EP 4 was just mostly talking and conversations, but there was so much depth THAT I MUST TALK ABOUT IT.

I could literally feel the anguish exuding out of Sally trying to teach Percy to swim

I kinda like how annabeth knows so much about grover their dynamic in the show is just so chef’s kiss

I dont know if the whole “thalia made me earn it” thing is canon but its an interesting spin on their dynamic

Its interesting how they changed frederick chase in the show. In the book frederick never wanted annabeth but in the show frederick loved annabeth. It makes more sense now that percy asks her to go back especially in the books, that was very controversial to have annabeth seem like she was overexaggerating about what she went through with them

The moment when Mouse approached Bad when he was brain resetting in a little patch of flowers he placed down, how close they shifted to each other, it felt so ALIEN and and and cool and I’m so NORMALLL. And when Tina splashed herself with perfume and when she had that role play moment when (idk if it was canon or a character) she was SO OBSESSED with going to heaven, I think she was born a demon, and SOMEHOW acquired religious trauma along the line probably as a child. Born a demon left at an orphanage door idk and they made all the kids go to church or something and Tina was OBSESSED because it gave order and meaning to her life but she was a demon and-

Ok right questions. Sorry, gah I love demon trio. I need an arc where Mouse and Bad get together and try to help Tina. Love how Bad hides the fact he’s a demon not because he hates himself for it (maybe a little) but because he’s a recognizable wanted fucking criminal. Where was I going with this again?

okay i TOTALLY agree with you have so many thoughts, i was literally just thinking the same thing last night!!! The absolute difference in upbringing as far as the demons really shows in how they act and i have sooooo so many thoughts about it!!!

So first off, i dont really know how old mouse is in terms of her lore but as far as BBH is concerned hes fucking weird and is constantly alluding to his existence extended FAR before the universe even existed, hell even time and space, we dont actually know what the fuck his deal in full is actually!!! What we do know is he was summoned to Earth roughly eleven to fourteen thousand years ago!

Mouse gives us not as much age-wise from what ive heard but she has expressed that she considers two thousand year olds to be "baby" not quite baby but like VERY young! (I have a personal HC that bad's summoning let loose a new age of demons, maybe not all at once but very quickly so mouse would probably be over ten thousand years old)

Tina gives us absolutely NOTHING she doesnt like talking about her demon ancestry aside from hiding it (when bagi said mouse taught her how to smell demons tina quickly panicked and doused herself in perfume, etc etc. nothing super explicit from what ive seen but im relatively new to her lore). But i personally have a hc that shes roughly three thousand years old, coming into existence around the Middle Ages in 1000 CE. That might seem extremely young but honestly thats what im going for for her!!! super extremely young!!! and born around the time when Catholicism was popular!

In my mind, they all have very much different reasons for acting the way they do and im soooooo ill about it

As a BBH main i have the most information on him so ill be talking about the lore i know from him first before getting into the other two lovely ladies!! So what we've heard from BBH is that he prefers to "hide" his demonic features and "blend in" with humans as much as possible if he can, obviously he doesnt do very good at this but hes old as shit and very powerful so like who's gonna tell him??? From what we've heard of his lore, Bad is the cause of a LOT of minor and major disasters in history; Mt Vesuvius (who he named after a dead lover) exploding, the plague taking out most of europe (which he was a plague doctor for), and alongside other major things theres some minor events as well! Small wars he's been present in such as the HG war he was in with cellbit very recently, various other wars he eluded to that he recalled "blended together" because there were so many, that time he went to medical school for 15 minutes just to do brain surgery on that president on a boat.... he also knows a lot of major historical figures and hes been EVERYWHERE, we actually have a rough timeline of where he's been and when just based on who he knows. He knew not only the fucking guy who created the study of viruses, HIS ASS KNOWS ISAAC NEWTON..... and i think once he alluded to knowing goddamn adam and eve, maybe even being the snake in the goddamn garden. Considering its cannon to his lore that he was the angel locked beneath the euphrates river i wouldnt be surprised at that point.

All this to say: Bad has been present for and had an active hand in a LOT of major and minor disastrous historical events, and hes repeatedly talked about how people would chase him with torches and pitchforks - even referring to that activity as "therapy" and said thats the reason he doesnt believe in therapy, because it hurts and doesnt do anything for him except get him running.

Bad does not personally feel shame about his demonic features, he's used to hiding them (or at least intending to.... hes doing a bad job at it) for his own personal safety, because his role as >>>>A) a demon and B) the fucking ferryman of death<<<< brings him a LOT of negative attention. Negative attention that he's had to deal with ALONE for a majority of his existence, up until about fourteen thousand years ago.** (**A major event i feel caused a new era of Demons, we will talk about it more through the post)

Moving on to Mouse; i mention bad's role as a demon having an affect on negative things around him because i honestly think that applies to all or most demons. I don't know much about mouse's lore, but i do know shes proud of her heritage to some degree, is unashamed to tell people shes a demon, and will even actively teach people things about her species (Bringing back Bagi again - We know in cannon Demons smell like Sulfur, its been stated pomme and dapper and bad and mouse and tina all smell like it, and we can assume empanada also does or is starting to).

I, to some degree, think the beginning of her existence was much more accepting and inviting, while bad dealt with his negative experiences alone, and tina had her own upbringing we'll get into, Mouse came into existence during a "Dark" age, when bad was summoned to earth there was a wave of the newest generation of demons being spawned into this world(not in a "father of all demons" way but more in a "large expressions of magic often lead to a ripple affect of more magic" way). A lot of shit probably happened, im not insane like badboyhalo im not gonna research what happened but theres probably some kinda major event that happened. Demons born around that era probably had some kind of support system or way of existing that was underground enough for them to not be wiped out, but they had enough freedoms that mouse and others probably felt comfortable enough to express demonic traits.

I like to think this was the era of her life that had the most influence over her existence, that she was created with pride and will ALWAYS have that pride in her species, it may be dampened but it will never go away fully!*

*I like to think shes experienced maybe some shame over her species when it comes to minor historical events that shes contributed to by just being present, but it very rarely lasts longer than the event itself.

Tina, as far as im concerned, is the youngest of the demon trio aside from their kids. I kinda write her akin to Amethyst from SU, her existence was very recent and she was alone with very little or no initial support system, she was brought up thinking she was "wrong" in some way, her teeth and nails were too sharp, and she has horns and sometimes her skin has a purpleish hue to it that make other people think theres something wrong with her. She has a VERY obviously christian/catholic upbringing which was brought to light recently in one of her conversations with foolish. She's always felt shame about her species and she probably would have continued if it wasnt for mouse and bad, but ESPECIALLY if it wasnt for Empanada.

I have my own thoughts on the demon babies that we'll get into later, but after gaining her daughter who is very much going to be a demon (two demon parents, obvious demon child lol) i cant help but wonder how tina's planning on pushing aside her feelings of shame to make Empanada feel welcomed and loved regardless of her species?

Tina's very young, of course shes seen some major events in history but shes never been raised in community, she probably didnt even know thats just something that comes with the horns until very recently! I can imagine bad and mouse joking and giggling about that town that they stayed the night in that caught fire the next day that they got chased out of a couple hundred years ago, and i can imagine tina being confused as to why they found that amusing, is that normal? Tina's always had minor disasters follow her, her home town very likely burned down or got sick following or preceding a major milestone in her life, and thats probably continued to happen over the thousands of years shes been alive! Being a demon brought up in a very anti-demon environment, whos to say she even knew there were other demons out there really? She was a curse from god, she brought nothing but poor luck and sickness to her household (which i agree with you she was probably residing in an orphanage), she brought it everywhere she went. I cant help but ask myself "did she feel relief that it wasnt just her, or even more shame finding out this is a common occurrence for demons?"

Now thats most of what i have regarding the parents but i have a few notes on the demon kids. I think all the eggs have some sort of demonic features, obviously bads a huge influence on all of them and they care about him as their tia so i draw most of the babies with horns and tails of some kind, but i am particularly focusing on Dapper, Pomme and Empanada, the three demon babies whos actual official parents are the demons.

I dont have anything too specific for them, but i do believe they will grow up to have an attitude towards their species akin to how Mouse acts.

Unlike other demons or even their parents growing up, they have a support system and parents to explain to them things that will happen to them as they get older! They'll have someone to come back to, who will explain "Yes, that village got the plague because you walked through it and the sulfur you spread supernaturally brought illness and bad luck. No, its not your fault in particular. No, you shouldn't stop going into towns and villages, its the 21st century and if they cant stop the plague by now then they were gonna die anyway"

When they inevitably get shunned by humans for their species, they have someone to come back to to let them know that that wasnt right, but its a part of what happens to people like us. Maybe some day we wont have to experience that anymore, but right now the most important thing is to not get caught, and come home to your Mama so we can give you bandaids for your knees and treat your wounds.

I'm so very invested in how the demon babies will be brought up by their parents, i hope we get more demon lore in the future </3

thinking about an au (or post-canon hc but really far-fetched) where saiki ends up joining a theatre troupe somehow

basically, he gets fed up with not having any sort of safe space and not having many people he can be himself around, especially since his own HOME was never the place for that no matter how much he wished it was and he gets too tired of his family not respecting his privacy and his friends ruining every moment he gets to himself

and he decides that no matter WHAT gets in his way, hes going to MAKE a safe(-ish, i mean he still cant just be psychic around people for fun but he can prob be a little more lenient and express himself) space for himself

so he considers a few things like joining a school sport or club, but he still sucks at controlling himself in sports and doesnt want to let himself get any sort of popular at school where people he KNOWS are, which he realizes is the biggest part of the issue and he really wants a place where he can almost have a new start i guess ? like a vigilante with a secret identity who only comes out at night except its just a teenage boy who wants to be himself for a few hours a day LMAO.. he wants somewhere where nobody has any preconceptions about him at all and he can't embarrass himself by being "out of character.." and can just wear his germanium without worrying, so he eventually picks up theatre outside of school

he finds a job probably somewhat of a commute away from hidariwakibara so he can be sure (bad move buddy, NEVER think youre "sure") that none of his pet nuisances will ever see any of the shows hes in.. maybe at a youth theatre or a theme park ?

he probably does mostly just singing and dancing because i would think hed be a little more anxious to actually ACT on stage.. singing is different than SPEAKING, especially for him..

he doesnt tell any of his friends he got a job and just says hes been busy whenever they ask where hes been, so they start getting suspicious/concerned when hes NEVER at home when they come to see him and is way more uncharacteristically stubborn about being too busy to hang out (i mean cmon, usually he cracks after like ONE "please")

somebody he works with probably happens to go to/transfer to PK and starts greeting him at school once he starts forming relationships with his coworkers, so some of his friends see and ask him who they are and he has to tell him he works with them.. (he cant lie cuz theyre literally at his school and someone could just ask them)

i imagine he would still refuse to tell them WHERE he works, so someone like aiura or teruhashi or both probably befriends his coworker and finds out stuff from them..

its basically pheonix wonderland/wonderlandsxshowtime im realizing LMFAO, thats what im picturing as the type of shows hes in and how he sings/dances.. okay nene kusanagi ! bro doing those silly ass songs with a straight ass face

just wanna make a little post because! someone left a very respectful comment on WINRN asking a bit about SQH's choices transition wise. the comment has since been deleted so im not gonna repeat it (if this was you and you were worried plz dont be! i dont mind at all!) and i dont want to embarrass or put pressure on the person, but i thought id write my thoughts on that out here 😊

putting this under a cut because it got long lol

SQH in WINRN is a trans man, and has identified that way since childhood in PIDW-verse. In the real world, he was never out and never socially or medically transition, and had a lot of internalized misogyny and transphobia (which is gonna be explored a bit later in the fic). However, PIDW is canonically a world with no homophobia, which I am taking to mean no transphobia as well!

This is a major culture shock, and one that WINRN's SQH definitely says he is totally cool with and has internalized, but I think he still has a lot of internalized fear rattling around inside, which definitely plays into his choices of how he treats his body.

That said, many trans people don't actually experience a ton of dysphoria when it comes to their secondary sexual characteristics 😊 I myself have a very complicated relationship with my physical sex, which I am pretty much just directly giving to SQH haha. It's definitely not representative of every, or even most, trans experiences, just my own that I want to explore a bit through SQH, especially how that overlaps with having biological children.

Not wanting to medically transition can have a lot of reasons outside of medical concerns or cost. It's a really permanent choice. For me, I'm always like 'okay, but what if I miss my boobs? or what if it just makes no difference for me?' I, like SQH, still spend time not passing for various reasons, and it is useful to be able to girl-code myself when needed, which I wouldn't be able to do as easily if I had medically transitioned.

Drawing from trans friends experiences, some people also just actively like their bodies the way they are! I have a close friend who likes their chest a lot, and actually feels more masc and confident when not binding. Different vibes for different folks :))

That said, unlike myself, I do think that WINRN!SQH does eventually medically transition. His choice not to is a combo of ambivalence towards his body and fear of rejection, so once he is more confident and settled he and MBJ find like. A gender change fruit lol. And because magic, he can always swap back if he wants hahaha.

It hasn't come up yet, but WINRN is also T4T Moshang! Mobei-jun is also a trans man who has made very different choices than SQH when it comes to his transition. He gets much less self-shame/dysphoria, and transitioned later but went right for medical transition. Growing up in PIDW-verse where it's not a big deal gives him a different perspective than SQH. He just like... cut his tits off and did an ice ritual and was all set 😂

ANYWAYS thats just my gender headcanons for this fic hahaha. thank you for reading if you got this far! and literally never worry about leaving comments or asks with questions on the gender stuff, im very comfy talking about it and very hard to offend ❤️

The dungeon meshi was pretty much what I thought it would be.

Pro: the characters are so good and their interactions are so well written that it carries everything else. By a lot. The worst parts of this comic are guilty of being boring, and they are only boring because they are being used as shorthand to make room for the characters. Yeah we all know about Dwarves and Elves and Orcs, and the show doesn't dwell on it. Everything interesting and everything boring is serving the story and I appreciate the ecenomic use of the fantasy elements to get a comic out there.

Con: I didn't like the monster designs but thats probably a me problem. The author is faced with a design issue that is not unique to them; adhere to the classic depiction of a monster, which is boring, or try and present a classic monster with a new twist, which will either be interesting or very annoying. I found the more outgoing design decisions more annoying than interesting, and I don't really have the space to investigate why here - but I do have a lot of thoughts about it.

Pro: The cooking is so much fun. That is the selling point and it doesn't dissapoint. Everything looks good, and the use of ingredients is plausable. I especially liked drying out the slime to make a noodle dish. Man, i really liked all the downtime parts where they turn the monsters into ingredients. It really captures your imagination.

Pro/Con: The worldbuilding is so boring it's funny. People praising it makes me feel insane. It is super derivative by design!!! It is intentionally generic! It is on the same level of the test world I used to run to introduce new players to the concept of TTRPGs. If you were to homebrew a dungeon meshi world in D&D you would not need to change very much about the PHB. It feels like it could be a setting neutral campaign. What the fuck are our standards here? Im listing this as a pro because the author is using this to onboard people into a fantasy setting and it is very effective. The worldbuilding does not matter to the story or the characters very much at all, and thats fine. But I am also listing this as a con because it is such a nothing, white bread, RPG maker world and you can't let this be the thing that blows your mind.

Con: long time knowers of the me will know that one of my fantasy design quirks is Dwarf Beards. The Dwarf women do not have beards. I saw some blog posts that had some concept art, the wiki says "uhhhhh sometimes they do" but I have not seen any in the canon material that I have been exposed to and that is all that counts as far as I'm concerned. I will gladly retract this statement if I am wrong (maybe I missed it, or forgot it, or maybe it comes up later) but until proven otherwise - 0/10 this is the coward's choice.

favorite thing about them: old salt who is themed around isolation and loneliness? Idk do I have to even explain it further (aside from canonical facts- I really really love playing with the ideas of him fooling himself about his absolute desire for loneliness. This is me mirroring: due to various reasons I isolated myself for years, and I had truly convinced myself I hated everyones company, and wanted to live as far away as I could- however this was a coping mechanism. And Plukas does have a lot to cope with, let's be real. He seems 2 have like. a startling amount of apathy abt a lot of things, which i find at points relatable, alluring and concerning) (additionally w how much he seems 2 talk endlessly when he actually gets the chance. Id imagine he would be way more to the point if he truly wanted 2 get tf out of there asap.) (I also do find his voice acting incredibly soothing. Could listen to him for ages.)

least favorite thing about them: I can't even comprihend such a thing. The fact that he's not in my arms rn?

favorite line: Ok i could listen 2 him for days but i think this one got me in some way: "I had no time for books or television, or any of the escapes and artificial friendships of fiction. I would spend my days exploring the wide grounds and forests of our estate, finding the hidden corners I thought that none would have found before me –" He comes off almost as spiteful towards the idea of company of others. random headcanon: I tend 2 think he is rather immature. Socially and emotionally. I dont have 2 imagine im that person girl its me im the problem its me. I imagine he's surprisingly easy to upset. You prolly wont notice it bc instead of bursting w anger he'll sulk, which is also not great. bottled up feelings etc.

okay so to me, yuki holds personal choice and her own free will in very high regard. this goes along with the fact that she was supposed to merge with tengen as a spv but ultimately didn't go through with it. as far as i know, it's unclear in canon why she didn't go through with the merger, but i think her own choice to walk away played a major role in it and the higher ups let her do it bc of her technique (and because they're cowards who fear special grade sorcerers but that's another conversation)

in terms of appearance and presentation, i think yuki likes to play around with that sort of stuff. this is why yuki w dark roots/bleached hair is so special to me. i think she gets piercings, and then lets them close up once she's tired of them. i think she gets tattoos, and then maybe gets a few covered up. i think she should get to dye her hair purple and blue and pink and whatever other colors she wants. i think she enjoys buying new clothes and putting outfits together and making herself look how she feels, and her being trans just fits in with that so well. and i think she knew she was trans from a young age, and that solid aspect of her identity was something she could hold onto even as a star plasma vessel who isn't supposed to have a sense of identity, and that was how she knew she wanted to continue living as herself instead of merging with tengen. and along with the clear choices yuki has made concerning her appearance, i also think she doesn't cover up any of the things that are proof she's lived. she doesn't cover up her scars or freckles or moles with makeup. she doesn't shave her arms or legs. because she wasn't supposed to live as long as she has - she was supposed to merge with tengen and lose herself in the process - so everything that is evidence of the life she's lived is a reminder of how far she's come. they're a reminder that she chose to live, and it's a choice she wakes up and makes every day.

i don't think yuki was ever very close to her parents, and she never really had friends at school either. she learned to rely on herself when she was young, so by the time she ended up at jujutsu high, she was already independent. i do, however, think she got along fine with her classmates. but she clashed with the higher ups and most of her teachers quite a bit, and was always labelled as a troublemaker. i also think she had to fight hard to get full acknowledgement as a special grade - a lot harder than gojo and geto, who were basically just given their rankings. i think she had to prove herself several times over before the higher ups finally promoted her to special grade. i also think she was probably the sort of student who would not hesitate to call out the teachers if they were wrong about something, or ask questions that no one else wants to think about the answers to (hence, her going off and doing research on her own after she graduated)

i also think, at some point, she told the higher ups' her intention to study cursed energy and curses and figure out a way to cut off the problem at its source, and they all laughed in her face. i think the higher ups have basically ridiculed/taunted/looked down upon her from the moment she rejected her merger, and there are a lot of rumors spread about her that paint her in a negative light because of it. sometimes, she plays into them just because it gets people to leave her alone. in reality, she can be kind when she wants, but she's also tough and mean and and blunt and doesn't care if she hurts your feelings. she prefers to work alone, but she has a soft spot for people she can see her younger self in - people who are trying to figure out who they are and what their purpose in the world is. i think this is probably why she took in todo and trained him; she saw something in him that reminded her of herself, back when she was desperate for even one other person who understood, and she took on that role of being todo's one person who could understand

anyway this is long already so i'll stop here but. to me, the best yuki is one who shamelessly alive. someone who nearly had her soul taken away from her and now knows how precious it is to be in your own body and make your own choices. she doesn't have time for regret or guilt. she's determined and stubborn. she's powerful, and she isn't afraid to prove it. she's smart, she's strong, she's flawed, and she is herself

ended up getting VERY distracted and did not touch up the sprites like i thought i would but whatever its fine anyway, finally,

undertale yellow vengeance au mew mew (UNDERTALE YELLOW SPOILERS AHEAD)

id also like to note real quick: asks ARE open if anyone has anything theyd like to ask about the au

with undyne taking up the throne after asgores murder, the royal guard would be left with an opening for her position.

question is: whos the best fit to take it? the dogs, despite their rank and despite the undergrounds more negative tone from asgores death and the souls being stolen, are still too playful to really fit the role of Fearsome And Commanding Captain... red, without martlets push, joined a little too late to get the chance to prove herself as a potential captain, and probably wouldnt have the same ambition for the guard as she usually does, getting to know the rest of the guard less due to the atmosphere... and papyrus...undyne would never let it happen.

without many potential candidates left....what about undynes own training dummy?

a little different than undynes used to, coming across her new body sooner than usual due to undynes leave, and the general sense of emptiness following that until she spots it

but once shes acquainted with the body and challenges herself to undyne, id bet shed end up being a surprise pick (so in this au, she is)

maddy shares the violent passion undyne has, she has experience training with undyne,

...and of course it helps that her cool new body is robotic and can support attaching various forms of weaponry. that might give her just a bit of an edge. who knows.

her body in this au also isnt the exact same mew mew animatronic as it is in canon. its BUILT from it, but due to the undergrounds situation, alphys reluctantly decided to bite, and heavily modified the oversized doll, with the help of some generous inspiration (stolen blueprints) from the old security bot prototypes in the steamworks, after being permitted to investigate them once monsters realized it had mysteriously been turned on.

so maddy is now combat-ready, her body being faster, more durable, easily modifiable, AND strategically detachable and reattachable (the limbs, that is, her idea). and of course, still cute, maddy was very insistent that it stays cute

its unclear how many weapons shes currently hiding, but whenever shes asked, she just maniacally laughs. ...so no one ever asks...

she also prefers the title of "admiral" over captain, which undyne allows. as far as the guards concerned, its the same thing.

she also directly oversees papyrus' watchmen duties, as per undynes request, and the two end up hanging out fairly often whenever she has spare time since maddy doesnt really have anyone else whos available, and papyrus has no issues with her (hes Very hard to displease), plus nothing really happens, at least until clover pursues frisk out of the ruins.

thats about all ive got. honestly i cant think of many other major character stuff for the au, so the last character post could be clover (and frisk, double feature, why not) whenever i decide to make that, unless that changes. im not sure if ill make any big posts surrounding locations, but i do have some small ideas for minor new locations to go with the other changes, so we'll see if i ever bring those up.

for now though, other than asks if anyone has any, im probably gonna be a bit quiet on this au since im currently in other, very unrelated interest swings, like risk of rain :p

Again, new to marauders. This fic 3 that I’ve read. Feel free to shoot me recs, currently looking for ~100,000 word fic with a good angst balance and no major character death.

Summary: Overall this story was INCREDIBLE. I loved the writing style, such a good amount of angst, and an easy to follow narrative. It raised Harry like exactly how I wanted and was so cutey and sweetly and UGH

Chapter one

I already like the opening quote. Can tell the writing is going to be good.

I kind of forgot just how much he lost that night, like all of his closest friends were dead. Even in canon, with no world star this probably sucks the worst for Lupin.

Okay I’m actually crying already

I’ve been wanting a babyfic since the first one I read

This is such a hard thing to do, parenting is hard without the trauma and sob storying

Chapter two

I wonder how they are going to reincorporate Sirius

And I’m concerned about Harry’s quietness, I feel like that’s not consistent with who he grows up to be

Hoping for some baby Ron and harry content eventually

I never give Kudos until the end of the fic, this is incredible and I absolutely adore it already

Chapter three

They write Harry very well, not annoying as children can often be in fic

This is what I wanted, you see James and Lily in harry and remus is just thoughtful and reflective enough to show the audience the importance of this its just MWAH

Baby trauma. He’s so cute and being such a little bitch

Literally so sad, like remus is such a better parent than the Dursleys could ever be but him knowing what harry had makes it sad

God this sucks, like I know they aren’t truly in danger but the emotional turmoil goes crazy

3 chapters till we get Sirius saying it now

Cannot understate how much remus’s pining and distraught connects to me

Like I can tell they were in love but SO TOXIC which, again, is teenage girl core

Not to diminish the relationship, I think the way teenage girls evaluate breakups and romance is like peak human condition and is incredibly poignant amidst the issues of war and death and loss.

Chapter seven

UGH I know I said fuck Peter but this still sucks ass

I do need reconciliation but making sure the weight of tragedy is like there also seems important

But also, please, just fuck already

Yes I know I skipped 16 and 17 and I'm sorry.

Overall this story was INCREDIBLE. I loved the writing style, such a good amount of angst, and an easy to follow narrative. It raised Harry like exactly how I wanted and was so cutey and sweetly and UGH. I will say I wish there was more to the plot than “everyone is sad and trying to not be anymore”While that is a completely reasonable story, it does make it a little boring. But because this fic is fairly short it works out alright. My only true criticism is going to be on the pacing. I am not sure at all when Harry and Remus were introduced to each other, or how far after that Sirius came into their lives. I also think Harry and Sirius’ connection, while amazing, was a bit unrealistic at the beginning. For a child with this much past to IMMEDIATELY latch onto someone like this is kinda wild, but it works for the story so no big deal honestly. I think characterizations were good, not great. However, this is a situation we haven’t seen marauders in and I’m not super familiar with how marauders are usually characterized outside of reading the books and watching movies, so I’d reevaluate characterization stuff once im more engrossed in the fandom.

This is something I just thought about while adding tags, having moody in this fic was nice. He's a character I'd like to see more out of what I've read so far in marauders

9/10, truly loved this one

ch 417 spoilers ! talking about eugene's relationship with mandeok and cap guy!

damn it eugene i knew i shouldnt have put much faith in u at all considering the morals u have shown to have so far but im still upset 💔

anyways im crying bc it looks like mandeok, yuseong, and eugene arent besties after all 💔💔💔

yuseong and eugene especially have a pretty..... questionable relationship. it Looks like yuseong cares about eugene but i dont know if thats out of obligation either from himself or eugene making him think that way or if he genuinely worries for eugene as his twin :(

like look at the panic on his face when he hears news of eugene being hurt 😭😭💔

on a different note, eugene's response here is giving red flags 🤨 again idk if its out of genuine love and comfort as yuseong's twin or if its just a way to keep yuseong in his control 😭😭😭😭😭

either way, im 99% sure whatever's going on isnt healthy bc eugene is definitely taking advantage of yuseong who seems to have like,, a learning disability,, its just not a good look.

and about mandeok. look at these parallels

red tinted. mandeok standing behind eugene who's busy looking away, trying to aim for a goal using whatever means possible. eugene shrugging off any possible concerns mandeok may have, requesting he does his job. as a subordinate.

sigh. at the end of the day, mandeok and yuseong seem to be okay with working under eugene so thats something i guess. still, i wonder how much eugene considers them friends bc he at least seems to trust them the most out of any of his workers. his twin makes sense but it seems like mandeok he got the loyalty of either thru school as a classmate or he just. picked mandeok up from somewhere by noticing his talent for fighting ?? 😭

who knows. will it ever be revealed? i hope so.
