Ok, none of you know what's going on. None of you understand why so many women and young streamers are stepping forward right now. None of you understand why this has to be public.

Multiple large streamers have used their fame, influence, and money to manipulate and abuse those they see as below them. So long as they continue to have fame, influence, and money, this cycle will not end.

This is bigger than just individual cases of sexual assault or other abuse. This is a break down of a much larger problem within the entertainment industry.

These women are telling stories about very powerful men in this space. They are sharing stories of abuse and manipulation. This is very scary for them—it could ruin their careers or lives.

Stop saying "they should have handled this privately." This isn't a private matter. So long as these men have power, they will hurt more women. They aren't sorry. They won't play fair.

By trying to stay silent and bury these accusations, you are ensuring these women never know peace. You are ensuring that more women get hurt.

One day your boss will assault you, and all the men in your life will blame you for waiting as long as you did to speak about it. They will find any reason to blame you. They don't want to get rid of your boss. They hope that one day, they can assault a woman just like you.

This is fucking serious. This is real life. This isn't just some fucking fandom drama that we can bury and move on from. These are real life issues that require real meaningful discussion.

Stop trying to discredit these women just because your streamer is in trouble. You are part of the fucking problem.

Benoit Blanc is bad at solving dumb mysteries. It's his Achilles Heel. It's established very early in the movie. He gets booted out of Among Us. He sucks at Clue by his own confession. He effortlessly solves the mystery Gillian Flynn constructed because it's actually clever. But Miles Bron himself is such a stupid fucking thick as bricks dumbass that it confounds Blanc. He and Helen arrive at the correct answer (that Miles killed Andi) in that restaurant itself but Blanc dismisses it for being too fucking obvious, even though it was staring at him right in the face, all the time. But no, Miles and his half baked schemes are actually that stupid. Which is why it takes Blanc so long to figure it all out.

Moon Knight Fanfiction from the POV of Someone with DID

I don’t know how many people that write or read Moon Knight fics will see this, but I wanted to both vent and try to maybe get some tips out there about the things people are misunderstanding about DID.

I recently binged the show in preparation for the last episode coming out soon. I have fully seen the first 4 episodes and I’ve been told what happens in the 5th. The way the group works is, if I think a piece of media may be triggering in some way, but I want to see it, I let Mitchell know to watch, if he has a chance, the next time he’s fronting, and tell me if he thinks I can handle it. Sometimes Norah will do that instead of Mitchell if he doesn’t want to I guess. So, Norah actually watched the whole thing. I trust her judgement, and she said I could watch episodes 1-4, but that I should just let her summarize episode 5. Based on her summery, I don’t think I ever would have finished that episode without switching anyway. I also haven’t read the comics myself. We have some of the comics downloaded on our kindle, and they’ve been read, and while I assume Norah is the one who’s been reading them, she hasn’t said and I haven’t asked.

All that to say, I have been reading fanfiction about the show only, and I may have some blind spots on what has and hasn’t been demonstrated in the show.

The show, in my opinion, while definitely not perfect, does a pretty good job representing DID. I was very excited to find out that apparently the characters with DID are culturally Jewish and autistic as well, because I am too! That’s a lot a representation I can relate to. There are things that they do that seems a little off, but over all, I think it’s pretty good. Maybe I will review it more in depth after it’s all out.

Now, on to things I want to explain to fanfiction writers. I made a list.

1. If the body is unconscious, all alters are going to be unaware of whats going on outside of it. I’ve seen in fics where Marc, who’s in control of the body, will be knocked fully unconscious, and Steven will somehow be able to tell Marc what happened after he wakes up. What?! How?! You already have Khonshu to use for stuff like that. Say Khonshu told him if he needs to know.

2. Marc and Steven don’t require mirrors to talk to each other. We see in the first episode that Marc can say things to Steven without a mirror around. The show uses mirrors because it’s easiest for an audience to distinguish between the characters, and understand they are two different people if they physically show them both. There are fics that have them unable to talk to each other unless a reflective surface is around them. If you want them to not be able to talk to each other in the moment, just say they aren’t co-conscious.

3. They are not always co-conscious. The show has them frequently shown as being co-conscious or co-fronting, but they aren’t always. If they have DID, not OSDD, then they aren’t always going to know what the other has been up to. This, I will say, the show is not great at getting across, at least with Marc. He comes across like he knows everything about Steven and everything Steven has ever done. However, even with Marc, he doesn’t have the knowledge that Steven does about Egypt. Yet still, there are fics where Steven can’t keep secrets from Marc, because he will just know, when that is just not true. If you want to say Khonshu ratted him out to Marc, use that.

4. While sometimes you can have an out-of-body experience while being co-conscious but not in control of the body, you are not going to notice things that the body wouldn’t notice. You’re not a ghost roaming around the room. So Steven would not be able to tell what someone had hidden behind their backs to warn Marc about it, unless Marc could tell. I literally saw a fic where Steven told Marc what cards someone else had while playing poker. Not because Steven can count cards, but because he could look and see them. No. Not possible. Again, use Khonshu for that.

5. If Steven is autistic, Marc is too. Most people seem to understand this one, but some don’t. So for the people who don’t, if one alter has something like autism or ADHD, all alters will have it. Some may manage it better than others, but they all have it. I don’t want to read another fic where Marc explains to someone that Steven specifically is autistic. He can specifically be vegan, but he can’t specifically be autistic.

6. Television shows need characters to say their thoughts out loud because visually it’s better. So I don’t blame the show for showing Marc and Steven discuss things aloud, but they don’t have to. There are many fics where, whichever one is not in control of the body, will say something, and the other will not want to or be able to reply because they would be speaking out loud, and that would be bad/awkward. That’s not an issue in real life. I think some systems may prefer to reply out loud, but I don’t think any are unable to just reply by thinking.

That’s my list. It’s not long. I haven’t read a whole lot of fanfic yet, so I don’t know if those are even the biggest issues out there. I just wanted to kind of vent about the stuff I had seen.

DID isn’t magical. Yet some people write it like it is. Which for this show, is even more ridiculous to me, when Khonshu could be used as a magical all knowing outside presence. 

No hate to anyone. I respect fic writers for putting stuff out there. A lot of it, even with these mistakes, is still good. I just wish people would do a little research about things they haven’t experienced before.

Andi: I understand. You became a mother young. Is your husband as young as you?

Gemma: Yes. He is.

Gemma: Well…. He had been really upset for a while. Sad I guess. His whole life plan changed overnight…. But when I told him I was pregnant again, I was honestly surprised. I thought he might get angry, but he seems happy about it.

Andi: …. Does he get angry often?

Gemma: Recently yeah… But I think it's just because he's so stressed from work.

Andi: I'm sure… Well how about we exchange numbers. I work from home often, I'd be happy with some extra company.

! Andi talks about her year-long relationship with Punz and she recounts enduring emotional neglect, gaslighting, verbal abuse, and a troubling instance of dubious consent. the relationship began with Andi facing harassment from Punz's fanbase, leading to the decision to keep their relationship private for Punz's benefit rather than genuine concern for Andi's well-being. 

! Punz's racist remarks, mockery of Andi's accent, and reluctance to visit Andi's family in Puerto Rico contributed to feelings of inferiority and insecurity. He called a slur and said “oh you’re my little b3an3r”. He also said - while watching Bridgerton - that the sharma sisters weren’t attractive because of their dark skins. 

! Punz made Andi feel embarrassed and insignificant, refusing to associate with her publicly and belittling her in private CONSTANTLY. He knew she had BPD and he even promise her MOM he would take care of her but he constantly dismissed her depressive episodes and made her feel like she was the problem. He said she did it so she would get his attention. 

! His berating behavior and insults exacerbated her feelings of inadequacy and unworthiness obviously and additionally, he exhibited a very very controlling behavior, dictating changes to Andi's personality and content to appease his own freaking audience. “There were also some smaller things like the fact that he made me feel really guilty whenever he would spend money on me.”

! Andi also describes instances of body shaming regarding her eating habits, and criticism of her interests and appearance.  “For context, i used to suffer from an eating disorder. I was anorexic and had a really unhealthy relationship with food during high school and my first year of uni. […] So i had certain comfort foods that, while sometimes unhealthy, at least it was something to eat when i didn’t feel like eating anything. He knew this. Yet, whenever i would crave some of these foods he would call me fat” 

! he also had a consistent lack of effort and empathy towards Andi. he never took the initiative to plan dates, leaving Andi feeling unappreciated and longing for romantic gestures like receiving flowers, which he only did once, despite her PLEAS. he also exhibited disrespectful behavior towards Andi in front of his friends, using her as a source of amusement to elevate his own image “For example, once when i was showering, i overheard him on a discord call with George and Sapnap and i heard George say “if you don’t go in the shower and have sex with Andi, i will”. Once, when i was really struggling with my legs” 

! when Andi was experiencing severe physical pain due to undiagnosed arthritis, didnt care and he initially refused to take her to the emergency room, prioritizing his own comfort and streaming schedule over her health. he said he wanted to stream while his gf was in pain. insane. and even after relenting and accompanying her to the ER, Punz complained about the inconvenience she was. 

! the relationship ended on one-year anniversary, where Andi blacked out after consuming alcohol provided by Punz, leading to an encounter that she can’t fully recall. she gets drunk very easily and when she woke up, she was naked and he was joking about it. “Then he mentioned that i fell off the bed at some point in the night and that it was funny how drunk I was. I then questioned him. Because if he thought that me tripping and falling off the bed because i was so drunk was funny, how did he not know that i was too drunk? “ to this day she doesn’t know what happened that night

! after the breakup, Andi confided in Punz's friend about the incident on their anniversary. however, instead of offering support, the friend warned her to like be cautious about discussing it, suggesting that speaking out could have consequences. he basically said she shouldn’t imply she didn’t remember the sexual encounter because it would mean its rape. and when Andi sought validation from other friends, they downplayed the seriousness of the situation, suggesting that Punz couldn't be blamed for not realizing how drunk Andi was.

IN THE OLD POST SHE TWEETED:

she described her relationship with Punz as complicated and tumultuous from the start. they initially became friends due to shared social circles, and their friendship gradually developed into romantic feelings, although Andi suspected that Punz might not have reciprocated her emotions fully. despite this, they began dating, but Andi felt like she was constantly begging for Punz's attention and affection. she noticed that Punz seemed disinterested and distracted when they were together, which led her to feel neglected and invisible in the relationship.

! One very significant source of tension was Andi's friendship with another guy, whom she considered one of her closest friends. She had a lot of guy friends btw and Punz was jealous and disapproval of this friendship, which lead Andi to eventually cut off contact with her friend in an attempt to salvage her relationship with Punz. “i basically felt invisible to him. that is, when i wasn’t hanging out with my guy friends.”

! Punz abruptly broke up with Andi via text. Despite the breakup, they continued to engage in behaviors typical of a relationship, although without the commitment. So basically they were friends but doing couple stuff.  when one of Punz's friends showed interest in Andi, Punz reacted with jealousy and ended their "friendship" over it. “his friend and i talked about it and poked fun at the fact that he broke up with me but got mad at someone else paying attention to me. when 1 saw this (he ended up forcing me to show him the screenshots of the conversation) he was even more pissed and even more done with me. the next day he called me and we were basically back together again.” 

! during their “reconciliation”, Punz made Andi feel like she had to EARN his affection because of something he deemed unforgivable that /she/ had done. as a result, Punz treated her poorly, often canceling plans to hang out with friends and only seeing her late at nigh and Andi basically felt at Punz's mercy, with their interactions and plans dictated solely by his whims.

! this treatment took a severe toll on Andi's mental health, leading her into a deep depression and causing her to relapse into SH after three years of being clean. despite seeking therapy and making efforts to address her mental health, Punz dismissed her struggles and saw them as just another problem in their relationship. when they argued, which was frequent, Punz would use Andi's mental health against her, belittling her and making her feel guilty for her emotions.

! Punz would also dismiss Andi's emotional needs, labeling her as needy and clingy whenever she sought reassurance or expressed her desires. instead of providing comfort, Punz would respond with indifference or hostility. 

! He broke promises, he would go against his commitments, such as going to Las Vegas with friends on her birthday after promising not to. Andi also noticed Punz looking at “provocative” pictures of other girls on social media.

! “but there was a long period of time in our relationship where we had zero intimacy, and it wasn’t because of me. this fucked with my head a lot because i had this idea that because i was so emotional and needy that i could compensate physically. but when that stopped, my thoughts looked something like “the only thing i was useful for was sex and now he doesn’t even want that from me”

! She also thinks he was cheating on her during that time.

! after their breakup, Punz said he wanted to improve himself and the relationship, promising to go to the gym, consider therapy, adopt a healthier lifestyle, and plan dates to treat Andi better. However, Andi had reached her limit and no longer believed in Punz's ability to change.

! Punz shifted blame onto Andi, making her feel responsible for his lack of effort and dissatisfaction in the relationship. He would victimize himself and bring up past mistakes, such as Andi flirting with one of his friends, to deflect from his own shortcomings. 

! It took therapy for her to realize that Punz was not genuinely interested in her and only valued her attention when it suited him. And despite claiming not to want her, Punz would become possessive when others showed interest in Andi “he didn’t want me but he didn’t want anyone else to have me and that was the bottom line. that was the base off all the problems and toxicity that happened while we were together. “
