Hey, guys, I'm back with another masterpost which is a collab with @i-actually-study-a-lot and we both are covering liberal arts topics, so without further ado, let’s get started -
liberal arts are subjects which should be known by a person to have a better perspective on life and participate actively in civic life.
so the subjects covered by liberal arts are
1] social sciences
2] humanities
3] natural sciences
4] mathematics covered by @i-actually-study-a-lot to find out more about the subjects visit www.topuniversities.com
liberal arts also refers to the detailed study of any of the subjects stated in the given branches of liberal arts.
while choosing subjects -
keep these things in mind
do you have interest in any of the subjects
do your school have clubs related to it ex- book club, environment club etc
will it help you in your future
will you be able to cope up with the workflow
what kind of faculty do you have
what kind of course it is 1] ib 2] ap 3] uni level courses
benefits of choosing liberal arts
Introduction to wider career choices
preparation of work in a variety of sectors
degrees are appealing to the employers
provides a foundation for graduate study
provides skills to become a valuable community member
now we know what is liberal arts and what are the pros of choosing such subjects so let’s move on to the tips -
choose subjects wisely as this lays the foundation for your grades and college or job resume.
have an open mind and improve your cognitive skills as many of the subjects are thinking based.
do all your homework and readings as these subjects are really content heavy and doing this will ensure that you will not fall behind.
be on time for your assignments [this is pretty self explantory]
definitions are important especially in subjects like biology and earth sciences.
take your own notes in class as many of the topics are based on your perspective on the topic.
participate in class as it will help you retain the information better and keep you active.
remember the specific terms of processes, people, era etc
Enroll in some online courses or study using internet
note - it may seem a lot of work but with perseverance and discipline it would be done.
Bye, guys, I hope you like this masterpost and don’t forget to check Zina's masterpost http://i-actually-study-a-lot.tumblr.com/post/165939311483/heyoooo-everyoneee-so-i-am-back-with-another.
Here are some more pages from my travel journal… It’s going great! I’m also taking it as a bit of a history project: looking up history of the places I write about, etc. I’m pretty proud of the results!
two weeks left in the semester - i’ve been using some extra discipline to push through these last couple online courses. super grateful for the professors that have lightened their loads or made deadlines flexible to accommodate their students!!
