So, I planned on watching a lot of anime during my one week break. But I spent two days sulking (watching edits, amvs, reading fanfiction, you know) at the loss of the first anime of the week (Moriarty the patriot).

So I came to Tumblr to bitch about it but I spent another day reading comics, head canons, etc that were on Tumblr

I realized that the structure, style, and pacing of the season 3 TOH  episodes reminds me of when an anime will have a recap movie that condenses like a season or so of the show into feature film length running time. The season 3 TOH  episodes feel like recap specials that are condensing content worthy of multiple episodes to just focus  on the important story beats of the season. A lot of complexity ends up being lost and a lot of conflict ends up simplified by design.

one big question for kamisama kiss I have which was never to my knowledge explained in the anime, why did Mikage abandon the shrine and Tomoe for a very long time? maybe it was explained in the manga but to me that makes absolutely 0 sense for a God who has been shown to actively love and genuinely care for humans to just abandon his own shrine and familiar, leaving the humans without a God.

i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.
