted more information about the guy and, more importantly, what he could do - or would do - if they did save him. On top of that, she would hate to leave the poor animal sad like this. Slowly, She stood up and walked backwards, putting some distance between her and the bear.
“We can go. I just wasted time.” Mumbled the drow, annoyed that the bear didn’t tell her anything.
“Who would have thought talking to a bear wasn’t the best of flashes.” Complained Astarion, marching past her. “I’ll be directing this affair now, less you go and start chatting with every spider in this forest.”
“That’s where you’re wrong, elf. Animals can be where they want, no one caring about their presence, overhearing the most important of discussions. My queen used her abilities to talk to spiders, that’s how she managed to rule for centuries in the underdark: she knew who in her court was going to go against her first.” She paused her rant, turning her face to one side in a frown. “Not this bear but… few things tug at my heartstrings like animals and beasts.” She murmured on her shoulder.
"Aw, a drow with a big fuzzy heart. How cute. Just like a tarantula."  He placed a hand on his heart. Leeith scoffed, letting the argument fall. She didn't want to say that one of the reasons she enjoyed the vampire’s friendship was because he reminded her of a feral cat that everyone threw rocks at.
Swallowing her pride, she got close to his side again to go over their plan and make sure everything was ready. The lift was still as shaky as they moved upwards. No matter how convenient it seemed, she was not going to use it anymore. Her legs were worth much more than the five minutes she would save by not walking. In any case, they were near their destination now.
"Good luck, blood sucker." She slapped his shoulders and casted a guidance spell, then he moved away, slipping unnoticed in the shadows. Leeith entered the cave system. Every object was covered in a thin layer of brown dust, from all the feet and tails kicking the ground. The waterfalls were a constant grumble in her ears, deafening almost. The voices of the people couldn't hope to surpass the noise, no matter how many there were. It almost reminded her of home, with that humid air and low light. The only thing missing were the horrible screeches of an unknown animal coming from the blackest recesses. Not that there wasn't anything to fear, mostly those children, eyeing everyone's purse and the merchant, after the same prize. Though, It was going to be a very unlucky day for the halfling.
The drow moved closer with a smile. There was a small group of tieflings stocking up on supplies and trying to sell off some of their scraps. The merchant was bored of hearing them banter, trying to lock him in an unfavourable deal. It was the first time in her life that someone smiled upon seeing her.
"Ahh, my favourite customer, how can I be of help?" He opened his arms and showed an earnest smile. The tieflings scoffed at her for having cut the line. She eyed them, almost about to ignore them, but this many eyes around would have proved a challenge even for the rogue.
"Look at me another time and I'll be sure to find out if tiefling tails regrow like lizards." She placed a hand on her rapier, and motioned them to go away. Most of the group started walking away, but one of them moved forward, unsheathing his sword. Before anything could happen, the halfling stepped in.
"Hey, hey. I don't want blood spilled here. I'm sure she'll be quick and then I'll be back to you, ok?" He said at the tiefling, as his companions were trying to make him move away. He spit on the ground, at the drow's feet, then turned around. Leeith was seconds away from blasting his head off, but she remembered about Astarion.
"I need new weapons. This simple steel we carry is starting to prove weak." She said, pointing towards a rack, where some weapons glowed with magic.
"Of course. This is what remains of my finest stock." He walked there with a smile and turned towards her. She looked at her surroundings: no, from here the merchant would have seen Astarion. She needed to be behind the rack, so that he wouldn't need to turn around to his counter. Leeith moved forward, caressing the swords and axes gingerly. She lifted one up.
"What does this do?" As the merchant started to explain all the blade's greatest property and enchantments, the drow glanced past him. There was the vampire, silent as a cat. No one was around to observe what he was doing and, to the tieflings dwelling deep in the cave, he would have looked just like any other customer, interested in the wares the halfling was peddling.
"So are you interested?" He said, capturing her attention again.
"Not really, it doesn't fit my friend's style. I need something more brutal. She uses a shield though, so nothing that cannot be wielded with one hand." Responded the drow, bored. The merchant kept going about a nice dagger he had.
Astarion was grabbing everything he could, shoving potions down his backpack and promptly substituting them with empty bottles and vials. He was very interested in the arrows the man was selling, so he switched them with some normal arrows.
"Is that more to your style?" Interrupted the merchant again.
"No, a dagger is very much too small. I need something like a hammer."
"Oh I've got the perfect one, just behind my counter, let me pick it up." He pointed behind himself with a thumb, then his heel started turning. Panic washed over her for a moment, as Astarion was still well in view. Without thinking, she hit a spear off the rack, so that it fell between them. The halfling kneeled to pick it up, looking at the drow confused.
"Sorry, it just grabbed my attention. I miscalculated the trajectory of my hand." She chuckled, grabbing back the spear. "Could you tell me what this does?" Astarion was nowhere to be seen. He had fled faster than a scared cat. Hopefully he managed to grab something of value.
"Well, this is actually a… normal spear. It's a fine spear, but it doesn't hold any enchantments." Explained the halfling.
"Uh, I guess the glow just came from the stuff around it. Have you got any light armour?" She asked at last.
"Yes actually, this blue gambeson will serve you well. It's protected with magic."
"How much for it?"
"Two hundred gold, last one in stock."
"Mh, a hundred fifty. You wouldn't be here peddling your swords without my group saving your ass at the gate." She touched the gambeson, testing its quality.
"I… one and seventy, I can't go lower."
"Alright, I don't have the time to fight over coppers." While she counted the money, she whistled to grab the attention of the group of tieflings. If the merchant was occupied, he wouldn’t have noticed some of his wares missing. "Oi devils, I'm done here, you can come back!" She screamed. They looked at her suspiciously.
"Aye! All yours again!" Added the halfling, pocketing the gold. The group moved back in only when Leeith went away.
The rendezvous point was the path behind the grove, which led to a beach. They had fought some harpies back there once, but otherwise it was quiet and, more importantly, isolated. She proceeded forward in the caves: at least the sun wouldn’t have burnt her skin nor was there a risk getting stuck on that damned wood contraption. She passed in front of the tiefling child that had tried to scam them with a fake magic ring. Leeith winked at him and raised her thumbs, mockingly. The child scoffed and almost growled, remembering  how the drow had stolen his ring as “lesson”. She would have loved to stop and teach him how to properly burglarise and pickpocket, mostly just to rub in his face that she had just sacked the halfling. She picked up the pace a little, still trying not to look suspicious. The drow wasn’t as good as Astarion at slipping between shadows, but her feet were still light and fluid enough to go by. She passed the columns that marked the exit: on the right there was a bard, Alfira or something,  the path on the left instead sloped down towards the sea. After a quick glance behind her, she followed it.
Upon arrival on the shore, she didn't see him. Her eyes scanned the harpy feathers still around and the clear waters, with no sign of the vampire. She turned around, sure that he just hadn't arrived yet, but a glimmer, like sun on snow, captured her eyes. There he was, standing high on a small hill, dagger in hand. He smiled, showing his fangs.
"You should pay more attention. I was ready to stab anyone coming in." He rolled the knife between his fingers. She couldn't mask her uneasiness.
"Good luck explaining that to everyone else. I don't think they'd look at you too kindly anymore." She raised her voice lightly.
"True. Few people are as willing as you to trust a vampire." Astarion hid the dagger, then jumped down to her. "This is all I got." He opened his backpack to show many arrows imbued with elemental magic, two or three scrolls and vials of potions or poisons. It wasn't the best loot she’d ever got, but the merchant wasn't carrying much more and they didn't really have a discreet way to carry around a maul.
"It's not a great heist, but we'll make do." She reached into her own backpack. "I bought this for you. Your clothes might look fancy, but I'd rather have them stop blades." The drow showed him the light blue gambeson she had. Astarion smirked and, after taking out a few bottles, he showed her an exact copy of the armour.
"Seems like yours wasn't the last in stock." He said, comparing the two. "I suppose I won't need to give you your money back since I got one on my own."
"I wouldn't have wanted them back anyway. Guess I'll just use it for myself." She shrugged and stuffed it in her backpack. "We'll wear matching outfits, so you won't complain about my fashion sense anymore." She smirked.
“Tks, please. The only thing you can give me that I wouldn't complain about is drow armour, that does look stylish.”
“If we ever go to the underdark, I promise to get you one. But,” She grinned and began walking away. “I’ll go to my house and get my band leader armour, from when I was in service. You’ll be just one step below me, as it should be, surface dweller.” They bickered for a bit more, both insulting each other’s skills and lineage, in a way that could pass as flirting only in the underdark.
“Knowing your people, you probably were a leader only because you’re a woman.” Said the vampire at last.
“And? Yes, I admit, part of the reason I was a squad leader was because I’m a woman, but don’t think I was sitting comfortably at home while shit went down. My rank wasn’t high enough for that.” Her memories went back to those ominous caves and dirty streets, when she had to dodge daggers at every step. Home.
“I imagined an officer would know how to use a sword a bit better than you.” He pointed at the rapier in her scabbard, which to this day had been left unused.
“Your first mistake was thinking I was an officer. I am a-” She stopped, not knowing how much to say. This wasn't something she wanted to share willy-nilly, not even to him. “Let’s say I was in a criminal ring. I operated very much outside of standard law and needed better skills than sword fighting.” She raised her hand, conjuring a small amount of magic. “My commander gave me powers and I pleased her enough to make me a leader.”
“And now that you’re finally free of your boss, you can bark orders at us. How sweet.”
Freedom. It was a strong word he had used. She wasn’t free here. She was supposed to be back. The queen was surely searching for her now. Was the tadpole protecting her from being found, like Astarion? Or was the queen just waiting for the perfect moment to strike and bring her back. The thoughts hurt her head and her anxiety was spiking up. All of this was horrible. The sun hurt her eyes once more. Shit. The drow clenched her fists and jaw. She was going to be back. She had to. All she needed was strength and Lolth’s favour. Fear wasn’t going to twist her heart once more. Her queen had freed her from fear.
“Take my spot if you want. Believe me, staying on top of everything and everyone sucks. Plan rations, plan paths, plan actions, plan strategy… augh. I thank the Spider Queen everyday for making me one of her daughters, because at least I don’t need to waste time sleeping.”
“I think that’s just called being an elf, I don’t sleep either.” He grabbed her shoulders and hunched down to her ear. “Don’t worry, I would be a fine and benign master to you.” He hummed. The drow didn’t flinch, nor redden, though the prospect did sound enticing and, in all fairness, sent a shiver straight down to her core.
“You’ll have to fight for the title, prove that you’re stronger and better than me… times and times again. Backstabbing is second nature where I’m from.” She turned around to face him, pointing his own dagger at his throat. “You should pay more attention.” She gave the knife back from the handle.
“HA! Haha! A dangerous brat, I see. Makes it more exciting.” He put the dagger back under his doublet. The drow studied his face, but his intentions were safely hidden behind a pompous smirk. They stared into each other's eyes for a while. The sound of the waves falling, breaking on the shore filled their ears. Leeith started to grow uneasy, her heart skipping a beat. She was drowning in those waves, her mind lost forever to the waters. Her feet were unsteady, the tension on her shoulders growing and threatening to make her fall. Astarion clearly wanted to say something, the way his lips were slightly parted. Had she done something wrong? She took a half a step back but, quick as a swatting cat, his hand grabbed her wrist. She wanted to pull away, half expecting to get punched in the gut, but… his touch was extremely soft, more like a caress.
“You’re a cheeky pup, are you not?” With that, the tension was broken. Leeith breathed a sigh of relief, until a realisation set in.
“Cheeky pup?” She repeated, bewildered. "I've been called many things: slut, brat, mistress, mommy by one weird guy, but cheeky pup? And here I thought you were about to stab me." She giggled for a bit, covering her mouth with one hand. The elf sucked on his teeth, looking down with a somewhat irritated, but amused, expression.
"I might just call you that more, it fits better than expected.” His eyes lingered on her body, with a gaze that spoke of one thing: desire. She knew it all too well, for the same was written in her eyes.
“I quite liked blood sucker, but I’ll have to find something else. Pet, maybe?” Continued the drow, in an effort to regain her territory and dominion over the conversation. Astarion wasn’t having it, instead both of his hands lingered on her forearms, moving down the palms of her hands. Fuck it, what did she have to lose from letting go of pride for once?
“You know, darling, I’ve been thinking more and more about you. Remembering our time together, the things we shared - and I don't mean just that lovely neck of yours.” His index flew upwards, tickling her throat with a soft touch. “I’m growing to like the whole package, honestly, and you clearly like me too, so…”
“So…” She raised her eyebrow; her face was anything but timid.
“Come now, don’t be coy. Your body has already given you away.” He leaned down, so that his lips were barely brushing against Leeith’s ear and neck, grabbing her elbows so that she couldn’t move away.
“I could feel it, you know? As I was getting lost in your neck, your little shakes of excitement.” His fangs barely scraped the skin, earning an exhale from the drow. “You enjoyed it, didnt you?”
Her thoughts went to that night, when she was awakened by a shadow suddenly looming over her during the trance. The revelation of him being a vampire wasn't particularly mind blowing - the only thing the guy was missing was a long bat-like cape -, but it was welcomed. Vampires were as feared in the underdark as in the surface: she would have been able to go a lot higher in the ranks with a creature that powerful to help her.
What she wasn't expecting was the rush of adrenaline that followed the bite. Blood. That was blood. Not of a rat or other beast, but real sentient blood. It filled his mouth and throat so sweetly, like an avalanche of honeyed wine. His mind, his body, all was getting clear as more and more red poured from the drow's veins straight on his tongue. Gods that was spectacular. He wanted to run, fight, gauge someone's eyes out with just his fingers. Pure power was cursing through his long dead veins for the first time in two centuries. He was at peace, content, he wanted to laugh and stare at the sun. Nothing around him existed; he had all that he needed and more. Yes, more. Why stop? He could have killed everyone at camp, satiate his hunger and be free forever. He bit harder and, like ripe grapes, more juice exploded in his mouth. Fear? What was that? He certainly wasn't afraid. He was on top of the fucking world! Fear. Red eyes looming below him, demanding to stop, reaching up to him. Cazador? No matter what, he was still here, still holding him hostage. The hand reached up again. It was pushing him away. He glanced down: the drow's red eyes were pale, half lidded. Dizziness and feebleness overtook him, as her grey hand didn't have the strength to hold onto his shirt anymore. The vampire let go, smiling. The drow's body was shaking under him. She panted heavily, coming down the same high he felt.
The faintest of grins was on her lips when she finally sat up. The vampire was radiant in front of her. She was as blood-drunk as him, having felt his same emotions and thoughts for those few minutes; now they were turning fuzzy and dark, but still the excitement remained.
With a roll of her eyes, Leeith chuckled, returning to the present . She had enjoyed it greatly both the first and second time he had fed on her. “A lady never tells.” She responded, acting believably coy.
“You don’t have to say a thing. I already know how you feel, because I feel it too.” He let her go, straightening his back again to look in her eyes. “We could take an evening to ourselves, get away from camp - get some privacy. I know somewhere quiet, somewhere intimate. Somewhere we can… indulge in each other.” As he spoke, his voice got lower and more soothing.
“A less trusting person might think this all sounds very suspicious.” An earnest smile painted her lips. She absolutely knew she had him in her grasp, but wasn’t expecting the pieces to fall her way so quickly.
“Haha, thank goodness we’re all such good, trusting friends, then. On my honour, the only thing in my mind is depraved, carnal lust.” He grinned, placing a hand on his chest as if to swear an oath.
“I suppose one night, no strings attached… that sounds good to me.”
“Wonderful. I just hope we don’t have to wait too long before we can steal away.” The vampire whined, before returning to his hushed, sultry tone. “But once we can, I promise you a night you’ll never forget.”
“Quite the big commitment. I hope you won't change your mind.” She crossed her arms
“I wouldn’t dare. I told you, you deserve a reward. I am so very pleased with what you gave me.” Astarion got hold of her hand and raised it to his lips, placing a silky kiss on her knuckles. “Shall we go back, Lover?”

Quickly dumping out the Enbarr notes, since I'm sure the Shambhala section will have a ton of infodumping to note.
I think the only difference from VW is that we run some weird plan where a lot of our troops sneak into Enbarr ahead of the rest of the army moving in. Because uuuuh I guess we're weaker than the united army with Leicester? Everything else is pretty much exactly the same, including Dedue's part and the Edelgard death cinematic.
tbh I think it actually ends up feeling even weaker here? I thought it would fit better, since this is the "you like Edelgard but can't agree with her" route, but since she appears so little and her writing is so bizarre and confused... It actually feels kinda worse, since her dialogue feels incredibly inconsistent.
I thought I'd have some more appreciation for Edelgard after this route, but uh. I don't. Hm.
Anyway, onto more interesting points, I am starting to get the impression that Rhea and Seteth don't actually know much about the Agarthans. I think they might not actually know that the mysterious "those who slither in the dark" are from Agartha (and that's why they have beef), and it's basically explicit that they don't know who helped Nemesis make the Sword.
Which isn't an issue, but it's hard to remember that they know so little in practice.
Liveblogging:
A priestess mentions that they lost contact with all church personnel in Enbarr when the war started.
A soldier mentions that some of our troops have already departed for Enbarr dressed as merchants and traveling performers. We have an entire plan to have small squads sneak toward the capital and link up with the main army. The Empire apparently thinks we have abandoned our plans to invade (after Merceus).
Sylvain didn't think he's live this long (in the war)... bby. He wants to strike down the empire for Dimtri...
Apparently, we think Rhea is in Enbarr because of a soldier from Merceus. I guess Judith only told us that the Empire captured her. I already forgor.
The pre-battle blurb also mentions the troops moving in secret and our surprise attack on Enbarr. I don't recall this from VW. We were already outnumbered there, so I guess here with just the Church and Judith's troops, we're even worse off.
Based on the map close up during the pre-battle exposition, it looks like Enbarr was built on the delta where a river forks into two, with both ranches leading into the sea on the west.
Oh, Dedue is here! AC lied to me :( (/jk)
The music for his entrance is uh... imo it's a bit too heroic, given that he's here because Dimitri ended up like that.
He came after Gronder field, so... two months ago, since there was Merceus in between but not anything else. He gives us info on the inside of the castle (layout, presumably) and tells us that Rhea is at the palace.
Edelgard's axe, Aymr, is described as "a Crest Stone weapon designed to Edelgard's specifications, allowing her to use Raging Storm."
Edelgard's class, Emperor, is "With unparalleled defense, Edelgard appears as an unstoppable force in the legendary armor of the Adrestian Emperor." Note that her armor is a boobplate. So like... did they modify it for her, or....
Edelgard is so confusing. Even to the last, she goes on about how determined she is to "free this world" from the "vile grasp" of the "false goddess and her minion." But like... Edelgard has NO basis for beef with Sothis or Rhea. It's so puzzling and empty.
Dialogue with Seteth: He tells Edelgard to return Rhea and release her grip on Fodlan. Edelgard says that if we strike her down, "they" will return. So she can't permit what we desire (????? what? like, you'd assume she means the Agarthans, but everything else points to her talking about the Nabateans). She also knows that Seteth is a child of the goddess and thinks he can't be permitted power over the people. This is SO wild.
Anyway, to get this dialogue, I let Seteth get the last hit. The Edelgard death cutscene makes equally little sense on this route, btw. Edelgard was going "fuck you guys, I didn't think you'd make it this far, but I don't care and I'm never giving up" in the battle, but now she's all "you must strike me down to move forward, I wanted to walk with you..." GIRL WHAT
Hubert going behind Edelgard's back to write us a letter where he's basically entrusting the future and Fodlan to us is like....... l m a o This was whatever on VW, but on a route where we are the Church and those lizards Edelgard hates so much... god.
Anyway, Seteth apparently didn't really believe the Agarthans were behind all this, or else even around at all. He's very shocked and unhappy about Hubert's letter.
OK, unlike VW, where Claude is there for the info dumps and Rhea holds at least some stuff back, here she has no reason to hide anything. And she says she does not know where or how Nemesis got the Sword of the Creator. They only guessed that someone must have given him this power and tried to investigate it, but they never found the answer. They only NOW surmise that it was the Agarthans. ...hang on, do they even know that "those who slither in the dark" are from Agartha....
Felix and Sylvain are together at the monastery, cute. Felix even calls Dimitri by name when talking about defeating the Empire and the Agarthans to let him rest in peace.
Catherine backstory: She was born in House Charon in Faerghus > was called Thunderstrike Cassandra > attempted Officers Academy, was saved by Rhea as a student > was implicated in "a plot to kill the king" (seems to be Duscur) > fled to the monastery since she felt it was safe > Rhea hired her > and had her execute Christophe when he tried to assassinate Rhea, though the charges given publicly were regarding Duscur.
Is that right?
Anyway, next time: Shambhala

Everyone making far fetched theories and manage to connect the moon to their skinny jeans: "Sarah janet maas is the best writer. The queen of forshadowing! Obviously this little detail in the second book that was never mentioned again after is a clear forshadowing for my ship! Her mind blows my mind. She's a genuis and y'all just lack reading comprehension!"
Sarah j maas:
"Her youngest sister had been taken by this male because Nesta herself hadn't been able to face him. Tamlin had even looked at her and asked if she'd go in Feyre's place. And she had said no, because she was a hateful, horrible coward." Acosf, when she met Tamlin.
Miss maas- this sh*t did not happen in the first book.
Either she legit forgot what actually happened or she changed it to spice it up for... whatever reason. Nesta already feels guilty for a lot of things, including the ones where she's not even at fault. Why the hell try to make her out to be this monster that she isn't?! For angst? So she can fill the pages, since she didn't know what else to write?! Literally, what was the point of changing that???? That whole scene was dumb anyways because it felt like Sarah wanted some badass moment, using Tamlin as a punchbag so we can all scream "OMG YASSS QUEEN".
Queen of forshadowing my ass. Her villains and ships are obvious as hell and there are plenty of plotholes left. There's a map, a clear worldbuilding, yet we've been only in the night court for 4 books. Her characters are the most powerful people in the whole universe, but need whole armies and as much as help to kill of the Hybern King. There's no logic behind the magic system either.
Best writer my ass.
okay I didn't remember that quote from acosf about Tamlin asking Nesta to take Feyre's place, but you're right, that was stated in acosf, and it NEVER HAPPENED in acotar. I just checked my ebooks to be sure. ldjalkdjaslkjdlakjslkjasd That's so fucking funny because you're right, Nesta already had enough reasons to loathe herself, and tbh she doesn't need rational, real reasons to do so, sometimes you just hate yourself lmaoooo It's not like the intervention scene where she was able to literally rewrite it from acofas to acosf, sjm just completely retconned that fact from four books ago.
I know people have a lot of fun making theories and trying to figure out the next books, but literally sjm does not plan like that. Everything revolves around who she wants to bang. She figures that out, then makes the plot fit around that, to make the banging happen. She doesn't sit there thinking about the meaning of colors, she literally said in an interview that the Valkyrie bracelet colors were just a vibe, but people are out here acting like the curtains are blue!
If she didn't leave *some* hint as to where things were going, she'd be even worse than a bad writer. She's a pantser which is totally fine, but you're right. All these little details are so freaking inconsequential, unless she decides later on that she wants them to be meaningful. Then in retrospect it's like "omg, look at this clue she left for us" when I'm willing to bet that she did it retroactively.
I do think, to her credit, the reason we're so invested is because she does the characters and their psychology well. I just rewatched my acowar reread video from 2018 (I can link it if y'all want) which I posted prior to the acofas release, and I was right about the characters. I was right about how Nesta and Elain would grieve their father and feysand having a baby soon (I said I wouldn't be surprised if it happened, despite what Feyre said.) I did say that I thought Cassian knew Mor is queer, which I haven't been proven right about - however, I am not convinced that she is executing that issue of Mor being queer particularly well.
SJM's characters are her strength, and so if I make predictions, it's based on that. Where they're at psychologically, how they are reacting to situations, who is mated, who is sad about mates, what kind of circumstances characters are in, where they want to be. If we were to break down the effort she puts into different parts of her writing, it would be like 50% characters and characterization, 45% romance, and 5% everything else (world, plot, prose).
And that's another reason why I keep insisting that trying to figure out ships based on where plots might go is... a crapshoot at best. That's not the way she prioritizes. It's always 1) the couple/who she wants to bang, and then 2) whatever she needs to write to make that happen. "There's no plot for X ship" okay well we all read acosf, right? Because plot is not her priority or concern, she can and will do whatever it takes, no matter how inconsistent or ill-defined, to get two characters banging. There are things that make more sense, characters who are more or less connected to different plots than other characters. But never underestimate her willingness to make Amren have some random ass memory of something that changes the plot completely in order to make the ship she wants to happen, happen.

i saw your post on a sheikah getting the spirit stone and i must say paya is the better fit for that stone while purah would be slated with time
also dragon tear number 12 should have also spawned forth another stone as well, and this one being Link's own Stone of Light, though i cannot think of anything for it besides a complete basic damage and durability boost to the master sword [though it would replace that shitty map option in the ability wheel]
Both Paya and Purah got totally snubbed in TOTK regardless, they deserved so much more.
Tbh tho, I'm not sure how giving Link a secret stone would work from a gameplay perspective. A strength boost with a cooldown would be great, but seem pretty dissappointing compared to the other powers? Perhaps like. A light laser? Like what Rauru had?

tf2 heist gang… they r found family… & they steal things…… who does what and how good do you think they steal
scout: well, flanking is something he's good at, and i'd imagine that would translate well into a heist situation! think of ctf maps for example, and how scout's are often seen going after intel. he is good at stealing, but might make the occasional mistake (it is scout after all /lh)
soldier: he probably does whatever is necessary, can adapt to most situations. thinking of soldier stealing things reminds me of expiration date, and how he took the bread and literally no one noticed? so with that in mind, he's suprisingly decent at being a thief.
pyro: well-rounded, i think. i can see them being able to do many tasks, and helping out engie set stuff up. would absolutely set off every alarm possible. may not be the best thief compared to others but tries their best!
demo: absolutely the distraction. he could blow something up to draw attention somewhere else, tell stories to distract people, etc etc. not the best at stealing but great help for not letting others get caught.
heavy: ough, this is tough one. i can't really see him stealing tbh, but would be great for backing everyone else up!
engie: teleporter goin' up! making quick escapes would be helpful. i can see him using other gadgets and what not as well to help out. might not be the best at stealing, but helpful to those who are
medic: i'm not exactly sure what medic would do tbch, he's pretty tricky to fit into the heist theme. absolutely there for the chaos of it all though!
sniper: get away driver! also able to distract, well-rounded in scripted conversations (modbot suggested this and i agree) honestly, can't imagine him actually stealing anything though, i feel like he'd feel guilty about it and turn himself in or something
spy: probably the mastermind behind everything. disguises and the ability to cloak are insanely helpful! spy is practically made for this stuff, heists are pretty much child's play to him. working as a team would prove as a struggle though, as he is an independent worker.
thank you for the ask, anon! i had fun answering this! -cb

My thoughts about Forward and the new expansion announcement (not sure who wants to read my long rambles but I need to ramble anyway)
So, about "Forward"... it's bittersweet to say the least. Absolutely understandable that they want to get the overpowered god-like dragon out of the way for the next story, and if there's anyone who deserves a good fucking nap more than the Commander it's Aurene, but still, oof my feels. I really hope we'll see our dragon daughter again, this can't be the last time T_T At least it's nice that it's finally the year 1336 AE (the whole Gyala Delve stuff was in 1335 AE still), so we can hope that the Commander got to recover a bit from what they were going through before this drops on them.
As for the expansion, I'm actually a bit all over the place (in positive?). Like, I'm still hyped, but... I'll be honest, I liked the dragon cycle stuff, and the apparent direction of the story isn't exactly at the peak of my interests. It'll have to do a lot of work to get me (and my characters) invested as much as before, and I do hope it will succeed because it's looking simply gorgeous and fun. That said, having Zojja there is already a big bonus, and there are some potential storylines that could get my attention depending on where they go. Also I still want to bet that the big baddy is going to be a really fucked up Menzies (he's got his half-bro's laugh, aww), and the Kryptis are looking absolutely terrible in all the good ways. I do hope this expansion won't permanently alter old maps though, but since Garenhoff ain't looking that good after the boom... (at least keep it all in Kessex, since there's the ToM stuff already)
Game-wise, there's quite a lot of meat to this "mini" expansion! I'm not sure how to feel about the whole weapon thing, as it was interesting to have limited options (like how the engineer and warrior lacked "proper" magic so they made do with what they had) and eventually having ALL weapons available feels too much tbh (and a nightmare to balance), but I guess we'll see how it feels during this weekend's beta and I'm always ready to be positively surprised. As for the rest, it all seems interesting and potentially awesome, though I do worry it might end up being too much at once (I love Warframe, but their releases tend to be A LOT for more, and this feels a lil' too close to that in scope).
Honestly, right now I'm probably just a tad overwhelmed by the sudden info-bomb drop. With more teasers, previews and betas I'll likely find it a bit more familiar and comfortable by the time of the release.
-
Personal characters-wise, I hate having so much stuff up in the air.
The words Aurene used would absolutely be what Aurelia needed to hear, especially after adjusting to things post-Gyala. Rough, but doable at this point in time, since she's got her family and a lot of friends. No idea about my Herald of Aurene, Ethanryel, who is pretty much in the same position as Caithe, but Aurene's words would have been for them too so they may be more or less active depending on where the story goes.
For the expansion, Aurelia has tons of potential, especially if anything relates to what actually happened to her in the Mists (the story is technically written already, but I'm ready to change to more lore-compliant stuff and fill in the intentional mysteries if the shoe fits). As for others, again it depends on where the story goes in general. Most of my characters have taken advantage of the lulls in world-ending threats to live their own lives, so they might be out of the picture, but some might have big reasons to return to the active storyline if their "thing" is relevant (and I'm so hoping to give more canon attention to some).

So how come you never could get into Sunset Shimmer as a character even with her redemption arc? How come you prefer Discord and Starlight given Discord did trip at the finish line with the fake Grogar twist and Starlight got let off the hook way too easy with no one holding a grudge against her (compared to everyone in school treating Sunset like a social pariah)?
More time to develop those plot points in the series than in the movies - I know it's only because it's harder to fit everything into 1 hour long movie than into 5 seasons of tv show (that's how long Starlight has been in it), but it still affects my enjoyment regardless
Sunset didn't have "failed cult village" backstory which to me is important part why I like Starlight so much. Mind you, Sunset still does some mind control thing but it just isn't the same. I watched "The Cutie Map" knowing nothing of what will happen and it has bigger impact on me than anything EG could come up with. This also affects my judgement of SG on some subconscious level I think
No one hold grudges against Starlight? I'm not really sure is it even true. Mane 6 didn't, but I'm not so sure about the rest of the ponies. But also it's really believable to me since Equestria is monarchy after all and Starlight got green light from princess herself. She's protected by someone who's got very real influence and power. Sunset Shimmer don't; both of their storylines makes sense for their respective environments but I prefer Starlight's more tbh
Sunset isn't friends with Trixie which I think adds a lot to Starlight's development as a character
Sunset's fight with Midnight Twilight (or however she was called) may be somehow comparable to Starlight vs. Chrysalis but the latter had bigger emotional impact on me. There's many reasons for this but one of them is that it wasn't happening in goddamn highschool
It's not directly stated but Starlight being more talented with magic than even Twilight herself also ads some depth to her character but I would need to write whole essay about this meanwhile I don't really have mental energy rn. And while I know Sunset is controlling powerful magic too it's not the same imo as Starlight because Sunset is 1/ still in a highschool environment, 2/ her motivations are different
Very personal bias tinted fact but I prefer magical horses than magical highschoolers
On the Discord part...
Yep, Grogar twist was dumb af. It happened at the end of season 9 though which gives us at least 7 seasons with Discord but without Grogar plotline
Discord still being slightly evil is part of the appeal to me
You know what, it also applies to Starlight. Because I do think she's still slightly evil in some ways, just good at hiding it, and it works to me. It's more like personal headcanon of mine though, you can disagree
He's and edgelord and I like edgelords

hello Ky! ♡♡
i'm not really feeling better, sorry. what about you ? are you alright ? i hope you had a good week!
yeah about kaeya,, apparently there was an official storyboard (don't remember what it's called) for an animation of him fighting ? i hope we'll get to see him in action and see what he's really capable of.
so khaenri'ah would look like we saw in enka and the chasm ? it was really pretty :) but wow, if what you say is true then that means the country (?) in which khaenri'ah was spreads under the entire map of teyvat, or at least most of it ? that's huuuge
so glad they're directly giving khaenri'ah lore instead of just mentioning it. meeting the serpent knights and seeing actual lines in khaenri'ahn is great C:
thank you so so much for sharing these theories! i can't give any back because lack of braincells, but i really like reading your point of view and what you think will happen <3
yeah... i don't remember where it's mentionned but he is a menace to society. and about scara, some people think that he might finally explain what he's doing and somewhat change the traveler's mind about the gods, giving him some sort of redemption arc or something. but wowww... imagine having childe getting defeated by scara after training for so long :( again, i like your theory tho. can't wait to see what mhy gives us.
i'm very sorry i don't really add anything to the table in my asks, please tell me if you mind ;; i wish you a good day/night! i love you, please take care ♡♡
- 🦊
Love, are you sure there's nothing I can do? A comfort piece, a drawing, anything? Tbh none of my requests really interest me and I'm not pressuring myself to do anything, I really want to do something for you!
Maybe so! I feel like it would most look like the chasm. The cubes everywhere, the upside down city, the ruins, the atmosphere, it all fits. Enkanomiya feels...lonely, abandoned. The Chasm feels saddening, mournful. There was a loss in one, the other just moved towns HAHA
Also I noticed it was pretty windy in Enkanomiya, I'm wondering if that's thanks to Istaroth, The God of Wind and Time of whom they also worshipped? AND YES I love the lore-- fighting the husks (the ones with voicelines) revealed so much omg- We can tell that they had no idea the nail was coming, that they tried to use it, and if they aren't just spouting random words or something, they see us as the relative of a tyrant and a person from a "false world." Lots of things pointing to the fake sky theory too!
Please, I dedicate all of my 23 braincells to this lore, it's really not healthy osijgisujheg- thank you though <33
I CANNOT tell you how excited I am to see Traveler realize he can't trust the Gods. Will they go after them? Will they start ignoring everyone who asks things of them unless it helps them? Will they expose them to everyone? Will they try and get revenge? Ooh and what will Paimon do? He'd probably stop listening to them as she forces them into so many things, what then? ahh so much potential
Nono you add a lot! Again I'm really not used to having friends, so just having someone to talk to is nice. but you've also got me thinking on many of my theories and helped to more developments and whatnot! plus, you're a pleasure to talk to in general. Please try to trust me when I say I really enjoy having you here. <3
Take care, love, and have a nice day!

I saw your post of Damien, Emilko, and Wally. And I still believe the teen titans would be 10x better if you took djinn, roundhouse and Crush our and replace them with Maya, Mapps, Jon and a 4th to fill out their magical spot.
UUGH YES!!!! that would be like the dream team!!!And everyone would actually be friends, not just a bunch of unrelated teens sticking together... But hey maybe add Kathy to the roster too~also.. does suren count as the magical spot?? idk haha

Uhhh but like.. wands and broomsticks that fly is very normal magic? Idk I might be missing something here but that's like the stuff from stories in (I'd say like maybe the majority?) of Europe, together with potions? It fits very well into European's magic myths? Aksjdj but I may have misunderstood you here idk. But yeah, I always found it weird that the UK had it's own school while the rest of Europe shared two schools?? But then again, I'm pretty sure it was said the students are French and uh Bulgarian? I think? So what's up with the rest of the continent? Hell, what's with Asia? Imagine if they had only one school! That would be hell! Tbh it would make a lot more sense if like... every country has their own school? Like a) not every eleven year old kid is able to speak perfect English (aka the language they most likely would converse in, but this goes for any second language probably) and is probably unable to follow the lessons because of that. b) it's just.... too many students for two schools? like we're talking about how many countries? 40-something if you exclude the UK? with lots of different cultures and lots of students probably? I think Germany, or Spain, alone would need their own school, with some Austrian or Swiss students because these are smaller countries and they share a language. (Well, half-half in Switzerland and both countries have their specific dialects etc. but they would still be able to communicate without much struggle). You would probably need multiple schools in the US, too!
There are probably some families that teach their kids magic on their own, but as far as I remember that stuff was never actually established so this is just a wild guess. But most of Europe to do this? Unlikely.
I was more thinking about the one or two word Latin incantations than the wands and broomsticks and potions, although wands and broomsticks are part of a specific image of magic and as far as I’m aware have very little in common with actual historical practices. But definitely the Latin is a bigger issue; if nothing else, why are modern spells written in Latin and not... I don’t know, the actual language the inventor speaks? Also apparently some of the spells are actually based in ancient Greek, so clearly it’s not tied to one language; why would it be majority Latin? What about people who can’t pronounce Latin words? Not everyone can pronounce certain sounds! Also if they’re using classical Latin they pronounce spells wrong in the movie, can’t speak to ecclesiastical but if magic is as old as it’s supposed to be I’d say it would probably be classical anyway ...Also I’m now wondering why the fuck there isn’t a Latin class at Hogwarts, you’d think that would be useful.
The thing with the number of schools is... talking about North America, Toronto alone has over a hundred high schools? One city has more high schools than the wizarding world has schools in total across all of Europe. I know Canada’s big, but it’s not that big. If wizards are that rare then intermarrying with muggles or no they should be so extinct by now! Even with one school per country and keeping in mind that most European countries have much smaller populations than Canada, that would still be an insanely small population. Also there’s travel time to keep in mind; yes, some students will live farther from the school than others and that’s inevitable, but... well. Let’s start with Hogwarts, because it’s the smallest area: Belfast to London? Assuming Ireland doesn’t have its own route to Hogwarts? Nine and a half hours by car. By train, twelve hours. That is a long time for a bunch of kids to travel to get to another train, a lot of it in the wrong direction! Hell, according to the internet London to Fort William (in the Scottish Highlands, although I don’t know how close it would be to Hogwarts’s location) is thirteen hours! And that’s the smallest area we know of that a magical school covers! Let’s talk Ilvermorney, in Massachusets; I hope they use floo powder or something, because to get there from Alaska that is a 73 hour drive. Even flying it’s still eight and a half hours at a minimum! And I feel really bad for the Hawaiian students, because a flight to Massachusetts from there is over eleven hours! These travel times are insane and I strongly suspect JKR didn’t bother looking at a map before placing these schools. Also if the various schools do use floo powder or portkeys or something (which I can only assume they do because holy shit) why the fuck doesn’t Hogwarts? Again, unless the Hogwarts Express is insanely fast that’s still half a day, plus however long it takes people to get to London! Why doesn’t the train at least set off from a more central location or have multiple stops this is so stupid-
Basically yeah, the placement and numbers of the schools makes no sense and I hate it, also I have just spent far too much time looking up travel times.

Information on Amy.
(Be warned it's a ~little bit~ long, any other pieces of information you want to know I'll gladly answer if you ask.)
~General Information~
Fandom: Toy Story.
Name: Amy the Ragdoll.
Nickname, if any: Amy, Ames, and Doll-Face(usually by more villainous characters or used in a joking manner).
Gender: Female.
Sexuality: ??? (I mean I know the gender of who she has a crush on, but I'm unsure on what her actual sexuality should be tbh)
Age: Mentally, mid-twenties in the first story second movie, thirties to forties in the third and fourth. Physically, she doesn’t have an age, but in regards to when she was made (the 1950’s) makes her fifty to sixty.
City they currently live in: San Francisco, apparently that’s where Toy Story takes place.
Any pets: Would Rex count? He just follows her around like a nervous puppy.
Current occupation: I mean she’s practically a therapist, but she’s a toy and she only treats Rex so it probably doesn’t count lol
~Physical Appearance~
Height: 10 inches.
Body type: Stocky, but a bit gangly too, similar to Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Eye colour: Black.
Skin tone: Light.
Clothing style: Pale green/turquoise shirt with short puffed sleeves, with a denim dungaree dress with a daisy print in the centre over it. She wears yellow rain boots.
Hairstyle: No style, it’s just there. It’s messy and gets in her face easily and is made out of dark brown thin string.
~Speech/Language/Communication~
Amy speaks quietly and politely, rambles a bit if left without a reply or under pressure, very nervous in front of intimidating characters.
First language: English.
Learned languages: A bit of Spanish (Ya’ll remember Toy Story 3!)
Accent: American.
Pitch of voice: High, but soft, not quite annoying, unless she’s stressed, then it gets very pitchy and shrill.
~Behaviour/Habits~
Amy tends to just stand there when she can’t find anything to do, and will immediately try to find Rex, Hamm, Buzz or Jessie if surrounded by strangers (Though she’s not sure if it’s for their comfort or her own) Amy is very polite.
Spending habits: She doesn’t like to be made a fuss of at all, the very fact of someone giving something to her is unnerving (even if the thing never costed anything at all) and she feels compelled to give the giver something in return.
Morning routine: She gets up same time as the others, but wishes she could stay in bed a bit longer though. Before she came to Andy’s room, her sleep pattern was all over the place.
Bedtime routine: Similar to above, now she goes to bed the same time as the others, but before she just slept and got up willy-nilly.
Nervous habits: Amy will try to find Rex if she’s nervous, and she’ll pretend it’s because she’s worried for him, which is quite true, but she also just feels most safe with him. Speaking of, Amy will let Rex hold her hand and squish it whenever he or Amy is nervous, it’s calming to the both of them.
Bad habits: Not a very good exerciser, but then again, she’s spend basically half her life in a small attic, so I’ll give her a break.
Skills/talents: She’ very logical, mind-over-matter, (mostly, very good at calming others down and/or convincing them. She’s very good at spelling and knows quite a lot of words, some of which others haven’t even heard of.
Hobbies: Reading, talking (especially with Rex, Jessie or Hamm), and generally just lazing about or walking around somewhere, on her own or with a friend.
~The Past~
Amy’s first owner was a little girl called Alice. Alice loved nothing more than to read Amy stories (Mostly fairy tales), but of course, Alice grew up like all kids do, and she left Amy in the attic for someone else to have her.
Amy waited for many years, and all that time she’d never given up that someone would find her.
She thought she’s hit the jackpot when Andy and his family move into Alice’s old house, but they don’t go up into the attic to collect her. Some weeks later, though, Andy’s mother brings a set of boxes filled with junk into the attic and leaves. Woody, Buzz, Slinky, and Rex were trapped in one of the boxes (Call me a cheater but this part was actually inspired by a Toy Story comic, where those four toys get stuck in the attic that way and have to escape. It struck me odd that they never met at least one new friend there, so I made one. It was also my first story, I needed some inspiration!)
Amy, in a fit of panic, goes and hides.
But then she’s found by Rex as he and the others try to find a way out.
They then decide to let the strange, dust-covered ragdoll come back to Andy’s rom with them. (well, Rex did, anyway.)
Home town: Would Alice’s old room count? But it’s now Andy’s Room, so it won’t count will it?
Happy or sad childhood: Pretty normal to be honest, as normal a life as a toy could have anyway. And as for sadness, having spent all that time on her own for all those years, having missed out on so much, is a little sad. But Amy made sure she never became bitter over it or used it as an excuse for anything.
Earliest memory: Waking up in her toy store, with a friend of hers for company (a ragdoll Prospector, a much as she remembers) and as she gets bought by Alice’s Auntie, she says she hopes he gets picked up by a kid. (Unbeknownst to her, she would meet him again in a while to find out he never got to experience it)
Saddest memory: One, being left by Alice, yet being so happy for her and how much she’s grown up, if she could cry tears of joy for her owner, she would. Two, some (or most) of the days she spent waiting for a new owner to arrive. And three, watching Rex have a mental breakdown of anxiety.
Happiest memory: One, the time she and Alice went to the park, (Amy absolutely adores nature) Two after sliding down a drainpipe to get to Andy’s room, and three, having known she’d helped her friend out.
Significant events: Being bought, being left in an attic, being rescued from the attic, while gaining some new friends.
~Family~
The entirety of Andy’s room, whether they like it or not, they’re all in this together and are some kind of mish-mash, found family in a sense.
Siblings: I’ve been thinking of giving Amy a brother (since I based her on Raggedy Ann, a matching bootleg Raggedy Andy seems reasonable) bur I’m unsure about it, since I’ve already mapped out Amy’s entire series of stories (Around six or seven all together, so far I’m currently writing only the third) and I can only fit him in the fifth or sixth if I can.
~Relationships~
Romantically? I’d like to say she has a crush on Rex, I don’t know why I thought of it, I was contemplating it one day as I sketched a rough (and terrible) sketch of her, and I drew Rex too because he’s just so fun to draw and I wanted to make a scale for Amy’s size, and one of my friends (who had been watching me) immediately said “I ship it!” and well, the rest is history, I made the decision to ship it too.
Friends: Jessie, Hamm, Buzz, and Rex are her closet friends, but she’d like to say that all the Gang are her friends. Later on she becomes good friends with Mr. Prickle Pants, Buttercup, Trixie and Totoro, and she absolutely loves the peas and Forky.
Best friend(s): Hamm, Mr. Prickle Pants, Jessie, and Rex.
What do people like about them? Amy’s pretty easy to talk to, she’s polite and attentive and will sit in companionable silence with someone if they need it. But she won’t hesitate to give hard truths and advice if it’s needed.
What do people dislike about them? Amy is quite a doormat, if someone is rude to her or breaches anything she just lets it happen, and sometimes she’s too indecisive about her own stuff, unsure whether she’s going to offend others or not over the smallest things, which annoys others quite a bit.
~Mentality/Personal Beliefs~
Amy is a toy of logic, and though she believes others can do it if they set their minds to it, she doesn’t quite believe in herself. She believes she must follow the rules of being a toy at all times, no matter what.
Phobias: Dust. She hates it. It took a good five weeks to brush all the dust out her hair and clothes, and even so there’s still some in her pockets and places she can’t reach. And being alone, too. Now she can’t be alone for more than an hour before she starts to get antsy and nervous. And for a short time books gave her a strange tiredness, after reading them for so long and for so many years she couldn’t even stand the sight of them.
But of course, not for long, since Amy found out Andy had a copy of Red’s Dream by a Mr. William Reeves.
Optimist or pessimist: Depends on the situation really, if her mind can’t come up with a solution, then there’s no point in trying anymore. Unless someone else can think of something, that is.
Personal philosophies: “You are here to make good things happen. No person here is made for one reason only, or even only one. There’s no point in pretending to be someone you’re not just for the attention of others, no matter how cool they are. We should find are own meaning, as we’re the only ones who have control of it.
It’ll take a while, but I swear, it’ll be worth it.”
Biggest dream/wish: Amy wants nothing more than to find meaning for herself, but finds it rather hard to do so. Of course, that doesn’t mean she’ll settle for someone else’s meaning. As cheesy as it sounds, she just wants an adventure. She doesn’t necessarily want to be the hero, though, she’s just happy to go along with the ride so long as it gets her out the house for a few hours. She also, above all else, wants Rex to find meaning too, even if she never does, it would be nice to know that he had.
Greatest strength(s): Persuasion, story-telling, logic, and good grammar.
Biggest flaw: Despite being a ragdoll, Amy can’t sew because of her fingerless hands, which are just soft mittens in shape. Amy is also quite a doormat, as I said before, so if her calm persuasion and reasoning doesn’t work, she’s left to be walked all over.
Regrets: Staying in that dratted attic too long, the window was open, she could’ve just climbed out, but no, she had to stay there for some mind-rotting decades. But if she had just escaped, she would never have met her new friends. Amy just wishes she had met them a lot sooner.
Achievements: Escaped the attic, slid down a drainpipe, leapt onto the windowsill (though nearly knocking Woody and Buzz over in the process) stopped her friend from having a panic attack, and managed to remember the entire Dictionary and is able to recite it down from A to Z, and even Z to A.
Secrets: Not much, just strange feelings for one of her friends, but it’s not much of a secret, Bo knows, and Mr. Potato Head and Hamm could see it from a mile away, and the others have their suspicions.
Goals: Read the entirety of Andy’s (and later Bonnie’s) bookshelves, become more confident in herself, have her own book-worthy adventure, and figure out what those strange feelings for her friend is.
~Likes/Favourites~
Favourite colour: Even before meeting Rex, Amy’s favourite colour was always green. Every time Alice had taken her to the park, Amy adored watching the sunlight pour through the leaves with a golden-green glow.
Favourite book(s): Because it’s sentimental to her, being her owner’s favourites, she loves Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and The Wizard of Oz. They all hold similar plots (a little girl in a blue dress goes to a fantasy land, has a few adventures, and then leaves said fantasy land to go home to her family and responsibilities) but it reminds Amy of her old owner Alice (who was actually named after Alice from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland) and their playtimes together.
Favourite Book Quotation(s):
“Green is the prime color of the world, and that from which its loveliness arises.”
“There is no living thing that is not afraid when it faces danger. The true courage is facing danger when you are afraid.”
Favourite movie: Amy does much prefer books, since they allow her to imagine the setting and characters in her own way, but doesn’t mind movies, and isn’t picky on what they watch, though she does quite like horror films.
Favourite song: Amy likes any kind of music, new or old.
Favourite game: Amy never really cared for games, the competitiveness always bothered her and stressed her out. But she’s more than happy to watch Rex play his video games and cheer him on.
~Relationships with other characters~
~Rex~
- Hit it off pretty quickly.
- Amy helps him with his anxiety, and helps him find confidence in himself, she acts as a certain therapist to him.
- Both become very stressed without the other around.
- Rex will hold and knead at Amy’s hands sometimes; it calms him down.
- Rex will let Amy ride on his back if she’s tired or needs to see something (Because she’s so short).
- One of them can basically be talking about the most boring-est things ever, yet still the other will hang on to their every word.
~Jessie~
- Became friends pretty quickly.
- Will drag Amy along anywhere.
- Get along fairly well.
- Jessie does the talking and Amy does the planning.
- Jessie always pranks the other toys and makes Amy tag along (along with Hamm).
- Introvert/Extrovert dynamic for sure.
- Both were left in alone for years so like to find solace in each other.
~Hamm~
- Hamm begrudgingly warmed up to the timorous ragdoll.
- Surprisingly good pals.
- Have full conversations without saying anything.
- Like to sit and look out of the window together.
- Hamm makes Amy laugh when she really shouldn’t (mainly when he makes fun of the other toys, mainly Woody).
- Hamm makes fun of Amy having a crush on Rex every once in a while, though he doesn’t mean any harm.
~The Potato Heads~
- Mr. doesn’t really interact with Amy much, but finds her surprisingly tolerable, if a bit high-strung and annoying.
- Like Hamm, Mr. makes Amy laugh at the most wrong moments.
- She and Mrs. Are quite good friends, and she sometimes lets Amy take care of the aliens if she and her husband are busy.
~Woody~
- Are aquianteces.
- Don’t exactly interact much, even though the whole room practically revolves around him, in Amy’s opinion, though she would never say it to his face.
~Buzz~
- Amy thinks he’s super cool (then again, he is Buzz Lightyear, he practically invented coolness)
- Both are just as clueless as one another when it comes to social cues and interactions.
- Amy helps him with vocabulary and spelling every once in a while.
~Mr. Prickle Pants~
- Are absolute BFF’s.
- Go back and forth with book quotes to the point of driving the other toys insane.
~Bo Peep~
- Amy's not exactly sure if Bo has befriended her or not.
- (She has)
- They later become good friends.
- Amy misses their talks, Bo was one of the only toys she could talk to that could keep a secret.

The thing that fashion anon said about Simone hiring RCM is indeed very smart. Cause her looks prior to RCM are very cutesy- she is stunning and has the looks to fit into the modelling world's search for unique features( wasn't she always a model?). Simone's personal style is very boho which doesn't go with the current map, if everyone was already looking at her they're now doing a double take. I think she says in an interview right? That she is still finding her personal style?
Last question : do you know why or how Simone was in the Vogue Prada Spread?( i'm just curious)
(Related to this ask.)
So I think when Simone first started out, Simone was trying for both acting and modelling, before eventually focusing on acting. (I’m pretty sure she talked about it on the podcast episode she did, and how even for modelling she has the ‘wrong body type/proportions’?)
I think Simone mentioned in her Vogue interview that she’s still finding her personal style, even though she does lean into the whole boho vibe, and she also mentioned Stevie Nicks being a style icon? You can definitely see that in her clothing from the Instagram posts prior to working with RCM. I’m guessing going forward, she might keep some of that, but we’ll perhaps see her experiment a bit more with different styles?
Tbh, I have wondered why Simone was featured in the Vogue Prada spread, because unlike the other actors, she wasn’t in something that was currently airing/about to air (Wunmi in Loki and Jessie in Shadow & Bone), or in Emma’s case a play (Anna X). It could have been for Sex Education, but then I would argue that it would have perhaps made more sense for Mimi Keene to have been included instead? I think this may have been a case of her PR team pushing for her to be included, maybe with an eye for her to eventually be on the cover?
